Goal (Plan for your lineage): I'm going to try a staircase with Olives and Daydreams ^^ Daydreams are a big favorite of mine and I find myself growing more endeared to Olives by the second... I think their contrasting aesthetics will look cool together-- and they should be fairly easy for me to nab in the cave :'' D

Goal (Plan for your lineage): A bi pride spiral, pink/purple/blue. Currently thinking of a galvanic spine bred to male mirisias and female elux lucis, but I'm still debating some of the breeds.

I've been looking forward to this !! starting May 30th makes sense to me

I'm thinking about changing my spine dragon to Astralophyne's ... we'll see what I catch first maybe. In either case I'm very excited to start this and see everyone's lineages !!!

I have updated the participants list now to include all the recent joiners.

I am really glad to see so many for whom this is their first project. I think it is a good one to start with because of the limited time and fairly simple rules.

 

I am really excited to get started with this. I am still not sure which dragons to use. I really like the Occulri pygmies and might go with them, but it could be fun to use the Flare-Tails. I am not sure yet if they breed true or not, but I might do a spiral with the two colors of those.

OK I just bought my today/s one and had to switch breeds (to save shards !) - so my initial post is edited - it shows the existing one - that's OK, isn't it - the starter can be either base dragon ?

 

I am NOT going to win this year - I shall be travelling for a good chunk - but CAN'T miss out !

Good morning (or afternoon, or night...) everyone!! I caught my starter and updated my post. I ended up with a pretty cool code  

I might try to catch my second starter today instead of using a CB I already have-- If I do, should I add them to my post too?

You can if you want to, but it isn't necessary. Only one dragon has to be caught today or later.

 

So, I decided to go with the Flare-tail pygmies. I have one that I caught yesterday that sorts blue and one that I caught just after midnight that sorts red. My plan is to breed them together and then whichever color I get will be bred with a CB of the other color. Hopefully I can keep up with catching enough of the right color to keep going. It is a little risky to use a brand new breed.

 

By the way -- sign-ups are still open and will remain open for anyone who wants to play along. Chances of winning will of course decrease with time, but you can still have fun with it, so all are welcome!

I was able to grab my starting egg a few seconds ago, and got it added to the form. I'm hoping to catch one more today as well because I think these breed weird, and I'm worried about a 28 day reset if a pair refuses.

Yeah, that is even scarier than what I am doing. Good luck! Make sure you have enough Purples for fertility at all times. Less likely to refuse outright, but still the possibility of no eggs/no interest.

Snagged my starter (and updated my post with the lineage link for it)! Last night I was very tired and forgot what egg description I was looking for, so this morning I went "hmmm... I think something went wrong last night" and immediately saw and grabbed a striped first thing when I started hunting this morning.
