I've decided I'll stick with the W/R/M set up. Warriors and Rogues will have a greater weapon pool, but Mages will have more skill/magic slots.

 

Like, Warriors can use swords, shields, lances, maces, clubs, etc, while Rogues have stuff like bows, daggers, throwing knives, poison flasks and so forth. Mages get staffs.
