((I am so sorry i haven't made a post. I'v been so caught up in school work. The homework I get seems to have doubled, and I haven't had time to make a post. I'll try to make posts more frequently from now on))

Sandor had stayed quite during the whole time Diana had asked questions. He was trying to study the monster. He had never seen that kind and was having trouble placing what element it could be. He hadn't ever really studied monsters before, so he didn't have much experience with them. I definitely need to get better at identifying monsters he though to himself.

Then Diana asked for a wind element. He figured she wanted to demonstrate something. Maybe how weaknesses worked? That would make sense. Sorana step forward after Diana asked for a wind element. She said she had a dog-like creature. I wonder what it looks like he thought.

Helios watched as Diana smiled when Sorana stepped forward.

"Ah good. In that case I'd like for you to try a weak wind attack on the Kazmid. Nothing too fancy, just so we can see the effects the right element will have on it."

Helios turned his attention to the Kazmid. Diana hadn't made any move towards it, so it looked like she was going to leave it caged for now. At least Sorana wouldn't have to worry about the monster fighting back, unless her Fiend was so strong it destroyed the cage during the attack.

Hazel irises fluttered across the familiar sight of a military encampment once they finally reached it. Somehow, it didn't truly feel safe here either. Without his fiend, nothing ever felt safe. With a breathy sigh, he trailed the elder officer, his eyes surveying the array of leather and hide tents. Men and woman busied themselves, making it seem more like an ant farm. It made the young summoner's head spin.

A hand reach out to steady his body, catching Wes' shoulder, but it quickly dropped back to his side once he the throbbing in his head lessened. He hoped this wouldn't take too long.

Finally, much to the tired man's relief, they came to a stop at one of the larger pavilion's.

“Sadly me neither.” Bastian spoke sounding a bit grumpy as he got dressed. He straitened the clothing and pulled the hood over his head. He looked at Arthur and nodded to him that he looked disguised enough for them to fit in.

“Right lead the way.” Bastian spoke as he tossed the now empty bag on a pile of broken wooden crates.

The shadows of the hood did a good job hiding Bastain's face from view. Arthur could only hope his own gave him the same protection.

Stowing the bag away behind a group of weeds growing thickly at the alleyway's end Arthur started to walk towards the main street. Even though his hood should prevent anyone from recognising his face, he still had to take other considerations in mind. He bowed his head slightly and clasped his hands together pver his legs. If he didn't walk like an acolyte then people would get suspicious.

As it was no one took any notice of him or Bastain until they reached the temple. Vundiha's face gazed down at them from every wall. This was the Goddess' main place of worship after all, so every statue, carving and relief bore her depiction.

There was a guard at the gate, but seeing only two minor priests he waved them both through without a word. Inside Arthur coaxed Bastain to a sheltered alcove.

"I know the temple was partially destroyed during the Titan attacks, but I do not know how well it was rebuilt. Are the High Priest's chambers still where they were?"

Marching up to the centre of the pavilion, Wes brushed a thin strand of grey hair away from his face. Various soldiers were standing around, doing their day-to-day business, but he only needed to speak to the one overseeing transport. He was a short man with dark hair, and built fairly solid. He was infamous for his pessimism, and Wes generally found him difficult to work with, but he was bearable most of the time. They caught eyes with each other and the dark-haired man raised his eyebrows.

"Trason? What will it be today?" he asked, his pitch trailing downward in a slight disinterest.

"I'm going to need the next available caravan to Niefir, I am escorting a companion." Wes spoke quickly, hoping to speed up the process.

"Is that so? You realise there's a queue for these sorts of things--"

"This is a very important situation, sir." Wes cut him off and the two fell silent for a moment. Wes narrowed his eyes at the other man who stared back with a disgruntled expression. He cut the tension with a sigh.

"There's one waiting just outside of the stable." he folder his arms.

"Thank you." Wes nodded and ushered his companion to follow, not wanting to waste any more time.

Sorana stopped, eyes wide. Attack the Kazmid? But... That hardly seemed fair to the creature, being caged up without a chance to flee any attack. She hesitated, hands gripping her shirt at the collar. "I-I...," she started to say but the words hitched in her throat.

She was embarrassed.

Swallowing, she tried again. "I-I'm sorry but, I've never actually called my Fiend out before so, I can't say that I know how to...," she told Diana, her words trailing off in a soft mumble. She didn't know how to make it attack either.

Atani laughed behind her, causing her to cringe and focus her gaze upon the ground. "How do ya not know how to call yer Fiend? Ya should have figured that out before comin' to the school, dip****!" Atani taunted.

Sorana bowed her head and wrapped her arms about herself. She already knew all of that but, she was afraid of arriving even later than when she already had. Honestly, she wanted to slink away from the class but she didn't dare move, not wanting to anger the teacher for not doing as requested. "I'm sorry...," she mumbled, her voice hardly above a hushed whisper.

Diana's eyebrows rose in concern as the girl stuttered, a look of terror overcoming her. Something was wrong here. As the words finally stumbled out of her mouth, the teacher's expression changed to one of realisation. That wasn't too bad a thing - she should have spoken up before the lesson had started, though. But there was someone laughing at Sorana. Diana turned, mouth turning down as she spotted the culprit, who was now taunting the poor girl.

Atani? That was her name. "Inexperience is no cause for laughter," she seethed. "This is a school. People come here to learn, Atani. A place of learning has no place for cruelty or stupid actions such as yours. Kindly keep your mouth shut unless asked if you're not going to contribute constructively."

Turning back to Sorana, she gave her a reassuring smile. "You have no reason to be sorry. As I said, you're here to learn. We can have a session after this lesson to help you with summoning your Fiend. Don't worry about it. Now," she returned her attention to the rest of the class. "Would anyone else like to take a shot at this monster?"

Selena, not normally given to show any negative emotion, shot a dirty look at Atani for her outburst just as Diana voiced her own mind on the matter. Remembering her as the one who took just a little too much interest in the idea of a battle during breakfast - a battle in which some of their own number had nearly died - Selena couldn't help but feel worried that they may have their hands full with this particular student. However she took a moment to rein in her disdain for the girl and returned to a more neutral posture and tone.

"Sadly attacking is not the way of my own Fiend, except for tooth and claw, and even then only when she must," Selena spoke up after a moment. While Diana would be more than aware of that, the rest of the group had a varied degree of knowledge about Fiends and their elemental alignments. "Vulpis is of Vundiha's Light, and as such her powers are for healing."

((It seems like everyone is up to date O.o This is a new experience for me.))

Helios noted that he wasn't the only one that reacted with disapproval at Atani's words. Not only did Diana call her out on her petty insult, but judging by the expression on Selena's face she wasn't best pleased with the girl either. Atani, Helios felt, was one to be wary around.

Turning his attention to Selena when she spoke Helios realised her reasoning would be similar to his, as he was a light Summoner as well. He also had the added 'bonus' of having difficulty controlling Cerebus to begin with.

The only other student who could try and attack the Kazmid was Sandor. Bella's lightning probably wouldn't do much damage and as Atani claimed to be the same element she would do any damage at all, as Monsters and Fiends were immune to their own kind.

((I am really sorry, guys. Finals and stuff is keeping me busy. ;A;))

Castian wasted not a second after he was beckoned. They walked where they they were directed, the younger male not much less than a step behind the blond-haired male. The shorter of the two climbed into the caravan after Wes had spoken with the driver, explaining the situation. Finally, after some last minute preparations, the wagon was pulling out. Castian lay down as he removed his jacket. Balling up the piece of fabric, he lay it down to use as a pillow. He was exhausted, and his body was still healing. With his chocolate-brown gaze narrowing on the other, he remained still, trying to catch the tail end of a rest nap.

Sandor couldn't believe what Atani said. It was compleatly unfair. Sandor didn't know how to summon his own monster on the first day ether, so he could sympathize with Sorana. Diana then asked for someone else to step forward to attack the monster. He soon realized with Sorana unable to attack, and Helios being unable to control his fiend, he might have to step forward. He still wasn't sure about how to use attacks, but he could make something happen.

"I'll try" Sandor said. He took a step forward and summoned Rayanard saying "Alim". A horse, black as midnight, appeared suddenly next to Sandor. Rayanard, you need to attack it some how. Try seeing if you can put it to sleep Sandor thought at his fiend.

Rayanard walked toward the Kazmid and opened his mouth. A sound emerged that sounded like a quite white noise to everyone, but to the monster it was a deafening screech. The sound overwhelmed the Kazmid and it fainted.

((is this better? The reason it was louder for the monster is because the attack was direct in its direction and away from everyone else))

Sorana stepped back, allowing Sandor to step forward and make his attack at the Kazmid. Even with the reassurance of the teachers, she still felt withered and small. She cringed faintly when the Kazmid collapsed, uncertain of what Sandor's Fiend had done to the caged beast. The girl couldn't help but frown in concern, a twinge of pity rising in her chest for the Kazmid.

Glancing at Atani, Sorana saw the older girl smirking, a sneer in her expression. Atani had just stood there, snorting and grinning while Diana had briefly lectured her for her unfavorable behavior. From Sorana's viewpoint, it was clear that Atani didn't care about what others had to say to her.

No. Atani was not going to be a person many got along well with.

Now, in Atani's viewpoint, she was weeding out who were the more skittish in the group, who it was that had unsure footing in their place. From her outburst, everyone already disliked her. They'd been confused or wary when she had shown her interest about the battle that occurred yesterday. Good. Let them feel hatred towards her.

She wanted them to hate her, to snarl in her direction when she passed by. It made things more entertaining and fed the itch that begged for a fight.

She would surprise them yet and she would wait for when she could pull the rug right out from under their feet.

Diana watched the Kazmid being taken down with a sleep attack. The boy had chosen a good attack - something that would not kill the monster, but allowed him to practise. She liked it. "Well done. Thank you, Sandor." She returned her attention to the rest of her class, beckoning to them to follow her as she walked toward another monster in a glass box with small air holes. It was deceptively cute - fluffy and round, with huge brown eyes staring out from its mass of blue fur. "Does anyone know what this monster is called, or what its element is?"

((Feel free to give it whatever name. I've already decided on the element.))

Helios stared at the fluffy blue creature that Diana had gestured towards. He had no idea what this monster was. It looked kind of cute, but he knew better than to think it harmless. Appearance was no indication of strength or viciousness.

Everyone else was standing around being fairly quiet. Helios wondered if they were just as clueless to the monster's name and element as he was. However standing around in silence was going to hlep. He decided to make a guess.

"Is it an ice element?"

Castian was jolted awake much later by the wagon driver. His hand flew to his chest, as if to summon the friend hidden within his consciousness, but once he noted the harmless presence, he climbed from the back with a respectful dip of his head... as was customary of his family. The man might be a bit of a brat at home, but his parents had taught him manners.

He thanked the other summoner with a deeper bow, a faint smile touching his lips only briefly before he turned to head toward the school. It was not too far, and the young darkness summoner was feeling much better after his nap. However, his wounds still ached...

Soon, the male stood at the gates to the school. With a grumble, he knocked at the entrance, hoping someone would hear him.

Gladys had stepped outside for some fresh air when she saw a young man with dark hair approach the double gates. He didn't look like anyone she knew, so he probably wasn't local. She watched as he entered the courtyard and knocked at the main entrance, missing her in cool shade of the shadows.

"If you are looking for Diana she's out back with her students"

Castian feared he would die of a heart attack at this rate. A savory curse lift his crimson lips, and his hazel eyes stared down to search for the source of The mysterious someone's voice. He found the girl through squinted woman, and he nodded dumbly in reply.

"Oh. Eh, thanks?"

He slowly entered the complex, wandering aimlessly with no idea as to where anything was. That was when he realized the name Diana seemed familiar... Why was that? He was given no further time to rack his brains when the drum of voices caught his attention. He followed the noises blindly, and then he realized why he knew the name.

There stood Diana in one of the rooms he assumed was a training field... She looked even nicer when he was fully conscious.

The shadows of the hood did a good job hiding Bastain's face from view. Arthur could only hope his own gave him the same protection.

"I know the temple was partially destroyed during the Titan attacks, but I do not know how well it was rebuilt. Are the High Priest's chambers still where they were?"

“No, they build them closer to the ground this time. They created a separate building on the side for them. They got a bit afraid from the previous attack which killed a lot of them, so the build it closer to the ground they could escape faster if there were another incident.” Bastian spoke as he pointed down one of the hallways were the separate building was located.

~~

Bella didn’t talk much during the lesson. She only watched the other student’s reactions and learned more about them. She quickly took note who not to mess with. The current monster was familiar to her seeing she had read about them before but she kept silent this time.

Arthur nodded.

"Very well. We should locate the High Priest as quickly as possible. Normally I would suggest we split up, but it may be wiser to stick together."

A line of priests in identical acoylates robes walked past the two Summoners. Arthur waited until they had gone before walking down the hallway Bastain had pointed out.

Finding the High Priest's quarters did not take very long. With ease of escape in mind the chambers had been built quite simply. They were located just a few metres into the secondary building and the High Priest, a youngish man in flowing silver robes, was kneeling and praying in front of a small shrine.

Arthur stepped into the room and gestured to Bastain to shut the door behidn them.
