He pointed his horns right at the legendary. "WHERE IS YVELTAL!" He stomped around and the grass disappeared around him. "TELL ME WHERE IS YVELTAL NOW!" He charged angrily and pointed the horns at the legendary again. He then charged again.

Perhaps Shaymin was not thinking the situation through clearly. That or perhaps she was too concerned about Suicune and Ho-Oh to think beyond them. Saving the inhabitants of Ilex forest was always Celebi's top priority along with the safety of the visitors. Her own well-being came third to protecting the forest itself. Although connected, Celebi considered the forest to be higher value than herself. It was not only her home, but the home of hundreds of souls. Though many might condemn her for wishing for the safety of others before her own despite the fact that she was an important figure who had an important job to, Celebi continued to worry about others, despite the consequences.

"We're going to save the people of Ilex!" Celebi exclaimed as she stood up and let her tiny wings carry her forward. "We can't stop the poisoning of the lake and we can't stop the forest fire, but we can save as many lives as possible." Celebi flew over to Shaymin and hovered by her side. The sitrus berries had fully restored Celebi's energy, but the pecha berries had done little to subside the effects of the toxin. Celebi could not help but find herself glancing over to the clear lake once every while. As soon as she could, Celebi would for sure take a generous drink from it. After all, by the time everyone was evacuated, she wouldn't have a chance to enjoy a cool sip of water.

"It's twelve AM in the morning," Celebi explained to Shaymin. "Suicune appeared a little before noon. I need you to find the nocturnal pokemon and tell them that I came from the future to evacuate them from a forest fire and have requested for them to go ahead and tell everyone they can. Considering I have done this before, they are sure to believe you and do what you say without asking any more questions. However, just in case, I would suggest you try to find the eldest pokemon just in case as some of the youngest may give you some trouble." Celebi was about to tell Shaymin to run off and do as she told, but something stopped her. Celebi had neglected to tell Shaymin something important, something very important.

What else do I need to tell her? Wake everyone up and get them out seems like enough. What else does she- oh! That's right!

"Shaymin, this is very important," Celebi said as seriously as she could. She lowered herself onto the ground and looked straight into Shaymin's eyes. "Under no circumstances are you to interact with yourself. I'd even go as far to say to not speak with anyone you met after the Suicune attack this morning. That means no talking to Lucario, Mewtwo, Mew, Suicune himself, or even me. If you do end up meeting one of them, simply excuse yourself and run away. If they follow you, politely tell them you're busy and get away. If they persist to chase you, call out for me and I will come. Just remember, do not, under any circumstances speak with yourself, for if you do, the entire space time continuum could become flawed. Do you understand?" Although her words were serious, Celebi wasn't being completely honest. If Shaymin did interact with herself, the space time continuum would become flawed, but it wouldn't implode or anything of that sort. Diagla and Palkia would just have some work to do. Something as minor as saying "hello" to yourself wouldn't break the universe, it'd just cause some trouble for the lords of time and space, that was all.

Suicune's words were not only becoming dangerous, but also slightly concerning. The things he was saying was surely making Darkrai feel better about himself, but he could not feel that some of it was off. He scarcely believed that him and Cresselia were a balance. They were each other's counterparts, but they were not a balance. If they were to be equals, then she would need some chains as well. If he had a handicap, then so should she. Despite Darkrai's disagreement against Suicune's first words, he found himself agreeing with everything else the beast said. True happiness could be obtained through one's hardships. Simply being provided everything you ever wanted would not bring happiness but a shallow and fake feeling that would eventually be depleted. Darkrai knew little of this feeling, but when the idea of Cresselia not being loved unless Darkrai was around came up, he began to understand Suicune's explanation.

Seeing himself being motioned forward, Darkrai began to follow Suicune at a respectable distance. It was curious how Suicune seemed to be in a similar situation as him. Darkrai had never heard anyone curse Suicune's name as they cursed his. In fact, Darkrai never really heard Suicune's name spoken. It was used sporadically, and, when it was used, it was often followed by, "When do you think he'll be here?" or, "Lake's all mucked up. Reckon he'll be here soon?" Never were the comments expressing joy for Suicune's accomplishments, nor praising him for what he did, but at the same time, he never heard anyone express hatred towards Suicune. In Sinnoh, no one seemed to strongly feel towards Suicune. Perhaps it was different in Suicune's home region.

"So how do you plan to get them to respect you?" Darkrai asked as he followed Suicune silently. "You seem as though you have a plan."

Zapdos's words were dark indeed. The three legendary beasts surely knew of their master's antics. Where they not trying to stop their master's assault? Could they of have fallen under the same spell and support, or even help, Ho-Oh in his mad ways? Articuno felt a shiver in her spine at the thought. She could barely believe such a thing! Zapdos must of been as thinking as hard as she was for the electric type had turned her gaze to the ground. It was not comforting on Articuno's part to see her sibling so concerned. For the briefest of moments, Articuno wished godspeed to Moltres and willed her to come back to the Orange Islands.

The thought of Ho-Oh not being mad did manage to cross Articuno's mind. What if he was doing everything for a purpose? The question of what could provoke such aggression in Ho-Oh begged to differ. If he was not mad, then for what purpose could he have to attack Ilex forest. There was nothing, to Articuno's knowledge, important there besides Celebi herself. Her mythical power to travel through time was not false and had lured many bounty hunters after her. Ho-Oh could come with the intent of using her power, but surely he had no reason to meddle with the past. Diagla would come to Celebi's aid if her power was misused, right? He wouldn't let her get hurt, right? The answer to the question felt like a needle to the heart.

"Ho-Oh couldn't of attacked Ilex forest to use Celebi, could he?" Articuno asked her sibling as she lifted her gaze. "He... he wouldn't do that, would he?"

Y huffed at X's comment. Y usually ended up helping X every time even though he hated it. Looking at the creature playing in the water made him smirk, "Well... It is pretty cute, but it seems it is too focused on playing in the water... Fine... I'll help you again... But it better be worth it." Y pondered about leaving the water type. It was in it's element, and there, maybe it could fend for itself... Maybe. Until he could find out, he watched and waited.

It's not that Y wanted to abandon the kid, but he was completely clueless in this situation. Being a parent to a water type was not on his to-do list, but looking at the positive, he was back with X for another crazy adventure.

Reshiram rolled her eyes as the deranged deer charged back and forth beneath her. Only a true moron could be so daft.

Not to mention his grammar is truly dreadful.

She loosed a Dragon Pulse at him. Being a Fairy, he was immune to that attack, but hopefully it would at least make him stop his demented antics.

"Stop it with..." She paused almost as quickly as she began, what was he doing? "Whatever the hell it is you're doing. There's no bloody way I'm telling you where Yveltal is if you're going to act like a petulant child who can barely even speak. Now, begin again, speak in proper sentences, and be polite. If you do so, I will tell you what I know of Yveltal's location, though I have not seen her in many days."

Reshiram knew in her heart that Xerneas didn't posses the capability of doing as she asked. But it was only proper that she give him a chance to redeem himself before she told him off.

X watched the little pokemon run about in the shallow water, smiling ever so softly at the sound of its laughter. He barely registered Y's acceptance to help him as the orange and blue fire-type sat down in the sand. His tail shifted idly, the constantly burning flame at his tail-tip kept away from the rolling water. "I have a feeling that it will be...," he stated quietly, still watching the blue creature.

As the child played, X dragged his claws through the sand near his leg, uncovering a handful of tiny shells, bits of seaweed, and pebbles of various shapes. "Think we can find an Alakazam? Perhaps he or she could tell us what kind of pokemon the infant is?" he proposed, picking up a shell and twisting it in his clawed hand.

The doubt and concern in Articuno's usually light voice made Zapdos lift its gaze again and turn its head to focus on its sibling. "I have attempted to take advantage of Moltres' absence to expand my control before. Given the right conditions, the right mindset or train of thought, even Celebi could endanger the life of an innocent pokemon - knowingly or not." Did Zapdos hint at the possible idea of an outside force guiding Ho-Oh's unusual behavior? It wasn't sure but the thought had occurred and it tried to view the situation at the various angles that now presented themselves to the giant bird.

Its heavy wings shifted again, a bolt striking the ground near its feet this time. Zapdos' worry was not dispelled, perhaps only intensified, as its eyes narrowed further. "Each individual believes that it is doing some sort of good for the whole, even if others do not see it that way. Greed, a desire for power or recognition and respect, any kind of motif can twist the mind into something that is not normal for the individual in question." It stretched out its wings for a moment before folding them once more. "Each is of the mindset that when it does good for itself, it does good for all. No one truly has an ill desire nor a good desire because the very definitions of good and bad are subjective, things to be altered to fit the mindset of the thinker."

What ever was Ho-Oh's motif, Zapdos did not know it. It had not been there at the very moment when the sky guardian bade the land to perish in fire, it had only passed by as flames began to eat away at the trees and underbrush. At this point, Zapdos had no true anger to direct towards Ho-Oh, only confusion and worry. It really only wished for things to be resolved in a manner that resulted in as few casualties as possible.

Manaphy quickly found that sticking his face under water yielded some interesting results and contented himself with chasing smaller fish about in the shallows. He stomped through the water, arms held out in front of him, as fish began to leap out of the water. He ignored the two of them for some time until he suddenly stumbled and vanished under the water with a splash as his entire body was covered following his trip. Several seconds later, he quickly sat up and blinked several times. He looked down at his hands as they began to tremble, the sand having brushed against him during his fall and hurt his delicate skin quite a bit. His eyes watered up after a bit and he threw back his head with a loud wail. Sitting in the shallows, he began to completely break down in tears, holding his injured hands up above the surface of the water.

What? They could do that? But then… why couldn't they stop it to begin with? Feeling rather upset about this, she decided not to comment on this. She was probably just being silly since she wasn't that good at wrapping her head around time travel. It was rather hard not to feel down considering how many good ideas had been shot down in the past few minutes. So she shut her mouth instead of asking how it would work and remained quiet until Celebi finished explaining, trying not to beat herself up too much for being silly. "Okay," She replied with a nod as she jumped down from the rock. She just had to find some nocturnal pokemon. No big dal, right? Like, the Noctowl or something, he seemed nice enough. If she said Celebi's name, maybe they wouldn't attack her.

She started to move away when Celebi suddenly caught her attention again by staring straight into her eyes. Awkwardly, she stepped backwards, away from the time-travelling guardian. She couldn't… what? Her eyes began to comically spin as a confused look overcame her face. Space time continuum? Flawed? What?! This seemed all too much for her since Celebi had managed to throw Shaymin into confusion. "I don't…. What if I…." She trailed off and made a confused noise as she sat down on the ground and held her head. "I think so," She finally managed to say through her complete and utter bafflement and even fear. What if she messed up? Would Dialga eat her or something? Space too… would Palkia be pissed as well?

Suicune only smiled until the trees gave way to a very large lake. In the middle of the lake, there was a small island with a cave.. Lake Valor, home of Azelf. Certainly he had less of a relationship with the three lake guardians than he had Celebi so there was little hesitation as he moved away from the trees and to the open area surrounding the lake. People here did not seem to know of his efforts back home. He would be swift in delivering justice and strike before they even knew the changes that had occurred. Then, he would flee before Giritina found him.

He paused at the edge of the lake and turned back to Darkrai, finally willing to answer his question. "You defy them," He replied. "Do not shy away and do not allow yourself to be walked all over. Prove to them you are not just some doormat for them to discard as they please. You are a legendary! You are a god!" With that, he turned back to the lake and suddenly crouched down. Toxic, purple orbs formed around his body then rapidly flung themselves towards the lake in various locations, creating a purple smog in the air in their arc. As soon as they touched the lake, the water would quickly be overcome by the poisons and suffer a fate similar to Ilex. He would have his vengeance and, hopefully, Darkrai would join him as well. If not, he could easily force him by having him take some of the blame for the poisoning of the lakes. Darkrai would become his ally one way or another.

Shaymin looked anything but understanding. The poor thing probably had no idea what the guardian was talking about. Blinking curiously, Celebi began to try and find a way to make herself sound more clear. Being rather old, Celebi often found herself stunned at how little the youngsters knew. It never showed on her face, but Celebi was occasionally baffled by how little some people knew. Being a time traveler and someone who knew more than others would ever know in their lifetime didn't help with the matter either. However, despite the circumstances, Celebi always found a way to make it through the younger ones' heads. All she had to do was either use an analogy with a simple structure or use the most basic words in the smallest sentences she could manage. It seemed to work since when she did so, Celebi found that whoever she was explaining something to would brighten up and act like they understood what she said clearly. Since Shaymin didn't seem to understand, Celebi decided she had to use the same trick.

"Let me try to make it less complicated," Celebi chimed as she summoned all of her cheerfulness in an attempt to make herself sound more appealing and interesting. "I need you to find anyone who is awake and tell them to wake up everyone else up and evacuate the forest because Celebi can from the future and said to do so. Once you've done that, wake up whoever you find sleeping and tell them the say thing. If you see yourself or anyone else you knew after Suicune poisoned the lake, do not go talk to them. If you do, Diagla and Palkia will get mad and we don't want that. Does that make anymore sense?" Celebi didn't want Shaymin to think she was being treated like a small child, but with her failure to understand what the time traveler was saying, Celebi found no other choice but do butcher her own vocabulary. Even if Shaymin got upset with how Celebi was treating her, it would be better than her not understanding the instructions she was given. Besides, if Shaymin did get upset, Celebi could simply bribe her with the best tasting berries in Ilex forest as an apology. That always worked on Celebi!

A god? Why, Suicune sounded mad! To those who believed in myths and indulged themselves in tales of legendary creatures defying the realms of reality, Darkrai was a god, but in actuality, it was just another living breathing creature who just so happened to be closer to the creator of the universe than most. Suicune's previous words made Darkrai feel empowered and entitled to rights, but the declaration of being a deity was a bit overboard. Had Darkrai lived in any other region besides Sinnoh, he would of fallen for Suicune's declaration. However, Darkrai was not in any other region and was, in fact, in the region most touched by the creation trio and Arceus himself. Suicune's statement was obviously false. He was either trying to sway Darkrai into his good grace or had lost some of his sanity. Seeing how Suicune was speaking and acting, it was hard to pick between the two.

Although he stayed silent throughout Suicune's procedure, he could not help but feel uneasy. Darkrai was sure Suicune had used Toxic, but that didn't make any sense. He was suppose to purify lakes, right? He didn't taint the waters. That was the exact opposite of what he did, wasn't it? But yet, as Darkrai continued to speculate, he began to realize that Suicune was in fact using Toxic and he was, for sure, not purifying the lake but corrupting it instead. On a future date, Darkrai would scold himself for being so nonchalant about the lakes affliction. He didn't even think about stopping Suicune. He was much more curious as to what Suicune was trying to accomplish than whether the beast's actions were of good or ill intent.

Is this someplace important or is he just trying to show off? Let's see... it's a giant lake with a island in the middle. I... I think it is one of the three major lakes, the home of one of the lake trio, but no, that can't be right. Suicune wouldn't harm one of those lakes. That would enrage the trio! Wait, I know this place. I was here less than twelve hours ago. No, it can't be...

Darkrai looked around at the look more closely, scrutinizing every detail. He remembered last being at the lake. He remembered being attacked vividly and he could recall the Tangela he had accidentally extinguished the life of. He was at Lake Valor. He had promised not to return, but he had. This was the home of Azelf and Suicune was poisoning the waters.

"Have you no recollection of where you are?" Darkrai shouted as he shot forward and turned to face Suicune as he hovered over the water. "This is Lake Valor, home of Azelf! He will not take lightly to you trekking so near his waters. Surely you did not expect him to take your actions so lightly? You do not wish for a brawl, do you? He will most certainly come out here to face you!" Even as Darkrai spoke, doubt edged in his voice. Azelf was awake and wary. From what Darkrai remembered Azelf tended to stay near his lake while he was awake. Considered Darkrai had trespassed into his territory, Azelf should of become quite cautious and quick to strike at whoever came near his lake. The fact that Darkrai and Suicune had been chatting for several minutes before walking to Lake Valor without a single sign of Azelf watching them was concerning. Had Azelf left his post? Nonsense, he wouldn't leave his lake for so long without a good reason. He was probably hiding in the trees, waiting for the right moment to strike.

Although containing nothing but the truth, Articuno could not help but let out a defeated sigh at Zapdos's words. It was true, no one really ever thought they were doing evil. Some may think that they were doing the wrong thing on occasions, but such worries were normally diminished after time had passed. Ho-Oh, whether he was mad or simply hiding his intentions, was committing an act that Articuno, and a majority of others, saw as wrong. Though Zapdos's words rang true, Articuno simply could not believe that Ho-Oh thought what it was doing was right. If you were hurting another living creature, than you were most likely in the wrong. Certain occasions the rule did not apply, but in that of a common pokemon's life, it was true.

"Do you propose we go and try to speak with Ho-Oh's subordinates?" Articuno asked as she tilted her head to the side. Just as Zapdos's worry manifested into its powers, Articuno's follow suit. A cold draft was rising as ice prickled the shafts of her feathers.

"I have a feeling that they may be in support of Ho-Oh's antics," Articuno claimed as she shook her wings to flick off some of the forming frost. "But I do not think it will hurt to check and see if they agree with their master's actions. Worse comes to worst, we have a battle on our hands with a missing sibling on our side and three mutts on the other. Still, if we managed to catch them, I think we could get some answers as to why Ho-Oh attacked Ilex forest." Articuno spoke as though she expected the three beasts to be together. The legendary beasts were a band of brothers that stuck by each others sides and would come to each other's aids without fail. The legendary birds were not so close. Although siblings and allied under Lugia's wings, the sisters were not so kind to each other. Every once in a while someone would call Articuno fat or someone would push another straight into a Hyper Beam. They'd poke at each other and scream at one another from their respected islands. They were siblings and would stay by each other's sides, but they would do so all the while giggling and snorting behind each other's backs.

Scizor hid up in the trees as Suicune and Darkrai conversed. It had taken a wrong turn and Darkrai was yelling at the Purifier. He decided he was stealthy enough to poke his head out of a the branches and look at the two. The Pincer Pokemons mind raced to and fro as Darkrai stood above the water as it was turning purple. He didn't poke up in time to see the blue pokemon use Toxic. Surely he must of done it? Suicune must of been trying to stop it. Scizor didn't want to get involved with two legendaries, even with his newfound mega power. Concern and doubt made itself present inside his mind, worrying him farther. What did the shy pokemon do to deserve this responsibility?

Scizor hoped it was better to save the nearby wild pokemon instead of dealing with the two legends. Scizor turned around inside his little wooden alcove that shaded him from the two, and put his feet against the wood. He pushed off and rocketed through the foliage around him. He now laid in a bush, covered in scratches and bruises. Nothing a local berry bush couldn't help. He was about to yell for the pokemon to disperse from the area, but he didn't want to be bothered, or attacked, by Darkrai. It wouldn't matter, more pokemon would be dead if he didn't yell. "Everyone! Please leave the area, scatter from the lake! Its not safe anymore!" He ran through the trees and trails yelling the phrase. Everyone had to know. One thought came into his head as he was yelling, 'Where is Azelf?'

Yveltal didn't feel like waiting around for the other Pokemon's response. She spread her wings and started flying once again. "Hope you find Suicune," Yveltal said the sky pokemon before finding a thermal and gliding on it. She thought about Suicune once again and how he was poisoning lakes. She felt a feeling inside her. If this were to spread...she immidiately decided to abandon her goal as a free flier. She had to warn others about it! If this were to get out of hand...she then thought of how precious Kalos was, even though no one liked her. She turned sharply and started heading for home, fighting headwinds. It was nothing she couldn't handle, she fought headwinds before and Arceus willing, she would get home before Suicune got there.

Banette cocked his head one way then turning it the other way. What kind of Pokemon was Jirachi? "What kind of Pokemon are you anyway Jirachi?" he asked. "Why do you say 'hide'?" "It's a long story Banette," Victini said, cutting in. "I'm not going to tell you, but if Jirachi wants to tell you, then so be it." Banette sat there, blinking at Victini. "Alright," he said. "I apologize for asking. If you don't want to tell me, then I'm okay with it." He then smiled at Victini before smiling down at Jirachi.

The idea of searching for the three beasts was far more pleasing than simply sitting around and doing nothing while Ilex possibly burned to nothing and Celebi was seriously injured. Zapdos spread its wings again, this time beating them downwards instead of folding them back once more. The sound of its heavy wings filled its ears as the yellow bird lifted off the ground; it was slightly tedious but, once fully in the air, flying was much easier. Electricity crackled between its feathers, jumping from wing to wing. It wasn't really something Zapdos could control, just something that always occurred. However, it was a fortunate thing that the bolts never left its feathers unless the Legendary wanted them too.

"Do you propose that we start with Ilex forest? Or should we begin our search elsewhere in Johto or Kanto?" it asked its sister. Zapdos believed that Ilex would be as good a start as any, if not better. Surely, if Ho-Oh was there, at least one of the beasts would be present in the forest as well. Wouldn't they? However, it sought a second opinion from Articuno. She was the more restless, the bird with the greater desire to fly about and see places outside of her island home. Perhaps she had caught sight of something relating to the three beasts or Ho-Oh without really knowing it.

It had tripped and disappeared from sight for a moment. X stood up quickly, unknowingly holding his breath until the blue infant popped back into his field of vision. But then it started to wail once more, holding its arms above the water and sounding as if it might have been in pain. "Hey, it's okay. No need to cry," X hurried to say, moved towards the tiny pokemon with his tail held high above the water; even after so long, he feared the flame on his tail going out.

Bending down to scoop the child up, the Charizard gently cradled the infant. He didn't know what was wrong, why it was crying. Maybe the fall had startled it and the baby needed to express his fright. "It's okay. There's no need to cry anymore."

Groudon watched as Yveltal left and flew towards what Groudon could tell by direction, the Kalos region. Seeing that it was just Giratina and him, he decided not to confront the dragon and started walking away. Groudon had no clue why Giratina was feared or why he was put in a prison realm, but Groudon held no grudge and decided to let him have his peace. Being a slow walker, Guratina could catch up to him in seconds if he so chose, but right now, Groudon just wanted to get back to Heatran to check up on his friend.

Y looked at X and pondered his idea. Certainly an Alakazam would be wise enough to tell them it's identity, but finding one would be difficult. "Why don't we ask some water types? The ocean is huge and has hundreds of more pokemon than the land. I think that is where we should start." Y winced at the though of flying over the ocean, asking water types for help. The last thing he wanted was to accidentally get in the water and drown... The wailing of baby caught Y's attention as it threw its hands in the air. Shaking his head, he looked at X, "I think it's hands are hurt judging by its actions. You should tend to it by kissing them better."

Without a word, Articuno followed her sibling's lead and lifted herself up into the air. Unlike Zapdos, Articuno found taking flight to be a much easier task. Using her ability to bring an updraft of cold air, Articuno willed the chilling air to aid her upward. Her graceful wings sliced through the air as she began to ascend. The frost that had begun to form upon her wings fell away as she shook herself, causing said frost to crumble to the ground before melting thanks to the sun. The heat and humidity in the air was making Articuno begin to feel woozy. She didn't care for the heat and longed to go into somewhere cold, somewhere frigid where Articuno could sing her heart out as the snow drifted from the sky.

At Zapdos's question, Articuno slowly began to go over their options. It was likely that Ho-Oh hadn't left Johto just yet, but, then again, Ilex forest was at the edge of Johto so it was possible for Ho-Oh to be heading off towards another region by the time they reached Ilex forest. If the beasts supported Ho-Oh in his endeavors, then they would most likely not be Ilex forest as well. However, if they didn't support Ho-Oh, then it was possible that they were in Celebi's domain. Although, if anything, the beasts, if not on Ho-Oh's side, would probably be out looking for their master instead of going to the crime scene. Even though Articuno's heart told her to go to Ilex forest, her mind told her otherwise.

"Ilex forest may not be the best of choices," Articuno said carefully. "Investigate we must, but I have a feeling that the beasts will not be there. If they are on Ho-Oh's side, then they will not be there and if they do not support him then surely they will try to figure out what their master is doing. Besides, Lugia has already been sent there, no? If the beasts are there, I am sure he will interrogate them if he gets the chance." Now the question of where they should search came out front. Johto and Kanto were the best choices for sure. The beasts, if they hadn't left yet, could be in Johto or, if they did leave, were likely to be in Kanto seeing as that was the closest region.

"I say we either do a quick fly around Johto or go ahead to Kanto," Articuno proclaimed. "We can stop at Ilex forest, but I do not think we should linger there for long. The beasts are fast and quick to flee. If we are to catch up to even one of them, we need to think very carefully about our options."

The intruder was not making any sense. She just rephrased what made Registeel confused in the first place. Did the female have some mental issues? Registeel itself had never dealt with someone with a mental handicap and it was quite ignorant of what exactly someone with a mental disability did. Regigigas never really explained how its minions should deal with those who were different from others. They were just told to treat everyone the same which usually meant either leave them alone or terminated them. For all Registeel knew, those who were considered different from others either lived happily or burned together with the rest of the life on the planet. Glancing at the intruder, Registeel began to analysis her body in an attempt to see if there was anything majorly wrong with her. She seemed to be rather normal. Her hips were curved much more finely than most and her body ended in a very odd shape, as though she was wearing clothing. Registeel found it disturbing that her legs just disappeared under a cloak of black which, evidently, was also part of her body. It was as though she had been designed to wear clothing which didn't make any sense considering that Registeel had been around when dresses were first invented. How a natural creature or take the form of a material object was curious in itself.

Thinking back to the intruder's words, Registeel decided that the female was not mentally ill but a poor listener. Unlike other creatures, Registeel could not try to find smaller words to explain a situation. It had a set vocabulary and literally could not comprehend itself insignificant and lowly words. It was in its programming to use a certain level of vocabulary just as it was within one's mindset to speak only what they knew. For several moments, Registeel stayed silent as it tried to figure out how to explain the situation to the intruder. Maybe if it ended his sentences at every word, she'd pay attention more. Registeel would have to pause after every word and sound like it was, as the natural beings called it, constipated, but it surely would work.

"Question Not Answered." Registeel suddenly shouted flatly, but clear. "Comment. Given. Is. A. Repeat. Of. Previous. Statement. Are. You. Prepared. To. Wait. For. Me. To. Return?" It was highly possible the female had answered Registeel's question and it probably didn't hear her. It wasn't looking for a mid-between answer but more of a straight "yes" or "no". That was what it was taught to look for and that was exactly would it would wait for.

Tears filled Manaphy's eyes as his mother lifted him out of the water. He held his injured, scratched-up hands out to the Charizard briefly before the feeling of air stung them too much and he was forced to hold them close to his body instead. It hurt! It stung and it hurt! Couldn't his mother see how much it hurt? He had picked him up, sure. But he wasn't doing anything aside from speaking to stop the pain. Despite the comforting of X, his wailing only increased in volume until he was crying at the top of his lungs, trying to get the point across that everything really, really hurt.

Shaymin frowned slightly at the sudden cheerfulness. She blinked slowly as Celebi explained to her again what was going on, this time in smaller words and with more… something. She couldn't place her paw on it but she felt degraded and humiliated. But that wasn't the point, was it? She did understand this time so that meant she had to hurry. It didn't matter if she felt patronized and treated like a child because there were more important matters. Sure it made her feel weird but at least she understood. So what if she felt upset?

"Yeah," She replied with a nod then quickly turned away from Celebi. She could do that. The threat of the two legends coming after her still lingered but she bolted off anyway, quickly scurrying into the brush. It was too bad it was so early or she could try to track down a flower to transform into her sky form. It would be so much easier if she could do that. Well… maybe she could find one and keep it with her until the light came back and then use it. Yeah, that was a good idea. She quickly picked up the speed until she stumbled across a sleeping caterpie in the grass. Oh, good. Caterpie were much better to deal with larger pokemon. "Hey," She called out, nudging it with her head until it woke up and shook its head. "I need you to get all your friends to evacuate. This forest is going to burn and Celebi said so so… go!" She nudged it again and the pokemon quickly scampered off. Good, now she could try to find a flower. Picking up speed again, she ran forward into deeper parts of the forest.

"Of course I know where I am," Suicune replied coldly. "And it matters not, be it Azelf, Mespirit, Uxie or anyone else. The thing pokemon don't seem to realize is how much they need me. They need my skills. When they forsake me, I'll forsake them back." He ground his teeth together, wishing now that he had fangs like his brothers or claws. He wished he didn't look like a pushover and he could actually show how much pokemon should fear him. But that didn't stop him from staring at Darkrai, his white tails whipping about in the air around him. "Pull yourself together," He replied, stepping forward. He wouldn't touch the lake but he'd get close. "You are strong. You are like me. You should rally with me and show these creatures what their world would be like if you got angry. Your nightmares and my toxic water will cripple these people and who do you think they'll plead to when that happens? Some god Arceus? Well where is he?" He swept his paw around, gesturing to the area around them. "He's not here. He either doesn't care, or he doesn't exist."

"Me?" Jirachi asked, rather surprised. Well, they were friends. He was positive he could tell Banette since he was his friend. "No, it's fine," He replied with a quick smile and a wave of his arms. "I am Jirachi. It's what people call me so I guess it's what kind of pokemon I am too. I usually am supposed to be sleeping right now so I can regain energy to grant people's wishes but every time I went to sleep, I lost my friends. So I decided not to!" His grin widened as he looked at Banette, proud of his accomplishment. "Does that answer your question?"

Cresselia had slipped away from the scene. It was all very much out of her control and understanding. It didn't matter. She did not need to understand - she needed to find Darkrai. There was still too much disturbance near Stark Mountain for her to search for him. He could have stayed in the vicinity for that very reason; buying himself time in their endless chase was all he ever did. But she doubted the oaf had enough knowledge of his opponent to know how she tracked him. And, assuming their confrontation there wasn't just one huge deception, he wasn't "good with people". She snorted at that thought. He wasn't good with much at all. She flew back to the mainland, trying to pick up the trail.

She was nearing Veilstone City when she saw a small figure flying toward her. It was...Azelf? He was certainly farther from his lake than he should be. If he was heading for the gathering at Stark Mountain too... She approached, bowing her head in acknowledgement. "Ah, Azelf. We meet again. Why the hurry?"

Uxie's mind soared on the wind, searching for her brother. For anyone but her, mindwalking would have been a disorienting experience. She felt information in its purest form, unaltered by her senses - and she could feel the knot of legendary presences at Stark Mountain sharply even from half a region away. It was nearly all she could do to ignore it and focus on the task at hand. She had checked Lake Valor first; empty, except for the wildlife naturally present there. All seemed in order. She spiralled outward from there, hoping he hadn't gone far.

She was zigzagging above Sendoff Spring when she picked something up. A powerful signature, distinctly blue. Her body, back in Lake Acuity, sighed in relief - if that was him, and she was quite sure it was, they could warn him in time after all. She headed toward him -

- and was jolted back into her body by a sharp pain. She hissed, nearly falling into the water, before steering herself to her cave and collapsing at the entrance. No. "Lake Valor has been compromised," she gasped.

Cresselia.

Azelf wasn't far past Veilstone when the Dream pokemon spotted him. Had he been so slow in his tracking? Well, he wasn't brilliant to begin with and there had been moments when he had difficulty separating one trail from another. Tracking involved knowledge and that was Uxie's specialty, her talent in locating someone wherever they might be. His tails twitched, a frown lighting his face. "I'm trying to find Darkrai. I debated on letting him go peacefully as he had but my mind cannot be at ease knowing of his crimes at my lake. I must have vengeance," he remarked.

Something made him pause, faintly turning his head to the left as if he might have heard someone's voice. Pushing the idea away as likely nothing, the being of willpower shifted his ever flowing tails, displaying his anxiousness. "Have you managed to locate Darkrai? Is he somewhere nearby?" he pressed.

Still circling around her sister, Mesprit flew back as Uxie jolted. She hurried to catch her sister as she collapsed, forgetting about her concentration to remain calm. "Uxie! Sister! What's happened? How can Lake Valor be compromised! No one would harm Azelf's domain! Would they?" Fretting and moving about restlessly, she hugged her tails close to her body. "Are you able to teleport, sister? Perhaps I can lend some of my strength. How badly are you hurt?" Mesprit started to help her sister back to her feet and into the air, seeming much like a mother who would be worried sick about her children.

Whether or not Uxie had the strength to teleport herself, Mesprit did so for the both of them, carrying Uxie along with her unless her sister freed herself from the Emotion spirit's grasp. Mesprit was reckless much of the time, acting on initial emotions rather than thinking things out. This is why she hurried to Lake Valor without much thought about the consequences. She appeared in Azelf's cavern, finding it empty as before. Was he outside? Was he hurt? Something was wrong and she could feel the animosity, the toxic poison of cruel intentions.

Mesprit wailed and hurried out of the cavern, hardly thinking to see if Uxie had actually teleported with her. "Brother!" She came to a sudden halt when she registered Suicune and Darkrai's presences, confusion flickering through her mind and gaze as she tried to comprehend what was happening. Lake Valor was changing in color, an ominous dark purple substance replacing the clear blue liquid. Darkrai hovered over the lake, facing Suicune; the former was appalled - horrified even - while the later was filled with rage and spite. Why was Suicune so spiteful, so angry? And what had horrified the bringer of nightmares?

She didn't see Azelf anywhere though.

Kiss the hurt hands to make them better? With his scaly mouth? If the blue pokemon was hurt from a small stumble in its step, X was likely to make it worse with his rough scales. Cooing softly to the baby, X began to move towards the tree line in search of a Leppa berry bush. It was restorative so maybe it could solve the infant's pain problem. Well, it's what he hoped for. Some feet into the forest, he found what he was looking for and gently plucked one of the berries off a branch. "Give this a try. I think it'll help," he said to the infant, holding the Leppa berry an inch or two away from its mouth.

Kanto. It was as good a start as any. After hearing out Articuno's reasoning, Zapdos had to agree with its sister. "Very well. We'll start in Kanto," it stated. Powering its wings, it propelled forward, climbing into a nice, warm, thermal to carry its weight so it didn't have to tire out its wings so soon. It was lifted higher and higher until the thermal leveled out for the most part - give or take a few slight bumps. Articuno was a bit different, requiring cooler air for easier flying unlike her siblings. As such, Zapdos tended to fly at a bit of a higher altitude than she but this mattered not unless they were fighting; to have height over your opponent was to have an advantage.

Zapdos shook its spiky head, dispelling the strategic thoughts. It was not going to battle its sister this time. It was going in search of at least one of the three beasts. The pair of birds could do nothing about Ilex forest; its fate rested in the hands of others. But, maybe they could do something about Ho-Oh indirectly by doing something about his underlings. The question remained, would the beasts help the birds or would they help their master?

With a sigh of relief, Celebi waved Shaymin off as the little grass type scurried off into the words. Good, that was one problem solved. Taking flight once more, Celebi headed on over the clear lake. It was both joyful and saddening for Celebi to see her reflection in the lake. The water was pure and cool, but it would not last as such for long. In a matter of hours, Suicune would use Toxic on the lake and there it would sit, undrinkable and inhabitable. Celebi had considered herself Suicune's friend to some extent. He didn't necessarily like Celebi as much as she liked him, but it should of been clear enough that she somewhat cared for the beast's well-being. Well, it was obvious none of that mattered now. Suicune had decided the world was against him and Celebi could do nothing about that. In her experience, Celebi knew that the only way for his mind to change was for him to either see the true results of his crime, be locked away, have a loved one die, or wait until that one magical person came around and express a single tidbit of knowledge that would open Suicune's eyes for what he was truly doing, Alas, such a thing had yet to pass and all Celebi could do was stare into her reflection.

Cupping her hands, Celebi pushed her stubby hands underneath the lake. The water tingled between her fingers and she could see a Magikarp peering at her curiously from within the pond. Celebi brought her cupped hands to her lips and drank the contents. The cool refreshing water drizzled down her throat. She felt fresh, anew and full of life. Prompted by her great thirst being curved, Celebi dunked her hands into the water several more times and drank her fill. Once satisfied, Celebi took to the air once more and looked around herself. She had to warn the others but first, she had to take care of an important errand. Although the people of the forest meant everything to Celebi, she had once more issue to attend to. Flying forward, Celebi began to go the deepest part of the forest where laid await an object from the distant future.

Aghast, Darkrai staggered backward as his mind reeled with confusion. What Suicune was saying, or at least what Darkrai thought he was saying, was to bring about a destruction that had not been seen since the days of Arceus's judgement. He was talking about bringing an end to the current world, to turn the planet into a wasteland and ratify a new world out of it. Suicune was either onto something grand and he was completely and utterly mad. Darkrai's brain told him that it was the latter but his heart whispered that it was the former. The struggle between what Darkrai knew was morally right and what he secretly wanted to do was beginning to start.

On one hand, Darkrai knew that he couldn't just help Suicune in his quest for destruction. It was a self-righteous quest doomed to failure. Arceus would eventually get involved, there was no doubt about it. He himself may not get into the situation but his creations would either inform him or take care of the problem themselves. The lake trio was probably going to try and contact the creation trio as soon as they learned of Valor lake's demise. Even if they didn't get in contact with Arceus, the other legendaries would get involved. According to Suicune's words, Darkrai determined he was going to try and poison all the water sources in the world. Darkrai knew for a fact that none of the other legendaries would like to have their only source of water cut off from them. Not only would the other legendaries rally against Suicune, but the common pokemon and the humans would follow as well. Sure, Suicune may gain a cult following, but it would not last for long. Suicune's failure was imminent and his demise would be so as well. If Darkrai paraded behind him and said he supported his ideals, then Cresselia would finally be able to get rid of him. No doubt she'd sing and dance joyously for the centuries to come. If anything, Darkrai should be trying to stop Suicune and not help him.

On the other hand, Darkrai silently agreed with Suicune's dark words. The people on the planet had become greedy and selfish. Most only cared for themselves and those who had the leisure of helping others didn't last long. The world was biased and full of hateful souls. They did not appreciate what was worked hard to be given to them and even had the nerve to complain about it! Suicune must of worked tirelessly for centuries to keep the world's water clean and what did he get in return? Nothing but complaints on how late he was to get to the neighboring pond. Darkrai himself was placed in a role he did not wish to take. He was to set nightmares upon all of who came too close to him. He was to be a messenger and terror of the night. He could not control his powers and yet people acted like he was a menace. Darkrai informed others that he couldn't help himself. He gave them the evidence of it and yet they ignored everything he showed and told them and simply deemed him a monster with no concern for others. Such filthy creatures who didn't give him nor others a chance to prove themselves shouldn't be allowed to live on the planet. The world would be a better place without them and, frankly, Darkrai saw no problem with that.

"I...I can't..."

Slowly, Darkrai had began to slowly back away with Suicune. Although his face could scarcely be seen, his voice held on the confliction in his face. He had his birth given morals. By the world's standards, helping Suicune would be wrong, but, at the same time, Darkrai defied those morals. The same creatures that taught him that Suicune was doing evil were the same creatures that said Darkrai himself was a monster. What was so evil about trying to fix the world? It was justice, was it not? If the average person was told that Suicune was trying to make the world a better place, would they not say that was a good thing? Why did it matter that Suicune had to kill innocents to serve a greater cause? Wasn't that still considered good in itself?

No! It's wrong, so very wrong. It's....I can't...I just...

Although she felt like a quick flew around Johto would be the best choice, Articuno did not disagree with her sibling's suggestion. She simply nodded and, with a flap of her wings, began to follow her sibling. While Zapdos climbed until she reached a flattened thermal climate, Articuno went as high as she could until the cool air finally began to seep in. It was nowhere as cool as Articuno would of liked it, but it was better than the full blown heat she would of experienced had she ended flew else where. Even though Articuno felt intimidated that Zapdos was above her, she did not protest. They were not fighting one another at the moment. For once, they were actually helping each other and trying to accomplish a goal that would be seen as the right thing to do in their master's eyes.

Crying wasn't very easy for Manaphy and was also very tiring. But even though it hurt, his cries were short lived and faded back into sniffles by the time his mother carried him away from the water and held something out in front of him. Holding his hands close to his body, he stared at the round berry then leaned forward and tried to bite into the berry. Of course, due to how hard the berry was and his lack of teeth, tearing a piece off of the Leppa berry was near impossible. But instead of being upset by this, Manaphy was actually calmed and latched onto the berry like it was a pacifier.

Shaymin honestly wasn't sure why Celebi had entrusted her to such an important task when the creatures were more likely to listen to the guardian than her. Indeed, she had tried to wake up several pokemon in her hunt for a flower but they had dismissed her words and gone back to sleep. It was frustrating but she wasn't going to stick around when they obviously wouldn't listen. It was stupid to waste time on that. So she carried on through the brush, roaming about at random and trying to convince the pokemons he talked to of the oncoming danger. Some listened, others did not. Hopefully Celebi would be back to tell the ones that did not of the fate of the forest to spare them from doom.

The struggle was obvious in Darkrai. Although he was a bit upset that the Nightmare pokemon had not outright joined him in his pursuit for greater things but at least he had not been flat-out denied or attacked. In fact, it took several moments for Darkrai to actually speak and when he did, it was a stutter. "You can," Suicune insisted stubbornly, not taking his answer. He stood tall and looked up at the floating pokemon, his head raised to add to his noble look. "You can and you will," He added. "I will not forsake you like everyone else does. Isn't that what you've wanted?"

A sound nearby suddenly caused him to turn and move away from the lake just in case someone was smart enough to push him into it to fix the water. As he moved away, he turned to face the newest arrival. Mesprit?! This was lake Valor, not hers. She seemed confused. Perfect. His mouth quickly snapped open and a small, purple ball formed in front of his face. The Shadow Ball zoomed towards Mesprit at high speeds, expanding as it moved. He'd beat her down and then finish off Sinnoh. He'd run into too many legendary pokemon here and needed to keep moving before they tried to stop him. He had no time to just ignore pokemon. He'd have to strike first and ask questions later.

"I don't know," Uxie breathed after a few moments, as an answer to all of those questions. She wasn't physically hurt, but it would be a few hours before she could try to mindwalk again. "Azelf is somewhere north of Sendoff Spring. If we go now, we can still - Mesprit, wait!" Ever the impatient sibling, she did not, and Uxie found herself in Lake Valor's cavern a second later. "Mesprit! Whoever did this might still be - " she cut herself off as her sibling flew outside. She bit her lip. The lake had been poisoned - more thoroughly than she had thought possible in a single day, let alone so suddenly the pain had nearly knocked her out. Who could have done this? Who would want to do this? She followed her sibling outside, tails dragging along the ground.

There was too much information for her to process all at once. Suicune. The shadowy presence of Darkrai. The feeling of hundreds of lake-dwellers, suffocating slowly, all at once. And a Shadow Ball headed straight for her sister. "Mesprit!" She used what little strength she had left and threw herself at the attack - and was blasted back, landing heavily on the roof of Azelf's cave. "Why?" She choked out, before collapsing into unconsciousness.

It took her a moment to realize that Suicune had shot a Shadow Ball at her. Mesprit's eyes widened as it rushed towards her, growing bigger and bigger as it flew. However, Uxie's shout filled her ears and then she watched her sister take the hit instead, collapsing on the top of Azelf's cavern. "Sister!" she wailed.

Suicune had always been a subject of fascination with Mesprit and she was constantly trying to get him to play with her when she saw him. Everyone needed a small break from their duties, didn't they? Sometimes he would decline and other times he might humor her a little. Except, now she was enraged. She lifted her hands up, a light blue ball of sparking energy growing into existence before firing off bolts into the sky. Her Future Sight attack disappeared, promising to return for Suicune later.

Her amber eyes began to glow gold as she shot towards Suicune. Darkrai's presence was barely of any consequence to Mesprit but she wasn't going to attack him. No, it was Suicune she despised and, so long as Darkrai didn't get in the middle, he would remained untouched by the emotion spirit. A rainbow-colored beam of energy erupted from the gem on her forehead, the Extrasensory attack crossing the closing distance between Mesprit and Suicune. "Vile creature! You desecrate my brother's lake and attack my sister! All without provocation! What have we done to you that warrants such unruly behavior from a Legendary!"

Ilex forest could get much darker than one may expect. Sure, the outskirts of the forest were full of light and filled with the chattering of its inhabitants, but the deepest part of the woods was dark and foreboding. It felt rather dank and could bring out claustrophobia out of the bravest of souls. It felt as though the trees were squeezing together and, as though they were self-aware, leading whoever dared to enter away from the deepest part of the forest and back to where they started. Theories and speculations could conclude several things about the phenomenon. One may say Psychic or Ghost types were lingering in the dark realm, creating illusions to make sure no one entered the deepest part of the forest, however, this theory could debunked by the fact that everything was eerie silent in the dark part of Ilex forest. Ghost types were surely include haunting screams or terrifying roars and Psychic types were not known to waste their power on such a petty task. Some may say the forest was cursed others may guess that Celebi herself was hiding something sinister in the heart of the forest and did not want others to see it least they think poorly of her. The latter conspiracy was probably the one closest to the truth. Celebi did have something she didn't want others to see and it could be potentially dangerous and make others think poorly of her. However, the guesses of what the object Celebi had was never had been correctly stated.

An egg. That was what was in the heart of Ilex forest, what Celebi worked so hard to protect. Many legends told of how Celebi could utilize time travel, but only one mentioned her job of bringing an egg back to the future. She could not recall where said legend was from. Most likely from an old forgotten book for all she knew with only the oldest and most literate of people knowing the legend by heart. It was probably only a page or two of illustrations of Celebi going to the future and past with an egg in her hands. Something on the lines of, "Celebi has been known to bring eggs back from the future. These eggs hatch into pokemon that no one has ever seen before," written on it. Whatever the legend was, Celebi didn't know it well, but, it was true, whatever was written on it.

For sure enough, as soon as Celebi brushed by the shaded trees and into a shaded clearing within the deepest part of the forest, she saw a large gathering of moss around the roots of a great tree. Those who did not know about the clearing, which was everyone but Celebi, would simply assume they had found a small clearing without nothing important in it. After all, the clearing itself was not the only one in the depths of Ilex forest and was simply one of many. Any normal person would just walk on past, mumbling under their breath as they tried to find a way out. Celebi, however, knew better than to just fly on by. She hovered forward, moving towards one of the large bundles of moss. She lowered herself to the ground and began pushing the moss away with her hands. Her eyes glowed blue and the moss she was not pushing away was being lifted upward and towards the other piles of moss. From within the pile of green, gemstones began to shine brightly. Excitement rushed through Celebi and she continued to dig. The more she dug, the more of the egg showed. After several moments of digging, Celebi let out a chirp and took to the skies once more. Still using Psychic, Celebi hovered in the air was a bright white egg with gemstones sticking out of it floated besides her. This was the egg she had collected from the future and this was the egg she was sworn to protect until the day it hatched. Once it was hatched, Celebi would go back to the future and bring back another egg, protect it, wait until it hatched, and then let the cycle repeat again. She could protect the egg while warning others to leave the forest. It wouldn't be too difficult considering most pokemon would just think she was saving a random egg, a random and peculiar egg. Few would question what the egg was, but they'd most likely let it slide once they were informed they had to evacuate.

I only hope they've listened to Shaymin. If not, then... well, I hope I get to them in time.

Tucking the egg underneath her arms, Celebi turned around and flew back towards the outer rim of the forest, hoping only those who heard Shaymin's words listened to her carefully.

(I'll wait for Suicune to reply before I do a Darkrai post as he's probably just going to be sitting there until someone calls out for him specifically.)

There were many things that Suicune was but a Sociopath? He didn't really think himself as such and rather liked to thing he empathized with creatures. But the same feeling appeared now as when he had watched the waters pollute Ilex and Lake Valor. His dull eyes watched the grey and yellow creature sail through the air with a shout and use her own body as a shield before crashing to the ground nearby. He didn't feel anything. No remorse, no sorrow. He honestly didn't care if Uxie was dead. It ultimately didn't matter and it was her own fault for getting in the way. An attack like that wouldn't have done that much damage to Mesprit since she seemed in full spirits but there was obviously something previously wrong with Uxie to be taken down by just one Shadow ball. There was no reason for her intervention, especially if she was weak. What was the point of helping if you were just going to end up like that? He had expected more of a fight, honestly. Were these the great lake guardians that everyone worried about? Now that he looked at them again, they seemed awfully… frail.

A glow nearby caught his attention and he turned away from the fallen Uxie back to the original and still very much present threat of Mesprit. Some kind of attack in the shape of a beam slammed into his head, driving him backwards slightly as his feet dug into the Earth, trying to prevent the attack from forcing him backwards too much. Grunting slightly, he turned to the side and jumped away, moving closer to where Darkrai floated. He was very much aware that most Psychic moves did not affect Darkrai. "Consider what I told you!" He barked. He couldn't get tangled up in a fight here and would flee quickly if Darkrai hesitated any longer. With Uxie down, it seemed like her lake would be the next best target. "Now is the time to decide if you'll be a doormat your entire life or stand up for yourself."

None of the forest inhabitants were listening to him. He wasn't well know, or just maybe they didn't care. He had never called wolf before, and this was honesty. Maybe the weak Scizor just wasn't taken seriously. He briefly flash backed to when his father tried to make him walk into a hive of Beedrill, when he was just a Scyther. He wouldn't do it and got outcasted by his father. Boy was his father strict.

He had enough of trying to warn the ignorant pokemon, maybe it wasn't that serious at all. Maybe Suicune had a plan. Or perhaps Darkrai was actually trying to stop Suicune from purifying it. His mind was twisting as he thought of the possibilities.

Scizor walked towards the edge of the brush and watched the... battle? Uxie was atop of Azelf's cave, Mespirit had some move blasting towards Suicune. Wait, Uxie was seriously hurt. Scizor knew what he had to do. He jumped, or attempted, to get untangled from the vines and pieces of wood. After nearly tripping, he leaped off the ground and flew towards Uxie. Hopefully Mespirit wouldn't think he was attacking her sister. It would've been helpful to bring a few berries, but he wasn't thinking right. He landed on the slate of rock that Uxie was on and tried to check her heartbeat. She was still alive, but he wasn't sure how hurt she was.

[stuff is bad, please don't cry. Just wanted to update Scizor]

The screeching cry Uxie let out as she was flung backward brought Darkrai back into reality. He let out a small snort of disbelief before backing up an inch. For a moment, he completely forgot where he was. Last he remembered, he was hiding underneath some trees in the shadows. Since when he did he go to Lake Acuity? Then, everything rushed back to him. He was right above Lake Valor, a poisoned Lake Valor for that fact. Suicune had poisoned the lake and began to pursue Darkrai to join him. Darkrai didn't remember when Uxie and Mesprit came into play, but he guessed they teleported to the lake for some reason. Perhaps they were looking for their brother. That wouldn't be too hard to believe for Azelf had yet to show himself. Where was the embodiment off willpower? Wouldn't he be upset that his lake was not corrupt? The answer was yes, but yet, Azelf still did not show himself. He must of run off somewhere, but where could he of possible run off to? It didn't make sense to Darkrai. Azelf never ran off from his post unless he had a very good reason. What could possible tempt it to leave his lake?

"Sister!"

Now with a clearer mind, Darkrai turned to face the sisters who where on the island in the middle of the lake. It was fascinating, in a dark and humorous way, to see Mesprit's eyes full of pain and confusion flicker to rage and pure hatred. It would of been terrifying if Darkrai had not seen the same expression many times before. Sometimes it was from Cresselia, sometimes it was from strangers who had realized what Darkrai had done to their loved ones, and sometimes it was from the his own reflection in the cool waters lapping beside Newmoon Island. Mesprit, with her face contorting with anger, lifted her tiny arms and shot beams of blue light into the sky. Darkrai, thinking she was attacking him, grunted and narrowed his single blue eye. Did Mesprit actually think Future Sight, a psychic attack, would do her any good? He was a dark type, not a fighting type! He wouldn't take any damage from the move. She wasn't an idiot, so what was she planning to do?

"Vile creature! You desecrate my brother's lake and attack my sister! All without provocation! What have we done to you that warrants such unruly behavior from a Legendary!"

What was she going on about now? Darkrai didn't poison that lake, Suicune-

Oh.

Seeing Mesprit let out an Extrasensory, Darkrai realized that Mesprit was not attacking him but was, in fact, attempting to harm Suicune. She had arrived after Suicune corrupted the lake, hadn't see? Was she simply guessing that Suicune had done it instead of Darkrai? If that was true, than Darkrai couldn't help but feel glad and upset at the same time. Mesprit did not see him as unruly as to desecrate Lake Valor, but at the same time she had the audacity to accuse Suicune for doing so. The idea that Mesprit might of seen Suicune poison the lake vanished from Darkrai's train of thought. He was certain Mesprit hadn't seen the water turn purple and was miffed by the fact that, in his mind, she was taking out her anger without making sure it was the truth and the full truth.

Suddenly, Suicune spoke. Darkrai turned his bright blue eyes towards the beast and silently listened to him. Stand up for himself or be a doormat for the rest of his life? Well that was a rather accusing statement. Darkrai stood up to himself! He didn't let Cresselia get the better of him, did he? No! He took his stand and demanded for her to leave him alone! Of course... she never did. No matter how many times Darkrai left Newmoon Island she'd always find a way to put him back on it. Whether if beat him enough to make him do so or if she got Arceus on her side, she'd get him on his island. But, Darkrai did try, didn't he? He fought back and didn't let her always win! But, at the same time, Darkrai did find himself softening up to her. Sometimes he'd go easy on her. He'd sometimes smile when he saw her. She never noticed, of course, but that didn't mean the memories of doing so left him. He....he actually enjoyed her company. She wasn't so bad when she wasn't screaming. Honestly, he kinda liked her more than he admitted. Maybe...maybe it wasn't so bad to be a doormat, to let someone else to take the reigns. Maybe that was what he should do. Just go easier on himself and her, to be an object of comfort as opposed to an obstacle. After several centuries, the eternal waltz was becoming that and Darkrai was seriously beginning to like it. That single thought was exactly what made Darkrai almost growl with disgust. He was no one's toy, no one's mutt to be petted and thrown into a cage when they got tired of it. He was the Nightmare pokemon, the night of the lunar duo! He was no pet, he was living breathing being and he would not be toyed around with Cresselia any longer!

No, she doesn't deserve it, no one deserves it. Let them rot.

Lake Acuity is north-west of here and a good place to start your next attack, Darkrai said quickly to Suicune telepathically. I'll try to get Mesprit off of us long enough for us to make our escape, but if it doesn't work I'm afraid we may have to fight her. Though, considering how pitifully weak she is compared to her siblings, I doubt we'll have much trouble disposing of her. Darkrai gave a quick glance down to the poisoned lake. Suicune had clearly intended for the waters to be deadly when drank. Did that also include when you touched it?

Would the toxins you put in the lake be strong enough to keep Mesprit at bay? Darkrai asked Suicune as curiosity got the better of him. Worse comes to worse, we can also see if she enjoys a little dip in the lake. Looking back up, Darkrai began to look for a means of distracting Mesprit. She was enraged, clearly, but there had to be something to divert her attention. Maybe if he attacked Uxie, then she would- wait! Who was that? Turning his attention to a red blur heading towards Uxie, Darkrai recognized the form of a Scizor racing towards Uxie at a fast pace. If Mesprit was emotionally incapable, then maybe she'd see a threat in the Scizor besides an ally. It might work and, if it didn't, Darkrai could simply send an attack after Mesprit or find a way to shove her into the water. Either of those options would probably work.

"While I do understand your concerns with the lake," Darkrai began, hoping Mesprit would hear him through before she attacked. "I think I should draw your attention back to your sister. It seems someone it racing towards your sister at quite a fast pace. Oh, it seems they've reached her. Doesn't look like they have any berries or potions on them. You don't reckon they're trying to hurt her, do you?"

Latios awoke the moment he heard his sister's voice. It was past dawn already? He hadn't meant to sleep in, and usually the rising sun woke him up. Perhaps he had slept longer than he had meant to simply because he had been so tired the day before. He felt a bit guilty; how long had his little sister been awake, waiting for him? He was supposed to be the strong one. Maybe she had awakened only a minute ago, but he couldn't be sure.

The blue pokemon rose up into the air, noting that the sun behind him was at the right angle. They needed to travel as efficiently as possible, and moving in the right direction to avoid needless turns and angles was a part of that. Flying was quite nice, even if he was exhausted and wanted to rest a bit longer. Anyway, it only took a few hours before they reached the coast, and then it was a short distance over the rocky terrain before they reached the tunnel known as Victory Road.

"We're here," said Latios, hovering over the entrance. He knew that he was stating the obvious, but he was excited. Maybe he shouldn't have been excited- there was no guarantee that the Soul Dew would be there, after all- but they had been traveling for awhile without it and it could be there. Everything would be worth it if they could just find the Soul Dew.

Latias followed her brother inside. It was quite dark, but she was used to dealing with caves by this point. A glimmer caught her eye and she rushed over. It couldn't be the Soul Dew already, could it? It almost looked like it, but it turned out to be a Smoke Ball. She sighed audibly and turned back to her brother.

"IT IS HOPELESS, IS IT not?" She said sadly, "THE LIKELIHOOD OF US FINDING OUR SOUL DEW IS QUITE MINISCULE. MAYBE IT WOULD BE BEST IF WE SIMPLY WENT AND ASKED ARCEUS FOR A NEW ONE?"

Latias hated the concept of admitting defeat, but at this point she was beginning to wonder if it was worth it.

"Answer my questions, Suicune! Do not avoid me!" Mesprit circled around the pair of pokemon, a bit higher than their eye levels. Suicune had moved closer to Darkrai and she thought him to be a coward for doing so. "My siblings have been nothing but kind to you! We have shown you respect! Perhaps I have annoyed you in the past but I annoy many simply because I wish to play!" Her circling wavered faintly, caught between rage and sorrow, between confronting Suicune for his violations and seeing to her sister.

She didn't really pay attention to what the beast was saying to Darkrai. But she picked up on the swing of his emotions, the confused fluxing. This threw her off and she stopped circling. Was she imagining things? Or did Darkrai become malicious about something? Was he malicious towards Suicune? Towards her? Was it something else entirely?

Mesprit's tails shifted restlessly, her mind working to absorb the changing situation before her. Then Darkrai was speaking, saying something about someone getting near Uxie. What? Glancing over, her tails continued to weave restlessly and she focused on the Scizor. Was it intending to hurt her sister? There wasn't anything dark in its emotions, only confusion and maybe irritation. "Y-You're lying... Y-You're trying to distract me...," she started. She shook her head, frowning. "Why are you being mean? W-Why are you lying? What was Suicune talking about?"

The Emotion spirit trusted the pokemon around Sinnoh, no matter how grumpy they were. She heard of Darkrai but knew next to nothing about him. He brought nightmares, that was well-known. But she didn't care so long as she could have a playmate. Yet, Darkrai appeared to be playing some kind of twisted game, one that Mesprit didn't like. Was he helping Suicune, was he against the beast, or was he on his own side?

The lake guardian wanted to wail, to curl up in a ball and not be in this situation anymore. She wasn't good with trouble like this. She wasn't able to solve problems by herself. Uxie and Azelf were more for thinking and rationalizing than she was; she was the impulsive, the one who followed her emotions instead of facts or what her instincts told. But she was alone. She didn't have her sisters to support her or to guide her.

Her Future Sight attack returned, raining bolts of psychic energy down towards Suicune's back. The attack was slightly wide in its strike-range and Mesprit realized that Darkrai might get hit. She wasn't mad at the dark-type, only confused. It was Suicune she was enraged with. Battles weren't a special knowledge of hers so, by lack of experience, she didn't know how much affect her attack would have on him. As such, she rushed forward to push him out of the way.

Maybe he would assume she was attacking him head-on but she didn't think of how he might interpret her actions or the consequences that would result. Future Sight was highly accurate so it was likely that Suicune would be hit as originally planned. Moving to protect Darkrai resulted in her tails being struck by the outside bolts and she yelped. It wasn't really damaging to her but it was still surprising.

Azelf! I need you! Where are you, brother?
