Book Number: 1 Number Of Pages: 253 Book Title: Protector of the Small Quartet Book 2: Page Author: Tamora Pierce Rating: 4.5 Review: I love Tamora Pierce almost as much as I love dark chocolate. Her character in this series, Keladry, never fails to bring both a mix of originality and real life characteristics. Though she may seem surreal because of her cold outer shell, her determined attitude and smooth exterior can't always hide the fact that she is still a girl coming of age. She undergoes a major change in character from what she was in the first book, but I still adore her. She loses some of the cold appearance and gains more personality. Okay, I feel like I'm babbling, but the only reason that it didn't get a five was because of some of the elements that I thought weren't exactly believable (the animals) and some of its predictability.
