Cure watched Belle and Jonah as they prepared to fight. Sometimes the Head Master had a winning team, but other times he preferred to have one clear winner. How would Belle and Jonah feel if they had to fight each other? Oh well, at least she would be on hand to pick up the pieces.

Jonah turned his glare from the other teams to Belle. Something's up with her...trust no one. he told himself. He dropped his gaze and then looked questioningly for HM to start the matches. The team Jonah and Belle were facing walked to the center of the gym and openly challenged them. Jonah smiled wickedly and walked to the center of the gym and stood a few feet in front of them. A few seconds later he was back in his huge, reptilian body waiting for HM to give the order to fight.

Cure watched the Head Master.

 

'Start the match already' she thought. She still wasn't sure if he could read minds or not, but she directed the thought at him anyway.

HM stepped to the center of the gym and announced "this will be a 2 on 2 on 2 on 2 match, once the final team has defeated the others it will become a 1 on 1 match, the winner will then fight... me"

"Huh?"

 

That took Cure by surprise. The Head Master had never entered the tournament before, unless things got really nasty and he needed to sort the students out.

 

'He must really want a good look at the new guys' she thought 'Poor buggers'.

HM made Cure walk out of the gym and he followed he said to her "i may not read thoughts but i know what your thinking, i am doing this to teach Jonah or Belle that they dont run this school, and they arent the best and to teach them some respect, i know they will win"

Cure turned to the Head Master.

 

"Just go easy on them okay? I have a weird feelng about those two. And next time, please just ask to talk to me outside. You don't need to keep treating me like a first year."

 

The Head Masters mind control always left her with a funny feeling. Her regenerative powers triggered at the Head Master's touch and tried to expel him as though he was an illness of a disease. It never worked though.

Belle's mouth popped open in an O of suprise. The HeadMaster. With either her of Jonah! This would be interesting...

Personality: A refugee from the lengthily-named and civil-war-ravaged Glorious People's Socialist Democratic Republic Of Hull, Stark is an extremely powerful superhuman. He started out trying to use his powers to aid the democratic cause in his country but was soon betrayed by his former colleagues, eager for a scapegoat after a botched operation left seven seemingly more valuable agents in the hands of government troops. Jonah smiled at Belle with a wicked grin at the sound of HM's news. Then he glared at the other teams, he didn't bother saying anything to Belle or them. He would let his actions be his words. In his reptilian form, he waited for the command to start that would come any minute. This is my chance to better than you...he thought to himself. Whoever the 'you' was, only Jonah would ever know.

Cure walked back inside the gym and looked round. She went to the edge of the area and looked at the students getting ready to fight.

 

"Okay guys" she called over to them "On the count of three, begin."

 

"One"

 

"Two"

 

"THREE!"

((OK, sorry about that. I'll edit it forthwith. Rewrite below.))

 

Nox walked into the scene of what appeared to be a fight between two students and a man of some authority. Not seen him in the staffroom before, he thought. Perhaps he is an intruder. Oh well, may as well see how this pans out before killing the chap.

 

He slowly made his way to the side of a woman in a nurse's uniform, apparently the referee or somesuch and stood by her for a few minutes as he watched the ebb and flow of the battle's early stages. Finally, he asked her what on earth this was all in aid of.

As soon as the word 'three' came out of Cure's mouth Jonah lunged at a boy with a guttural hiss. He grabbed the bow, lifted him in the air, and flung him at his team mate before they could fight back. The boy landed on his team mate with a thud and both of them layed stuned on the ground. The other team decided to go after Belle, and Jonah didn't move to assist her. She can handle herself.. he thought and turned to attack the two boys again. Just as one stood up, Jonah lashed him with his tail and the boy was back down on the ground. This time his team mate flung bolts of energy at Jonah to help his team mate. Jonah doged two and took the third to his shoulder. Growling, Jonah slamed into the boy with his whole body and he the boy layed on the ground unconcious. Jonah recovored and glanced up to see a strange man standing next to Cure. A second later the remaining boy Jonah was fighting was on Jonah's back with a vine wraped around Jonah's neck. Jonah tore at the vine and growled trying to fling the boy off, but his efforts were usless. Gripping the vine, Jonah fell to one knee gasping for breath.

Cure turned to the man who had spoken. "This is the Head Master's way of seeing who the powerhouses are. He likes knowing what his students strengths and weakness are, so he can alter their lessons to suit."

 

She looked at the man, he was quite tall and too old to be a student.

 

"You're not the new combat teacher by any chance are you?"

"Indeed. My name is Nox, and I put myself at your service. Though that lad there may well need yours... I assume you possess a regenerative power of some sort, presumably extracorporeal."

"I'm Cure, the school nurse. I may well be assisting him later, but I can not interfere during the match. I can only do something if Jonah gives in or the Head Master stops the fight."
