This time he's solving the murder of a friend who met her end at the fangs of an extremely venomous snake. Review: 5/5 Evan is an amazing character. Bayne (Kept thinking it was Payne... help) Summary: Sullivan sees his manager/friend shot to death in front of him, and now her ghost wants justice. Review: 5/5 This series has kept me smiling the whole time. From Des and Sully's adorable brotherhood to their friend called "Bulldog," you can't go wrong with the Sullivan Grey series. Alright. Review: 5/5 The twists and turns! So interesting! Book Number: 50 Number of Pages: 236 Book Title: The Curse of Whitehall Manor Author: L.V. Pires Summary: Anne is getting her life together after the events of the last book, and in this one, she's pregnant and engaged! But things are strange. Again. Review: 5/5 Still kept me on my toes, and the ending is a lot. One left in this trilogy, and I'll probably read it soon enough. Book Number: 51 Number of Pages: 556 Book Title: Forgotten Magic Author: Jessica Dodge Summary: Helen Kent buys a small cottage in Scotland in the spur of the moment. While visiting the new home and deciding to fix it up, she figures out a few key things about herself... and her magic. Review: 5/5 Oh wow. The world that Dodge creates with witches and reincarnation is fantastic. The story is rich and inviting, so even though the actual writing of the novel isn't the best, it makes up for it in heart. Review: Masterful word pictures, fairly slow action, mostly in flashbacks from viewpoints of at least 6 different characters. The book is focused on U.S. immigration policies, but can be applied to any country. This was really well done and presented arguments pro-immigration I've never thought of. I highly recommend this book for a different perspective on the economic windfalls of an open borders immigration policy. Sutherland Summary: The first book in the Wings of Fire series focuses on the five dragonets mentioned in the prophecy foretold to bring about the end of the Dragon Wars. But having lived sheltered from the world for six years and getting their first taste of freedom, how are the dragonets supposed to survive? She's now back at the home that it happened, even if she's unsure about going. She's also unsure of her brother marrying the woman that he's engaged to, and she's even more unsure of what to do with the fact that her ex-boyfriend/fiance is there as well. Review: 5/5 I really really liked this novel. The little romance between Saige and Jasper is adorable, and the ghosts are spooky. Book Number: 54 Number of Pages: 262 Book Title: The Fall of Whitehall Manor Author: L.V. Pires Summary: Anne finds herself in a mental institution after the evens of the book before, and another couple is taking care of her child. She needs to find a way to save him from an evil spirit bent on keeping Whitehall Manor to himself. Review: 3.5/5 Okay. This one was okay? I guess. The first two in this series were actually fairly good, but this one... I dunno. It just wasn't as good. I'm honestly glad that it was short, since otherwise... I probably would have quit... Father Tim is the Episcopalian rector in charge of this small flock which seems to entirely consume his days. Of late, having just turned 60, he's been feeling a little lonely but that's all about to change as a large dog, a small boy, and an interesting neighbor appear on the scene. Review: Heart-warming and funny. I enjoyed the characters in this book. I read it years ago and liked it. Still do. It is the first in a series of Mitford books.
