Dragons you saw in the Wilderness

A quick question. Is there any way of knowing exactly how many dragons are in the wilderness?

 

I sometimes go F5 that page just to see what's out there and it appears there are lots and lots.

It definitely seems like there are a ton, but as I discovered from refreshing the page for hours to fill out my encyclopedia, most of the time you see a lot of the same dragons thrown in with different groups. I noticed it when I would go to refresh my encyclopedia page, thinking, "Okay, that was ten Whiptails. I should have the next bit of information unlocked!" only to find that only three of those ten clicks had counted. That's when I started paying more attention and I saw the same lineages, progenies, and codes. *sigh* So, no matter what you'll so you'll never reach the "end" of the wilderness because there isn't one. You'll just cycle back through the same dragons.

Exploring the Wilderness you can find a lot of interesting dragons and chickens: all unbreedables, CB Metals, CB Holidays, low-gen Prizes ( http://dragcave.net/lineage/qsBx9, http://dragcave.net/lineage/9kkj2, http://dragcave.net/lineage/Fx168 ), Alts...etc.

But for me, the biggest surprise was to meet there Guardian of Nature

While browsing the wilderness today, I saw this Holly Dragon. The lineage might be a bit long but it was neat and consistent and the dragon gendered correctly. I wouldn't mind this dragon on my scroll, especially since my only Holly Dragon looks like this.

You cannot release a leetle, you can only kill it. Killed dragons do not go into wilderness.

 

A lot of cb metals, holidays, mega rares and the like are burnt scrolls.

Found this awesome 2g alt black in wilderness today, it's parent is cb alt black thuwed. I wonder who owned this, it seems in all the years only one offspring for this cb alt turned into alt and that too is in wilderness.

4 out of 7 prize dragon's lineage found on Wilderness were stairstep. 3 of them are even not failed breed. (I mean, they gendered right to continue that lineage.)

I know it'd never happen because it goes against the whole point of the wilderness and would be too controversial, but seeing things like this make me wish we could have a one-day-per-year event where you could adopt wild dragons.

I think the most heartbreaking thing I've seen out there was a CB Holly.

 

Then I realized that emotionally I couldn't deal with that and stopped looking.

 

I can understand the reasons behind releasing dragons, and I've even released a few myself, but I still find it a little upsetting when I see something amazing out there. Burnt scrolls being released would make me feel a lot better lol.
