It's actually a wee bit on the cool side here today, not enough that I expect it will last any length of time, though.

 

We've had 7 ( ) murders on this island in the past 48 hours.

And I'm glad the Holocaust talk went so well; I think sometimes we under-estimate how much sway WWII actually have over people, and maybe in the light of current events such a reminder is important? While I hate to invoke Godwin's law there are some fairly decent comparison's between America 2017 and Germany 1933 at the moment...

So Lover and I had a party over the weekend; her grandparents were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and I was rocking out my new suit - which, given I'm 12kg lighter than when I last saw her family and even Lover is starting to notice how much I've lost, I did actually feel like I looked good that night.

 

Sadly I also had a lot of wine and gained another 800g from the weekend

The parallels are very scary, indeed. And in this country, a bill has just been presented (not passed as yet) allowing the government to tap into people's phones and open their mail and read their emails without any kind of warrant whatsoever.

 

Ooh, and if you have a chance, re-watch Doctor Who: The Sound of Drums. It's also scary in today's contexts.
