"Let my people do the investigation. The Darks, although distant, are out blood relatives whether we like it or not. They might not take kindly to us, but they despise humans even less when they interfere with they're ways. To avoid arousal and spook the person behind it to running, it's best if we are quiet about this investigation."

The King nodded, "Then I will trust you to make that a point to the Elvish council. If you feel your kind are better suited, I will trust your judgement. Is there anything else?"

Arwena looked at Jacus then back to the king, then repeated this before shaking her head. She felt like she had to ask for the king's approval of their relationship, but this wasn't the council, and from what she had heard, he was supportive of free love, so there wasn't a need. She simply bowed and said, "I will send a letter to my council relaying this news, as soon as i can Your Majesty."

The king clapped his hands together, "Wonderful! I am happy to hear that. Your three are dismissed for now. Jacus I want to have a word with you. Sir Tyrus, you can escort Miss Wood out." Tyrus nodded and got up. Jacus walked over to Arwena and took her hand. He than let go and went to the king.

Arwena squeezed his hand back before bowing and leaving with his dad. She fittled with her tunic once they where our of the room. "Are Jacus and i really that obvious? If we are.... I wonder how my parents didn't pick up on it, like you guys did... they are married longer then you have been.... they probably have... just haven't told us they know yet...."

Tyrus smiled, "It helps that Jacus is more open about it. I'm guessing he never did anything like that when he was in the Forest."

"No, he even turned his cloak inside out to hide the words I put there. But, my dad is good at finding things out... I'm sure he suspects something just .... I don't know... I want my parents to approve of him like you did of me. I believe they would, my dad.... would be all over him. He always wanted a son and Jacus would be the closest thing he has to one. My mom seemed to like him... I don't know though..."

"Just have faith my dear... all the pieces will fold together in a way that suits everyone. If it doesn't... maybe it's time you cut the pieces to fit the shape you want." Tyrus stopped at the stables. "Jacus will meet you here. I have some business I must attend to. Until later."

Arwena said goodbye and went inside. Knowing Kayden and Drago where alright, she asked the horses for the kings horse. She wanted to talk to this horse called Life, to see if the story was true. Surely the horse would also know how the king was like. She wanted to know if he was just as fair with animals then he is humans. She also wanted to have some time to think over his words.

One of the horses nodded and pointed her head to a far horse stall with a marble frame. In side was Life and a female horse that was his mate. They were eating.

Arwena thanked the horse kindly and went over to the two horses. Clearing her throat she addresses them. "Pardon me to interrupt your meal, I just would like to speak to you. I have heard a story about you, surely you can enlighten a druid on the details of such... and I would like to ask you a few questions about the king... then I would leave you and your lovely mare alone to your lunch..."

Life looked up at her with crystal eyes. "Well this is certainly interesting. I heard that there was a druid from the horses here, but never thought you would come asking questions... well ask away."

"First, I would like to ask you of you really did cross the dessert.... and second, I would like to ask.. if the king is as fair with all animals as he is with his people? Kings of old had taken to bear trapping and a sport where they chin up a animal that's wild, starve their hunting dogs and let them loose on the animal. I don't think he'll be that cruel, but as you know, druids have respect for all animal life... I don't want to be apart of a kingdom who didn't respect it the same way I do."

Life snorted in a laugh, "Yes... we did cross the dessert alone... but we did take a break when we met a merchant caravan. As for the king... he does hunt, but mostly wild boar. The dogs here aren't starved, just well trained... and as for being fair, well I'm in this very nice stall and the others are in not AS nice stalls."

"Well it would make sense considering you are the king's horse. Boar can be used for the table.... thank you for answering my questions. One more thing, could I give you and your mate a blessing of the elves?"

Life looked to his mate and she nodded, she also moved her body to show Arwena their sleeping daughter.

She smiled. "I will bless her as well.." She started with Life, saying in elvish and blessing him a long healthy life, his strength and endurance never fade and his courage never falters. Moving to his mate, she asked her name before blessing her, her stride be graceful, and her head be held high. Her stamina be steadfast and her foal barring fruitful. She asked the daughters name, then knelt setting a light hand on her head whispering her blessing. She was to grow healthy, strong and swift like her father, graceful and gentle like her mother. That she may never get sick, and her bones strong and hard to break.

When she was finished she stepped out of the stall and bowed to them thanking them once more for their hospitality and patience before turning and started walking out,.... then Kayden reached out and nipped her making her giggle.

"Silly boy, I haven't forgotten you. What elf could forget the great offspring of the mighty Thunder of the Mountain...... not even a Dragon can scare you... yes I know those things were unnatural, any one would be afraid of those things..."

Kayden snorted. "Indeed."

By that time, Jacus came to the stable, "Alright then. Now that is settled, let us go to the market." He patted Drago's head, "As much as want you along, the common folk might panic at seeing you. I know that you need to be close to Arwena, but this stable is closer than the house."

Drago snorted. "I'm fine here... go on.. go explore."

Arwena nodded and went to the entrance of the stable. "Um.... what did the king say to you? Or... am I allowed to know?" She held his hand as they walked, more common folk gave her odd looks as they approached the market, she had brought her bag of gold and silver, and carried her staff in her free hand.

Jacus smiled, "Nothing for you to worry about. What you should worry about is getting something nice for Drago. I feel bad for him... that and I don't have any money."

Arwena laughed. "Get what? A caller? I don't think they make them that big, and he'd hate it anyway. I mainly want to get a violin. You can pick our something for yourself and for Drago if you would like." She looked around the market as they got into it, she stopped and looked at a necklace behind the glass. The necklace was silver with a smaller opal in it, no wonder it caught her eye. She shook her head out of its "shinny" daze and continued on walking.

"Oh, I think I'll find something he might like... besides food of course." He laughed and kept his eyes open. There was a merchant arguing with some guards about selling ivory.

She heard the argument, but stayed away from it,not wanting to be by the ivory, not after meeting Ellie at Unity, and one tusk looked like a elephants. Instead she looked around for a musical instruments stand. "Well, he likes balls, he said something about a war helmet, like the kind they put on horses... medal claws for effective fighting. He said it would make him look more intimidating then he already is..... Silly dog."

Jacus was about to laugh but thought for a moment, "...Actually... that's not that silly..." He stopped walking and thought, "I have a friend in the smithing district who might be willing to put those ideas to life."

Arwena smiled and nodded. "Lead the way, I can look for violins while we walk." She continued to look around. She hasn't seen anything so far. "Did you see anything you wanted?"
