(In all the hunger games rp and spin offs, there has been at least one NPC out live a controlled char. Maybe its just natural like that?)

Ellis planned a raid on the cornucopia. He needed wires, and rope for more effective traps. Two careers down, 3 to go. Or was it 4? He was uncertain about the male from 12. If he could just get the district 8 Tributes to chase him to it, then the careers would be killing them while he got the supplies. Then his traps would pick them off one, by one. As if on cue, he saw two tributes walking around the lake. The District 8 Tributes, both armed deadly. The female had a battle ax, with 2 throwing axes on her belt. The male had a spear, and a short sword. They were hunting tributes, like a mini career pack. Who knew tributes from an industrial city district could live so long in wild conditions, get a score of 8, then be prepared for the worst?

(Personally for me, i try not to interact with other people in most roleplays becuase they rather leave or get really confusing. KingCobra is one of the few that haven't so far. Maybe that's why i haven't fought anyone yet, i try and avoid characters from an old habit i have.)

Pixelle

Once she reached the village, Pixelle stepped very lightly and carefully, not taking a step unless she had checked the ground very carefully, as well as nearby walls for anything that looked like a motion sensor. At one point she almost broke a tripwire, but at the last second she saw it glittering in the starlight. Eventually she decided that she had found a house that didn't look special, and wouldn't be the first house to check if someone was looking for her. Carefully, she peered through the windows for any strings attached to to doorknob. Nothing. Slowly, she turned the doorknob. No explosions, no horrible packs of mutts being released. She opened the door a crack, then opened it wider until she would be able to slip through. Breathing a sigh a relief, she stepped through the door.

An arrow whizzed by her neck and buried itself in the wall, missing her by half an inch. She quickly stepped back, her heart pounding. Looking down, she could see that there was a nearly invisible pressure plate by the door that she had stepped on. To the side, hidden so that you couldn't see it from the windows, was a crossbow. The crossbow should be harmless now, but to check, Pixelle dropped a rock onto the pressure plate. To be safe, she threw some more rocks into the house, but didn't trigger anything else. Once she got inside, she pulled the arrow out of the wall and reloaded the crossbow. It was very light, and the string was easy to pull, but it was stuck to the wall, so it couldn't be stolen and used as a weapon.

Once that was done, Pixelle looked around the tiny room. There was a gas stove, a few kitchen knives, a frying pan, some cupboards, and a bed. Inside the cupboards were some apples, some crackers, two boxes of pasta, a big bag of flour, and some baking soda. Pixelle didn't trust the bed; it was probably filled with explosives, and if she put the bag of flour on it to test it the trap could kill her anyway. Instead, she put the knives, crackers, pasta, and apples into her backpack, mixed some flour, some water, and a bit of baking soda in the frying pan, and lit the stove with a match. She cooked the mixture and extinguished the stove. It sort of made bread, but had too much baking soda, too much flour, and no salt. Barely managing to choke the bread down, Pixelle took the blankets off of the bed and tried to fall asleep on the floor.

It took hours for her to fall asleep. The D6 girl and the D3 boy kept dying, and when the three cannons went off her brain kept making new ideas for how the tributes could have died. Drowning, throat slitting, Track Jackers, falling from a cliff, bleeding to death... the list went on and on. When she finally did fall asleep, she died dozens of times in her dreams.

Glitter

"If our District 4 Allies come back, then they have succeeded. If we here two cannons, then they failed."

Glitter was again worried about Buck's careless disregard for the lives of his alliance members. Not because she didn't want any of the not-people to die; she wanted them all to die. Not-people had to die so that she could live. (That was why they had to be not-people, because real-people shouldn't have to die.) But more allies meant more protection from other tributes, and the D1 male was already as good as dead. He still hadn't woken up.

A few minutes latter, she heard screams of terror, then the cannons. Boom! Boom! She tried not to imagine what had happened to her allies, because it didn't matter. Not-people's pain didn't matter.

Once Buck came back from killing the D2 male, Glitter grabbed her bow and sat on a crate at the edge of the Cornucopia. "Really, there might as well only be three of us," she said, pointing to the unconscious tribute. "He'll be to injured to help, if he ever wakes up. Anyway, we should get some sleep. I'll take first watch." She started to carefully spit on and stick her arrows into the dirt before putting them back into her quiver. If they didn't kill anyone, they would definitely cause some nasty infection.

((Sorry for the short-ish Glitter post, I had to hurry. And about how far are the river, the village, the mountain, and the forest from the Cornucopia?))

((From what I've been saying, the river is about 100m from the circle around the cornucopia, and the river is about 20m wide... Just from what I've been saying.

((Imma tell you guys what traps Andrew sets up, and I'm hoping that you guys don't mix player knowledge with character knowledge, and I'll be able to tell if you are, for e.g.

Andrew set up an invisible trap where no one could see

Thomas walks a wide circle around the trap for no apparent reason

I can understand if you can think of an error within the trap, which I'll probably leave... probably, but as long as you can justify it and show that your character would look for these things.))

Andrew, thinking of the alternatives to staying in the forest, decided it was best to remain where he was, he could easily set up traps and scale trees, the alternatives being stumbling through a forest, navigating a trapped village that would probably kill him or trying his chances with a bunch of people who prepared most of their lives to win these games. It became quite obvious when he thought about it that way, he turned around and headed towards his fire again, he noticed that the body of the District 4 female was gone and the only remains where a bloody spike and a pool of blood on the jungle floor, he shuddered to the image of the girl choking on her own blood, he shook it off, he took the vine that the female had foolishly cut and took off the vegetable coat, he untwined the fibres of the vine and walked slowly to the fire, fiddling with the fibres.

He managed to twist the strands into a sort of string, it was partially elastic and when doubled upon each other became more elastic, he wrapped it around a stick and held it over his fire, attempting to evaporate the moisture from it, once it was all gone, he un-coiled it and created a makeshift bow from a notched bent stick and this thread, he was able to "shoot" rocks a short distance, he used the vegetable matter from the vine to make a paste with some of the water that had pooled nearby, he pasted the ends of the bow to the sides of two trees, keeping it in a semi-permanent ark. He sharpened a short length of wire and armed the bow, he used another thread of string to pull back the bow to its maximum tension, he tied of the rope around a tree and next to where he was sitting, he continued to eat from the feast of boar before him.

-----------------

Christian sighed as Glitter told him to sleep, he did not wish to sleep, nor did he trust his "comrades" enough to become at his most defenceless point in front of them, he slowly and hesitantly walked over to the cornucopia, before entering, he looked around for any hazards, the D9 tribute had gone back into the forest and the two D4 tributes were dead, that only left a few people, his instincts told him something was in the forest, but he couldn't see anything and put it to the back of his mind, he looked towards the lake and saw the glint of metal just as he was looking away. He jerked and stumbled to his feet,

"Guys!" Christian panicked, "I think we have trouble!"

Ellis followed them both keeping distance, then the District 8 Tributes came. The Male threw his spear, and it whizzed by the District 6 Male's head. Then The 8 Male drew a short sword. The 8 Female threw one of her throwing axes, whizzing by Glitter's head, but hitting the unconscious district 1 Male. BOOM! When buck ran out and engaged the District 8 Male in a sword fight, Ellis sneaked around the cornucopia. Waiting for them to run out so he could grab the satchel full of strings, wires, and other trap tools.

Glitter

"Crap," Glitter murmured, already drawing back her bowstring. She ducked, and a throwing ax flew above her head and buried itself into her district partner's head. Boom! Him dying didn't really matter, although it would have been funny if everyone else killed each other, and the Victor was in a coma. Glitter released the arrow, and it hit the D8 girl below her ribcage, probably puncturing her intestines. Unfortunately, the girl seemed to be smart enough not to pull the arrow out. By then, the girl had gotten close enough to take out her battle ax. She chopped downwards with it angrily, and Glitter tried to leap to the side to avoid it. She wasn't quite quick enough, though, and the ax sliced a deep gash into her shoulder. Quickly, Glitter pulled out a knife with her left hand, and stabbed the D8 girl in the eye. Blood splattered everywhere, and the girl screamed in pain, dropped her ax and tried to flee, her hands trying to stem the flow of blood from her eye. Panting, Glitter put the knife back into her belt and nocked another arrow, ignoring the girl. She would have to try to stop her shoulder from bleeding soon, but there were more important problems, namely the fact that the D8 boy was still a threat. She didn't dare shoot the arrow yet, though; Buck was too close, and she didn't want to hit him. Aside from the obvious problem of loosing yet another ally, Christian might think that she had done it on purpose, and she really didn't want to get into a fight with him.

Buck dueled. The District 8 Male gave a worried glance to his district partner and then Buck brutally stabbed him. The 8 Male tried to run, but Buck speared his calf, tripping him. He ran dragging his District partner along with him, when Buck saw the District 7 Male rush into the cornucopia, grabbing a purple bag. He then started to run away. "THAT ONE IS GETTING AWAY!" he said pointing at another potential threat.

((You do realise that Christian had emptied all of the bags right?))

Christian sighed at the attempted theft of the district 7 Male, because Christian had been on his knees when they began to attack, he was late to run into the fight, Buck seemed able to repel the D8 male and Glitter had already dealt with the D8 female, he looked back to the male who was running with an empty bag, he had actually filled a few bags with some stones in the hopes that people would actually try to steal them. He chuckled and waved to the rest of the party,

"Leave him, we need to take care of Glitter here," he informed, as he got closer to the party, he bore a large grin "the bag is full of stones anyways."

He ran into the cornucopia and grabbed a bottle of water, ripping his sleeve, he dampened the fabric in water and began cleaning Glitter's shoulder, he then lifted her arm and tied the non-bloody fabric around he wound, ensuring to not put on too much pressure, this was the only time during the entire games that Christian actually seemed sincere.

Ellis wondered why the careers didn't chase him. Then he dropped his bag, spilling out, useless stones. The most common item in the arena. He did, however have another bag to carry stuff in. He watched the District 8 tributes get away, heading back towards the lake. Infection would most likely get to them, unless sponsors or if they survived long enough till the feast. During training, they were told of a feast for important items. If he could live till then, then he could get importance. Like trap materials. He stalked the weakened District 8 Tributes, as they laid down on the beach. The Male seemed to be weeping over his severely injured district partner. She had suffered an arrow, and a stab in the eye. Then he realized why they where so prepared. They had been to the trapped village. He watched as the male made a makeshift eye patch of a leave and some string, then washing out the arrow wound. He then tended to his own wounds, a nasty stab in the side and a spear wound in the calf. They both fell asleep. He sneaked over, taking some string, then walking off. Time to make more traps before nightfall.

Buck had gotten lucky, and had blocked the strikes the 8 Male threw. But he was weaker. He imagined the odds board. His name probably struck with odds 4-1. The 8 Tributes were weakened, so now only two threats remained in the arena. The District 9 Male, and the District 7 Male. "Get some rest when your done. We have to outsmart two trap makers in the morning. Assuming we sleep that long." he said. It was only midday. On the second day. 3 Careers left, vs 8 Tributes. He looked over at the dead District 1 Male, with a throwing ax sticking out of his neck. If he could die that easy, then so could the rest.

(Only 2 NPCs. Controlled char killing is soon to start... mwahahaha.)

Glitter

Glitter released the arrow towards the District 7 male, but missed because of her shoulder. Looking over to it, she felt a bit sick. It wasn't as deep as it had first felt- at least she thought it wasn't- but it was hard to tell because of all of the blood. She sat down in the mud, feeling light headed from blood loss. That would be embarrassing. Dieing of blood loss because of a District 8 girl? At least the D8 girl would be dead soon. Gut wounds caused nasty infections. Glitter chuckled a bit. Well, that wasn't dark at all, was it? Laughing at other people's misfortune. It didn't matter, though. Nothing mattered in that stupid arena but getting out. The misfortune of the not-people was a useless distraction.

"Thanks," Glitter mumbled, noticing that Christian was helping her. Frowning a bit, she added "Tighter," and used her free hand to press the cloth onto her shoulder, wincing as the pain in her shoulder increased. That's what they said in training about bleeding, right? Put pressure on the wound to help stop the bleeding. Stopping the bleeding would be great. She was already delirious enough, although she didn't know how much of that was because of pain and how much was because of blood loss. Preferably, most of it was from pain.

Ellis got to work. He tied a rope to a branch easy to break by a running person. The string connected to a large spikey branch which would crush them against the oak next to it. Then he made another dig trap near it. Planting wood spikes in and covering it with leaves. He had a little shelter set up, traps surrounding it. He then made a wood pile, using the rocks he got from the bag to spark a fire, to alert the careers, sending them to the trapped area. He smiled. Then hid at a vantage point.

(Oh, and the fire he started is in the small forest by the streams too the west.

Andrew finished his meal, he could barely eat anymore and the rest of the boar he simply threw on the fire, he had many other snares, but he felt no need to check them, he was simply too full to want any food in the future, and that was with his expanded stomach capacity due to feasting during training. He looked to his makeshift dart trap, it seemed a little... simple. He then took out his wire and made multiple darts, multiple bows, multiple threads and attached a dart to every tree in the clearing, he put leaves in front of each bow to disguise them and ensured the leaves would not block the flight of the arrow.

He looked around, if he were not specifically looking for darts, the only thing that he could realise that the footprints in the mud seemed to focus around every tree, he left it as a distractor and checked his supplies. Should he need anymore food he had apples, should he need to make another trap he had a small amount of wire and rope. His dagger glinted in the moonlight as he stood in the middle of the clearing, all of the threads met at this point in a ring around a stick bent into a circle, the threads joined and made a web in the centre of the ring. He laughed aloud and spun in a circle,

"Try get me now!"

----------------

Christian, now knowing how tired he was to this point, yawned and walked to the cornucopia, he looked to the dead tribute in his sleeping bag,

"Damnit, that blood isn't going to wash out."

He kicked the body outside of the cornucopia and the hovercraft almost instantly came and took the body away, he got a second sleeping bag from the pile of supplies and got inside it.

"I took watch before... so..." he informed sarcastically as he rolled over, satisfied with his information.

"I'll do it. In case them District 8 Tributes come. But we put them out for the rest of the games." Buck mentioned. The midday sun was then blocked out and rain resumed. But this time, lightning started, and so did thunder. "Great, now the lightning is going to hit this metal cornucopia." he muttered.

Mel almost forgot abotu the plan she had thought of. She opned the pack of nuts and ate an handful, realizing she hadn't eaten today aside from before she entered the arena. She poured the rest of the nuts within her packpack and climbed down the tree. There where bushes all around her with lush green leaves.

She looked up to she sky seeing smoke plumes rising into the air. Mel couldn't help but shake her head, who was stupid enough to light a fire?

She took the bag that the nuts came in and sealed it around some leaves that where attatched to a bush. Mel didn't know plants well but she knew a coupel and this one was safe. She only hoped her plan would work. Water would be very hard for her to get, but for two people it was nearly impossible. If it came down to it Mel could take it an run. She half-planned on it too, but only if she felt she needed too.

(Twas the first night of the hunger games!)

Ellis awoke. Nighttime. No dead tributes in his traps. He just gazed at the stars, waiting. For the faces in the sky. When they soon appeared. First the 3 male, which he had slaughtered. Then the 11 Male. Minus one threat. Then the 4 Female, followed by the 4 Male. Two careers down. Then the District 2 Male, who's name he had forgotten. Then ending with the District 1 Male. "Three careers... The 6 Male, 12 Male, and 1 Female..." he muttered.

Buck watch had ended as he saw the faces in the sky. "Wake up you two, the dead are showing up." he said.

"That's going to lure something," he remarked

he looked back to Glitter and shook his head, indicating he was going to take the next watch, he put his hand on Buck's shoulder and ushered him inside.

Glitter

"Mwha?" Glitter said sleepily, before becoming fully awake. Stupid, stupid, stupid! She should have been awake as soon as Buck started talking. Dying in her sleep because she was betrayed and didn't wake up fast enough would be pathetic. The blood loss was a problem, but at least she had stopped bleeding awhile ago. Hopefully it would get infected, either; that would be really embarrassing.

Crawling out of the Cornucopia, Glitter looked up at the sky. D3 male- no electric traps from him. D11 male, both D4 tributes, D1 male, and D2 male- that wasn't news. Okay, so the D8's didn't die of blood loss, but that was obvious, because there were no cannons. Fine. Now the only real threats were the D9 male and the D7 male, blah blah blah, they'd gone over all of that.

"That's going to lure something."

She hadn't thought of that. But if the Gamemakers wanted to send mutts after them, they could send mutts after them. And if they didn't, they wouldn't. Crawling back inside, she fell back asleep, vowing to be smarter and more alert when she woke up.

Pixelle

Finally, Pixelle woke up from her nightmares. She shivered in the darkness, breathing heavily and trying to calm down. They had seemed so real, and the darkness of the room, with creepy shadows being cast by the curtains, didn't help. After five minutes of trying to forget her nightmares, she shakily stood up. Okay. Don't touch the bed or the pressure plate by the door. Everything else should be fine. After putting some water from her water bottle- she'd need to get more soon- and a box of pasta into a pot, she turned on the gas and lit it with a match. Once the pasta was done, she ate it. It was obviously bad quality, and stale, but she was hungry enough that it didn't matter. She left the pot of water on the stove to cool, and sat down on her blanket to think.

There was no reason to leave the village. Sure, there were definitely too many traps to count. Yes, it was very likely that mutts would be released. But the D7 male at least set traps in the forest, and there could be mutts there, too. In the village there was shelter, food, and if another tribute tried to attack her, the traps might stop them. She could even learn where the traps were, set up a few more, and plan a route so that if someone was chasing her, she could run at full speed and avoid or leap over the trip wires a pressure plates. And she was good at running.

Carefully, Pixelle stepped over the crossbow trap and opened the door. Very slowly, watching everywhere she put her feet, she started to map the traps on the street she was on. Tripwire, tripwire, more tripwire under that window, pressure plate near that door, etc. She even looked through the windows of the houses to see if she could see any traps. On a couple she could see wires attached to the doors- probably rigged to explosives that would be set off when the door was opened.

((Anyone want to poke around the village? Pixelle's kind of lonely.))

((Yes on the auto kill. And backup, my character can go over. @Cobra, if you come back, Mel and Mia are still allies, Mel just went off for a bit; because Mel’s a person and people do stupid things like leave their teammates for a short amount of time xd.png.)

Mel woke up feeling foggy. Mia was still asleep and breathing quietly. Mel climbed down from the tree, throwing her pack on the ground to test for hidden traps before touching the ground.

She grabbed the bag she had tied into the bush the night before and untied it. Some water rested inside. It was no more than a couple teaspoons but every drop counted. She took a small sip from the bag before putting it back in the pack. Mel knew quite well that staying in the same place for too long was much too dangerous and other supplies where hidden within the area. Mel turned back to Mia and promised she would be back soon. Picking up the pack of her supplies she swiftly left the area heading towards the village. She knew that there where traps, she just didn’t know what kind or how many.

((I’ll leave it there for now. If you want to find Mel or hide, I purposely left it here so you could decide what to do, backup. ))

Pixelle

While walking along the street, staring at the ground and occasionally looking a the walls of the buildings, Pixelle froze. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw movement. Movement was always bad in the Hunger Games, unless you were hunting something... or someone. And Pixelle was definitely trying to hide from hunters. Turning very, very slowly, every on of her instincts telling her to flee but her brain telling her that if she ran then whatever moved would definitely see her, Pixelle looked at where she saw the movement. To her right, there was a side street, and at the end of that street was the D2 girl. Pixelle could barely breathe from fear, and she could hear the beating of her heart. Thump thump thumpthumpthumpthumpthumpthump Badbadbadbad. Would the girl see her? Almost definitely. And then she would kill Pixelle, kill her horribly and slowly, because that's what people were supposed to do in the Hunger Games, because it was entertaining. Putting on a show for the Capitol, and she was going to die for it.

((Yeppers! Also, sorry this post is so long and full of rambling.))

The backpack on Mel’s back thumped up and down from Mel’s job along the village outskirts. She was looking for a way in. Sure, any angle was assessable, but not all were safe. The sword Mel had strapped to her back heavily weighed down on the girl and her small frame making Mel cautions of any sound, movement, or even smell. If she got into trouble now the weapon wouldn’t be of much use, and her agility and speed would surely be cut in half due to the weight. So why did she keep it? Well, she didn’t want it falling into the hands of someone who knew how to use it. That’s how it worked. You kept items useless to you because others could make good weapons of what you can’t. You aren’t just trying to find the best resources for you but trying to keep others from obtaining it.

Mel heard something to her left, it sounded soft and barely noticeable. Mel quickly identified the sound as a footstep. It wasn’t hers, the rhythm didn’t match. She quickly turned around and unsheathed her sword. Maybe she could use it somehow. Whoever ti was sounded to close to run away from. She could drop and sword and maybe make it but if this person had a bow she was done for. Why prolong her death if she knew it was coming.

She saw a girl with grey eyes and shoulder length chestnut hair. She was rather pale and a little bit on the short side. From the look in her eyes, her first instinct would be to run.

But looks are so easy to make while real feelings of murder can roam underneath screaming to be released. Mel glared at the girl and held out her sword, once again trying to act like she knew how to use it. She growled lowly. “Well? What are you waiting for? Are you going to attack or what?

Mel spotted a tripwire between the two. If she was lucky the girl would attack, and trip on the wire. Mel couldn’t; help but wonder what it was attacked to. Explosives? Arrows? How about a trap door that would make you fall into a pit of poisonous insects and scorpions? Wouldn’t the game makers just love for that to happen?

Mel turned her focus back to the girl. She really did look scared. Mel’s face softened a little letting her guard down. This girl reminded her of herself; just slightly.

Mel lowered her sword. “You’re the district three girl, aren’t you?”

Mel remembered seeing the district three’s face broadcast across the sky. She knew he was killed by an axe but she didn’t know by who. Did this girl have any attachment to him? Must be hard, losing your district partner if you had any attachment to them. Of course, Mel’s was dead too but she didn’t know him very well. She saw him around the district once or twice and around the time they were in the capitol but besides that he was nothing to her.

“Your district partner is dead isn’t he? You didn’t have any attachment to him did you?”

Mel stepped away. This girl could attack her any minute but her face was so sad. No one could fake that. Could they?

Mel started to become upset with herself, she was over thinking again and she was making stupid assumptions. Lack of food was disorienting and lack of water was even worse. She didn’t drink enough.

Ellis waited, hearing someone trip and scream, then hearing a sickening crushing noise. BOOM! Hopefully a career rushing to the fire. What he saw surprised him. The District 10 Male. Good riddance, as the boy was almost as beefy as the 6 male. He looked in the sky, seeing the boy's face appear. Gamemakers must have seen it coming, doing it minutes after the fallen.

Buck heard a cannon. Someone else perished. Then lightning struck a tree on the mountain. This storm was getting worse. Wind had noticeably picked up and the fire someone lit was already put out by rain. It was raining like a torrent, glad he wasn't outside.
