((Given Sandor's age, shouldn't he be aware that Summoners, well, summon? They are a big part of the world of Wyhdori after all.))

((Yes but I'm talking about general knowledge here. There would be plently of Summoners in Dnortih Mdyhl and Sandor must have noticed that they are not always accompanied by their Fiends. Plus Summoners and their history would be taught to children as part of why monsters are in the world.

I'd fully expect everyone past a certain age, Summoner or not, to know about the relationship between a Summoner's crystal and their Fiend.))

((So Sandor doesn't know any Summoners at all, even the ones that lived in Dnortih Mdyhl and constantly kept the town safe from monster attacks? I would have imagined they would have known them on sight. And wouldn't he have met or at least seen those that protected him when he moved to Tehgrimm Suda?

I'm not talking about history books or schools, I'm talking about general knowledge that gets passed around and taught to children.))

Diana nodded to him. "Then there probably isn't much you can do right now. Don't worry too much about it." She turned back to the group, grinning as the first girl.had her Fiend shoot lightning. "Well done!" she called across. There were others, who looked a bit nervous - but, no matter. The best way to learn was through doing and experimenting. Quite suddenly, there was a random boy asking her how to summon his Fiend. "Weren't you here earlier...? Hand over your chest. Then, you need to search for your word. it's inside you. You just need to find it. Hey... Did you just turn up now?" Her nose crinkled as she scrutinised him.

"well, I was, I was a little bit late because something went wrong, and no one seemed to notice when i showed up..." he said as one of the students fiends shot lighting, "... and i don't really know how i'm suppose to summon him."

Well, crud. U.T had no idea how to make Koishii do any kind of magic. As a farm boy, the most he ever used Koishii for was herding animals, there was never any crisis where the fiend stood between his life and his death. It always seemed that those with great powers such as these grew up in some harsh environments, oddly enough. He got back up from where he was sitting, naturally pushing the dog fiend off of his lap. He didn't know where to start, but Koishii was trained to respond to whistles and command words to save time in quick situations so maybe he should start there?

He let out a shrill whistle, and the small fiend bounded in from of him, her ears laid back and her brown fur fluffed as if responding to a threat that wasn't there. If she had been a normal dog it would have been impressive, but now he was in a world where his 'dog' was a fiend, a whole new playing ground entirely. "Uh..." Now what? "Use... er... sic 'em...?" She looked back at him, clearly confused now. "Like... something like what Tarlin did."

The dog fiend looked at Tarlin, the tree he attacked was still smoking. U.T couldn't be asking her to make a blast of energy like that, could he? She could probably mostly fit inside his mouth! How was she gonna do something like that? She looked at a tree nearby his... maybe if she did something cool-looking it would make something grandiose happen... Or at the very least make it look like she was trying.

She took a few steps back, and then charged forward. Thanks to her small and lithe size, she was able to get some serious speed in a short amount of time. The power just took over from there, and even U.T could feel a hard stability and the perseverance of their element. She leaped into the air and somersaulted around once before she went crashing down onto the ground. The ground shook from her paws onward like a molehill, until it reached Tarlin's smoking tree when a Terra-spike shot out of the ground and impaled the battered tree that had already taken Tarlin's assault. Guess it was just naturally becoming a training dummy now...

Nimlos's eyes widened in awe. Both of U.T.'s and Megahan's Fiends had managed to do magic - and it looked really awesome. Khelek swished his tail and watched with keen eyes, giving Nimlos a feeling he was analyzing something. She reached a hand to him and gave him a quick scratch behind the ears. He closed his eyes for a second, but then he turned around to look at Nimlos, his tail swishing eagerly. Nimlos knew already what he wanted and she took a deep breath.

"Okay, buddy, let's see what you've got!" she said. Khelek grinned before he turned around.

Khelek waited that Koishii had finished her attack and moved away from the tree. The tree was now severely damaged, but Nimlos thought it would be best to just do the damage on the same tree. Khelek stood still, save for the floating things around him, which moved slowly. Then he started running closer to the tree. Just about a few meters (a little more than few feet) he jumped. During the few seconds in the air, he opened his mouth. One icy shot came from his mouth, flying like an arrow into the tree. It hit the tree, but the ice shard didn't break. When Khelek came back to the ground, he stomped his right front paw to the ground, and the ice stared rapidly extend from the shard, soon covering the whole tree in ice.

"His element is ice." Nimlos said, jumping a little. "Great job, Khelek!" Khelek waved his tail happily, obviously pleased with the compliment.

Diana, hearing the usual noises of magic, turned to the other group. "Well done!" she yelled to them, before going back to the boy. "Hand over your chest like this." She placed her hand over her heart. "Then, you search inside yourself for your word. It's somewhere inside you. You would have used it the first time you summoned."

((Has everyone else in the group summoned and done magic?))

Sandor put his hand on his heart. Tried to think of a word or will himself to remember how he had summoned it before. He couldn't think. his mind went blank. He stood there thinking. He tried to remember his fiend. The word Rayanard poped into his head, but that was what he named it. He tried to think deeper. Then, suddenly, a word appeared. " A-alim" he said, fully noting that if it didn't work he would look like an idiot. he opened his eyes. A black horse with a midnight main appeared in front of him. It stud as tall as he did.

"Zephyr! Let's try something different." Warren spoke out as the wolf returned to his side, then both focused and started sharing thoughts. Just seconds later, they were already done, and with a nod from both, they started sprinting toward the monsters. Whilst Warren wasn't combat ready nor was he prepared, Zephyr would use a small trick to make him the spearhead of the attack. As soon as a pack of three monsters split off from the others toward them, Zephyr went right behind Warren and started preparing a special gust in his mouth cavity. As he was doing that, a thin layer of wind started appearing under Warren's boots, slightly making him faster and raising him off the ground.

"Now!" Warren yelled out, and Zephyr obliged, releasing the special gust of wind right into the back of his summoner as he ducked down and put his arms forward. Suddenly, he was blown forward with an incredible speed, the air cushion under him keeping him from contacting with the ground. The wind that was passing by his whole body formed into huge blades thanks to Zephyr, and Warren collided with the three monsters. The two that contacted his arms were literally cut through in half and then shredded by the remainder of the wind, while the one that was right in front of Warren contacted him and practically burst from the sheer force with which he attacked it. With the attack done, Warren simply jumped off and landed, slightly wobbly because of the hit with the monster and the sheer speed of the attack but still ready to fight.

Diana grinned as the boy summoned forth a black horse-like Fiend. It was similar to her own, although little taller. Rain trotted to her Summoner's side, nickering gently. Reaching forward with her muzzle, she bumped it gently against the black equine's nose in a friendly manner. "Good stuff. Now have a try at some magic - direct it toward a tree," she encouraged the boy.

Elise's green gaze was drawn away from the snow leopard's fighting, toward the boy who had caught hsr earlier. He was doing something interesting there... Her expression held mild interest as he let his attack burst forth, using his own body as a carrier of an elemental attack. When he was done, she decided it was an idea worthy of being complimented for. "That was smart," she called to him. Melodic voice carrying easily, she did not need to speak loudly.

Sandy thought of what to do. what if he dose something dangerous? sandy thought, he can't do anything that bad can he? he turned to face the tree. Rayanard, reading his mind, walked in front of him. Can you do something like the others? Sandor thought to him. Rayanard took several steps toward a tree. the suddenly Sandy suddenly felt light headed as the tree was being enshrouded in shadow. He looked at the tree. At first he didn't notice anything different, then one of the larger branches fell off and Sandor noticed it looked rotten on the inside, and the leaves had turned brownish. "what happened?" Sandy asked.

Meaghan was still beaming as she stood next to Tarlin, running her hand gently through his fur. She watched carefully as some of the others asked their own Fiends to perform just as she and her sabre-tooth did. She blinked in surprise at the variety of attacks. She probably shouldn't have been, but she also knew that attacks can vary even within an element from Fiend to Fiend. Meaghan found a fascination as she watched each of them.

She smiled up at Tarlin. "I think we've got a good group. Such a wide variety among them, we'll be able to take down anything with enough training." Tarlin didn't seem so sure. He huffed, as if to say "Don't get too overconfident." Meaghan nodded to Tarlin, petting his pelt in acknowledgement of his concern. She was already impressed by his intelligence.

((@ na82008: There needs to be some kind of warning that magic is about to take place (this applies to all magic users; Fiends, monsters and Abominations), so the magic must 'appear' in some form before the effects happen. Seth, my darkness Fiend in the previous RP, could breath poisonious smog, flash his eyes when he was trying to petrify something and suchlike. This allows other players a grace period to decide whether they want to get hit, dodge or guard.))

Helios watched the other students as they summoned their Fiends and encouraged them to perform magic. Some of them seemed at first confused about the elements of their respective Fiends, which in turn confused Helios. Didn't they know? Helios had known the moment he summoned Cerberus the day before what element he was, just as he had been sure the Fiend was his to begin with. Even now Cerberus' name had come to him the moment he had wondered about it.

Helios turned to look at Cerberus, who was still watching him carefully, long tail swishing across the grass. The trainee Summoner saw little point in trying to get him to perform any magic for the sake of it. He knew what he needed to know at the moment, so he would just wait and see what Diana would do next.

Whilst Zephyr continued blasting the monsters away with his powers, Warren was busy removing the jelly-like liquid from his clothing. It seemed attacks like these weren't really good for your clothing, as he was standing and removing it yet it took him a whole minute just to remove a small batch of it. It stuck like glue.

"Zephyr, help me out here." Warren called out and turned toward him, and the wolf nodded before blasting a powerful force of air directly at his body. It shook the whole grass apart as it passed through it, but strangely, the large blast instead shifted into a few strings and passed directly through his clothing and outward. The jello was practically blown off of his clothes and fell onto the earth, not even leaving a smell on top. Finished, the boy turned, hearing the voice of the girl from before whilst letting Zephyr turn and blast yet again at the monsters.

"Thanks." He spoke out, a small smile appearing on his face before he stopped and approached her.

"I know it isn't the proper time to exchange pleasantries, but I'm Warren. Nice to meet you," he said and extended his hand.

Rayanard came back to Sandor. So this is darkness magic, right? he thought. He looked at the horse, then patted it on the side of the head. He looked around. Almost everyone seemed like they had finished. He wonder what they would do next.

((I'm going to assume that everyone in Diana's group has managed alright by now.))

Seeing as everyone had gotten used to their Fiends, Diana decided it was time for them to join the other group. "Alright! Seeing as you lot have managed, I think you're ready to have a go at something more interesting than a tree. Follow me," she told them, promptly turning about and walking out of the arena. "And it would be a good idea to desummon on the way!" she called over her shoulder as she went out the door. She didn't want Helios' Fiend to freak out again.

~~~
Elise turned her head to face him once more. So. He was Warren. It wasn't the most usual of places to introduce oneself, but not too much would be usual for her anymore. Extending an elegant hand, she daintily shook his. For a moment, she noticed his skin was warm and slightly rough; and she sort of liked it. Character; so unlike the soft palms of pampered boys and old, rich men. "Elise. It is nice to meet you, too," she said politely, before taking her hand back to herself.
U.T didn't know how much of a cakewalk the magic was going to be, and was of course pleasantly surprised at what he and Koishii could do together. Though he had also gone to wondering if those powers over earth would allow him to grow plants all crazy-like. But they were going to move now and he wasn't going to get cocky if the beginner's group was playing at a beginner level for the first round. Maybe now, seeing that the group could use their powers, they were going to do something exponentially more difficult, like fighting monsters. His face grimmed a little bit at the prospect, he sure hoped not.
She told them it would be a good idea to de-summon. He hated de-summoning his fiend at any given point of the day, and he even wished that she didn't vanish at night. But the teacher knew best and he was only walking clueless in the dark behind her. So if Koishii had to be de-summoned, then he silently promised the fiend and himself it wouldn't be for long. With that, he swept his hand over his chest and called her back to him, absorbing the tiny lights that the hellhound-like creature dissipated into.Then he followed the teacher suit.
Nimlos was surprised at the variety of attacks each Fiend had. It would definitely make fighting monsters much more interesting. Khelek seemed to be eager to fight, but didn't show it in any other way but a feeling to her. When Diana told them to de-summon, a feeling of disappointment came from Khelek.
"Hey, don't worry. We'll probably summon you out soon enough." Nimlos said as she swiped her hand over her crystal. Khelek came back, and he seemed to have accepted his destiny in a martyr-kind of way. Nimlos laughed a little, before turning around and following Diana and U.T.
((Right everyone in Bastian's group finish up please.))
Bastian stepped over to the last large crate and waited patiently for his students to finish their battles. There were only a few left anyway. Areo in the mean time left the area by climbing up the wall in a lizard like way. Once he was at the top the took in his seat and looked down into training area two.
~~
Bella peeked from under Beldor’s wings trying to see what was going on but the fiend just force her back into hiding.
“You can’t keep me her the whole time.” she spoke half giving up. Beldor just growled and walked slowly eying everything that moved. Even a pecktus didn’t survive the fiends encounter only to be left in shreds and not to mention a bad taste in Bella’s mouth. None the less the fiend continued his slow walk towards Bastian.
Meaghan was still next to her Fiend, busy admiring him while the others had continued with their exercises. She was beginning to get attached to Tarlin, she wanted to know as much about him as she could. Sadly however, Diana told them to ask their Fiends to return to them, and Tarlin returned the equally disappointed look that Meaghan gave him.
Meaghan sighed and gave him a quick pat on his thick fur, silently promising him he would return to to the open. She placed her hand over her chest and Tarlin vanished in a twinkling of lights. Her long pigtails whipped around with her as she turned to follow Diana, wondering when she'd be able to see Tarlin again. She left the arena without a word, looking down at the ground between her walking feet.
When Diana announced they were moving onto a new area Helios' heart sank. Something more than a tree? Did she mean a monster? But he had no idea how to get Cerberus to attack yet, or even what would happen if he did. All they had done so far was show off their elements/ Where they all really ready to fight?
Anxious about what they were being lead to Helios started to follow after Diana, Cerberus standing up to follow him, but they both stopped in their tracks when Diana called over her shoulder to desummon.
Helios stared blankly after her. He had no idea how to do that. What if Cerberus didn't want to be desummoned? He turned to face his Fiend and stared at him. Where to start?
"Um. Go? Return? Err. Unsummon?"
Cerberus just stood there watching him, not taking any notice whatsoever.
"Shoo? Go back? Away? Go away?"
Not having any luck in desummoning his Fiend Helios looked around in him in desperation. What was he supposed to do?
The teacher told them to desummon, then walked to the doors. wha-but, i only just summoned him Sandor thought. "ok, well bye" he said to Rayanard. He walked to the doors, the realized there were hoof sounds behind him. why is he still here, can't he disappear on his own? he thought. He tried to remember how Rayanard was desummoned earlier, but didn't he just disappear? He didn't even tell him to go, one second he was riding him, the next he was flat on his face and late. Well, he was going to look like a fool anyway if he couldn't desummon his fiend, not to mention the fact he was very late, so why not just try something random? He might as well start as blandly and directly as possible. Sandy put his hand on his chest again and said "return Rayanard." Amazingly it worked. Trying to seam unexcited as though he knew this all along, he walked to the exit behind the other two students that had already desummoned.
(( I'm ending this fight, then. ))
Warren nodded in response to Elise as he shook her hand, noting how it felt quite soft - as a woman's hand should be - yet gave him the feeling of hardships, as if she had a tough childhood. Releasing her hand, Warren then silently smiled before turning around and walking over to Zephyr. It was time to end the attack.
"Okay, Zephyr, can you do this?" The young man said out loud before they both exchanged thoughts once again for a few seconds. After they were done, the windy figure of Zephyr nodded before coating Warren's hands in air. Warren then simply walked forward, as Zephyr killed off two of the monsters with an air slicer attack before turning toward his Summoner, who was busy walking toward three of the monsters.
As the three seemed to circle around him, preparing for an attack, Warren closed his eyes and focused. Nothing happened at first and the monsters immediately took that as a sign of weakness, lunging with their gelatinous mass toward the boy's legs. Then, just as they managed to engulf his legs, the wind around Warren's arms suddenly twisted and shifted, creating two fang-like forms under each hand. At that point, a powerful blast of air sent Warren into the air, with the three slimes still in one form under him, before he flipped in air in such a way that he'd stab the fangs right into the large mass of jelly. Then, with another blast, he was sent downward at an astonishing speed, slamming the wind fangs right into the monsters and shredding them inside-out whilst being safe thanks to an air cushion. With a sigh, the wind cushion and fangs disappeared, and Warren walked back toward the group.
"They're all dead, sir!" The young man called out to Bastian as he desummoned Zephyr.
