Helios gave a non-commital shrug when Diana mentioned that Ceil had been her teacher. It was something he had heard before.

"Imari told me" he said feeling miserable about his present situation.

When she asked if he had his Fiend under control Helios glanced in its direction and then gave another little shrug. He had no idea. How could you tell? It wasn't like he was used to doing this.

"I'm not sure. I don't know how."

Even though the large red dragon Fiend wa blocking them from sight Helios could still hear the mutterings of the other novice students. He heard one of the boys question the silver Fiends attack and knew now that the others would be wary of him. Would they think he had attacked on purpose? That he had meant them harm?

To further complicate matters Helios heard the voice of the school nurse, Artur. He was yelling, asking if anyone was hurt. While Helios still felt sore from feeling the echoes of his Fiend's injuries he would rather die than ask for help. It was all his own fault anyway.

Bella had stopped screaming but it didn’t stop her from running seeing that she was followed by three of the Pecktus monsters. Eventually she had reached the small forest hoping to find shelter between the bushes but she was wrong. Just as she took protection behind a tree all three of the monsters released a water attack spewing hot water out of their beaks.

Most of the attack hit the tree but some of the water had hit her arm causing her flesh to go red.

“Ouch.” she spoke gritting her teeth as she tried not to scream again. Grabbing her arm she retreated further into the forest. The Pecktus monsters followed none the less knowing their prey was on the run which meant she was weak.

Bastian tried his best to pay attention to his group but seeing the son of Ceil cause him to loose a bit of focus. Finally when he had made peace on what was happening he saw the one weird girl running in to the forest. Bastian could only sigh.

“Clearly she’s not in the right group.” Bastian spoke still leaning against the wall while his students fought.

“Girl in the forest! Your fiend!” He finally shouted.

Diana glanced toward his Fiend, then back to him. "Try to talk to them through your thoughts. Just think really hard, telling them it's alright. You can close your eyes if you need to," she explained, bright eyes focused upon him. "C'mon. You can do it; I know you can."

~~~
Elise turned her head towards the forest, staring calmly for a couple of moments. Her Fiend turned smoothly, as if a twirling ribbon of muscle, after ripping open another monster and bounded off to the forest. His sharp hearing pinpointed the girl's position, and he sprang onto the monsters from behind. A swirl of fire encircled one, while he leapt onto another and began fiercely tearing and ripping. Unfortunately, one was still left to go for her.
Zen's maneuvered his hand, releasing a thin wire attached to a hook. The hook end flying towards a branch and circling around it for a firm grip. With the cord now firm, Kasper jumped from the rocks he was on one hand present on his chest as his mouth moved, muttering a barely audible word. He swung to an open area just in time to avoid a torrent of water that was aimed at him.
The pecktus that had shot at him turned its body to match Zen's movement, but was too late. A shard of ice had embedded itself through the creatures skull, the force of the shard being fired at it strong enough to send the creature flying through the air and pinning it against a large oak tree, the shard of ice acting as a nail.
Almost instantly Ariuz slid off, heading towards two more pektus's that had grouped together for a combined attack. The serpent like fiend coiled around the first one, tiny shards of ice spikes on his scales acting as a cheese grater as he contorted his muscles. The spikes embedded themselves into the monster and ripped through flesh as Ariuz worked its away around the creatures body, eventually leaving everything but its beak, barely recognizeable
The second of the two monsters was the luckier of the two, being frozen from the inside out as Ariuz sunk his fangs and injected it with his icy venom. As the creature; unfortunate enough to be of the water element, froze. Cracks along its body began to appear before it crumbled down into nothing but ice blocks.
With 3 pecktus's already slain, Ariuz returned to Zen's side and coiled around his summoners body, using itself as a barrier. The icy spikes that earlier served to act as a cheese grater, now gone.
Sliding his dagger out the sheeth, Zen held it just infront of his fiends mouth, as Ariuz released a breath of icy air. Already the blade of the dagger was growing in size as an 'ice blade' formed. It would take awhile for it to complete in shape, which was why Ariuz coiled around his summoners body.
This 'weapon enhancement' trick was a maneouver he had learnt from his previous mentor. A summoner of fire, that would coat his weapons in a flammable liquid and get his fiend to ignite it... enhancing its abilities..
Fully concious that he was being watched by a fifty foot lizard Helios turned his attention to his Fiend the best he could. What if he couldn't get it under control? Trying to ignore the burst of self doubt he attempt to think 'at' his Fiend.
Calm down. Please. Just calm down. I don't want to cause trouble. Just calm down.
He wasn't sure if it had worked or not but at least the Fiend stopped growling. However, it's lonf furless tail continued to swish back and forth in obvious displeasure.
Helios turned back to Diana with a little shrug. He thought this was as good as they were going to get.
Diana watched the Fiend carefully. It seemed to be calmer now. "Areo, you can let them go. But stay around, just in case," she called to the dragon Fiend. Rain would easily beat back the inexperienced Fjend with magic, but she didn't want to hurt Helios. "Try to keep those thoughts up. You probably don't need to think so hard anymore - I just want it to be safe."
Bella heard a mans voice calling something about a fiend, when after a few seconds she smacked her own forehead.
“Man I’m dumb.” she whispered softly to herself. Taking a deep breath Bella rested against another tree. She listened carefully, hearing how the monsters came closer. “Koi.” she whispered again as she touched her chest.
Suddenly a big grey/brown winged wolf appeared out of a small static storm. It bared its teeth, drooling and growling while the hair on his back raised ready to attack.
“Nice puppy.” she spoke patting it on its snout. The fiend growled only louder almost as it was annoyed with her. “Do that thing you did the other day.”
Beldor kneeled a bit allowing his summoner to climb on and used his wings to cover Bella and keep her safe. As he did his two tales started to rub against each other building up his electricity attack. The fiend could see the approaching Pectus monsters but he didn’t move from his spot. The monsters eventually spotted the larger fiend and drew closer and closer.
~~
Areo had paid more attention to the fiend making sure the was secure and wouldn’t escape but when Diana gave the word the dragon fiend slowly lifted up his claw.
Bastian how ever kept his eye on those he could. He saw some potential but then he also saw potential with issues. None the less they were doing fine, well except for the water summoner and the weird girl.
"Come on you lot. Finish this up." He called out.
When the fire Fiend Areo lifted his leg the silver Fiend instantly sprang to its feet. There was one nasty moment where Helios feared it would attempt to tackle the much larger dragon, but it passed in an instant. Instead the Fiend prowled back towards his Summoner, his tail swishing back and forth with every step.
Helios took a step back and glanced quickly over at Diana. He didn't really like his Fiend and got the impression that the feeling was mutual. It stopped several paces from him and sat down on its rear, waiting.
"Now what?" asked Helios to Diana.
((By the way Spirit - Elise's Fiend took out two of the monsters. ^^))
Diana tensed when the Fiend looked fierce, but relaxed when the tension passed. Helios was doing alright, then. Her eyes rested back on him, and she had to prevent herself wincing. He really was the spitting image of his father. But he certainly didn't have the same connection that Ceil had had with Seth. But... Had he had the same trouble? "Do you think they will cooperate with you?" It looked pretty hostile. "Ask them for some magic that will not hurt anyone. We can see their element.If all is fine, I'll get to working with the others."
((Thanks Chico I was kind of wandering about that xd.png))
Areo eventually lifted his wing bringing the other student into view again. The dragon slightly snorted seeing how both summoner and fiend were treating each other. None the less the dragon turned around walking towards the other students. Carefully as he passed over them he took in his seat behind the young summoners.
~~
The monster were only a mere few feet away from Beldor when its stopped. The monster quickly opened his beak readying to spew its hot water when a bright light lit the forest followed with thundering sound. In mere seconds the monster were fried in the electrical bolt. Beldor stepped closer examining the dead monster and when he was satisfied kicked the remains of it to the side. Bella still stayed hidden under the fiends wings while he slowly made his way out still baring his teeth and drooling as he did.
Genra's ice-blue eyes, stark against his white fur, stared at the Fiend that appeared. Informing Elise that she had come to her senses, he turned with a flick of his tail and slithered out of the forest in the elegant manner only a feline possessed. He looked to his Summoner, and then came to her. She stroked his head in praise, finding the space behind his ear that he adored so much. Then, after a minute, he was off again; a thin whirl of bright fire attacking once more from him.
The dragon lifted its wings and flew behind everyone with someone on its back. The fiend now seemed calmer, but still slightly agitated. He heard a loud crack of thunder from the area next door. Sandy noticed the teacher turned back towards the students. hopefully she will repeat the instructions to what ever we were doing before i got here he thought.
U.T nodded in response to learning the name of Nimlos' fiend was 'Khelek', but he didn't have much else to say. He looked back at the students fighting the monsters on the other side of the field, Koishii was already fixated on the tentacled beasts with a look of puzzlement and apprehension. He himself found himself wanting to be completely fearful, but instead also feeling a deep curiosity. The way he felt when a good-looking but dangerous bull was sent to slaughter, knowing he shouldn't desire to get close to it or understand it, but wanting to anyway.
He stretched his arms out over his head, cracking a few vertebrae in his back in the process. A long yawn came out of him, only ending when he plopped onto his behind on the grass. He was rather tall when standing, and he was still pretty tall for a guy sitting down. He made a clicking noise with his tongue, and Koishii came to sit on his lap, still looking at the squid monsters. "So, what do we do now? I know the teacher had to deal with the angry fiend, but... looks kinda like she done forgot about us." He looked at the monsters again, angry as a nest of hornets. Two thoughts crossed his mind- what made them so nasty, and what did they taste like barbequed? "We ain't gonna be fighting those things yet, are we?"
Meaghan finally got up the courage to properly lay a hand on her sabre-toothed companion. Once she did, Tarlin himself pulled her up onto her feet. Meaghan looked into his eyes curiously, feeling as though the cat were trying to be comforting. This wasn't the monster the miners made him appear to be, this was a giant softie. A giant softie with fangs the size of her arm.
With that, Meaghan took hold of a lump of fur and guided Tarlin towards Diana. When he was right beside her she let go of him. Tarlin simply sat beside her, tail tucked neatly around his paws just as though he were any old house cat.
"Diana?" It suddenly occurred to Meaghan that this was one of the first times she'd spoken voluntarily to someone, without being asked a question ahead of her words. She cleared her throat. "I think most of us have a handle on our Fiends for the most part...what would you like us to do?" She turned her head in a slightly inquisitive manner that made her look slightly quirky, but Tarlin mimicked her action in perfect synchronization. Clearly there was a greater bond than Meaghan knew thus far.
Nimlos had to agree with U.T. What were they going to do? But before she had thought of anything sensible to say out loud, Megahan had already left to talk to Diana. She had to admit, that it was courageous in its own way.
Well, if she managed to get themselves the permission to practice, Nimlos would be more than happy about it. Except, she hadn't summoned Khelek yet. Taking her thoughts away, she glanced at the huge red dragon. Yes, it was a Fiend, and obviously a powerful one. Must be another teacher's Fiend. A low thunder was to be heard from the area, where the more experienced students left. They must've been fighting.
Diana turned to the girl when she heard a voice. Ah. She couldn't blame that they were asking. She glanced back at Helios, then back to them. Clearing her throat, she walked more toward the other students so that everyone would be able to see and hear her. "Right! Everyone who has summoned, please ask your Fiend to perform a harmless magic spell. That way, we can see that they're under your control, and what element they are. Those who have not summoned, do so now. If you are having an problems, please just come to me."
A small, barely noticeable grin began to form at the edge of Zen's mouth as the finishing touches of his Ice sword took shape. Ariuz, having been in this position many times before already knew what to do. Uncoiling itself from around his summoner, Ariuz waited for the sensation of his summoner standing along his back before moving.
Zen had positioned himself towards the back of Ariuz's body, a case of ice now covered both his ankles, holding him in place along Ariuz's spine as the serpentine fiend began to snake its way along the ground at a fast pace. A water pektus had noticed the pair and began to make its way towards them, the less then intelligent fiend easily distracted by the front half of Ariuz who had simply passed the pecktus.
It did not have enough time to turn around before its head was lopped off, Zen's ice blade slicing clean through the creature as the 'tail' half of Ariuz made its way past. The creatures head rolled several meters along the ground before stopping at the feet of Kasper.
((Don't think I explained the bottom part right... my brain died on me... basically the pektus turned when the top half of Ariuz, (head and half his body) went past, while the bottom half (the rest of the body - tail area where Zen was followed through) the body doesn't split in two... he just has a long body... being a snake..o3o
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Kasper did not know what to do... in fact he could barely do anything until he managed to yank Oz off his foot. Oz had interlocked his arms, making it harder for Kasper to wrestle him off his leg. Clearly the fiend was frightened...

Thus, when the decapitated head of the water pektus made its way towards the pair, the water fiend all but freaked. Motivated by fear, Oz released his grip and turned to the head, his eyes beginning to glow as dozens of water spheres formed in the air around him. When the spheres where of proper shape (the size of a tennis ball if it was double the size) he launched them at the head, the effect of such attack no better then a water balloon popping. But the force of the water 'exploding' was enough to send the head rolling in the opposite direction.

Fatigued from the attack and the mental stress of this nightmarish ordeal, Oz fell backwards and spread his arms wide as he lay on his back, panting heavily and oblivious to what he had just done.

Kasper on the other hand was confused... unsure whether to congratulate his partner... for that moment of 'bravery'... or to hide in a hole and never show his face again... for the ineffective result of the 'attack'.. if it could even be called that.

((I'd also like to point out that it may be hard for the elemental and darkness Fiends to cast 'harmless magic', unless their target is something that doesn't matter, like a tree or training dummy.))

Helios looked back at his Fiend. He wasn't sure if he could get it to co-operate. Besides, he already knew his Fiend's element.

"It's light" he told Diana. "I already know that."

He watched as she turned her attention to some of the other struggling students. It seemed not everyone had summoned their Fiends yet. With a little sigh he turned back to his own Fiend. It was watching him carefully, waiting to see what he was going to do.

"Okay" he said mostly to himself. "So at least we got you out. Now Diana wants magic."

It suddenly occurred to him that he did not know his Fiend's name. According to Imari all Fiend's had one. What was his called? He studied the silver Fiend carefully, wondering if it was up to him to name then and what it should pick when it came to him. Cerberus. It felt strangley fitting somehow.

Summon her Fiend? Nimlos had been waiting for that moment, but when it finally came, she felt a little unsure. Taking a few steps away from U.T. - just in case - she remembered the word she had recalled when the Fiend had attacked her. Nimlos smiled a little and took a deep breath and touched the crystal.

"Ril-elen!" she called clearly. Instantly, a blue-white wispy smoke appeared, taking form and mass. Before long, a white wolf was standing in front of Nimlos. Khelek wasn't scary at all, with his bright blue eyes and curious floating things around him, like a necklace and a scarf-looking piece of fabric. Khelek was just big enough to maybe carry her for short distances.

"Hello, Khelek." Nimlos whispered and extended her hand. Khelek silently pressed his nose at Nimlos' palm and allowed her to scratch him. After a few moments, Nimlos felt confident Khelek wouldn't do anything stupid, but...

"Be nice, okay? We don't want any trouble." Khelek merely blinked his eyes and swished his tail once, as if to say 'I'm not stupid, you know'. Nevertheless, Khelek padded nicely behind her as Nimlos walked back to U.T. She kept a close eye on Khelek, but he didn't act aggressively, so Nimlos relaxed a little.

"So, we have to do magic?" she asked him, a little unsure.

Diana finally addressed the students to give them instructions, but it seemed there wasn't a lot of instructing going on. Just as before when Diana instructed the group to summon their Fiends, she didn't tell them how one was supposed to ask their Fiend to attack. What if the Fiend doesn't even know? He's just as inexperienced as I am!

With a sigh, Meaghan turned towards Tarlin, who gave a low rumble in acknowledgement of her gaze. "Okay boy, just a small burst towards that tree over there of...well whatever you've got." Tarlin seemed to grin at Meaghan's uncertainty, as if knowing already what his power was.

Her Fiend circled around towards the tree and concentrated on it. This was the moment of truth, to find out once and for all what her element was. Please don't be light or dark, she thought. Tarlin snorted, and she realized he could hear her thoughts. She smiled. "That could be useful."

Tarlin opened his mouth and seemed to hunch backwards as a ball of light appeared in his mouth. Meaghan looked on in dismay at what appeared to be a Light-based action. Her fears were evaporated instantly however as it began to crackle, and multiple streams of electricity zig-zagged through the air in a straight path, connecting perfectly with the tree with the near instantaneous speed and the associated crack of thunder that accompanied lightning.

Meaghan grinned from ear to ear looking at the scorch marks on the tree. "Lightning! Tarlin is a Lightning Fiend!" Tarlin seemed to give a low growl in assent, pleased that Meaghan approved of his work.

“Finally.” Bastian spoke as he saw Kasper’s fiend trying to do something rather than just clinging to his summoner and was also pleased to see the other girl had finally summoned her fiend. As for the others they surely have a good connection with their fiends and at least a little bit of fighting skills.

Bastian pushed himself off the wall and stepped a bit closer to see what was left from the monsters. There were at least still seven left and hopefully that will last them long enough until Diana was finished.

oh no, i did miss something Sandor thought. what was he suppose to do now? most people around him had their fiends, but how do you get your fiend? my fiend disappeared, i don't know what happend to it he thought. Should he go ask the teacher? that had the risk of her noticing that he wasn't here before. He walked up to the teacher and said "um excuse me, i don't know how to summon my feind."
