Bastian stood and watched where the girl had disappeared into the library. That was... odd to say the least he thought to himself. Still thinking on what happened Bastian heard footsteps.

He quickly turned around and noticed someone standing not to far from him. He couldn’t see well who it was or if it was even a boy or a girl.

“Can I help you?” Bastian finally spoke, his voice echoing down the hallway.

"Um. I was just going to check out the library" said Helios as though he was asking permission. The man was standing between him and the door and it would have been rude to just push past him.

Helios looked the man up and down now that he was facing him.

"Are you part of the staff?" he asked unsure.

Bastian looked at the door when he mentioned the library before he looked back at the boy. He seemed so scared and unsure of himself Bastian wondered if he should warn him about that odd girl inside.

He decided against it. They need to learn to accept one another he thought to himself. When the boy asked if he was staff he just nodded.

“And I take it you’re one of the new students this year?”

The man looked back at the door library before nodding a confirmation. He looked roughly the same age as Diana. Helios wondered if they had trained together here at the school.

The self confirmed staff member asked Helios if he was a new student and he replied with a nod of his own, barely perceptible because of his hood. Realising this Helios decided to speak up.

"Yes."

“You’re not much of a talker are you?” Bastian spoke as placed he hands in his pockets and took a step closer towards the boy. Luckily Bastian wasn’t in much of a curious mood now so he walked passed the boy instead. He needed to find Diana to know what the plan is. It wasn’t like she have told him anything anyway.

“Say kid what was Diana’s instructions to you lot?” Bastian spoke again turning around to look at him.

Helios remained silent when the man gently chided him for not talking much. The comment kind of annoyed him, as he felt he was being got at for constantly blabbing all the time. Besides, he was in a strange place with strange people and expected to spend the next year learning how to fight man-eating monsters. Could anyone blame him for not feeling like saying much?

The man walked past him and Helios thought he was going to leave, but he turned and called back to him with a question.

"To go to the meeting room in about thirty minutes" he replied, looking over his shoulder.

“Thanks.” Bastian spoke venturing back down the corridor.

Bella had been running around the library gathering several books that she haven’t read yet. Summoner and monster books where kind of banner in her house and since she got her fiend her parents restricted her reading to certain books.

When she got a good amount of books on the table she took in her seat, hidden behind the books, and started to page trough one of the illustrations books.

Helios waited until the man had walked out of sight before moving forward towards the library door. Opening it and stepping inside Helios saw the long shelves of books and knew he had come to the right place. At first he thought he was the only person in the room, but a second look revealed a pair of feet by a chair, the rest of the person hidden by a large stack of books on the table before.

Helios looked at the pile of books and wondered if they had been there before. Had the person behind them picked them all to read? Would they be able to do so before they had to meet back up with Diana? Helios doubted it, but it was no business of his.

Taking refuge that he would not have to speak to the person in the chair, with this being a library, Helios ambled over to a nearby shelf. No had no idea at all where he should start his research. Perhaps with his Fiend? Even if he only known he had one for just over twenty four hours he guessed he would be expected to know something about his element.

A quick glance over the bookcases found a shelf of books on the various elements. Helios selected the mostly likely looking one and pulled it out to read.

Jake watched as another student entered the room and stopped to observe Helios. It was the rude boy who started the commotion on the roof and mouthed off against Artur. He was glad the boy didn't take a bed near him. As far as first impressions went, that guy was the only one who made a bad impression on Jake. After Helios left, Jake took Merric's note out of his bag and got up as well. "I'm gonna go and grab a bite.", he said to no-one in particular as he left the room.

Instead of going to the kitchen though, he went to the meeting room early. He wasn't really hungry anyway. Maybe there wouldn't be any other students in the meeting room yet, so he could ask one of the teachers about his reading without anyone else finding out.

---

As the tour continued and Artur was alone again, he went back inside the infirmary and finished his prayer. After finishing, he went to the library. He wanted to research some plants he bought the other day, that - according to the salesman at least - might be helpful in the art of healing.

When he arrived he noticed there were some students there too. He recognized the one with the hood from earlier and gave him a small nod. The other student was hidden behind a pile of books and seemed to be too busy to notice him.

Diana was, quite cheerfully, lounging about in the Meeting Room. She had half a sandwich in one hand, and had taken to draping herself over an armchair. Legs over one arm (chair arm, that was) and back against the other. Gladys certainly knew how to make these... Mmm. She chewed thoughtfully, mulling over the lesson she had planned. It wasn't too difficult; she needed to get a feel for the experience levels in the class.

Meaghan finally got to her turn at the counter in the cafeteria. The lady behind the counter seemed nice enough, Gladys was it? Still, she was nervous in a new environment and just gave the lady a smile. Maybe they'd get to know each other soon.

She chose a sandwich with what appeared to be lettuce, tomatoes and cheese in it and headed back out the door. Where should she go now? She thought of all the places on the tour that were mentioned, but it seemed as though they'd probably be full of students exploring just as she was. Where's the last place a student would want to go? she thought to herself.

Meaghan finally decided on just going to the meeting room early, since that's where they'd end up eventually. The other students would likely not want to be where they were supposed to right away when they had free time on their hands. Meaghan walked up to the door and found it closed, giving a few cautious knocks before opening the door a crack and peeking in. She saw the instructor Diana already lounging over a chair.

"Am I too early to come in? Would you mind if I joined you ahead of time?" She hated the way her voice sounded, but at the same time didn't feel she could do any better if she was given a second try.

Zen showed no indication that he had noticed several of the others exit the room. Simply put, their presence here or there lack of presence made no difference. It was not as if Zen was gonna sit down and chat with them had they stayed.

He didn't even flinch, when the door opened once more as another student entered.

After several arduous minutes, Kasper finally made a decision and chose the door on the left. He had spent several minutes simply standing outside, wondering which of the three rooms was the boys dorm... that was ofcourse after spending a good 5 minutes walking back to the right hallway. He had walked passed the kitchen twice in his long journey to the boys dorm that he was almost ready to collapse on a bed... the added strain to his already fatigued body pushing him over the limit.

As Kasper entered the room, he noticed the boy from earlier, the one that had been attacked by the larger red fiend.

"Yo" he muttered, raising one hand up, before walking over to a bed and falling down on it.

Bella peered through the books when she heard the door open. She couldn’t see who it was but she could tell where the person was going. It wasn’t long when she heard the door open again. She could clearly see who this was seeing that she remembered his clothes. It was the healer of the school Artur.

Bella just gave a little smile as the man passed her before she stuck her head in a book again. Looking closely at some of the illustrations of different fiends over the time. Putting the book down she thought on what she read for a couple of minutes when she notice the boy who came in first in was still looking for some thing.

Bella silently got up and left her current book by the table, slowly she made her way around the bookcase until she came from behind the boy.

“You looking for something specific?” she asked smiling with arms behind her back.

Helios opened the book and looked at the first page. To his surprise he saw it that the text was written in old, before spelling was properly taught. While he was sure he could decipher the text given time, time wasn't what he had. Looking back at the shelf Helios tried to see if there was a book from a more recent period.

“You looking for something specific?

Helios yelped with surprise and spun around, flattening himself against the bookcase behind him. One of the girls from the tour had snuck up right behind him, giving him a fright.

"Don't do that" he said crossly, embarrassed by his reaction. Helios looked across the room at Artur who had entered a few moments ago. Would the nurse be angry that he had made such a noise?

Bella smiled and tilted her head a bit in order to get a better view of the boy’s face. It seemed a bit familiar to her as if she had seen a picture of him before. Shaking her head she allowed her gaze to fall upon the books behind him.

“Don’t do what? Help you find a book?”

Bastian has made his way to the meeting room feeling a bit annoyed. Once he opened the door there was already one of the students with a plate standing there as if she was unsure of herself while Diana was lazing about over an arm chair.

“Dammit Diana.” Bastian spoke as he drew closer. “What was the first rule? Work as a team. Don’t you remember?”

"Sneak up behind people" replied Helios annoyed. "And I can manage thank you."

Right now he wanted nothing more than for the girl to go away, although a part of him wanted to run away himself. When she tried to peer inside his hood he automatically tugged it further over his face.

He sometimes got strange looks from people on the street, although he had never been able to work our why. It wasn't like he was deformed or something. Imari had said to ignore them, but Helios couldn't help but feel self conscious about it.

Bella frowned at the boy’s answer. She found him to be rather rude at the moment while she was just trying to be nice. And because she is the person who she is, she is going to point it out to him... clearly.

“You know.... you are very rude!” She stated still frowning at the boy. “Rejecting a helping hand, I was just being nice but no you guys always think your better than those who try to help and be nice.”

Slowly Bella started to walk away with her hands on her hips, muttering about something her mother told her. Eventually Bella took in her seat again but this time she didn’t even touched a book, she just stared at it as if it was the reason for her current mood.

Helios stared after the girl as she marched away. He was being rude? She was the nosey one. And she didn't even bother to apologise for making him jump.

With a little sigh and a shake of the head Helios turned back around and started to focus on the bookcase again. After about half a minute he spotted another liekly contender and pulled it out. Opening it he saw that the text was a lot clearer and he nodded to himself in satisfaction.

Placing the first book back on the shelf Helios walked over to a chair, making sure to chose the one that was futhest away from the nosey girl. He spread the book open on his lap, turned to the chaper on elements, and started to read.

Bella sat with folded arms still looking at the book. A small tear started to run down her cheek as she remembered her mothers words. It wasn’t hurtful or anything but Bella knew it was the truth but she never wanted to believe it.

Slowly more and more tears ans small gasping sounds escaped her as she tried to hold back her tears. Eventually Bella bent down and picked up her bag. Soon she pulled out a tissue wiping her tears away but it didn’t stop her from making little gasping noises.

Helios was reading a passage about white and dark elements when he became aware of a faint sound on the edge of his hearing. He looked up and around and saw that the nosey girl was crying. As he watched the little sobs she emitted grew larger until she reached into her bag for a tissue. Even after she wiped her eyes she still continued to cry.

Helios instantly felt guilty. Was this his fault? He hadn't meant to make her cry. He was just angry because she had made him look like an idiot. Now he was a jerk. That was so unfair.

Picking the book up and holding it at face level Helios tried to hide behind the pages and pretend he couldn't hear anything. He couldn't concentrate though, as her sobs kept distubing him. Feeling very uncomfortable and having no idea what to do Helios pressed himself deeper into the seat and hoped that it would open up and swallow him.

Eventually though it got to him. He couldn't stand it any more. With an angry sigh he put the book down and stood up. He wasn't going to apologise though. It was her fault. She was the one who should be sorry, or so he kept trying to tell himself.

He glanced over at the nosey girl and then, holding the book tightly to his chest, started to walk towards the door. Maybe he could go and sit outside, away from anyone he could upset and anyone who could upset him.

Meaghan was startled as another voice came from behind her. It seemed to be another teacher who seemed to have a problem with Diana. Well, if it wasn't awkward before, it was certainly awkward now. Meaghan stood silently between the two teachers, feeling almost as though they were talking through her. She contemplated leaving, but that would likely draw attention. So she stood in limbo, waiting for the awkward state to break.

Regardless of how long it took and how much time he had left, Zen left the room. Not even glancing at the water fiends summoner sprawled out like an idi0t on the opposite bed as he left. Having already gotten a good idea of the school layout, Zen began making his way towards the meeting hall. A simple walk down the corridor past the infirmary and a right turn.

If he arrived early, he would simply wait until the others came... or until the owner of the overgrown red lizard decided to rekindle their earlier meeting.

It wasn't long before Kasper had dozed off, the beginning of a pool of drool already beginning to form. Perhaps had he been more awake, he would have been agitated by the blatant cold shoulder of the other room inhabitant but since he was 'out of it', he did not notice.

As Jake entered the meeting room he noticed there were already some people there. Diana, the nice teacher who showed them the school, the female student who had the question about healing earlier on and another man he hadn't seen yet. Maybe that was the other teacher. What was his name again? Bastion? "Oh, hello everyone!"

He decided he'd ask about his element now and Merric's note later, maybe after getting an answer about his element, maybe later on if there were too many people by then. The teachers surely wouldn't laugh at him and the girl didn't seem to be very experienced herself either. "Uhm, miss Diana? May I ask you something?" He didn't wait for an answer. "You mentioned earlier we could always ask you anything about our Fiends we didn't know ourselves. So, uhm, could you tell me something about the elements? I'm not sure what they are and what mine might be."

---

As Artur was looking for the book about plants he needed, the two student seemed to have a little falling out, which ended with the boy leaving and the girl crying behind her books. "Don't forget to return the book later, please. Wouldn't want it to get lost, would we?" he said to the boy as he was leaving the library with his book held close.

He then went to the girl behind the books. "Is something wrong, my girl?" he asked, standing beside her.

Bella didn’t move to look at the Artur when he spoke to her. She just looked at Helios who as about to leave. Her eyes were teary, red and her facial expression was quite sad.

“I’m fine sir. It nothing, just my own stupidness.” Bella spoke still trying to stop herself from crying. She in away knew it was kind of silly to cry over such a matter but she was just one of those people who expresses herself quite a bit.

Diana smiled at the girl lazily, tilting her head to look at her. " 'Course you can," she said, nodding. "I probably didn't make it clear - you're perfectly welcome before I want you here." Then, in came Bastian. And he was complaining. She rolled her eyes, huffed, and sat up.

"I know what I'm doing, okay? You're the fresh meat about here - although you're more of a dried slab from the way you're going on!" she teased him, lip twitching up into a smile. "Chill. I got in under control."

There was a boy asking her about his element now. She dropped the teasing manner; it might discourage him from asking questions and such. For a moment, she thought, then answered him back. "Well, it's not too difficult. No painful tests or anything." Her eyes twinkled. Oh, wait. She wasn't supposed to be teasing. Ah, well. "A-Anyway," she continued, "I'm going to give you guys an opportunity to summon your Fiends in a bit. You'll ask your Fiend for an offensive move, and we'll see what they do."

~~~
Elise, having finished with all she wanted to do, made her way to the Meeting Room. She peered inside, navy eyes taking in who was there. Ah. Silently, she slipped inside, and stood near the wall. It wasn't so much out of shyness, but more out of uncomfort. She didn't know these people, and didn't really want to go and sit near to one of them on a couch. Eyeing up one of the free chairs, she hesitated to go and sit. What of someone else took that seat?
