Shaza looked at them before picking up the data pad to look it over. Trade seemed all in order. The meeting thing though bothered her. Who exactly would they send? What kinds of questions would they be asking? But she also knew she could not be stand fast against everything either. She had to allow some leeway. "Alright, I agree to the every other week check up, however, who ever does show will be escorted." she said before she signed it and handed it back "Aside from that, I'll send word to the Kas-Mah part of the trade post that a new section will be added. They know your traders as of today, I've already spoken to there leader about your presents there, and he seems to be ok with you." she explained "But I'd recommend having a word with him before starting there, if you would like we could set up our own trade post on our boarders. Or neutral zone, we did have to go a ways before we saw your kind."

Feya checked the signature then nodded with a smile.

"Of course we will speak with the Kas-Mah, and we would appreciate it if you introduced us to their leader. Before that however, we want our first visitation. I have the necessary equipment on me, and we do insist on this." Feya said, her tone brooking no argument. "My colleagues will stay here if you wish and the meeting can take place in a location of your choice as well. This part is non-negotiable as well." She said calmly. Her tone still didn't allow for negotiation but it also wasn't angry or threatening. She seemed to just be informing Shaza what was goin to happen.

Shaza nodded getting up "We'll do that in the spawning pools then. Only you will show and I'll be the one escorting you." she said starting to walk to the entrance "As for the Kas-Mah, we cannot as of today as I already have plans with them for one of there own tridisions involving the yesterday's deaths of both mine and their leaders sons." she admitted before gesturing for her to go through the opening first. She signaled a old friend to head to the spawning pools to warn Pikna so it would not be a shock to her based on how she acted yesterday when they ran into another Krahn party "They want to ask some questions, at least that's all there saying to me, they don't seem hesitant on threatening strife however when it comes to getting her back. Both times they mentioned war and there weapons. So I want prep made in case." she sent out

((Shatong can communicate almost telepathicly, but its a chemical nature to it so it can only be done with other Shatong, another race would only notice chemical signatures in the air IF they can even detect the traces of it.

Before you wonder, I just left the opportunity open if ya want to take control of the old friend of Shaza's.))

Shaza's friend nodded and moved off ahead towards the spawning pools. He made it there quickly enough and entered, immediately seeing Pikna off to one side. She was making one of the data pads again when he got to her, but she also looked up and smiled.

"Hi." She said brightly.

"Hello, listen, Shaza sent me." He said, taking a knee so he was at Pikna's level. "Shaza told me to inform you that you have a visitor." He explained. "One of your race wants to see you."

Pikna's eyes widened and she shook her head, backing up as she shook.

"I don't want to. The only person I want to talk to is Jol!" She was getting louder as she spoke, fear pheremones coming off of her in waves.

"I know you don't, but they are insisting. From what Shaza says they're threatening us if they can't see you. Shaza will be here the whole time and all these people can see if they try to do something.

Pikna looked down, fear still coming off of her, but finally nodded.

"Alright, but Shaza had to stay right here."

The male nodded and stood to leave spotting Shaza and Feya at the entrance. He walked towards them and informed them of Pikna's wishes before leaving. Pikna was still in her corner, watching Feya's every move like a cornered animal.

When Feya stood about six feet from Pikna, she looked down at the little girl as though expecting something. A moment later she pulled out a small device and pressed it causing a loud tone.

Pikna immediately stepped forward as though shocked and made an intricate gesture and made a series of clicks and buzzes, communicating in the Krahn language.

"There, that wasn't so hard was it? Only a week away and you're already forgetting your manners." Feya said calmly. "Now, our first order of buisness is a medical exam." She pulled out a small bag she had been carrying and set it down in front of Pikna.

"Open the bag and tell me the name of the devices as well as their functions." Feya said.

Pikna immediately went to it, quickly rattling off the devices before stepping back.

"Very good, now show me how you use these by performing an exam on yourself."

Pikna looked up at Feya, her eyes wide and a faint scent of fear coming from her, but began to use each tool. The reason for her fear became apparent when she picked up a device that looked like both a drill and a claw. The top had a glass vial as well which was connected to the drill.

Pikna was practically gushing fear pheremones as she carefully attached the device her her arm. She touched two buttons and the drill started to begin to chew into her carapace. She whimpered in pain as it went in, each one becoming more pronounced as the process continued. Then the drill bit through into the inside of her arm and Pikna only barely kept herself from screaming. She managed to hit another button and the vial on top filled with green blood. The drill retracted with a high pitched whine. When it exited a blue light was coming off of it and the carapace beneath had healed.

Pikna was gasping for air and was shaking badly as she put the vial into a small box filled with foam and put the rest of the tools away.

"Very good, I see you haven't forgotten your training." Feya said, carefully collecting the bag and standing back.

"Alright, final part, tell me what you did wrong, what you learned, and five things you have seen since leaving the colony." Feya said carefully.

Pikna was still shaking and would have been crying if she could have, but managed to rattle of the answers that Feya wanted.

"Alright, I think that's enough for today. Thank you for your cooperation Shaza. Pikna, follow the rules." Feya said before turning and walking out. She was soon joined by the rest of her party and they all flew off without another word.

Pikna meanwhile was still beside the spawning pool where she had been questioned, but now she was on the ground holding herself, sadness, fear, pain and other emotions mixing together to smell like a sewer to anyone who didn't recognize them. Her knees were to her chest and she was holding them tight like this might protect her.

Shaza nodded and came with Feya over to Pikna. She though was visibly getting increasingly uneasy the more the stuff went on. This was how they wanted to treat her? This was how they wanted to bring her back? Making her dread every visit like this? After the Krahn team flew off she sat down beside Pikna her nose making it hard right now to not gag at the smell but held it in. She put a arm around the frighted Krahn child "Shhhh." she said gently "That's it for this week, as part of the agreement they will only show once a week, though I'll be talking with them about that manner of taking blood tests." she said sternly holding Pikna against her "Your free to stay with us as long as you want though, never forget that." she said to try to sooth her sitting there on the flesh floor holding Pikna against her in a hug. She was already not liking this race more then eh did the Kas-Mah, at least they backed up there actions, all the Krahn seemed to do is say that they needed to put her mind to use. Even before they got here it sounded like they treated her like this as well. No war? It was hard to imagine, along with how they seemed readily eager to mention no war or there guns when she turns them away when asking to hand over Pikna "Next time I'll have a few of our own tools for taking blood samples ready for you. It will go much quicker and not as agonizing as a result." she assured her "And I'll have armed guards. They mentioned making you do things to put you in pain, there for I will object to it." she insisted before sighing.

Pickna continued to shake and quiver, but her breathing and heart rate were lowering in Shaza's arms. She curled in and hugged Shaza, burying her head in the older woman's shoulder. She stayed that way for almost five minutes before she pulled back and sat beside Shaza. The scents she was giving off were disappearing as the pheremones stopped flowing, and she looked up at Shaza with her large green eyes.

"I don't want to see them." She said quietly. "The woman wasn't just an ambassador, she was the head of the program that dealt specifically with me. She was the worst of everyone." Pikna said, shuddering at the memories. "The other people, they mostly tried to make things easier, but she used the shock rings most. She came up with all the teachig methods." Pikna shook her head and refused to say anything else about her time in the facility. "I don't want to see her anymore." She said. "Please make them send someone else."

Shaza nodded gently rubbing the Krahn's back not sure though if she even felt it through her exo skeleton. "Shhhh, I'll put the request in. Honestly if they want you back I'm not sure how they plan to make it more inviting by harming and scaring you." she commented "Your safe here Pikna, here you will be allowed to learn and come up with things relax and have fun with out the eye of someone wanting to use your gift. Remember that alright?" she asked "Onto another topic though." she said looking at the spawning pool and inspected one of the growing data pads "Seems your learning well, I don't see a miss placed strand anywhere here." she said smiling "Any idea how much information it could hold? Each one is different, sometimes on the out side other times on the inside." she explained

Pikna looked down and shook her head. "Feya isn't thinking short-term." Pikna explained. "She's focusing on making sure I have the skills, even if it hurts. She figures that eventually I will be driven back to the colony by something, loneliness, sickness, whatever. She thinks that at some point I will end up back there, so my not liking her won't matter, my training will have continued, I learned even more and now I'm even more prepared for what she wants." Pikna shrugged a little and looked over to the spawning pool before standing and walking to it. Thinking seemed to take her mind off of the pain she had just experienced and calmed her down.

"Since this is a living organism it contains a rudimentary brain at least, probably a bare minimum that regulates what body functions it possesses, circulation and the like. Assuming you are using the brain as a storage device this device could hold..." She thought for a moment then shrugged. "A lot of data. Nothing we have could even match this in terms of sheer storage capacity. If that's how it actually works of course."

Shaza sighed as Pikna explained the situation and rested a hand on her shoulder "Pikna, here, you'll be treated like your one of us, tomorrow we'll be taking your medical scans so we can help you if you do become sick and we'll know why and how." she explained "You'll be free to find a mate once you of age, we can reproduce with almost any creature, I could explain how that works but I don't think you want to know right now." she explained before looking at the pool again "As for the data pad, its got neural patches, those are like your chip sets, signels go in and come out where there met to, the data center is.... I suppose like a brain yes, but is not self aware, nothing of our tech really is besides the little one on your back." she explained

Aera chirped at the attention and moved up a little to look over Pikna's shoulder. Pikna chose to not go for a grab, instead deciding that being patient would work better in this case.

"Will your medical scans hurt?" Pikna asked quietly. She knew the answer was probably no, but she wanted to hear the words anyway. "I hate medical exams, they've always been like that. They always hurt." She shook her head before looking up at Shaza. "Thank you for helping me." She said, giving Shaza another hug before looking back at the spawning pool. "So it is closer to electronic then anything." Pikna said softly. "What are the limits to its capacity?" She asked.

Shaza shook her head "No most of them we can gather from a small piece of you, example I'm sure you shed some of that every now and then, no life form ever does not shed something. For blood tests there will be a jab but I've already got the scientists working on modifying one of our weapons, and turn its ammo into something we can use for people like you with your exoskeletons, only far more toned down. Its designed to penetrate metal armor, applying that to it making it far more smaller and not as deadly some will be made to stick a needle like thing into your arm in one short jab, take some blood before removing its self in a blink of an eye, that's... the only painful part I can think of, and its very quick, nothing like that..... drill they made you use." she said looking disgusted at the thought of that "Anyway, the rest can be dealt with scans and a small sample of your DNA, which now that I think about can be included with the blood sample." she explained hugging her back "As for the data pad, it does have a set... size for the data center however we can't.... entirely control how the cells develop some hold more info then others. Some turn out defective even, but yes you are correct, its only the tech that's different, when you assemble something we spin its genetics, aside from that, if you ignore the tech difference, they are the same in a manner of speaking."

Pikna nodded quietly as Shaza explained the process and told her how it would be accomplished. She listened to the explanation of how the data pads worked, then glanced at a data pad nearby. "Shaza, its nearing sundown." She said. "You should go. I'll be fine here." She said.

(I'm going to assume you go.)

Three Kas-Mah met Shaza at the edge of the swamp, a small flat bottomed boat nearby. It had torches on it, each lighting the area quite well.

"Please come with us." Said the lead Kas-Mah, a female who carried a large rifle, even larger then a normal one that Shaza had seen. One of the other Kas-Mah was armed the same way while the third had an ordinary rifle slung over his shoulder.

The Kas-Mah led the way to the boat and took up positions at the bow and stern of the boat, their eyes on the swamp around them. When Shaza had taken her seat the Kas-Mah with the slung rifle picked up a long pole and began to move them with it. As they went the Kas-Mah began to dunk the torches in the water until the boat was in darkness. Only the eyes of the Kas-Mah could be see, and they were fixed on the swamp, watching for danger. Ahead a dim light could be seen coming closer, until they came upon a lone torch, its fire glowing blue. They passed the torch without slowing and continued in, the darkness coming back over them. In all they passed 20 of the torches, each time carrying on without slowing. As they passed 20th, a glow was seen in the distance. They approached it and Shaza had her first view of the Kas-Mah village. It was huge, easily three or four acres in all directions. The whole thing was raised on stilts and seemed to incorporate the trees that grew beneath it into the design. The architecture was utilitarian, each house designed more for function then for looks. Another pair of blue torches sat at the end of a dock that the boat pulled up along side. The Kas-Mah stepped out and helped Shaza out, but stopped her before she could move on. "Stay quiet." The female said, stepping to the side and bowing. The other two followed suit as footsteps were heard. A pair of white eyes could be seen approaching and a very old Kas-Mah stepped into the light a moment later. He was a little stopped, but he carried himself well as though still just as strong. He walked forward carefully and stopped in front of Shaza, looking her over carefully before placing a hand on her shoulder.

"We feel your loss." He said quietly. Before Shaza could respond he gently put another hand on her shoulder and guided her to her knees. Then he took a bag from his shoulder and opened it. White paint was pulled out and symbols were drawn on Shaza, each one well practiced and precise. When he had finished the Kas-Mah put the paint away and wiped his hands before reaching into the bag and withdrawing a long and beautifully stitched piece of cloth. The designs on the back showed the moon, stars, and trees along with other symbols. This he placed over both of Shaza's shoulders and let hang down her back. Finally he pulled out a necklace made from polished rock, bone and wood. A pendant shaped like the sun hung from it. This he placed around her neck before stepping back. He said something in the Kas-Mah language then gestured for her to follow him, but not before gesturing to his lips, telling Shaza to remain quiet. He led the way up a staircase to the main level and through a series of bridges and pathways. In the distance an eerie, keening sound could be heard, and ahead another blue fire, this one huge, it's flames licking over 15 feet in the air. Tables were arranged around a fire pit. To one side a group of female Kas-Mah sang, each wearing a robe of sorts. At the head table sat Dalnr, bedecked with paint and the cloak the same as Shaza, and to his right were a number of Kas-Mah, with Defas's mate-to-be directly next to him. She had obviously been crying and was still torn apart by the loss of her mate. The old Kas-Mah led Shaza to a seat directly next to Dalnr and gestured for her to sit. The women who continued to sing began to wind their song down until finally stopping all together. The old Kas-Mah came forward, bearing a staff with charms and fetishes on it, and stood in front of the fire.

"I am the ancestor, oldest of our tribe." He began. "I have lived through more generations the most could ever hope to. I have loved, lost, and seen cubs become hunters. Always there is life, but as with all things, we must return what we borrowed. Many leave us in this place to begin anew, and each of us has made the journey ourselves countless times. Though we do not remember, we can rest easy knowing that when this universe ends, when all the suns fade to black, when all goes dark and nothing lives or hunts, then we will remember. All the love, all the happiness, all that we have learned and experienced will be returned to us. We will be together, with our loved ones, with our friends. We will be seperate, but unified as one as well." He shook his head sadly and glanced up. "Yesterday, two young hunters, both merely cubs, began their journey anew. Taken from their current life early, they became something, someone new. Truly we are sad to see them leave us so unexpectedly, for we expected them to grow up, find a mate, bring children into this world, and live long fulfilling lives. That is not the case though. Today we honor the two that have fallen. The Guuji's have been bequeathed, their spirits allowed to pass on. Tonight is to remember them, to remember that though night has fallen on their lives, like the sun they shall rise up after every darkness."

The older Kas-Mah bowed and went to the side where he sat at a seperate table. Four of what could only be Defas's friends had gone to the fire and lifted a long branch from within. On it was a huge creature that smelled delicious. It was placed on a table, then the four began to cut large pieces of the beast off and bring them to the gathered individuals. Shaza and Dalnr were served first, them the the meat worked its way outward until everyone had their meat. Next came baked vegetables and fresh bread. When everyone had again taken their seats the ancestor as he called himself gestured to the women across the fire. They began to sing again, this time a beautiful melody that spoke of love, of caring, of life itself. Even though Shaza couldn't understand the words, the meaning was clear.

The Kas-Mah present didn't eat like last time, they didn't start ripping into the meat like animals, instead they ate and drank carefully, obviously respecting this day of remembrance.

Dalnr finished chewing a bite and looked at Shaza. "How are you doing?" He asked quietly, his tone one of concern. "Do you need anything? I will help if I can, this is partially my fault after all."

Shaza got onto the boat though found it interesting to sit and keep her tail in and ended up just holding it close to her back. Being a race that learned to hunt her self her eye's dilated to the darkness but she could only see so far. But when you live in a place where there are creatures that could kill you right away, and light attracks them, she could see why they blew out the torches.

She looked at the torches that remained out of the water and wondered why they where flue but paid it no mind as they went as it seemed to be a trail for them to find there way with. When they arrived she looked at its all as the boat was guided to where it needed to dock. She had heard of some civilizations living in the tree's but never saw it for her self.

She got up and stepped off the boat though looked at the Kas-Mah as they stopped her from going any further and being told to remain quiet. She gave them a nod but looked a little bewildered. She reconized the next action of them going to either side and bowing, that was a sign someone important was showing up. She saw a pair of eye's and give a bow of her own. She nodded when he spoke. Though wondered why she wanted her on her knees but complied, they have yet to give her reason to distrust them and they seemed to be ok with her. She felt him painting on her and blinked wondering what he was painting, before she saw the cloth as he put it on her shoulders. Then came a necklace. Like many cultures her race had observed, this one too seemed to place important meaning in items as symbos and acts with out words. After that was on she wondered why he had said in his language wondering a little that she could not grasp the basics of it. Maybe they where just.... not compatible with that way of learning from them.

She nodded and stood back up and followed. grimancing a little as they walking along one of the paths and no matter how she tried to walk, the talons on her feet made some sounds like they where putting new holes in them, nothing large she was trying to keep them light but none the less. The odd sound did not help too much but she did not show much besides wonder.

When they finally arrived she almost paused at the site of the huge flames lapping at the sky from the bond fire. She followed the old Kas-Mah to her seat and nodded to Dalnr before looking at the one now calling him self the ancestor. She listened and had to look down at the table as he mentioned the young growing up and how that did not happen. The burn that came up each time it was mention unmistakable in her chest. She nodded to the one that gave her her serving smiling a little and looked around. When it seemed everyone was eating she ate her self, admittedly slowly though. She almost jumped when Dalnr spoke to her before she sighed "I'll.... I'll be alright. Just needing to..... deal with what has happened, its.... sadly easy for me to push it off but.... to really deal with something..... their deaths are on.... my hands." she said quickly visibly trying to not break down. If Dalnr pressed she would just stare at her food and explain how she her self, had not gotten the needed training yet to deal with loss like this, along with how she feels 100% responcible for both their sons death thanks to both being under her care when they went missing and later found dead. In her culture it would be her duty to own up to that and normally they are punished not treated like this. Not that it was bad just.... it was taking her completely by suprize, the genorosity and while she does not feel like she was worthy of any of it, she was thankful though. Along with the fact slipping that she was in training for taking over her colony, but that had also been cut short when they found them selfs here. As a result she did not know if she was even doing anything right. Taking Defas in and losing him with her son, she was worried the same happening to Pikna the Krahn child.

After she finished saying all that she took in a deep breath and let it out "I'm sorry, I must sound like some prey not a hunter." she whispered.

Dalnr listened quietly and nodded, then took another bite and seemed to consider her words.

"You are not prey to have emotions." He said quietly. "We do not scorn emotions, we embrace them. But we also accept that here is a time and place for those emotions. Hunting, leading, those aren't times to show emotions. This place, the places where you live, the places where you are safe, those are the times to show emotions. Showing emotions doesn't make you prey, indeed the fact that you can feel emotions at all shows that you aren't prey." He stopped and ate the bread, then carefully continued after taking a sip of the drinks that had been set before them. "You trust me yes?" He asked quietly. "At least as much as one can for knowing each other for so short a time. Then listen, you are not to blame. Did you act in their best interests? Did you try and help them in life by sending them out to speak with each other? Yes to all. This entire place is run by a computer, perhaps that computer had been watching Varren and Defas since the two met. If that's the case then it could have been planning the test since day one. Even if you had been standing right there, the drone would have taken them. I know you think that you killed them both, especially your son because of the wounds, but from what I saw, they shouldn't have been life threatening. I think it was just a terrible tragedy that couldn't have been prevented by anything we could muster." He sighed and laid a hand on her shoulder, turning Shaza so that he could look her in the eye. "I do not blame you." He said, his eyes glowing the odd orangish white in the fire light. "You shouldn't blame yourself either." He took another bite and listened to the singers for a little bit, then glanced back at Shaza. "I know you don't think you are worthy of our generosity, but you really are. You are our ally, you haven't ever hurt one of us, and what's more, you are my friend. If we blamed you then you would be dead already. Now please eat, this is a dinner of rememberance. This is to celebrate our sons lives and remember the good that they did. It is alright to grieve, but isn't it better to think of them as they were before?"

Shaza just continued to look at the table as Dalnr spoke and at once point let out a shaky breath as he spoke of her having there best interest at heart. She turned to face him when he gently moved her to look her in the eye and she looked back into his eye's. She slowly nodded when he said he did not blame her. she looked a bit suprized when he went on to say she was worth it all and how she was an ally to them. A small hint of a smile crept up on her lips when she said she'd be dead if they did. She did not know why but it happened. She sighed and nodded again before taking another bite of the meat her teeth showing where no teeth had been before. A duel lay of sharp meat eater teeth seemed to be where only her gums had been. Shredding the meat between them with ease. when she swallowed and looked at the singers she seemed to deflate a little "Varren.... he was a trouble some child..... not like Defas but in his own way. He would... not listen but... well he would but only act by it if he saw the reason and point. If he did not like either he would fight it. His father had to punish him more then once, but he was stubborn.... but he had a kind heart under all the.... lack of willingness." she said taking another bite "Like Defas though he did have his eye on a mate, sadly she..... was the friend that had perished when we first arrived here." she admitted. She went on saying storys about him, how he was when he first was born, how fast he learned the spawning pools before even knowing of the melder, she explained the medler a little saying how they connect directly to it allowing them to learn almost all the basics of everything to allow them to pick and chose where they wanted to go after that. She told him how Varren also hardly hesitated when helping those hurt. If he saw sadness he'd almost always be there trying to help. She stopped after that eye's closed "I just wish..... the last thing he got from em would be a.... hug or a kind word..... not being sent out with cuts...." she said quietly her breath shaky

Dalnr listened quietly, not commenting on the stories, instead just being there for Shaza to talk to. When she had finished he nodded in understanding. "Shaza, I regret a lot of things, we all do. I regret my decisions which led to my sons death. I regret treating him as harshly as I did. I regret not saying that I loved him or that I was proud of him. I didn't do any of those things near often enough, and now I wonder if he died hating me. I regret so much, and I will always regret it, always." He sighed and finished his meal, then took a long drink of the wine that was in front of him. He had already gone through two glasses before that and now he was on his fourth. While he was still intelligible, he was getting tipsy and emotional, anyone could see that.

"I wish Glasin were here." He said, taking another drink as his glass was refilled. "I miss her so much, and she would know what to say to both of us. She was always better at this sort of thing then I was. She could look into your eyes and just know what to say. She was my better half, my love. Now I don't even know if she is alive anymore. I was beside her, and then I was here. Why couldn't I have been brought here with her? Or left there? What is she doing now? Has she been taken as another's mate? Does she still miss me?" He shook his head and sat back, staring into the fires depths.

Shaza nodded and sighed taking a drink of her glass finding the fluid odd and harsh but right now, it only helped take her mind off her dead son. She looked into the huge blue fire and then at Dalnr as he spoke about wishing his mate was here. "You know..... she sounds like my mate as well.... he was my guide, if I was unsure about anything he'd always know how to word thing so that.... even if you did not know the answer you'd find it anyway." she said quietly before sighing "He did not join me as well in coming here. I was asleep with him by my side then next the fighting of the nest. We had a large family, 8 children, but only Varren came." she explained before sighing "But as you helped me.... I'll try to be there for you too, our pain has many connections that we seem to share." she said placing an hand on his shoulder. a thought crossed her mind but she shook her head. "I'm sure our mates are still alive.... searching for us."

Dalnr shook his head, eyes watering as he spoke.

"She'll never find me." He whispered. "We never developed space flight. We didn't even mess with ordinary flight that much. There were small shuttles here and there, but mostly we preferred to do things the way they had been done since time began. She can't find me, no one can." He was crying now, a slow trickle admittedly, but still there. "I'm alone. Everyone I've ever cared about is gone. My sons, my mate, my planet, everything..." He took another long drink, trying to drown out his feelings with alcohol.

Shaza looked at him and gently squeezed his shoulder sighing "You may have lots much, but you have gained new allies and a friend from me as well." she pointed out And maybe after some prep, I may have a way for your line to continue. But I will not explain here right now." she said softly before finishing off her plate and glass "Defas seemed to.... lighten up when I offered him to teach Varren about your ways. He was not quite so... hard towards me. He did not question me either. I honestly expected it to be almost a drag him home sort of thing. But you'll be happy to know, that he was very well behaved considering the circumstances to him." she admitted "While he did cut up my son a bit a day later, I saw that coming sooner or later." she finished off saying with a sigh before looking at him "If we find a way off this prison of a place, we'll take your people with us if you want, and search for not only our home, but yours as well. If we can expand the spawning pool, there deaths, will be the last ones here." she said very quietly in hopes to evade the places almost all seeing eye.

Dalnr gave a little smile and nodded. "Alright, I'll hold you to that." He said quietly. "I'm glad that Defas at least tried to cooperate, even if he still fought with your son." Dalnr said, watching the singers again. He was getting worse the more he drank and was now only propping his head up with his hand and elbow. "Tell me, what will you do if we can't get out of here?" He asked, starting to slur. "Will you find someone new? Or will remain single?" He asked, leaning towards her.

Shaza seemed to go silent for a while noting his act slowly starting to go down hill "I plan to find another mate if it seems I'll spend the rest of my life here. While my kind do not die of age.... too much stress can make it seem we age. Among other things that would normally a being. I'd run the clony as best I can and try to have it flourish. Maybe even some day have a defence measure against this places.... systems." she explained before sighing before looking at him "What about you?" she asked looking concerned "How much longer do you have?" she asked quietly

Dalnr shrugged and glanced up at the clutter of some wings before turning his attention back to Shaza. "He's the oldest of our clan and he's almost 150 years old. We don't really know the maximum life span because most die before they reach 80. Me it depends on the one who challenges me for leadership. When Defas was here it was assumed that he would rule the clan, that I would step down and let him take control. Now though, I don't have a son or a relative at all. Whoever tried to take the leadership will kill me so that there is no chance of me having a new child who could retake the position. In short my line ends when I am usurped.

Shaza looked at the table again seemingly in thought "Do you want your line to continue?" she asked looking right at him. "If you and your people allow it, we maybe able to.... recreate Defas, cloning is a bit of a concept we like to avoid but here it may prove helpful to you. We can't use this on our own kind thanks to our own adaption DNA being too erratic to effectively clone, but if we could get a sample of Defas's DNA we might be able to give you Defas, he'd need to be taught all over again, but he'd have the same basics the origanle had." she explained "There another way to continue your line, however it would take prep from both sides.... and right now is not the time to talk about it."

Dalnr's head snapped up and he looked at Shaza, his eyes large. "You could do that?" He asked. After a moment though, he seemed to deflate slightly. "No, I couldn't do that, it would be an abomination, souless. Defas has moved on to his next life, and trying to recreate him would be against all that we believe." He shook his head and took another drink. "I could look for a new mate I suppose." Dalnr said quietly. "I still have many years before start losing my strength to the point where I can't defeat challengers." He raised his head and looked at Shaza. "I cannot give up. Survival is for the worthy. I will show that I am worthy. My line will survive."

Shaza nodded smiling a bit glad to of helped with getting the will to fire up again. But he was getting a little erratic for her, possibly all those drinks he had. She looked at the fire and got an idea "This is met to be a celebration.... we've talked our lows, and now meds, but not any highs yet, is dancing allowed around the fire?" she asked suddenly. what better way to show that dispte the loss, they where still friends? Friends that where able to confide in each other? "I'm no expert but a know a few moves." she admitted
