Defas didn't even consider his actions when Varren was finished. Calling him out for being a bad hunter, warrior, and a coward was bad enough, but the jab at Shelna was enough for him to snap.

Instantly he was on Varren, tackling the wretch and clawing at him. Both his feet and his hands were used as weapons, both sets were razor sharp, and all were designed for a predator to use on prey. Defas did punch as well, aiming for the face and stomach, but mostly he just clawed at the object of his hatred. Finally he got ahold of a piece of the armor and began to pull, his muscles rippling as he tried to tear away the piece. His feet continued to claw away below, the claws seeking out spaces between plates and ripping into the flesh beneath.

Varren struggled but could not do much due to being smaller younger weaker and just plain out classed in almost all area's. Though when the face part of his helmet was ripped open he bite down on Defas's hand when it came down again biting as hard as he possible could.

It did not take lone though for Shaza to show up she ran up to the 2 and grabbed Defas neck and gave a sharp strong yank back as she grabbed Varren yanking him away as well. If Defas turned on her he would quickly find out why the females of the Shatong race where stronger. Once she had them both pinned to the floor she waited for them to both calm down. Clearly angry her self. Afterwards she let go of both and let them get up taking her strong hands off their necks. Varren had cuts all over him and his armor was almost everywhere but on him. "Alright, I don't care how or why this started, Defas, this is your last warning before I contact your father. Varren? You've lost your privileges of a weapon and armor till I say so. Now, both of you, get out of here and I want you 2 to work things out. If I find out either of you went at each other again. I will have both your heads. Defas I think we know what your father will do if he hears about this, Varren, as part of your punishment, you will not head to the medical place, you'll live with the consequences. Now both of you. OUT!" she ordered.

Defas snarled as he felt the hand on the back of his neck, already getting ready to rip into it. When he was slammed to the ground his first instinct was to struggle, but when he saw who it was he stopped. His eyes were still angry and his body was still tensed up in attack mode, but he didn't act on it, instead leaving without a word when Shaza told him to. He immediately turned and went to the river where he bathed again, getting the slime off of him and cleaning his clothes once more. After that he looked around and saw a good sized tree with leaves and branches like he needed. On his way to the tree he carefully scooped up the long strands of fiberous grass that grew there. When he had a huge armful, he finished his walk to the tree and set the bundle down before climbing the tree and drawing his knife. Once up he selected some branches and began to hack through them with the knife. It took a little bit, but when he had what he needed he began to collect leaves and let them fall to the ground.

Finally he jumped down and sat against the tree with the grass and began to weave it together. His fingers moved quickly and easily, but in his mind he stewed over what had happened. He knew he shouldn't have let himself be goaded like that, but he had been so angry, and that boy had said all the right things to make him angry.

As he stewed the weaving was progressing nicely, with a long strand of string being created and coiled in front of him. Finally he had enough, so he set the string down and began to create another, still thinking and not even looking at his work.

Varren left as well limping bleeding a bit but not too badly. "You and Defas are to work our your differences Varren. Don't return home until you both have." she said behind him. She was being very serious. She knew what Varren had done, she knew what Defas had done. But Defas had a death threat hanging over his head. Varren did not.

Varren eventually came to where Defas was threading grass. He came to a rest on a near by rock and sat on it in the sun so he could look off into the distance but also still see Defas. His cuts stung him more and he got up to limp to the water to clean him self a bit in the water.

Mean while a drone was launched and started to head right for the area Defas and Varren. Its bright light for an eye shining brightly

Defas studiously ignored Varren, instead choosing to focus on his braiding. He finally finished the three strands and began weaving these together into a much stronger rope. After another ten minutes or so this twenty plus feet of rope was done. He was still ignoring Varren, but he looked up at the sound that the drone made. He watched it, unsure of what he should do. Some in the clan had seen these things and had even tried to investigate, but none even got close. This one was heading his direction, which was odd according to what was said about the machines.

Defas stood, the rope still in his hand, and watched the drone get closer.

He didn't alert Varren, but did draw his knife just in case.

The drone continued to approach. After a little Varren looked up at the noise as well and wondered what was coming closer. He limped out of the water and narrowed his eye's to get a better look. He looked at Defas as he seemed ready to fight.

Not that the drone cared Defas would not be able to think of scratching it. It came to a stop above them before if fired at Varren first. The shot hit him with in a nano second before it fired another shot at Defas, both shots where disabling shots paralizing the 2 before it collected them in a energy bubble before taking off. It flew for a while alike this leaving the 2 races territory's and going a long ways away, a good couple of days of travel just to get back to either home. It came to a stop and dropped them the paralizing effect no longer on now "Commence test. Goal: Get to your kinds area's. Drive: disaster of flood followed by fire. Both must survive or test void. Begin." it said in a deep metallic voice before taking off just like that.

Varren groaned and slowly sat up "Now what?"

Defas tried to dodge the attack, but failed and was picked up by the drone. He continued to try and struggle even when it became obvious that his limbs weren't moving. The minute they were dropped though, he was up and yelling at the drone in anger, shaking his fists and demanding a fight.

Finally he gave up and looked around, noting Varren on the ground. It seemed to be a forest of sorts, hot, with tall trees around and dried leaves around. He looked back the way the drone had brought them, then looked up as a flock of birds flew by.

Varrens question was stupid of course, so he ignored it, instead beginning he walk. He knew it was going to be a long walk, and it was best to get started before the day was out. He kept a careful eye out for tracks, signs of wildlife, water, and most importantly the direction they were heading. It wouldn't do for him to get lost, as doing so would mean death eventually.

He didn't bother to check on Varren, especially after what the weakling had said, instead he just walked, stopping only to grab a long and straight branch which was on the ground. He tested it for weight and strength, then determining that it was just right, he began walking, pulling out his knife and removing the bark in two spots where he could hold it and use it as a walking stick or a weapon. As he walked he thought about what Shaza would think of their disappearance. It was at this point that he stopped. If he returned without her son, he would be accused of murdering the boy. That meant that he had to keep Varren alive, which also meant that he couldn't ignore him.

Defas turned and looked back, checking on Varrens location before walking over.

"If it weren't for the fact that I need you to come back with me, I would leave you out here to do." He said, his tone conveying all his hate and anger. "You will do as I say at all times. Do that and you'll survive. Any questions?" He hissed, his eyes narrowed in anger.

Varren was slowly getting up when Defas just left. That ordeal did not do him much better being stunned then dropped. Defas had yelled at the drone though it did not seem to even hear him. After Defas left he started to limp towards where he though home was. If Defas had just stayed where he was and left him alone none of this would have happened, but no the thing had to demand answers acting like he belonged to them. At least he was able to have the creature along for the troubles. Met he could take more jabs at Defas.

To his suprize the guy came back. "Same goes for you." he muttered to the left for dead part. He narrowed his own eye's and seemed to emit a low growl "And what am I to do when someone decided to injure me?" he said wondering why Defas was not killing him right now. Nothing was stopping him now or that Varren knew. He was too young to know yet of the result it would lead too back home.

Shaza shot across the land with a small team to where they saw the drone come to a stop, they heard shots, then it was gone. She came to a stop and her helmet opened up as she looked around frantically. Varren's scent just ended here, his the strongest due to some bleeding. Defas came to a abrupt stop as well. No other scents. She grabbed the communicator "This is Shaza of the the Shatong colony, I request the presents of Dalnr right away." she said.

Defas looked at the boys legs and smiled a little. They were a mess, scratches all over where Defas had dug his claws in, and obviously quite painful. He knew that Varren had just washed them, so he wasn't concerned about infection. No he just wanted the kid to walk, and Varren didn't seem to be keen on the idea. Snarling to himself Defas looked around at the surrounding foliage before crouching and digging his finger into the earth. It was extremely dry, which meant it didn't rain much and there probably wasn't a river or pond nearby. Finally he looked down at himself and removed his shirt. This he tore into strips before going over to the boy and sitting next to him. He roughly took ahold of Varrens leg and began to use the strips to cover the scratches. His clothes were still set, so it also acted as a cooling sensation. Before finishing he looked at the wounds inflicted and shrugged. They would heal in within a week as they weren't all that deep.

After he finished he stood and went to a nearby tree. He assessed the branches before jumping up and grabbing one. This he broke off before jumping down. He removed the leaves and smaller sticks then handed the branch to Varren. It was a decent length and had a fork at top.

"Use it as a crutch." He said before standing and waiting for Varren.

Varren at first backed up when Defas came over after tearing up his shirt and sitting down next to him. He did not have much choise as Defas grabbed his leg and began to cover his cuts with them. He looked at Defas then at what he was doing looking a little confused. Why was he helping him? This was a 180. Afterwards he got back up thought he cool cloth soothing on the cuts. He hesitated at first before taking the stick and looking at it "Crutch?" he asked his face showing a blank look of simply not knowing what that was. though he seemed to be trying it out till it ended up in his arm pit and he seemed to realize it was suppost to work like that. He looked at Defas still not trusting but his young eye's did not have as much of the look they had back at the spawning pool. "Thanks...." he muttered.

Defas just nodded at the thanks, still maintaining his anger. The boy had said things that could not be forgiven so easily, especially the part about Shelna. He stood and looked up at the sun, then in the direction that the drone had brought them from.

"South." He muttered to himself, beginning to walk. He stayed at a steady pace that was slow enough for Varren to keep up with, but fast enough that they would still make headway.

As they walked Defas's head was constantly moving his eyes focusing on this and that while his ears were twitching at the sounds around them. He stopped at different places seemingly at random and picked up things, rocks, sticks, leaves... He would always squat and fiddle with them, testing the strength before either throwing them away or tucking them into his belts pouches. The day passed this way until Defas suddenly stopped, his body going perfectly still as the wind whistled and the birds chirped, nothing seemingly out of the ordinary. Defas looked around his senses going wild, but he couldn't tell what was wrong. There weren't any tracks, there wasn't any impacted brush to suggest something had gone anywhere. Though he hated to admit it, he was out of his element. This wasn't the swamp, and he had no idea what lived here. Finally he began to move again, staying as quiet as possible in the hopes that whatever was here wouldn't be interested.

Almost an hour had passed since he had first froze and Defas was beginning to think it was nothing. After all, what predator would wait this long? It knew where they were, which way they were facing and there was an obviously easy kill behind Defas. He continued on, his senses still going crazy, but he was ignoring them.

Suddenly he felt the breeze change slightly bringing a cool waft of air over his skin. Instantly Defas turned and headed against the wind, knowing what the temperature drop probably meant. A few minutes later and a pool came into view. Defas made sure Varren was still with him, then went and bent for a drink. That was when the thing attacked. It was about seven feet long from nose to tail, and about five and a half feet tall. It was built for killing, that much was certain, and by the size of it Defas guessed that it was a solitary animal. The animal seemed to just appear from nowhere, its snarl the only thing giving away its presence as it pounced on Defas, its teeth snapping at him even as Defas pushed it back with his feet. The creature seemed to have a carapace though, which kept him from doing any damage to it. The beast began to claw at Defas as well, which tore into his fur and left bloody streaks there. Defas finally managed to get ahold of his knife and activate it, the blue energy sizzling as it waited to be used.

Defas sliced one of the beasts claws and was rewarded with a howl of pain, but instead of backing off, the creature instead got ahold of Defas's wrist and bit down, causing him to drop the knife which the beast kicked away.

Defas was screwed now and he knew it. His energy was failing and he was without an effective weapon.

Varren hobbled after him with nothing else to do but ignore stings from his cuts and try to keep up while using a stick to help support his weight. He paused when Defas froze and looked around. His chemical IFF said something was around but too young to register it was a foe. Time went by and nothing happened as they went. A uneasy silence between them at least Varren was not making jabs at Defas.

They got to a water source the other thing on his chemical IFF still there following them but he still did not know what it was going to do as soon as Defas drank.

When it attacked Varren froze eye's wide. The thing was larger them and over power Defas quickly. Defas did get his weapon out but it was knocked away from him shortly after he got a blow in. Varren had killed other creatures before, wild ones, but always at range never at point blank. in Melee. He swallowed and ditched the crutch and came over. How hard could it be? Its just..... far closer. He picked up the blade shaking fumbled to turn it on and went to stab it where an eye seemed to be.

Defas meanwhile had his fangs bared as he held back the creature, his hind legs clawing away at its stomach. This seemed to be a weaker spot as the exoskeleton was chipping there and he began to feel his claws hitting flesh beneath. This just seemed to anger the beast more however, and it redoubled its efforts to kill Defas. The creature reared up suddenly, its eyes still fixed on Defas before focusing all its strength and weight into its paws, which came hammering down towards Defas's head.

Defas managed to roll out of the way and get underneath the beast, latching onto its belly with an iron grip and beginning to rip into it with his claws. The beast immediately went to lay down, forcing Defas to roll out from under it, out into the open where it could again pounce on him. Defas managed to grab a rock and forced it down the beasts throat with a fist, causing the beast to choke and pull back, leaving large gashes in Defas arm.

He jumped up though and charged the beast, jumping up onto its back and grabbing ahold of its head which he began to attack, focusing on its eyes. This didn't last long however as the beast threw him with ease and was back on top within seconds.

Defas was to busy to notice where Varren was or even consider the others location, instead focusing on the fight, attempting to either drive it off or kill it, neither of which seemed likely.

It took a few minutes before Dalnr's voice came over the comm, and when it did it seemed tired.

"Dalnr here, I assume Defas did something incredibly stupid?" Dalnr asked. "If he did then tell him he's no longer welcome here. Shelna will be wed to another more worthy candidate. You shouldn't let him stay with you either. You've seen what he's like."

Varren relaized that after he tried to stab it was not working. He simply lacked the needed strength to harm it. Even with the weapon. Then he got an idea. Who knows how this would end up but he suddenly turned to a puddle of pink slime and shot onto the beasts leg starting to cover it up the leg and onto the body. If he could at least scare the living day lights out of it then ok, it would be a very thin layer to even bother to attempt a mimic of this huge beast. Though the cuts would still be all over him so even if he did he'd be a gimped version of the beast.

All the movement and Varren's lack of training in this though made it very hard from him to get past a leg and the best. So he tried anther tack. Covering and trying to invade the eye's and mouth. In slime mode while he would not heal or be healed Shatong where very hard to hurt in slime form. He got the to the beasts head and started to try to forcefully enter the creatures head through the eye's.

Shaza shook her head "Negative. Both my son and yours scents stop where I am, earlier we spotted one of the drones close by the colony, we fear it might of.... taken our sons." she said "It flew north at alarming speeds to who knows where. Long range sensors though have picked up change happening towards the north but a long distance away. But we don't know if it made any turns either after it left our sight." she explained.

The beast on top of Defas responded immediately to Varrens presence, rearing and scratching at itself to try and dislodge the slime which had begun to attack it. The animal, now ignoring Defas completely, shook its head angrily as Defas looked around for his knife. He spotted it a few feet away where Varren had dropped it, then stood unsteadily and limped to it.

With the knife in his grasp, Defas looked at the beast and, ignoring the hurts that ran through him, jumped onto its back. He held on for dear life, his legs locked on around its neck, and his hands reaching around to its eyes. When he found them he raised his knife high and used all his strength to drive it home.

The beast didn't even shriek with pain so quickly did the knife enter its brain. It just collapsed and slumped over, causing Defas to roll off and to the side. There he finally fell unconcious, his breathing short and rapid as his body worked to repair itself.

he was a mess to say the least, his arms, legs and face were covered in claw marks, gashes, scrapes and the like where he had held it off, but his chest was the worst. Across it were three long claw marks, each deep and raged where the beast had slashed him at the beginning of the encounter.

Dalnr cursed over the comm and you could hear him shouting in the background.

"Alright, I'm on my way with five of my best trackers. Maybe they'll find something. Permission requested to bring weapons."

Varren struggled to now flung off the beast as it scratched and swung its head around to dislodge him. After Defas gave the killing blow he more or less just fell off with a splat before slowly reforming. Once he was reformed he looked very tired him self. He noticed Defas on the ground covered in gashes and scrapes and more. He sighed.... now who was at who's mercy? He could just leave him, or just take the knife and kill him right now. But then again..... Defas did have a similar option before too.... and he did not take it. Varren looked at the alien before limping over to where the sloth had fallen off him and picked up the stuff and went over to Defas. He tried to replicate how Defas had done it, stop the bleeding and cover the would to prevent infection. After he had used up the cloth on the worst area's he sighed and sat down the form changing taking a lot out of him.....

Shaza nodded "Permission granted." she said as her team continued to look for signs of a struggle or anything.

Defas was out for about an hour before waking, his body going to sleep in order to repair the damage done. The race Defas belonged to had very strong bodies, built to withstand a lot of punishment and to heal quickly. That didn't mean that the wounds just healed instantly, just that what would take a month to heal for another race would take about two to tree weeks instead. The wounds had clotted quickly, stopping the blood from flowing anymore, so all that was left were the gashes themselves.

Defas groaned as he sat up, putting a hand to his head and wincing as his arm moved. "Probably a fracture of some sort." He thought to himself. Looking around at the beast and wincing at the pain the wounds as he twisted.

He had done it, he had killed the beast, but not by himself. It couldn't have been. He remembered the thing just going wild suddenly.

"Slime." He murmured, looking around at Varren. "You made slime attack it." He frowned, trying to figure out things for himself. Finally he decided that it didn't matter. He stood as best he could, then limped over to Varren and picked the boy up by the shoulders before pulling him over to the beast. Defas retrieved the knife, which came out with a sucking sound followed by a pop and held it up for Varren to see. Then he turned and went to the beasts mouth where he sawed into its jaws, removing one of the huge fangs. He went to Varren and gave it to him, speaking a long series of words in his own language. He then turned again and raised the knife, slitting open the monsters side. Blood a dither unpleasant things spilled out, but Defas didn't seem to care. Instead he cupped a hand and gathered blood inside. After that he turned and held Varren tight by the shoulder as he began to draw lines and other designs on the boy with the blood. It took a few minutes, but soon Varren was covered with intricate designs. Defas chanted more words from his language before turning to the beast and beginning to saw into it with his knife, separating large chunks of meat for dinner, ignoring what had just happened.

Dalnr arrived about three hours after the comm message with five others in tow behind him. He barked an order in his language, causing them to spread over the area and beginning to look at the ground.

"A drone hmm?" Dalnr asked, removing his helmet and leaving his breathing mask so that Shaza could see his face. "We've only heard rumors of them. Some of our people have seen them, but they always keep a distance. I wonder what changed." He said, glancing at Shaza.

Varren did not wake till till after Defas spoke to him. He grew alarmed when Defas grabbed his shoulders and started to move him towards the beast. He watched as Defas pulled the knife out and wondered why he was being shown the blade. When a large fang was removed he was given it as well along with a..... chant of words none of them he understood. He had this blank confused look to his face. Then Defas slit the beast open and he gagged a little trying to hold it in. He had never seen such before and it did not sit well with his gut. Then Defas grabbed his shoulder again and began to draw on him with the blood. He just watched unsure of what was going on. They fought a beast, killed it, was shown the knife, given a fang, chanted over, drawn on, and chanted over again. Before he went to sawing at the beasts gut getting chunks of the meat out.

"Defas..... what... was that?" he asked sounding as unsure as he was. he held the fang not sure what to do with it.

Shaza shook her head "We've seen a few in the distance before but never any this close, and never involving kid napping." she said lookin in the sky before looking at him "I'm going to send out a search party. they will go north, I think it would be fitting that the search party has a combo of out 2 peoples. Both out sons are missing, I think it would help increase relations and help us learn about each other." she said

"Sretnii." Defas said, as though this answered everything. He continued to cut but finally rolled his eyes and continued to cut.

"First rite." He continued, starting to skin the beast now. "You helped kill the beast. Your first hunt. You did not kill it but you helped, which is just as honorable." He finished quickly before going to the nearby pond. He quickly filled a pair of bottles on his belt then turned and retrieved the two hunks of meat and the skin.

"We need to move. The scavengers will be here soon, as well as the predators. Even if this is that things territory, the smell will attract more who hope to take over its grounds." Defas explained, turning and heading in the direction if home. He was not in good shape, anyone could see it, but he was still stubborn as ever and refused help. Finally after an hours walking of so, during which he went out of his way to cover their trail and scents with different things from his belt, he declared a stop. He quickly gathered wood and dug a small pit where he started a fire. A few minutes later and the meat was cooking over it and the skin was stretched between two trees.

"You are on the path now." Defas said suddenly. "The hunters path. There are a lot of ways to go on the path, a lot of different ends. You get to decide which way you go. No one else can help you. I don't think you'll continue though. The only reason I did the rite was because its expected of me. You will fall off the path and go back to your little life of comfort. Just forget what happened." He growled, staring into the fire again.

Varren looked at Defas with a look of such confusion when he said that word that it would look like you just said the universes longest pointless word. When it was explained after a few moments he slowly nodded. Apparently turning to slime and distracting it was... honorable? Before he could say much though Defas was up and moving saying they had to move. He limped after Defas looking around. Picking up other creatures on the IFF but not knowing if they where friend or foe.

When they made the camp fire and Defas finished telling him more or less, that he entered a path, but due to most likely not following it, to just forget it happened. "What tells you I liked lounging around? I did not have armor to just play in." he said before sighing and laying down. After a while he looked at Defas "What would you say...... if I told you I could..... copy that creatures form?" he asked suddenly "That..... that slime.... was me....." he said quietly.

Defas smiled a little at Varrens words. "Nice thing about having four eyes, you can see a lot. I know you were the slime. I don't know why I expected differently, especially after seeing where you live. Who are you kidding though? Changing shapes, sounds like a lie to get me to think you stronger. Nothing can change its shape to something else. I have seen a lot of different animals, some that slither, glide, stomp, walk and anything else you can think of. Some fit in tight places, some don't even have bones. They can get into any spot with ease. That is as close as anything comes to changing its shape. Now stop lying and listen for once. You want to know what the second rite is? You would first go out and follow three different beasts, each for three days without being discovered. You would learn their ways, watch their habits. At the end of each set of three days, you would take something from each animal, a snatch of fur, something similar. Then you would bring the three back and present them to the tribe. After that comes the difficult part. You are taken to the edge of the village and placed in a box, small enough that you cannot stand up or lay down. Inside is a small bowl full of incense. You place one sample of an animal in the bowl and light it. For a full two days you meditate on the animal and what you learned from it. At the end of the two days you are given a drink of water and more incense through a small opening in the top of the box. No words are spoken to you. You do the same thing two more times, once for each animal you followed. At the end of this time, you are given a final drink of water and new bowl full of a different incense. Nobody but the hunt masters know what is in it, but when you light it, you disappear from this world and enter another. You see a vision of something, what differs for everyone, but it is always a help in guiding your life. As I said though, you would not make it through. You would be better off going back to comfort."

Dalnr nodded and shouted a command to the trackers. They came over and he spoke swiftly in his own language to them. They all growled their understanding, then stood waiting for their tes to arrive.

"They will help in any way they can. I chose them because they are completely neutral to your race, which will make this easier for everyone. Now, lets get going."

Varren looked at Defas "I can, my whole race can.... watch." he said looking around for a suitible item and eventually decided on the fang. He turned to the pink slime again and encased the fang before slowly taking on the color of the fang and shape before starting to serparate showing now what looked like 2 identical fangs now. Though the one Varren was soon broke down and he went back to default form panting a little "Just takes... a lot out of us that are not trained yet." he said "Bet you once I'm trained, you would not be able to track me or any of my race if we set out minds to it. You could not be able to tell us apart from everything around." he said "But then again, seems you just don't want the competition. You tell me all about it then say to not bother." he said.

Shaza nodded before speaking to her own team. They nodded looking at the other race. Shaza came back over to Dalnr. "Alright, remember, Defas and Varren. Find either or, ask about the other if there not around and return. Simple as that, Dismissed." she said with a wave of her hand and the team shot off towards the north. She looked at Dalnr "I apologis. You gave me your son to take care of for a week and this happens." she admitted "If you want combinsation, name it and I'll see what we can do."

Defas glared at Varren from across the fire but didn't give him the pleasure of an answer. Instead he poked the meat, checking how well it had been cooked before sitting back.

"Fine, you change your shape, but don't even blame me fore telling you about the rite. You asked, I told. Then I told you that I don't think you can do it. Actually I take that back, I know you can't do it. You would give up after day two at most. Blistering heat, no food, no water, just thinking for seven days? No, you wouldn't get through it, you wouldn't even understand it. Now forget the whole thing." He said angrily, poking the meat again.

Dalnr shook his head and watched the teams spread out. "It wasn't your fault. You didn't bring the drone here to get them, I doubt you made them come and sit out here. From what I see my son was making a sleeping cot of some kind, although the rope or string that he would need is missing." Dalnr said, gesturing to the nearby tree. "I don't even have to look to figure out that he was angry. Not surprising in of itself, but I would assume that since your son was out here with him the two had an argument or fight. Again, not your fault they were out here." He smiled in his helmet and looked off to the distance in the direction the hunters had headed. "Shall we?" He asked."

Varren got his eye's narrowed "Bet you I could. Your just too afraid of the competition." he said folding his arms with a look of rebellion "Who's to say I can't when I haven't been given the chance?" he asked before sitting down on the other side. His reptilian looking at the meat. He looked at the Fang then looked at the marking that had stayed drawn on him "You think me to be weak and stupid don't you." he suddenly said.

Shaza nodded her helmet covering her head again "Lets get our sons back." she said before taking off her powerful legs propelling her with her tail helping keep balance when she had to jump or turn.

(It looks good, gives a very good picture of the race.)

Defas's ears laid down as he got angry right back at Varren, his eyes flashing.

"You're not competition to me, you're barely even close to me. I can outrun, out jump, and out anything that you can do that matters."

Defas turned the meat as he sat there in silence, listening to Varren shift around. He could smell the meat cooking, see the juices flowing, and hear the cr-.

He stopped when Varren spoke up again and turned his attention back across the pit.

"I-" Defas didn't know how to answer. His people didn't ask those kinds of questions, they just knew. If one had a problem with another, they solved it either in a fight or before the council, then went their seperate ways. It was an easy form of government because the fighting never got out of hand. All fights were resolved in a pit and was strictly judged to keep death from occurring.

"I-" He closed his mouth, then shrugged. "I think you are stupid at least." He said. "Weak... Mentally yes, physically, you are lacking skills and abilities, but you are strong in sheer strength, I will admit." He said grudgingly, obviously not happy about having to admit such a thing. "You are stupid because you don't think, you don't consider the consequences for anything. You couldn't just answer simple questions, you keep bringing up things and taunting, and if your mother hadn't pulled me off of you when she did, you would be dead and your skin a new cloak for the things you said about Shelna."

Dalnr took off as well, catching up and keeping pace as he ran alongside Shaza, keeping an eye out for any sign of his son or Varren. There was nothing though, just into her wilderness filled with animals and trees. After almost an hour of running, Dalnr stopped and looked around. He was panting slightly, but seemed to be in pretty good shape considering. He took out a bottle of water and drank, then offered a sip to Shaza.

"I don't know what to do." He said suddenly. "A bird you can track based on its behavior, where it likes to nest and things like that, but this drone, I don't know how to hunt it. It serves to carry out functions, but they aren't natural. It doesn't want food or water, it just does its duties, and I have no idea what those might be at all. Unless you have a better plan, all we can do is climb a tree now and then, look for signs, then keep running." He said, already heading towards a tree, but waiting until Shaza said something.
