well, the frost dragons would fit nicely into the lineage. their descriptions are perfect for it. the Falconiform_Wyvern not so much in my opinion... however, they are gorgeous so i wouldn't mind them being a part of it.

 

and... still no eggs to share but i'll keep trying.

Sounds good to me, mandrakekeeper! I'm also leaning towards the Frostbite dragon addition. I also think I'd like to add Coppers to the lineage. For some reason, thought I already had. Welcome to discuss any other opinions on other breeds to add or not. Thanks!

I love the Falconiform Wyvern. It reminds me of the black of night with the blue being icicles hanging from a roof's eaves.

Thanks for giving the Gold egg a great home, mandrakekeeper! And thanks for the feedback with the dragon breeds. I agree, whitestar - the wings do look like blue icicles! The colorschemes of both dragons are great, too and would look gorgeous with some of the other approved breeds (e.g., Nebula). I'll have a think about both breeds' 'places' in the storyline, and update the front page with their roles.

 

EDIT: Just while on topic, I absolutely LOVE how the Frosbite dragons look when paired with the Winter Solstice: swoooon.

I am late to the party, I was going to suggest adding frostbite dragons to the lineage but I am slow. Here is my example of how well they look with Solstice dragons.

 

I'd say copper dragons would be a fit, the few coppers that Scrooge was paying poor Cratchit. Lineage example. Hadn't really considered falconiform, blue flaming dragons sound more like swamp gas manifestations. Guess I was lumping them more with hellhorses as silly fanciful things, but I wouldn't put up a fuss if other people want to include them.

 

I am slow getting names for dragons, here are my 2013 release girls. I wasn't planning to put a name on (ATONe) as I thought her code was cool and fitting. Solstice Magik's code was the inspiration of her name and spelling of magic but not good enough to stand alone as a code name. (I tried! Spent quite a bit of time trying to get good name code christmas dragons. )

Hi, folks! Thanks so much for updating with your latest additions, whitestar and Dracaena (love the code for ATONe!). I've added your dragons to your registration on the first page. I'll update the front page with the newest breed addition - I'm leaning toward just adding the Frostbite and Copper dragons at this time.

 

Dracaena, that's one gorgeous Gold egg! I hope it finds a good home with a member here. If not, and you don't want it to go unwanted, I'll happily give it a home (only if no one else claims it and you want it off your scroll). Might make a nice mate with One Rose.

 

Another few new breeds to consider...

Since DC's amazing 8th birthday, what do you think of adding Guardian of Nature plus their Avatar offspring (provided they're bred with the acceptable breeds listed on page 1)? I think the GoNs and Avatars would be pretty neat introductions to the ethereal realm visited by Scrooge - moreso the moods of each scene, rather than the spectres or any physically manifested element. Open to discussion on these plus any other breeds of interest that would fit with the project. Thanks!

woohoo! i'm finally one more step closer to getting a working pair for a 7th EG stripe egg with all of the Christmas dragons (except for last years) in the beginning row.

I'm completely bummed!!! I double checked to make sure my new egg was compatiable to my 6th gen dragon and they are not! they share a freakin' dragon in their history. I thought I was being so careful. I want to cry. At least it is only one dragon so I just need to redo my tri-colored section and rebuild up to the 6th gen again. hopefully it won't take too long.

Aw, mandrakekeeper, I'm sorry to hear this! Just let me know if there's any way I can help you rebuild the tri-colored section. Such a sneaky dragon...! Don't let it get you down too much, I know you've put in a ton of work and it's seriously paying off. I'm honestly impressed with how you've built up the lovely lineage up to here, and know you'll make a fantastic one once the new mate is ready. If no one else claims it, I'd love to give that egg a new home with me. It'll be well-loved.
