Posted October 20, 2015 Helix, I like the pyro x hellhorse, that is pretty neat. Not something I would have thought of. I have a real fascination with mixing the dragons that have mulitple outcomes, but I'm pretty bad at thinking of them/ figuring them out. So I like to admire them when I see them. OMG lunar heralds x shadow walkers look great! I'm wondering about red gemshards x marrow, too. And I saw green nebulas x cavern lurkers last year and wow that is awesome. Posted October 21, 2015 Don't know if it's just me, but Tinsels and Shimmers produce shinies like crazy just before Halloween. Last year I bred some pretty things in the last possible minute before the holiday. In the last week I got 4/4 shinies from prize checkers. For 4 weeks now I have been trying to breed a 3rd Gen PB Olive as a mate for her http://dragcave.net/lineage/EXOcn I have two pairs I can breed with, but they always give me no egg. I have another try tomorrow with one pair, but if again I get no egg, she's mate-less for this year's Halloween breeding. I really want this lineage to continue... So is there anybody who could try for a 3rd Gen as well (And yes, I know I left it til rather late to try, but who thought they'd be hard to get...) Posted October 24, 2015 Hi! I've been looking for a place I could ask for your opinions on this and this seemed like the best place. What are your favorite mates for Shadow Walkers and Pumpkins? I think Shadow Walkers look really, really pretty with green coppers in their lineage. Silvers look nice too. But what about Pumpkins? Which pygmy do you think looks prettiest as a mate for a Pumpkin? I also was wondering if anyone is going to breed 2nd gen female desipis/male colussus, and would like to swap 1-2 2nd gen desipis? I was thinking I have 4 pairs, but if I get refusals it could make it tough. Out of the 4 pairs I will need 2 desipis and 2 colossus, and so with a swap I have more change to re-breed colossus later on. I am not doing much breeding, but that's one I will give a try to get a start on. I will also be breeding male gold with female graves. I have several pair, figured I'd breed them all and then breed again for golds later. Who knows, maybe a different green/black dragon will come out that you can use instead of the the Gaia? I have only one real project I'm working on. I kind of forgot to do some necessary breeding for a Halloween checker I wanted to do. Oh well, it happens. At least, my shadow walker X guardian checker is progressing like it should. Next year will bring it out to 5th gen and then I'm out of dragons to continue it. I may attempt to trade for some 2nd gen shadow walkers in a day or two. Most of my CB Halloween dragons haven't been bred yet. Here's to hoping that the shadow walker I traded for will gender correctly. A rather eclectic mix but it appeals to me. Posted October 29, 2015 <3 If I recall correctly, Piemaster has an insane number of alt desipis. I traded for another one for a 2g from Metal. Now, maybe instead of the purebred I can add in another one with alt green parents. And Luckily it was from someone I know on the forum, so hopefully Metal will be considerate and give me an egg. She's well overdue as it is. If there ends up being a black green Halloween dragon I'll either be blissfully happy or bummed as I can finish the lineage without anymore Holidays as is. But a new dragon would make me wait awhile. As far as other checkers like your guardian. I used to try to trade for bloodswaps on Halloween. I figured that meant I could just breed my scroll all year for the common mate. But I had trouble this year and ended up breeding several from my scroll. Given the limited amount of time to get so many Halloween dragons, I was feeling the pressure to Get Er Done, so to speak. Share this post Link to post
