Posted August 12, 2011 (edited) This rp is run by LoveLost and I. we have an ooc thread where the ooc discussions go as well as new chars and here's the link for that: X-Men: The End OOC thread History: The year is 2015 and the world seems to be falling apart. The X-men are disbanded as well as Magneto's band of evil mutants. However, instead of fighting each other now all mutants are running rampant throughout the city. They are killing, robbing, and even kidnapping people much like the normal humans of the day. With the mutants using their abilities to do the wrongs that they wish, they easily forget the history that their kin has. The X-men have found themselves with two leaders who are new to it since Logan and Storm had to drop out because of various injuries, Logan's injuries being psychological ones instead of physical since he could heal. Nick and Riley are now the current leaders and are trying to do their best to figure out someway to keep order as well as keep people alive instead of dead. The police hunt them down every day even though they try to help them out. With the leadership of Nick and Riley, the X-men have found a new home since their old school was burned down in a riot that the humans had. Their new home is now Boston, Massachusetts. Plot: There was a time when the X-men were needed and revered. But now without Magneto there to keep the violence raging, more and more mutants are being thrown into jail for no apparent reason. They are now considered to be villains no matter what! However, there are a few that are finding their way around their abilities to be able to live in society. When they find another of their kind, they are still wary because those that have been captured have also been promised freedom in return for finding two more mutants. At this moment, even the X-men are having a hard time finding refuge. With the school in ruins, literally, and most of the leadership gone, who will find a way to reunite humans and mutants? Info about Powers/Mutants (for those of us that don't know or understand what mutants are and what their powers can be): A mutant is someone who possesses a genetic trait called an X-gene that allows the mutant to naturally develop superhuman powers and abilities. Mutants are born with the genetic potential to possess their powers which usually originate after puberty unlike a few comic book characters such as Hulk, Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, and Absorbing Man who got their abilities and powers from outside exposure to stimuli or other energies. His hair isn't naturally white, he dyes it to be that way. His skin is a slightly tanned color and he stands at 6'2. his shoulders are broad as well and he is evenly muscled. Personality: Nicandro is a rather kind person unless dealing with mutants that go against authority. He deals with them harshly until they earn the right to be respected. History: Rp'ed out (dragon and I know ) Powers/Abilities: Earth control as well as telepathic communication Crush (optional): Riley Other: n/a Username: LL Name: Moira Fain Age: 18 Gender: female Appearance (picture or description): Moira is a typical Irish woman. However, she isn’t tiny like many of them are. Her hair is a slightly mellowed red kind of like Anne of Green Gables’ hair, but longer. She almost always keeps it tied up in a high ponytail with a dark green ribbon. Her eyes are a bright green that area almost always shining with good will, but can turn ice cold if someone makes her mad. With the Irish blood, also comes a tendency to be pale skinned, but Moira was blessed to have a skin tone that is halfway between pale and tan. Her body type is a typical curvy hourglass, however, she looks slightly overweight in her arms and legs, but this is not to fool anyone. She can be both pessimistic when she is alone, or optimistic when others seem to be panicking. She likes to have things just so and is very anal about that. When she is at work, she has to have her pens aligned just so which makes people think that she is OCD, but it is just because she likes to have things perfect when she herself is not. Moira is almost always down about her body, but doesn’t let people know it. History : Moira was born in Ireland to the Fain family and grew up there until she was 13. After that, her family decided to move to try the American dream but found everything in shambles and a government that was unwilling to accept how unique their daughter was. By the time that Moira was 16 she left her home to keep her family from being prosecuted and decided to find the underground operations of the X-men. She doesn’t really stick with them all of the time and sometimes goes rogue which infuriates Nicandro. Powers/Abilities: 1) The ability of Technopathy is one of her favorite abilities. She often just surfs the waves of cell phones and the internet without even having to touch them or use a computer. (Like Alphas) 2) Morphing: Moira can morph into the way another human being looks but finds this to be rather hard over long periods of time. To consistently stay in another form, she has to change forms every ten minutes. 3) Night vision: Moira can see easily in the dark and can actually see things like it is daytime at night. Luckily for her, she can control this power so that it doesn’t blind her during the day. 4) Elemental Transmutation: can change chemical elements. 5) Plant Manipulation: this is her strongest ability over all. She can grow massive trees in the middle of town and can send poisoned thorns into another’s body. Limits are there, but she has yet to meet them. She tends to be the most helpful assistant to Moira and is almost always working on something when she isn't there. Aaus - Moira's constant companion and the quietest of the group. He doesn't speak like the others do because he chose programming that wouldn't allow him to be that way. But despite al the inhibitors on him, he has developed a warm hearted, polite personality. Ichigo - Is kinda like Nerissa just impatient and only takes orders directly from Moira. He hates that Aaus is the only one that gets to go out with her and envies both Renji and Aaus because of their forms. He gets along with Renji, but they are often found arguing. Renji - Renji is like Moira all the way. Rough around the edges, but with a soft nugaty center! He adores Nerissa and tends to almost always be at odds with Ichigo, however they fight really well together and would never sell one another out. However she is also very conscious of her lifetime friend, Jason and knows that he is the only person to ever make her smile. That being said, the only other time that Ziva smiles, is when she is killing and at that time it is a dark, gruesome smile to strike fear into her enemies, or people who just annoy her. When not killing, Ziva is mainly unemotional to everyone and speaks in silky tones that could either seduce, or make chills run down your back (although she does tend to show quiet anger through a hiss or angry yowl). However, to Jason, Ziva shows many ranges of emotion from righteous anger, sadness, happiness, and love. History : Ziva’s life began in a hard home then she was abandoned to live on the streets where she lived as best she could on whatever she could. When she couldn’t find food that was easy to get to, Ziva transformed into her cat form and ate trash which often caused her to throw up because of having to shift back into her human form. Because of this, Ziva was incredibly emaciated and sick when SHIELD found her in the slums trying to live on her own and trying to somehow stay alive despite all of the sicknesses that racked her body. When SHIELD told her what they did, she refused several times until finally, she lay on her death bed and they told her that they would let her live if she said yes. The young girl was only seven at the time. From that point on, SHIELD knew that by age thirteen, Ziva would be at her full height, weight, and looks because of how she was almost exactly like a cat. She was nourished and fed as much as she would eat until she was the right weight and then after that, the training began. This training wasn’t training though, it was torture. Ziva was trained in Brazillian Martial Arts, SEAL level hand-to-hand combat as well as other forms of combat that utilized her advanced agility and claws. However, while training, if any move was done incorrectly, she would be whipped, not given food, and even forced to walk in front of many other without her clothes on. It was humiliating, however SHIELD completely turned her shame, into something to be used against men that had been their enemies. After three years of intense training and totally break down of all emotional barriers, Ziva became their top operative. She was a stealthy killer, an assassin if you will, with the capabilities of intense one-on-one, or multiple people, battles and she came out without a scratch, most of the time. She used her body, which was the perfect figure, to get in close with her victims as were her orders to keep her emotional status at bay. By her seventh full fledged year at SHIELD, Ziva had killed more that one hundred and fifty mutants. She had been tracking a particular mutant, Jason Pride, for more than a week which was rare for her when she was assigned to an enemy and the day finally came when they actually fought each other. Faline, as was her codename, fought him with some difficulty because of his abilities, and when she thought that she couldn’t last another hour, the man stopped and stabbed his sword into his body. At first, she thought that she was the one who had won, but then found herself sucked into another world that was completely different than the one that she knew. In that world, she suddenly felt like she could finally say everything that had been pent up and she did. Into this man’s mind, she released everything she thought about herself, everything she was, gushed out like a fountain that had been waiting to be released for years, and indeed it had. Her self-loathing for what she did, the fact that she thought of herself as ugly and hated how she was forced to use her body, even the dreams she once had for freedom and a better life, all but crushed. By this point she didn’t even know what a better life was, she’d lost virtually all hope, having no reason to exist other than following orders that she wished she didn’t have to follow. By the time that it was finished, she felt like her body had been through days of strenuous training and she all but fainted and found herself in the strong arms of the man that she had been trying to kill. With an odd gentleness, he placed his jacket around her which was when she completely and totally passed out. As she passed out, she found herself suddenly attached to this man that she had never met and now seemed to have a meaning with him. When she awoke, they stayed together for a few days, learning more and more about each other until finally Jason convinced her to go back to SHIELD. There he also promised himself to SHIELD but for reasons that she never understood until a year later and they married in secret. Powers/Abilities: Feline Abilities 1. Super speed - Ziva has the ability to run at speeds that exceed 50 mph. When she is fully rested and completely at ease, she can go at a top speed of 80mph for a short amount of time. She can maintain her average speed for up to two hours and is still training to go longer. To have this ability, Ziva also has to be in top physical shape, therefore she is very strong even for a woman. 2. Extreme Agility (Let Me Escape) - Ziva is able to bend her body in the way that a cat can. She also almost always lands on her feet while also being able to perform most movements like a gymnast. Most would think that this isn’t any sort of mutation, however, she can leap to extreme heights because of this as well plan out a route of escape that is easiest for her because of this Agility. So it is a mutation because her mind views things as an escape route, or attack route. 3. Animal transformation - This one is rather simple. Super senses - Like any animal, Ziva can smell things from miles and miles away and has every smell imprinted in her mind. She can also hear things through walls as well as thousands of feet away which is also like her sight. Ziva can see for at least two miles if there isn’t anything obstructing her view. Because of her being a cat, her sense of touch isn’t exactly the best, however it is more than the average human. 5. Fingernail weapons - Ziva’s fingernails grow into very thick, hard and long fingernails that are as sharp as knives on all sides. She has learned to fight with them with deadly precision, thus the reason that they are stained blood red. He doesn't like his power at all, and really just thinks it is a curse. He wants to make friends, and submits easily to peer pressure. If someone told him that they were jumping off a bridge and that he should join them, William would probably do it. Likewise, that is how William to get a tattoo. He likes to please his friends and other people; seeing them happy makes him feel better inside. He's scared to death of normal people. History: N/A Powers/Abilities: Self-detonation: Will isn't able to control his powers. Much like his father, Nitro, he can't decide when he's going to detonate. However, unlike his father, he can control the radius and force of the blast. In case of him being stressed, with high emotions, there is a chance of losing control entirely. Crush (optional): None Yet. Other: n/a Username: Merryier12 Name: Lily Nickname: Siren Age: 17 Gender: Female Appearence: Long brown hair that falls in gentle waves just past her shoulder blades. With small streaks of aburny-red it gives a sheen in the sunlight. Her eyes are dark forest green with tiny flecks of gold that are almost too small to see. She's tall and has long yet graceful limbs, she has a talent for ballet even though that's not her power. She has excellent posture, and a heart-shaped face. Personality: Can be shy and quiet though on stage her demeanor changes completley. She doesn't usually perform for people because she's afraid of being laughed off. She loves to sing, dance, and act anything to get herself on stage. Some people say she's more comfortable in all her various characters than she is as herself. History: She really, really doesn't like to talk about it. Too many bad memories for her liking. Powers: Lily isn't called Siren for no reason, when she sings people around her are simply compelled to listen. And if she sings long enough they become somewhat zombie like. Usually once she stops singing they don't remember a thing from what happened during the song. Her power doesn't affect mutants at all. Useful on a raiding mission or the like. Crush: Not at the moment Other: Hi Sis! Love this rp! Username: Merryier12 Name: Maya Age: 4 but looks about 5 Gender: Female Appearance (picture or description): Short blonde curls with innocent green eyes. Her cheeks still have much baby fat and her cute little smile shows her dimples. She's very tall and looks to be five rather than four. Personality: She's a very quiet and mature four year old, but has a worse than natural tantrum. She doesn't throw them very often but when she does usually only one of Siren's songs can calm her down. Though Siren doesn't affect mutants, Maya has always been enchanted by her voice. History: She's only four, so she doesn 't really remember much. Powers/Abilities: She has a high pitched wail that will pierce anyone, mutant or human to the spot. That is the only one discovered so far, but she can sometimes get an iffy read on emotions and desires. Never straight thoughts though. Crush: She's 4... Other: n/a Username: Kokay Name: George Michael Stevens (Goes by Michael or Mike) Nickname: For Mutants, he's known as Mike. For humans, he's known and easliy identifiable as Militia Age: 20 Gender: Male Appearance: Likes jeans, jackets, and spiked hair. Personality: Mike is a very laid back person. He doesn't show his emotions and has things planned out quite a ways ahead of time. He doesn't worry about anything that happens regarding humans and, actually, respects the Brotherhood's ideas. If left to his own devices, Michael may end up recreating the Brotherhood. History: George Michael Stevens lived a perfect life. As a young mutant, his powers were unknown and unseen. But, as he got in more and more dangerous situations, they showed clearly. When he was 14 he was attacked by an unstable neighborhood dog. This caused his first split. The appearance of another body to fight scared off the dog, but Mike was more frightened of himself. After talking it out, the two of them decided what had happened. The one who had split off of the original agreed to hide away, knowing it was best. Ever since, Michael has gained more control than ever. He now has 5 splits that he keeps out, but is able to call out more at a moment's need. Powers/Abilities: Splitting 1. In times of need, mental focus, and extreme stress George's body automatically splits. It creates another one of him that is identical in every way. 2. When in need of healing, Michael is able to recall any of these splits and be healed to the condition of the other split. Say he lost an arm but called a split that had only a cut. He would regain his arm but have that cut. 3. He is in prime physical condition and has been schooled slightly in street fighting. 4. Michael has supreme marksmanship skills. Not inhuman, but very excellent. Crush: N/A Other: His oldest split has a name and is his most trusted adviser. The split's name is Wayne and always travels with Michael. Username: Kokay Name: Whittaker (That's all she goes by. Her surname from another time) Age: 32 Gender: Female Appearance: Short, blonde hair. She's a short woman, and fairly thin. Personality: Whit isn't very easily angered. She finds most things trivial. Life is short, might as well live it. She likes to be alone and finds it safe. It's easier to talk to a brick wall than her. She doesn't care for people or their lives. Everyone has the gift of life, but some don't deserve it. Mutants obviously do, having been given more than just life. She's got a rogue personality and helps people as she wills. History: Whit doesn't talk about her past. It's boring. But, there is a tattooed number on her forearm, an early precursor of the Mutant Registration Act. Powers/Abilities: 1. Metal manipulation: It's in a field sort of form. She can control the metals by controlling the field. Giant magnet that affects all metals. Even non-magnetic metals. She can strengthen this field and weaken it and even reverse the polarity. She's mastered it entirely so she can steal your ear rings without hurting you and then take someone else's coat button and send it flying into your eye. The drawbacks are that if she holds the strength too strong, really big metal objects can hurt her. Most metals can unless she is quick enough to fix the field. This field is always existent. So, if she walked by you on the street, you'd feel your fillings pulling towards her, your jewelry. Everything. She's a magnet. He refuses to ever be touched by another person. He tends to thinks things out but is still the first to do anything risky. He wants to show that he is capable. History: At the age of 6, Archer's mom remarried. His step father raped Archer on many occasions. Eventually, when his step father died, Archer tried to block out the outside world. Powers/Abilities (can have more than one but not over five): Archer can make and control fire and ice, enabling him to heat or freeze an object. Crush (optional): None, atm Other: n/a Username: LadyNatasha Name: Sophira Sanner Age: 15, almost 16 Gender: Female Appearance: Picture. However, in general she wears a brown leather jacket over a black t-shirt. She wears jeans or brown leather pants. Occasionally she will wear a purple shirt with butterflies on it, but since mutants were outlawed her wardrobe has shrunk considerably. Her hair is also realistically not quite so long as in the picture. Personality: Sophira is a kind young lady who tries her best to understand why people act the way they do. She dreams of making a peaceful world, or at least a place where peace exists; right now with mutants doing whatever they want and police arresting whoever they want, peace doesn't seem to exist in America. Sophira wants to do whatever possible to change that. She is in general quiet but has a strong stubborn streak that runs through her, and she won't be trampled on. Sophira loves working with others who want justice and peace, but she has yet to trust anyone fully. Though it wasn't always so, she now has the ability to take up any attitude necessary for survival. She is willing to fight, but is quite pacifistic in nature and would not resist arrest if it was for the good of other mutants or her friends. She is torn between helping her own kind and helping the humans who are being hurt by her kind. All she wants is a place where humans can coexist with mutants, a place where mutant children aren't living in constant fear of others and racism is all but existent. History: Sophira was born in India but was abandoned to an orphanage for three reasons: she was a girl, her family was poor, and she didn't look like most Indian children. Her skin was light to the point of almost seeming unnaturally white, and her eyes were green. Her father would have had her killed as she was disgraceful, but her mother managed to sneak her to the nearby orphanage. She was blessed to be adopted by American parents, and Boston has been her home ever since. She was eleven when she discovered her power (long story), and her parents immediately pulled her from public school and began home-schooling her. Home-school was difficult and lonely for Sophira for a while, especially since her parents began banning her from visiting friends alone for over half an hour. However, this also gave Sophira time to think and learn more about what was going on around her. When Sophira was fourteen, things got worse with mutants not just being arrested when seen, but being hunted. Sophira came home from a friend's house one day to find her parents pale-faced and quiet. Apparently the police had come and asked the couple if they had any children... and they had said no, mainly because the neighbor's son had been taken into temporary custody to be tested for powers (which he didn't have). Sophira's parents feared that the police would also test Sophira for powers, and would somehow discover she had them. But now the police thought the Sanners didn't have any children, and Sophira knew what that meant; it meant she could either stay at home in hiding for the rest of the mutant dilemma or she could go into the world and try to change things. She left a note on her parents' bed, grabbed her bike and backpack, and rode away. She hasn't seen her parents since and she stays away from where she knows they live, but she plans to return when she has accomplished her goal of making the world a safer place... and she WILL accomplish her goal, that she is sure of. Sophira is very open with her history, but avoids names and places for the safety of her family. Luckily for her, she doesn't look anything like her adoptive parents. Powers/Abilities: 1. Wound Transfer: Sophira can take wounds off of others and put them on herself in the same places or vice-versa, but she must be able to touch whoever she wishes to take/give the wounds to/from. So far as she knows, she cannot transfer entire limbs. 2. Your Wounds Are Mine (YWAM): If Sophira shares eye contact with another person and chooses to use this power, her eyes turn dark purple around the rim of her pupil and remain this way until she finishes using YWAM. This power allows Sophira to completely protect an ally from physical and mental harm... with the cost of her own health. The one she chooses to protect is the target. While protected, if the target is injured the injury immediately disappears from the target and instead affects Sophira. In other words, if the target is shot in the arm, the bullet seems to pass right through and leave the target uninjured, but Sophira gets a bullet wound in her arm at the same place. Sophira can only use this power for three minutes so far, and if she is knocked unconscious this power turns off. She can die from using this. 3. My Wounds Are Yours (MWAY): Just the opposite of YWAM, but started the same way; if Sophira shares eye contact with another person and chooses to use this power, her eyes turn dark red around the rim of her pupil and remain this way until she finishes using MWAY. This power allows Sophira to completely protect herself, at the cost of the health of another person. She is protected in the same way as she would be using YWAM, and if the target falls unconscious, the power shuts off. Sophira can only use this power for a minute so far, and she doesn't like using it so she hasn't been working to increase the time. Crush: N/A Other: Yes... she carries a hand-gun... but it's hidden in her jacket. She doesn't know much about fighting and is not very good with the gun, but she doesn't intend to kill anyone... Username: LadyNatasha Name: Asashi Nethofelshi Mutant Name: Com Age: 18 Gender: Male Appearance: ~~Picture~~ Asashi usually wears quite fine clothing around the house, but when on the job he wears the black you see in the picture. He wears black pants as well, and hides his face with a plain black helmet. The helmet has a wide, dark visor so he can see clearly in all directions... and, though most don't know this, it also has a setting for night vision. Personality: Asashi is very different from Com. Asashi is care-free, with no apparent goal in life. He makes sarcastic and sometimes sadistic jokes about the mutants and lives without a worry in his life. He is rich, well educated, and spoiled. He would never have to work in life if he didn't want to--and if his father didn't force him to. He plans to go to a rich college in a year or so, and live as if nothing bad was happening in the world. Yes, that's the face Asashi puts on around his father. However, this is not the real Asashi at all. The real Asashi goes by the name 'Com' and never shows his face. He is a trained warrior, prepared to do whatever it takes to stop mutants from ruining his city forever. He knows how to use a gun, sword, and his own hands to cause damage, and he's fairly blunt about using them. He tends to be a bit cocky and prideful, which can make working with others difficult, but so far he's been able to push past those traits and fight... for what HE believes in. He is a bit untrustworthy in that way; he'll help another mutant, but only if it seems to further his own agenda. There are very few people he is completely honest with. History: Nobody knows what Com's history is, but Asashi is the son of a rich and well known police officer, a brilliant man who captured many mutants when his son was young. However, Asashi has learned how to use much of his father's equipment and now, through the identity 'Com', often warns mutants when his father has set a trap. His father is getting suspicious, but surely he doesn't suspect his own son... Asashi lives in a mansion which is walled in and guarded 24/7. It is a high-tech mansion. Asashi's mother died when he was ten, and that was when he decided to do what he could to sort the world out... exactly how he thinks she would have wanted it. Powers/Abilities: 1. I'm Dead: Asashi can temporarily 'freeze' his body. His body does not actually freeze in the cold sense, but more in the status sense. When Asashi uses this power, his body goes completely limp and his heart stops, making him seem dead. This power can last up to thirty seconds without any side-effects, and up to a minute overall. While Asashi is 'frozen', anything that happens to his body is irrelevant; when this power ends, Asashi's body returns to whatever state it was in before he used the power. While he is using this power, Asashi is basically unconscious, though he is aware of time. Asashi must rest between uses of this power and cannot use it more than once every five minutes. If he uses it for more than thirty seconds at a time, he ends up disoriented in various ways. 2. Complete Darkness: Asashi has the ability to 'spit' compact smoke from his mouth. Once spat, this smoke spreads everywhere to cover the entire area around Asashi. It is completely black and can fill areas up to 100 square feet before it starts to fade. This smoke usually lasts from 2 to 10 minutes where it is applied. Unlike real smoke, the only thing this smoke does is make it impossible to see; it has no scent. Crush: N/A Other: As Asashi Nethofelshi, Asashi always carries a little handgun and a walkie-talkie around, unless at some formal meeting or something of that sort. As Com, Asashi has a much more powerful pistol as well as his father's police radio and sometimes one of his father's 'trackers' which keeps track of where all the police cars in the general surrounding area are (normally it's used to help police corner a mutant). He terrified his parents who in turn tried to turn him over to the police as a five year old. Another mutant intervened however and “rescued” the boy. However this mutant was no more loving than his parents had been, being a strong psychic she used Jason and his power for her own gain, teaching him to use his ability but only so that she could benefit in return. It wasn’t the worst of situations but Jason escaped as soon as he could. That however wasn’t very soon and he spent most of his young life under her oppressive thumb, eventually escaping at age eighteen. On his own now and without her “protection” he was constantly on the run from SHIELD, he later found out that this was because she had been captured and given him up. He was thus no longer able to use his very human appearance to his advantage and ended up being hunted by one of SHIELD’s own trained mutants, Faline. Faline finally caught up with him on his twentieth birthday and the two of them had their long awaited showdown. Jason was good, but Faline was trained to resist mental manipulation and her cat-like senses allowed her to navigate his darkness much more easily than he had expected. In the end he was forced to impale himself and use his second ability. Successfully drawing her into his mind he planned on the usual torture until target went insane… but found that he was not in control of the situation unfolding in his head. Instead of creating an environment in his mind, he was subjected to an environment of her creation, specifically he and her both began to relive her traumatic repressed memories, of which there were many. She had been captured by SHIELD at a young age, abandoned by her parents, tortured and trained to be a mutant hunter, to use her body as a tool, and to be obedient to SHIELD’s ever whim no matter how they mistreated her. Everything she thought about herself, everything she was, gushed out like a fountain that had been waiting to be released for years, and indeed it had. Her self-loathing for what she did, the fact that she thought of herself as ugly and hated how she was forced to use her body, even the dreams she once had for freedom and a better life, all but crushed. By this point she didn’t even know what a better life was, she’d lost virtually all hope, having no reason to exist other than following orders that she wished she didn’t have to follow. Only seconds passed in the real world, but days passed in Jason’s mind as he experienced her memories in a way he’d never done with anyone before. As they both came out of it she collapsed, only to have him catch her, crying in his arms like a little girl, lost and scared and he felt great compassion for her no longer desiring her death. In fact he felt a connection with her, for he himself had been searching for a reason to keep living in this existence of running and being hated by most everyone in general. He wrapped his coat around her body and carried her back to the hotel he had been staying in. There he tended to her wounds and his as best he could and waited for her to come around. She did after a while, recovering from her shock and the traumatic experiences she’d been forced to relive. The two of them had many long conversations over the next few days, they got to know one another… and… at Jason’s prompting. Faline returned to SHIELD with him accompanying her. There Jason swore his own loyalty to SHIELD in exchange for being made her partner and helping her hunt other mutants. One year later they secretly got married. Jason continues to work for SHIELD in order to earn both of their freedoms. He’s been promised that bringing down Tempest, dead or alive, would guarantee that SHIELD would leave them both alone indefinitely, it’s the only thing he’s fighting for, for her, and for the dream that one day he can give her a proper life, with real love, and a real home, maybe even a family. He wants her to be happy, and has made it his life’s goal as her husband and best friend, to make sure that this, her dream, comes true. Powers/Abilities: Shinirocke (Raven Blade) Jason’s mutation was an interesting one. He was born with the ability to interface with birds, specifically crows. When he was young he accidently transferred all of his mutant abilities into one who became his constant companion and the carrier or vessel in which his power resides, without it, he is indistinguishable from other humans. Crow Blade: Jason has a faithful crow, a companion that follows him about, perched on his shoulder most of the time but can be anywhere nearby if not found on his person. Then he calls it, the crow will fly to his hand and by squeezing the creature, it transforms into a sword (as seen in the picture). Holding the blade imbues him with some of his former abilities, abilities that he never was able to develop prior to having to utilize the crow. Blade ability: Darkness: Jason produces a darkness, a place that absorbs all light, giving off non in return, literally pitch black in which depth perception, and sense of direction are lost. Gravity is all that reminds you which way up is, and even that gets confusing. Jason has a connection with the darkness that allows him to see perfectly, though not in the normal sense of the word, in the darkness he creates. To him it is a living entity, a friend. It also has a feel to it, like walking through water, but not that dense. The phrase ‘it’s so dark you could cut it with a knife’ applies here… except you can’t cut it. Jason can stand on any surface touched by the darkness regardless of gravity. He is able to move through it as he pleases as if unaffected by the usual laws of physics. Darkness Ability: Confusion If you end up in the darkness, your sense of space and time will change and you’ll find that one step into it is not the same as one step out. You might walk in and wander around for hours, supposedly going in the opposite direction that you walked in, but because of the darkness’ effects on your body’s senses, you could simply be walking in circles and never know it. Darkness Ability: Nightmare The darkness is no more than you make it. Like in a dream when you become afraid in the midst of your dream, you fear manifests itself in some way, and then usually attacks you. When in the darkness your fears come to life, specifically fears relating to being betrayed by a close friend. Often those in the darkness will find their best friend, lost parent, or lover, waiting for them, supposedly coming in to save them, and then be stabbed in the back by their supposed friend. But the darkness can also play on other phobias, fear of bugs, birds, etc… anything can come alive in the darkness and attack you, if you are foolish enough to think about it. Darkness Specification: Range: diameter of 100meters in every direction in a cubical shape with Jason standing in the very center. Limit of effect: Anyone within the field. Only affects living beings (androids would not be affected and in fact would not even see the darkness at all). Other mutant abilities do work within the field of darkness, however, the user can’t tell, as far as they are informed by their senses, their powers are gone and are having no effect. So, even if in real life Cyclops is blasting the city block into oblivion… he thinks his laser vision has for some reason been canceled out. Vulnerabilities: Mutants with powerful wills, strong psychic powers, or no fears, would not be affected. Senses affected: All 5 and even additional ones gained through mutant powers are often changed. Physical effect: none. Any damage received to anyone in the field is mental in nature and therefore will damage their minds, dying within the field causes insanity that so far as been proven incurable. Being rendered unconscious in the field renders you unconscious physically as well and you are immediately taken out of the field due to lack of brain function. Psychic effect on Jason’s mind: Jason’s mind exists in a perpetual state of the very darkness that he creates. To enter his mind is to become engulfed in the world of his darkness at which it is much more potent than it’s physical illusionary self that manifests outside of his mind. Still, a powerful telepath could enter and subdue it perhaps, then his mind would be clear to that person. State #2 Reuniting Man with Beast: Jason is capable of one further use of his power and this he does by taking his sword, and impaling himself with it. For a few moments he will stagger on the edge of death as the physical blade remains embedded in his body (incredibly painful), then it will morph into a liquid and enter his body, healing the wound as it does so. When this happens his physical appearance changes slightly. Physical Changes: His eyes become pitch black like a crow’s and his hair becomes sleek feathers instead of hairs. He also grows in muscle bulk and a pair of black wings, allowing him to fly. Power Changes: Instead of creating a field of “blackness” that affects anyone/thing that enters it or gets trapped in it. A field of attraction is created around his eyes. They are pitch black but light seems to be drawn to them, distorting the appearance of his face as if they were two micro-black-holes, sucking in all light and attention. People are drawn to look into his eyes, much in the same way people are drawn back to an addictive drug but more so. Curiosity, sights, smells, sounds, whispers you hear and experience all of these things, all telling you to look at his eyes, just a glance, just for a second. Eye Effect: If you do end up looking into his eyes, even for a moment, you enter his mind, a place where the same darkness as before has a much greater effect. In this place time passes very slowly, a few seconds of real life time could be days in this new, dark, reality. In this place Jason appears as your worst fear and torments you for three days. But in reality, you look, and suddenly your mind has all the mental effects of being tortured for days, you collapse, and most people pass out, or go insane, or both. Many have mental breakdowns and disorders afterwards, no one is ever the same. But it doesn’t have to be that way. The only true effect is that you enter into his mind, after that he controls what happens, torture may or may not actually be part of the deal, it depends on why you’re there. You could experience paradise… After Effects: If Jason chooses to give you a tour of what your mind considers to be paradise when you stare into his eyes in this manner, you become instantly addicted to it. Just like a drug is addictive the first time you try it. Anyone who experiences the effect in a good way, wants it again, and again, and in this manner Jason has addicted others on purpose so that they will do whatever he needs done in order to see into his eyes once more. Vulnerabilities: Jason can’t control this effect. When it’s active it’s active and it affects anyone who can see any part of him. Everyone wants to look into his eyes. He can only create one environment in his mind at a time, meaning that everyone that gets pulled in, will be in his mind together, allowing him to draw on many fears of many individuals at once… but increasing the chances that the people trapped in his mind will be able to resist him, especially if a telepath is trapped with them. To compensate for this, Jason has a pair of large sunglasses he wears that keep this effect from happening when he doesn’t want it to. Jason may choose to allow the victims caught in his darkness to fall prey to their own nightmares, allowing them to be overcome with fear and pass out, therefore making them easy to collect and turn in to the authorities. Other times in the case of psychics, Jason will allow them to battle with his illusions and darkness while he himself strikes at them physically. This as worked very well as most psychics can’t concentrate on battling and controlling such a powerful mental illusion while dodging sword slashes. She hates it when people talk about bad things and tries to change the mood. History: Her father died when she was seven, and when her brother turned 18, he moved away so its just her and her mom. She doesn't like to talk about the past. Powers/Abilities: She can make herself disappear at will for a small period of time, and is working to improve her time. It takes a lot of energy, though. His skin colour is slightly paler than average and he has dark brown and short, unkempt hair. However, he usually dons a dull gray coloured baseball cap backwards with a yellow-coloured lightning bolt emblem sewn on the front. Spencer is usually seen in his dark grey hoodie, with an extra white cotton shirt in the inside, along with blue jeans where holes are prevalent around the calves of his body, complete with a black pair of sneakers. Personality: Spencer's personality is rather eccentric, he always believes in the 'survival of the fittest', unwilling to help others unless there is a valid cause to do so. However, there are times where he would help, money was one of the main reason, along with those he has mutual respect with. He is neutral towards the conflict between the cops and the mutants, as his only goal was to survive. History: Born as a pair of rich tycoon parents, Spencer was born with a silver spoon. However, Spencer's childhood fell apart when his parents declared bankrupt over the financial crisis when he was twelve. Unable to pay the debts and unable to withstand the pressure, his father decided to kill his wife and Spencer before taking his own life. His mother was shot head first by his father, just as he was about to pull the trigger at Spencer, he fired his first electric bolt for the first time towards his father, knocking him unconscious with the current. His father was then briefly arrested and locked up as Spencer was sent to an orphanage as he had no distant relatives. However, as he grew older, his powers amplified as well. He broke out from the orphanage two weeks after he was admitted in and with his spare money. However, his savings dwindled after months and he was left with nothing. Thus, he decided to look for jobs in around the city. He initially joined the militia at first, learning basic military experience and earning quite a decent pay, for his age. Two years on, he managed to get a job working for the police, moments after the conflict escalated. There, he worked as an double-crossing informant between the mutants and the police, disclosing information of the whereabouts of mutants to the cops and sharing information of the cops to the mutants. All these gave him quite a large amount of cash until one day where the truth was discovered. Now of the days, he spends his days looking about for job opportunities, whoever who bids for his services the most wins. Powers/Abilities: Electricity Manipulation Spencer has the ability to emit sparks of electricity generated from his body in the form of electric bolts and electromagnetic blasts, the latter enables him to create a large disruption field of five meters around him, disabling any electronic equipment in the field, except for heavy ones such as vehicles. Doing such actions require a lot of energy, where Spencer is able to recover from siphoning from anything that possess electricity. His experiences with the Militia made him an expert in firearms, where he was able to channel his energy to bullets, however an excess of current will cause the ignition of gunpowder and the subsequent wreckage of a gun. Other: It is highly encourage to keep anything that possess a battery away from Sparky in case of explosions. Just a warning. He and his wife worked hard for many years to create a cure, but their lab was attacked by the brotherhood and in the destruction Rile’s wife was killed. Mad with grief and left to raise his baby daughter by himself Rile joined forces with an arm of the Government that wished to annihilate mutant kind. When it was revealed a few years later that his daughter was a mutant, Rile handed her over to the Government. Ever since then Elyon has been raised to believe that all mutants are monsters and trained to wipe them out. Powers: Energy Manipulation: Elyon can produce invisible balls or waves of pure energy from her hands. If she were to throw some energy, it is normally strong enough to knock a person over on impact. If she is close enough to something she can send waves of energy through her target and reduce even a large building to rubble in a few minutes. Because the energy she generates is invisible, it can not be seen by the naked eye. The strength of the energy dissipates the further it travels. Elyon can dissolve a bullet in mid air if it is close enough to her, but not one several metres away. Merge: Elyon is able to place objects inside living things by merging them together. There are two types of merge, for example, a half-merge is when Elyon places something like a stone inside a man’s chest. It can be seen on X-Ray and removed via surgery. If the stone was magic, the man would be able to use its powers at will. If it was cursed, then the man would suffer the effects. A full merge is when the man and the stone literally become one and the stone becomes part of his genetic make up and soul. It would have no effect on him and he may never know it was there. The stone would not be visible either through technological or magical means. Elyon is the only one who can remove a fully merged object. If a person carrying a merged object (either fully or half) dies then the object is expelled from them. The ‘host’ of the merged object must be alive, like a person or a tree, although the ‘parasite’ or ‘treasure’ (the merged object) does not need to be. For example, Elyon can place a butterfly inside a tree, but not inside a rock. Merged objects become frozen in time at the point of merging and will not age in any respect until removal. Living parasites also fall in a deep sleep and are not aware of anything while inside their host. The only exception to this is Elyon herself, who maintains a small level of consciousness which allows her to leave a host again. Parasites must also not be greater in mass than their host. Elyon can not merge a person with a car or someone who is much larger than themselves. Half merges can also be quite horrific and may prove to be fatal for both host and parasite alike. Voice: Ever since Elyon was a baby she has been able to hear a voice inside her head. Many at first believed that it was merely an imaginary friend, but as Elyon grew older it became apparent that this wasn’t so. Concerned that this was some psychological issue, or worse, a demonic influence, Elyon was put on drugs to suppress the voice, meaning she can now only hear it in times of stress or danger. Also, depending on the seriousness of the RP, Elyon might be able to ‘hear’ OOC chat. Other: A pair of custom built pistols were designed especially for Elyon. They work just like normal guns, but instead of bullets they feed off her abilities and fire compressed pellets of pure energy. These are just as deadly as regular bullets, but with the added bonus of not leaving behind any evidence, as the energy pellets will disperse into nothingness after hitting something. As the pistols rely on Elyon’s ability to generate a specific type of energy, they are useless in the hands of another. Having been in training all her life, Elyon is also very agile and has excellent aim. Posted August 14, 2011 I would capitalize the first letter in each of the rules (it looks more professional). Also, is there a character limit? You might want to specify that. I think you also contradicted yourself when you were explaining what mutants are. In the first paragraph you said that mutants cannot be created through outside stimuli unlike other comic book heroes, but in the second paragraph you said they could. Specifically the mutants in this particular series would have to be born with their powers but the time their powers develop depends on who and what they are (shifter, mind-reader, etc.). You might want to check to make sure that what you're saying in the second paragraph is correct and clear, because I had strange time trying to make sense of it. Other than that, it looks good. Posted August 14, 2011 The powers that mutants can have range from the elements (fire, water, earth, air and others) to telepathy, power mimicry, absorption, power negation, power sensing, and more. They can either be born with these powers or they can get it from an outside source such as spiders, exposure to radiative waste, or from somewhere else. That was from your second paragraph. To make it clearer, I would just specify that the characters in this RP would need to be born with the X-Gene that gave them their powers. That's how it works in the series, and that's where I was getting confused. It seems like your second paragraph is trying to hone in on what the characters in this RP need to have in terms of powers and being mutants, but that sentence about the origins of their powers (which was explained in the first paragraph) seems to flip everything around a bit. ((There will be forms once this gets approved)) 3) There isn't a structure to be mentioned. They are still looking for an exact home but are afraid to because of the government. Nick and Riley are doing the best with what they can in the RP. 4) I think it was mentioned that they were being arrested by the police. Rpers are not allowed to start out as one of them. She loves to sing, dance, and act anything to get herself on stage. Some people say she's more comfortable in all her various characters than she is as herself. History: She really, really doesn't like to talk about it. Too many bad memories for her liking. Powers: Lily isn't called Siren for no reason, when she sings people around her are simply compelled to listen. And if she sings long enough they become somewhat zombie like. Posted August 18, 2011 Username: Kokay Name: George Michael Stevens (Goes by Michael or Mike) Nickname: For Mutants, he's known as Mike. For humans, he's known and easliy identifiable as Militia Age: 20 Gender: Male Appearance: Likes jeans, jackets, and spiked hair. Personality: Mike is a very laid back person. He doesn't show his emotions and has things planned out quite a ways ahead of time. He doesn't worry about anything that happens regarding humans and, actually, respects the Brotherhood's ideas. If left to his own devices, Michael may end up recreating the Brotherhood. History: George Michael Stevens lived a perfect life. As a young mutant, his powers were unknown and unseen. But, as he got in more and more dangerous situations, they showed clearly. When he was 14 he was attacked by an unstable neighborhood dog. This caused his first split. The appearance of another body to fight scared off the dog, but Mike was more frightened of himself. After talking it out, the two of them decided what had happened. The one who had split off of the original agreed to hide away, knowing it was best. Ever since, Michael has gained more control than ever. He now has 5 splits that he keeps out, but is able to call out more at a moment's need. Powers/Abilities: Splitting 1. In times of need, mental focus, and extreme stress George's body automatically splits. It creates another one of him that is identical in every way. 2. When in need of healing, Michael is able to recall any of these splits and be healed to the condition of the other split. Say he lost an arm but called a split that had only a cut. He would regain his arm but have that cut. 3. He is in prime physical condition and has been schooled slightly in street fighting. 4. Michael has supreme marksmanship skills.
