Was there more of her in the second book then they had on the screen?

I have no idea, I haven't read th books. Her whole story this season though just seemed kinda...unimportant.

Oh okay I thought you had read them. Yeah I got the same impression as well. Let's hope more of her in the coming seasons.

OMG, I love Game of Thrones! I started watching the series and I liked it so much that I'm reading the books now.

Tyrion is my favourite character, and I like Arya and Gendry too tongue.gif

I've seen the trailers for season 3 and they look promising!

She had more chapters, but on the whole, they've added a lot more action into Danny's scenes in the series.

She'll enter into badass period this season wink.gif

Double posting cause it need a bump after yesterday wink.gif

They've really mixed up the newest episode. I'm really unhappy with what they did to Sam (the hell is Ghost doing with them?!!?!) and I have no idea why Jon gave different reasons for joining Mance.

Otherwise, I loved it biggrin.gif.

But I do want to know what they are planning with Bronn and Shae. Both characters are extremely different from their book counterparts.

Didn't Ghost wander off during Season 2?

I burst out laughing when Jon kneeled before 'Mance'.

Also, how thick is the Slaver? Danny shows up on a boat with several Dothraki (don't tell me he didn't know about them, he'll have his peeps telling him what is going on) and he didn't wonder for one minute if Danny knew the language.

I see someone getting what's his very shortly.

In the books, Ghost stayed with Jon in the wildling camp. I probably confused details between the books and the series ninja.gif

The slaver was speaking in old Valyrian language - in the books, it's made clear that Danny lied and said she doesn't know the language.

Oh, yes. Yes, they are getting it wink.gif

I'm guessing they changed Jon's reasoning from "Where did they put the censorkip.gif***?" to whatever speech about the White walkers simply for plot's sake. They preferred referring to a plot point already present in the series, rather than Mance's backstory. It's a pity, since I really liked that scene in the books, but they could've done worse.

My only gripes with this episode were the Harrenhall scene and the fact that Ghost is with the wrong group. Otherwise, it was a pretty good episode.

I know Ghost is the runt of the litter, but he still looks normal dog size to me. Shouldn't he be a lot bigger by now?

Greywind (last time I saw him) was quite large. I wouldn't say he was anywhere near the size of the dead Direwolf in the first episode, but he was big enough not to be mistaken for a regular dog.

I don't know I just watched a few scenes from season 2 and don't really see that big of a size difference. They're all definitely bigger than regular dogs. Or maybe my view of what's a normal sized dog is different than yours xd.png

My stepsister lent me the first two seasons a week ago... I got hooked and already finished all but one episode (I still have the very last episode of the 2nd season to watch... and then I go and break my glasses).

I cant wait till the third season is either on non-pay tv or on dvd... oh I wish I had foxtel *cries*

You can always cheat around and watch it online, and then, when it comes out buy it. That's what a friend of mine does - she doesn't want me to accidentally spoiler her and she's an impatient person, so she just sorta cheats for now. Either way, I don't see anything wrong with it, as long as the creators get payed sooner (preferably) or later.

Last episode... I like new character depth Catelyn got, it helps to differentiate her from Cersei.

Olena Tyrell is less loud then I've imagined her, but I also like her this way more. And I finally figured out what's going to happen to Shae sad.gif And Margaery sure has Joffrey under her thumb xd.png

And Reeds are adorable. I also have a feeling that we'll soon see a lot of slash fanfiction.

It's a good thing Margaery was able to get control of that situation so quickly. She'll do a lot better than Sansa. Who knows, maybe she can curb some of Joffrey's nastier impluses.

Yup. Margaery is more jaded, and unlike Sansa, she is aware that there is a game being played. All Sansa knew was "OMG!!!! Knights! And a pretty queen!!! Oh, and I'm marrying a pretty boy!!" As far as she was concerned all her dreams came true, and when they crashed down she was just lost. Which is understandable. The only peeve I have with her character is that after initial shock everything just stopped for her.

That's probably half of the problem. Sansa grew up believing that beauty equals goodness and that fairy tales happened in real life. Her own father, being an honourable and good man, probably reinforced her beliefs that those in power couldn't do any wrong.

Because of that she was unprepared for the brutality of real life and how to deal with jerks like Joffrey. In the end all she could do was keep her head down and hope she didn't upset the wrong person.

I'm loving lady Olena. Seriously I can't wait for her to have a conversation with Tiryon. It has potential to be hilarious and awesome at the same time.

The story with Cat and Jon was definitely interesting. And the interaction between Jamie and Brienne was nicely done.

Though for some reason Robb just flat out annoys me. And it's funny because he used to be one of the characters I thought benefited from the show as opposed to his book counter part.

I loved Olena in the books, now I love her even more. It's nice that they didn't shorten her scene that much.

I love Jamie and Brienne in the last episode. They moved away from the book, but the essence is still there. But I do wonder what will happen later - they brought in a lot of changes there.

Robb is acting like he just gave up. And he does stupid things. Does he have to, for example, bring the whole army to Riverrun?

I get that Rob wants to pay his respects for his Grandfather, but he has a war to win. He should have sent Cat and a small armed guard to the funeral and got on with his job.

Hell, he could've gone there himself with a small escort and send the army forward. Rob and his escort would be riding, while the army would go on foot; Rob wouldn't have any problem in reaching them after the funeral.

I mean, I know why they are doing that - Rob needs to return to Riverrun in order for some things to happen... But I don't know why they had him come to Harrenhall, then.

On the other hand Rob can't really leave his army while there is a war going on. He needs to be there for his men in case they run into trouble.

Storywise I know there is a point for going to Riverrun, but strategically it's a dumb thing to do.
