Posted June 12, 2014 I wanted to share this Precious while I was thinking about it. Precious - special because stolen on my youngest daughter's birthday, so I named her after a verse in Psalms that is special to both of us. I left out the 5E because it would detract from her name, so I guess she doesn't get to be elemental, but she's still special. My daughter is an aviator in the US Navy and leaving for deployment in a couple months. Share this post Link to post
Posted June 12, 2014 That's beautiful, Fiona. Please thank your daughter for her service. My youngest daughter just left military life. She wasn't in the service, but her husband was an officer in special forces. He retired from service in early May and they've just moved to NYC. Big changes. Not the least of which being that he'll be home now. He was deployed for most of their eight years of marriage. Those of us on the outside often have no idea how much military families sacrifice. Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) I may have to stick 5E onto the end of all these names because. But I have a new series going now. I'll call it the Awesome Series. Be a Little Awesome Awesome Every Day They That Wait Upon the Lord Shall Renew Their Strength They Will Rise Up On Wings Like Eagles Wait, you say. What do those last five have to do with Awesome? The daughter that's going on deployment soon was valedictorian of her high school class. She closed her speech with, "Be a little awesome every day." She has that verse tattooed on her ribs. For her mother, she says. Because I've been an inspiration to her that she can overcome anything and set her sights high. And soar. And she has. All 7 of these were laid on either her birthday or the day after. I screwed up though. I needed one more to make pairs. I don't suppose any of you has a hatchling laid on either of those days?
