((Sorry, I was away all last week and had to work yesterday))

"Well, I'm not going to pretend to know how you guys will perfectly replicate our money, so I'll leave you to it, Mr. Advanced Technology," Liv said with a grin and a good-natured roll of her eyes. "Social interactions are like pulling teeth with you," She teased. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Captain," She greeted, stretching out a hand for him to shake, which he accepted graciously.

"So you're the young Lady Liv. I don't know how Maklar managed to charm you, but I do wish you the best of luck. You'll have your hands full with that one," Falrin said with a smile, pointedly ignoring Maklar's no-doubt-incoming glare. "Don't speak like that to me, young man, Prince's body guard or not. I taught you everything you know, and that's saying something. Surpassing me quickly, I don't know what he's talking about," Captain Falrin huffed, his face transforming into a smile as the girl from earlier appeared by his side. "If you two will excuse me, I believe I owe this lovely lady a dance," He said, bowing at the two of them before escorting the woman away with a smug grin.

Liv watched him go with amusement and glanced up at Maklar. "I like him. You'd think after him training you for so long some of his attitude would have rubbed off, but he was probably quite stern up until he deemed you passable," She told him with a grin. "Anyone else you'd like to see?"

"No need to sound so formal, Rosie," Zahar said with a grin. "We only talk that formal in meetings. Unless it just slips out, which as a prince I can say it occasionally does..." He shook his head fondly at Lady Solest. "Ah, well, I can't just bring out the good compliments every day, now can I? Then they would mean nothing. Unless your sons are charmers like myself, in which case I must up my game. Though I doubt you could ever appear drab and plain, isn't that right Lord Zathar?"

"Gold Flame is Maklar," Zahar quickly interpreted. "They all have nicknames - their real names would be much to difficult to keep track of." He smiled at the compliment aimed towards Rose. "Both inside and out, Lord Zathar. Have Maklar and Lady Liv stopped by yet to say hello? I saw them talking to Captain Falrin just a few moments ago, though he seems to be kept busy with the lady that was glancing his way earlier during dinner. He has me to thank for that later, I'm the one who told him to go talk to her." He gave a smug grin. "Are you enjoying the dance? The staff really went all out on this one, though I suppose adulthood is a big deal for someone of my position..."

((It's quite alright! :) glad you're back I had dresses designed for Lian! Here they are.  Hades would be tongue tied!))

Maklar indeed glared at him for the comment. "I am a soldier, not a dog captain." He muttered as the elder left. He tilted his head in thought. His eyes lit up and he grinned. "Oh yes, come with me!" He dragged her out of the ball room and outside where two tall guys where guarding the gate, one had silvery hair that was long and green skin the color of olives, the other had deep almost sapphire blue hair and skin the color of a brick. "Platinum, and big blue, this is Liv, she's my feonce. Liv, these are my older brothers big blue, you met little B last time his twin,  and platinum their on duty tonight so we can't talk long, but they've been dieing to see you in person. " He let go of her as the two boys hugged her tightly.

-"little sis! So tell us how the hot headed brother of mine got such a pretty lady"- said the one with blue hair. ~"Welcome to the family! I'm platinum, are there other girls just as beautiful as you on earth? I'm jealous brother!"~ The one with the silver hair complained.

---

"Not even when she's sleeping." Zathar smiled at his wife as she turned a yellow tint. "Oh stop, both of you are such charmers to a old woman. " "old? You don't look a day over thirty three dear." Her husband piped up again and Solest just smiled and leaned against her husband. "My sons vary through the generations. The middle ones seem quite angry and snappish. The older ones and gold flame are the sweethearts. Oh did Maklar tell you he's an uncle now? Pitch's egg hatched! She made it through the two weeks and already hoarding colorful socks. It drives my son crazy because he can't ever find a pair, and she's asleep on a pile of them. Then he's afraid of waking her so he just goes without socks. " she laughed.

"It is a lovely party. And the general does seem to be occupied, no doubt Maklar wants lady Liv to meet the rest of the family. Nicknames or not, I get mixed up with my own children. It's a good thing that half are twins or triplets because it makes birthdays easier." Zathar said watching his son drag Liv out of the room.

"How many children for you have?" Rose asked.

Both of them looked at each other for a moment. "Eleven. six boys and five girls..."

((Had wisdom teeth removed last week and spent most of the following days in a haze. Everything should be back to normal now, though. Love the clothing for Lian, Hades will indeed be tongue tied :D))

Liv snickered, but refrained from commenting, instead complaining as he without warning pulled her from the room. "Slow down! I'm shorter than you, in case you had forgotten," She protested, thankful that the shoes she wore weren't ridiculously high heels. She had wanted to wear converse underneath, like at prom, but her mother had shot that idea down almost as soon as it had left her mouth. Maklar stopped in front of two men, who, like Maklar, were ridiculously tall, and apart from their matching wide grins seemed nearly unrelated. Maklar introduced the two as his older brothers, Platinum and Big Blue. "Nice to meet you," She said with a grin. They both squeezed her in a rib-crushing hug. "Need air," She squawked, taking a deep breath when they released her. She grinned in amusement at Big Blue and shrugged. "It wasn't thanks to his charm, I'll say that much. He was alright when he started referring to me by my name." She nudged Maklar good-naturedly with an elbow. She snickered at Platinum. "There are plenty of beautiful girls on earth. It's the matter of finding ones who wouldn't freak out when they find out you guys are a whole different species that would be the challenge." She glanced around. "Miss a lot of the action out here, eh? Did you hear Rose sing? I had to tell this one to close his mouth," She joked, teasing Maklar with an impish grin.

~

"Maklar won't be pleased if his additional title as sweetheart becomes common knowledge," Zahar said with a chuckle. "I'm surprised Pitch hasn't been parading her around yet, since she's past two weeks. I suppose his mate wouldn't be too pleased, though..." He chuckled at Zathar, knowing the man was only exaggerating slightly. Zahar himself couldn't keep track of all the siblings half the time, and he had all but grown up with them. "I noticed two of Liv's brothers seemed to have taken a liking with Moon Rise and Wind. Have to admit, I didn't think Moon would actually agree to dance with her brother. The middle one - Jason, I think. Maklar has mentioned him in between his long speeches, for lack of a better word, about Liv," Zahar said with a chuckle. "Don't tell him I said that, I value my hair being un-singed. "I'm not saying that eleven children aren't wonderful, but I couldn't handle that many. I don't know how you all did it, especially when they were all younger." He shook his head incredulously. "Well, we'll leave you to enjoy the dance. I myself would like to slide in a few more dances." He glanced at Rose. "Care for a dance, m'lady?"

((Glad you're back! :) ))

The two looked at each other. "That was lady rose?" They said at the same time. -"I thought it was a dragün singer"- ~"How can a human have such golden pipes, it was beautiful! So, did the ball meet your expectations?"~

----

"Of course Zahar." Rose said taking his hand and kissing it. "Oh really? Moon rise is quite the shy one. I'm surprised too I saw her speaking with him. " Solest said. "It was... no less than a miracle I kept my sanity about me. My husband..." she gave zathar a pointed look. "May have lost it a couple times, mostly from my people's ways in viewing the men taking care of the children. We had to.. adjust and compromise. The ball is quite lovely, it isn't often we get time to ourselves, so we'll be leaving you two. Lovely to meet you lady rose." She smiled and Zathar nodded and they left to dance with each other.

Rose looked at Zahar. "They were quite lovely."

Liv giggled at the two, amused. "Yes, that was Lady Rose. She was absolutely incredible. The ball has been amazing, I've never been to anything so fancy before. I'm more of a romp-through-the-woods sort of person, so formal occassions aren't exactly something that happen often. Especially since we live out in the sticks. Will you two be able to come out later, or are you stuck out here all night?" She asked them curiously, grabbing Maklar's arm and looping it over her shoulders so she could lean against his side.

~

Zahar grinned at Rose, before chuckling at Lady Solest's explanation. "I can imagine. Enjoy the ball," He said with a smile, placing a hand on the small of Rose's back and leading her out to the dance floor once more. "They are fantastic people. Lady Solest is like a second mother. Yara being the first, of course," He told Rose, leading her in a slow dance appropriate to the song. "Getting sleepy yet? It's quite late on Earth now, I'm surprised you and Liv's family aren't dead on their feet by now." He looked amused. "With Liv and Maklar getting married, I'll be interested in seeing for myself how long it takes for her to get used to our longer days. But that means we have longer nights too, so I supposed it won't take too long to adjust." His mind wandered as they danced. "I wonder if Ferris is here? I know he got invited, but I haven't seen him around."

~"We're stuck out here. We better get back to work now before we get into trouble, thanks for coming to see us. ~ platinum said before dragging his brother off waving over his shoulder. Maklar smiled and pulled her close after the two were out of his sight. "Finally alone. Did I tell you that when I saw you at the table, you took my breath away..." He purred deeply fingers caressing her cheek softly.

-------

"I took a nap. Remember I have a computer from your planet now, and I have my time and your time set the clock. That's how I was able to coordinate meetings with your father. Knowing him, probably looking for the cake or flirting with the ladies. Look for the biggest group of girls, he's probably in there somewhere. I talked to her on the way here, and we exchanged cell numbers. She says Maklar would let her live on earth to get her veterinary degree. " she says. "I can dance half the night, so don't worry about me."

Liv waved at the brothers, grinning in amusement at the pair as they left, disappearing around a corner. Maklar seemed to take that as his cue to pull her close, fingers caressing her cheek and making her shiver, blood rising to her face. "I guess I don't clean up too bad then. You look rather good yourself," She murmured, slipping a hand around his waist and looking up at him, silver eyes studying the sweep of his face. "No, I was wrong. You don't look good, you look absolutely dashing," She said with a sly smile, reaching just high enough to kiss his jaw. "Would my dashing prince like a proper kiss?" She asked him jokingly, eyes sparkling.

~

"Look at you, accounting for everything," Zahar teased. "You'll make a fantastic queen. Who knows, maybe my father will eventually come around." He chuckled, both at his statement and Rose's suggestion. "You're probably right, and I'm not about to try and get in the middle of that. If he doesn't find me tonight, I'll call him tomorrow." He gave a slight shrug. "Did you really? Good to hear you're getting along. Since Maklar is my official bodyguard, you two will no doubt end up seeing a lot of each other in the future. Though I'm unsurprised he's letting her stay on Earth to get her degree, Maklar would do anything for her." He waved a hand. "Anyways, if you say you can dance half the night, then dance half the night we shall!" He exclaimed, leading her into a smooth, simple foxtrot as the music changed. "I know I didn't teach you this one, so just follow my steps. It's quite simple," He said, slowing a little while she got the hang of the different dance.

" I most certainly would my lovely goddess." He purred and leans lower so he could reach her lips brushing them teasingly on her cheek. "Clean up? Darling, you went from a beautiful woman to an priestess of the moon goddess. " He tightened his hold around her and purrs in her ear. " "Tis a good thing you aren't , otherwise i wouldn't be able to marry you in six weeks. I count the seconds until i can be bound with you, heart, mind and soul.... then after the human ceremony..." He smiled voice growing deeper. "Bound in body." He purred eyes gleaming mischievously awaiting her reaction.

---

She laughed and started to dance more complex steps. " We have a dance like this called the foxtrot. My dad taught me it when i was little. It's my favorite!" She grinned. "Is that a challenge? Because i think I'd outlast you." She giggled

Liv blushed, an unconscious smile forming at his compliments. "I suppose that is good news for you then, yeah," She said, shivering as he purred in her ear. "Mak," She squeaked, face going redder than before. She seemed lost for words after that, mouth moving soundlessly before she let out a puff of air. "I'll get you for that some other time," She threatened, face still pink. "You can't tease me like that and get away with it. It's just not right." Shaking her head, a smile evident on her face, Liv pulled him in for a proper kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck. Once she pulled away, some moments later, she looked breathless and amused. "Look at us, sneaking off like two rebellious teenagers to kiss in the hallway."

~

Zahar grinned. "Seems to be my lucky day, then," He said, speeding back up to the dance's proper pace with ease. He seemed just as at home dancing as he was sparring - his style in both were similar, too. Lithe, graceful, precise - he didn't miss a thing and never seemed to falter. "It's only a challenge if you want it to be. And trust me, I've had a bit more practice than you, so I think I'd win," He teased. Their faces came close and he stole a kiss before he spun her out.

"If I don't, your father and brothers would tare me apart, scale by scale." He purred eyes glazed  smoke trailing from the corner of his mouth as he smiled like a fool. "I don't doubt you would get me later for my forward remark, but it's just so fun teasing you, you're adorable when you turn such scarlet. Or when you're mad. Your nostrils flare slightly and you get this little crease between your eyebrows that I just want to kiss away. Face it my dear, I'm hopeless and weak when it comes to you. I can't say no to those starlight eyes." He purred, forehead against hers.

----

She scoffed when he stole the quick kiss. Her thin eyebrows creased as she spun back and smacked her hand on his chest a little harder then what she was supposed to. "How uncouth! Stealing a kiss from a lady is ungentlemanly! " She chided playfully. "Really? Because I say it is, and you are going to be woefully incorrect my dear. Have you ever worked three jobs during college finals? Three days and two nights running souly on coffee energy drinks and pixie sticks."

((She totally does have to do that))

"You make a fair point," Liv said, giggling at him. "I can't believe you pay that much attention. Personally, I think your grumpy face is adorable. Your eyebrows scrunch up and you have an almost pout," She said, tapping his nose. "Trust me, Maklar," She said, rolling his name off her tongue, "I know. I'm not oblivious. It's obvious if you pay attention. " She closed her eyes as he leaned his forehead against hers, giving a gentle sigh. "It's been four weeks for me. I've missed you."

~

Zahar chuckled, his chest vibrating. "Oh, you're right. My apologies, milady, however can I make it up to you?" He chuckled. "Whatever you say, my love. I've stayed up until four my time many times previous in meetings, it was a literal nightmare," He pulled a face. "Sometimes I wonder if I'm cut out to be king, but there's nothing I can do about it, so..." He gave a slight shrug. "Grin and bear it, right? Meetings don't happen all the time... only most." He grinned.

"It felt like four months to me.." He rumbled sighing as well in contentment, just holding her and being close. He then picked her up from the waist and sat down on a bench setting her on his lap so they can snuggle for a while. "I'll try to call more often, but the time difference still confused me greatly. I'm afraid of waking you up, or catching you at a bad time.."

--

"Taking me to open your other gifts." She said with a smile. "It may help if you appointed someone whom you trust with reviewing laws, and another for organizing a schedule so they can't just drop meetings on you. A king needs a break too, and it would be great if you'd see your people and let them speak freely to you so you could get their opinion, and see how certain laws and decisions affect them. " she says tilting her head. "Then again, I grew up in a  world where monarchy is few and  in a country where democracy is strong..." she looked at the people. "Random question, but... does it snow here?"

Liv rolled her eyes at him, giggling when he picked her up and swept her into his lap. She wrapped an arm around her neck and kissed his nose. "I know what I'll do. I'll get you a watch and set it to my time, that way you'll always know what time it is for me. But you ever need anything, even if it's silly, you can call any time, just like I call you. You know that, right? Don't be afraid to call. If I don't answer, I'm either busy or asleep." She grinned at him before ducking her head to yawn. "It must be late back on Earth, I'm getting sleepy," she said, resting her head on his chest. "So, six weeks, huh? Then you get a better excuse to come over whenever you want," She said with a giggle. "Not that you need one. You should visit more often, you know, when you're not busy."

~

"Mm, as much as I'd love to, it would be improper for me to take you to my private quarters. People would talk. Public image is rather important, and in the coming days I need to preserve mine," Zahar said. He didn't mention his plans to reveal his father - it was better discussed at another time. "That's a good idea. Like America's secretaries? Have someone presiding over those, and reporting over to me with all big decisions? It'd be a change, but I like that, it should be suggested." His lips twitched upwards. "Having another view on things isn't bad. You can give us perspectives we haven't even considered. Democracy or no, I still want what's best for the people over myself. I'm not sure all your Earth politicians could say the same, however." He chuckled. "That is rather random. There are several parts of the world where it snows. Not very often around here, as this is one of the hotter regions, though I could always arrange for a trip farther north when it gets cooler out. I'm sure you'd love seeing me in a leather jacket." He winked.

"Indeed. A watch would be nice, I love the look of those pocket watches. A wrist watch is fine too, but I might need to make the wristband flexible. Imagine that, a dragon with a watch. Almost as silly as a dragon with glasses." He chuckled. "I can check with your family, to see if they want to head home. Or you could fall asleep right here. I don't mind being used as a pillow... " He said softly starting to rock side to side gently.

----

Rose blushed. "Oh yes, I forgot about that. I got too excited. Yes, like Secretaries. I agree with you on the politicians. Our president now..." she shuddered.  "Anyway, yes, I'd love to see you in a leather jacket, however I never seen snow. I live in a desert. Not much snow reached el derado county. "

"Pocket watch it is, then," Liv said with a giggle. "I'll get you one with a dragon design, for laughs." She grinned at his statement. "Almost. Though I'm sure you'd look good with glasses." She smacked his chest lightly as he rocked her back and forth, and she began to feel her eyes droop. "Stop it! If you really want to, we can cuddle after you take me home. Let's check and see what my family wants to do, but I am not taking a nap here. I'm not that tired." She then yawned hugely. "Okay, maybe I am that tired. But my point still stands." Kissing him softly on the lips, she slipped out of his grasp and stood to her feet, stretching. "You know, probably should have brought a watch." Waiting for him to stand, she took Mak's hand and pulled him back in the ballroom. Scanning through the crowd, she finally saw her parents seated at one of the tables, looking tired. "There's my parents. They look like they're about to crash too."

~

"It's alright," Zahar chuckled. "Someday you won't have to worry about that. But until then... Don't worry, I'll wait and drop by sometime late tomorrow to open them with you. Sound good?" He bartered with a smile. "Yes, well... the general American democracy system isn't the bad idea, however people do not always have the best intentions, unfortunately. I will look into that, however, as I think having chiefs of different departments would be a brilliant idea. As for snow..." He mused. "I could even bring you to the second planet, if you so desired, as it's considered to be the much cooler planet, as it only gets the light from one sun and often falls into the shadow of this planet. It is, however, still habitual, though the blizzards can be quite vicious." He was thoughtful for a moment. "How would you think about going on a tropical island trip? There are several tropical islands that are beautiful this time of year. We could invite Maklar and Liv along, stay a few days, make a vacation out of it. Goodness knows we all need a break."

"So  does your brothers. " he pointed to Jason and Jared looking tired. Moonrise was covering Jason's shoulders with her shawl and windsheer was snapping her fingers under the youngest brother's nose to keep him awake. "Let's get you all home.  You go wait with your family..." He said softly going to let Zahar know where he'd be leaving to take Liv and her family home.

---

Rose grinned brightly. "A vacation sounds lovely!  I'd love to see more of the planets you call home! After all, they'll be my home too right?" She said holding his hand and kissing his knuckles lightly. "And you better stop by to open the gifts I got you. I want to see your face on some of them. " she said. "Oh.. but... in the bag in a container is a cupcake with a candle and a lighter. I thought you should be able to blow out a candle on a big day such as this. I know you always wanted to do that. " she looked over at Maklar approaching.

"Sir, I'm going to be taking the humans home. Rose may stay if she likes for a little longer, but Liv and her family look dead on their feet. Our times are different from theirs. "He says. Rose looked at Zahar. "I should get going too. Happy birthday my Prince. Don't forget to call me!" She said kissing his cheek.

((You can handle the TS, you'll be able to set the wedding scene better than me :P))

Liv giggled, realizing Maklar was right, and meandered over to sit with her family. "Mak is about to come and take us home," She told them, causing Jared to rub the sleep out of his eyes and stand to stretch.

"Awesome," He said. "You guys really know how to throw a gala, but I'm pooped." He offered Wind Sheer an exaggerated bow. "It was a pleasure to meet you, milady. Perhaps we shall meet again sometime."

Liv rolled her eyes at him as Jackson, Hope, and her parents joined them. "Mak is about to take us home," She repeated to them. Her mother nodded tiredly, leaning on her dad's arm, and Hope was doing the same against Jackson, who out of the group looked the most awake.

Jason smiled up at Moonrise. "It was privilege to meet you," he said, standing as well. "You're welcome to come to our house any time you feel so inclined." He pressed a gentle kiss to her knuckles. "Have a lovely rest of your night."

"Always showing the rest of us up, Jase," Jackson teased, causing Jason to blush lightly. "Nah, I'm just giving you a hard time."

"Of course any of you lovely ladies are allowed to visit, if you'd like," Lilly offered. "There's just not enough female influence around the house, and I can imagine you'd want to get away from your brothers every once in a while."

~

"Great," Zahar said, smiling. "I'll get set to scheduling that right away, then. I'm thinking after Liv and Mak's wedding, it can almost be their honeymoon. Though Mak is insisting they get married traditionally on Earth as well before they, erm... do anything." Shaking his head awkwardly, he chuckled. "Thank you for the cupcake, love, I'm sure it's delicious. I'll make sure to do it with the candle." Zahar glanced over at Maklar upon his closest friend's approach. "Very well, Maklar, I hope they enjoyed the ball. Send them my greetings, would you?" He glanced down at Rose, realizing that she did look tired. "Very well. I'll see you soon, love, be safe." He flashed her a grin, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "Don't worry, my dearest, I won't forget."

(( okay. May not be elaborate. Really sick to the point where I'm camped out by the John in case I cough something up. Ugh XP ))

"I will think on that...." Moonrise said, turning a pale gold. Rose kissed the Prince goodnight and followed Maklar as he lead everyone to a ship and brought them home, dropping off rose first before Liv's family. Kissing Liv goodnight before he left.

-----

Ryuu was warm even though it was sunset. One of the two suns were on the horizon the other (smaller) one close behind as a large pale blue moon rose from the west as the sky steadily turned ink black a second white gold moon rose from the north, both full. The planet itself was a mixture of wilderness and technology. The pathways where large enough for two massive dragons to pass each other comfortably. Homes where a mix of human sized homes of various styles to dragon sized caves or hallows in the ground.

A massive castle, Dragon sized, with sweeping buttresses and dragons carved into the light grey marble stood to the left of the two temples near the center of the city.  They were in the same room near the front of the castle separated by a screen and several dozen feet, able to accommodate ten dragons as massive at pitch at one time.  Both were being tended to by servants. Liv's dress mostly fastened in the back it was long sleeved, ankle length with no cleavage showing.  It was red gold, in the pattern of Dragon scales soft like silk and very light. jewelry made by Maklar was placed on her. A pair of earrings like stained glass starts, a simple necklace with a dragon pendant, and of course her wedding ring. Maklar had on a similar ensemble, a very modest almost Chinese outfit with silver accents and accessories clashing with the red gold armor he wore over it.

The pathway to one of the two temples they would take was lined with both dragons in human shape and in their natural state and their mates, no matter the race to the temple of the moons. The blueish silver Aztec like building seemed to glow in the darkening sky, made of pure moon stone with gold writing of names only on a handful of the blocks.

"The carriage is ready. "The queen breezed into the room in her glass like dragon self. Normally the two dragons would walk side by side down the lane and up to the temple, however in this case, they'll be riding in a carriage pulled by Sun lions to the top where the ceremony will take place.

Pitch was with his mate and hatchling at the base of the moon temple, along with most of Maklar's family. (minus his twin sister) it was obvious that pitch was the largest of the family. A deep oily black, his front leg alone was the length of Maklar nose to tail tip. His mate was small in comparison, although still fairly large, a soft white blue with antlers instead of horns, no wings or scales. Her furry tail was wrapped around her baby, who looked like a flea compared to her parents.

Moonrise stood with Jason as a human as did Windsheer with Jared. The eldest sister stood as a dragon, the youngest perched between her cobalt blue horns that twisted like a gazelle's. The bright vibrant colors and plumage of the little princess a stark contrast to her sisters opalesent scales.

Liv was nervous. She knew there was no reason to be, but she wasn't even in her 20s and about to get married. Ryuu, like her home in Georgia, was hot, even in the evening, though the heat was bearable. Fortunately, the room they were in was cool as the servants got her ready. Her dress was light, cool, and stunning, accenting her pale skin and making her silver-grey eyes all the more striking. Her hair, for once, was cooperating, falling in dark curls, held in place by a product produced by Zahar's race that worked absolute wonders. She wished she had some at home, considering her dark hair had never looked so good. The jewelry she wore was minimal, and for that she was thankful - anything elaborate, and she was sure that it would stick to her skin once she reentered the heat. She glanced over as Maklar's mother entered in her regal dragon form, looking as striking as ever as she declared the carriage to be ready. Liv's stomach flipped, and she wished her mom was around to reassure her, but Lilly was out waiting with the rest of her family.

Liv shot Mak a nervous smile, seeking reassurance, as they prepared to enter the carriage. She reasoned that she wouldn't be technically married, at least by human standards, for a fair amount of months, but at this point she thought it was just a formality over anything else. Especially since she'd be drinking "life juice" as Jason so tactfully called it and binding souls with Maklar. She just was glad that naturally, Mak would be there through the whole thing.

Zahar was, for once, wearing an almost normal suit, though the silver cape draped over his shoulders made it clear of his elevated status. He stood with Maklar's siblings, on arm wrapped loosely around Rose's waist. He was pleased she was able to come, though the increased talk about when he would be proposing was getting increasingly annoying. He hadn't even gotten a ring yet - though he planned on having Maklar help with that, considering his closest friends knew a bit more about precious gemstones than he did. Zahar was excited for Maklar - the surly dragun had been lucky to find a girl like Liv, and he knew that Liv would make Maklar happy. Now, all he had to do was figure out how to propose to Rose. At the very least, his father had lost the ability to marry him off, so it was one less thing for him to worry about. Zahar was, once again, glad for his planet's advanced technology, considering he would be sweating already if not for the light, cool cloth that his suit was made out of. Rose, as usual, looked stunning, as did Moonrise and Windsheer. In all honesty, he was a bit bemused - though not surprised - that two of Maklar's sisters had taken a liking to the younger Henderson brothers. They were both worthy men, by his people's standards, which tended to be unusual among humans.
