Raven spoke up. "I think it's not too bad of a plan. But shouldn't we maybe reach out a little further and gathre what we can around here, rather than going back to where they'd find us again?" Raising a brow, she scanned the group. Navi looked ready to pass out at any moment. Frowning, she looked back to Zeke. "What if I go instead? I can make the map, I'm not a huge necessity to the team." She didn't mean to sound conceded .But it was true. She didn't show up in 'The Hall of Heroes' like the others had. "It won't make a difference if I'm gone, and Navi looks ready to collapse."

Zeke only shook his head, "I'm not sending you alone, Navi. Remember that if you die I can't bring you back", he warned, "Now this isn't up to discussion. Either you come with me or stay here if your scared". It was clear that Zeke was getting annoyed with the two girls. He glanced around at the burnt, destroyed trailers that surrounded their camp when Raven asked about looking for supplies, "knock yourself out", he said as he stepped through his own portal.

Zeke stepped out onto the ashen cover earth of the sunken Nashville that disguised their home. He positioned the portal under the space created when one tall building fell onto another. The building groaned and small trails of rubble fell from the open chest cavity of the skyscraper. They would be hidden from the air but only as long as they stayed in the buildings. He stood by and waited for the rest of his team.

Shaking her head, Raven crept through the portal carefully. Seeing the charred shell that had once been Nashville, she stifled a gasp. Her nose began working along the ground, trying to pick up scents. There's to much ash and smoke left in the air to pick up any scents.

Ethan stepped into the portal, double checking all of the charms he had placed when he had done so, refreshing everyone's charms. he looked around the now destroyed Sanctuary, already seeing several places that could be potentially dangerous, especially when jinxed. Whether he should prepare them now or wait until they actually get attacked was the question.

"Just so that everyone knows, I might be jinxing some things as we go by just in case we get attacked. All of you are charmed but that doesn't guarantee protection." He flipped his coin as he issued the warning.

Theo groaned and got up. What happened? He looked around to see the Sanctuary in ruins. He grunted and tried to glare at whoever was responsible, but he saw no one around. He got lucky that his snowmen saved him. All he remembered was the roof collasping.

Zoey paused. She had made it to safety, but she felt like such a coward for running. So, she turned and went back, blending cautiously into the remains to look for any survivors.

Luck steped through the portal and stared at the ruins that used to make up the sanctuary. She nodded when Ethan said he might jinx things."Wow..." She quikly examined the rubble around her.

Zeke looked his team over and dropped his bag on the ground, "split up and search the intact buildings. We meet back here in twenty minutes. If your not back I'm considering you dead and leaving without you", he said sternly, "So don't dawdle", he said with a wink. He considered warning them about the dangers around them but he was sure that they already knew what was out there. He turned his back to them and vanished.

Navi was back in wisp form, and had to pick a partner... Who needed the most help? She couldn't gather supplies herself, but she could guide someone. She already had the supplies mapped out. "Water!" She rang, and moved up and down. She went out a few feet, signaling someone to follow.

Raven's ears perked at Navi's call. Turning back to the other direction, she followed after her, snatching a canteen from the pile on her way towards her.

Theo yelped as he moved and fell flat on his face. He looked back at his leg to find his foot was crushed. "Ow..." he said. He then heard voices and decided something. He summoned one of his snowmen. The snowman looked down as his creator with concern. "I need you to get help," Theo commanded. The snowman nodded before sliding around to get help.

"Luck, is that you?" Zoey asked from beside her, blending in with the destruction. "Oh! What am I saying? Of, course it's you. Are you all right?"

Navi saw Raven following and guided her on out. The water reservoir had burst, but there was still some remaining at the bottom... That was the challenge though. But the water would be very very useful of course.

Zeke reappeared at the entrance of the North tunnel where Carissa and himself escaped from. He was pleased to see that the outside entrance was mostly clear. The roof of the tunnel was partually collapsed, leaving a chest high pile of shattered concrete and twisted rebar. There was no way a normal person was going to drive a car out of there. It was a good thing that Zeke' wasn't a normal person. He carefully picked his way over the rubble and switched his flashlight on. The tunnel had miraculously remained intact. He reached the section of the tunnel from the escape and pressed his hand on the rubble. There wasn't an inch of space on the other side. He sighed. He wasn't sure what he was expecting. It wasn't like Sanctuary would have survived. All of those people he was suppose to protect, dead and trapped. He couldn't worry about that now. He looked back to where the escape cars stood. His heart sank when he saw that most of the cars were pinned under a section of wall that collapsed on the group. He could have freed them if Ryan was there but even if he got them free they would be damaged beyond repair. He walked back towards the entrance, lazily sweeping the light from side to side. A blue tarp covered in white dust caught his eye. He pulled back the tarp and smiled. Underneath was the stores of fuel they had for just the occasion. He turned a three sixty and something else caught his eye. On the edge of the rubble field there was a red and white pickup truck with the bed full of roof stone. He grabbed a few gas cans and crossed the tunnel. He tossed them in the back seat and looked at the fuel gauge. Half full. Not too bad actually. This along with the jeep back at camp they could make it up north. Finally there was some light at the end of the tunnel.

Looking down at the water pooled, she sighed, shifting forms. "Rope would be great..." Sliding the strap of the backpack off one shoulder, she sifted through it, pulling out a coil of rope. It wasn't nearly long enough to reach the bottom. "Well, looks like we are going to have to find another way down."

Luck spun around when she heared Zoey call out to her." Zoey...please stop your powers." She sighed in relief that her friend was ok. " I'm fine. Come on, we need to search the rubble." Luck started off to look for any survivers.

Stepping through Zekes' portal, Pooch shivered, sticking out her tongue at the strange sensation that location-hopping always gave her.

Tapping her bare foot against the rubble flecked dirt, Pooch watched as everyone split up, Wyrm waiting patiently by her side. As soon as the others had disappeared, spreading through the labyrinthine tunnels of Sanctuary, a slow smile spread across her face. Creeping over to one of the few walls still intact, Pooch pressed an ear to the cool dirt.

"Oh Digbeasts..." she cooed, tapping a dirty fingernail against the wall "Are you lucky beasties still scurryin' where I left ya?"

A low rumble answered in return and Pooches' smile widened as she stepped away from the wall; small fountains of dirt and debris to falling away from its surface. Soon, a tiny set of mud-flecked claws poked forward, and a tiny pink nose emerged, sniffing delicately at the air.

Pooch squealed in delight, she and Wyrm had been worried sick over the state of their tunnel friends, and the simple fact of their survival made the loss of Sanctuary somewhat more bearable.

"Wamba" She said, speaking to the tiny mole, whom was now sniffing the air for signs of treats "Do ya know how me n' Wyrm can make it to the kitchens? I'll make it worth yer time..." She added, tapping the tiny mammal on the nose.

As Wamba squeaked a reply, Pooches' expression soured; the kitchen tunnels were apparently closed off to anyone too small to budge the boulders, and the moles' own tunnels were far too small even for her

Kicking at a chunk of granite, Pooch thought hard until, snapping her fingers, she found an answer.

Scrambling back the way she'd come, she shouted a thanks to her tiny friend before disappearing over a mound of rubble, sliding down the other side as Wyrm floundered after her, dislodging chunks of stone and sections of root along the way. Zipping through a small set of tunnels which had once led to a labyrinth of seldom used training rooms, Pooch sniffed at the air before ducking to the side and, with the help of Wyrms' bulk, pushing open the enormous oak door which led to an antiquated storage closet.

Falling to her knees on the filthy floor, Pooch pushed aside a tangle of ancient cleaning utensils, sending a family of spiders scurrying along the floor and over Wyrms paws.

With a smile which now took up the majority of her freckled and sunburned face, Pooch pulled out a box, filled to the brim with odds and ends; candies, cans of meat and indistinguishable vegetables, seeds, nuts and even packaged pastries... all of her beast friends' favorites, as each item had been lovingly hoarded just in case of the need of an emergency favor or barter.

Sometimes it felt pretty good to be a Beast Master. The only problem, she thought, straining and failing to lift the box, was finding a way to cope with being small....

Ethan was startled a bit when Zoey's voice came form nowhere. The fact that he had no memories of the girl and her powers yet helped with that. "So I take it you're one of us?" he asked Zoey, not really able to charm somewhere where he didn't even know the exact location of it. he started to follow Luck, jinxing some things that looked like they could crumble at any second or any sharp objects and bits of rubble that could be stepped on or cause tripping. "Think you could use some more luck with you?" he asked Luck, not exactly sure whether he should go off on his own or accompany someone. He sighed when he realized he had done it again, "Is it too late to change your name or something?"

(((I'm going to have to say no to The Beast. She really doesn't fit the setting or the style of the rp. Maybe you can use her in Facing the Insanity?)))

It was simple to get the truck out of the blocked tunnel. He just opened a portal big enough to fit the truck through and drove through into the sunlight. He smiled and carefully drove the truck through the ruined streets. Bits of gravel and concrete would occasionally ping off the metal roof of the cabin. He pulled up next to his bag and designated meetup spot and killed the engine. Zeke got out of the truck and looked in the bed. 4 and a half cans of fuel were strapped down in the bed. That should be able to get the two vehicles to the northern part of the states. Zeke pulled himself up into the back of the truck and sat of the edge to wait for the others.

Little did the Heroes know, all of their locations were pinging to every Eon in the city. Zeke didn't realize it until a torpedo like object dropped from the sky and embedded itself into the ground. The torpedo blew open. Zeke took that as a cue something bad was about to show up and flipped backwards and landed clumsily on the ground behind him. He swore under his breath and peeked under the truck. He couldn't see much but he definitely saw the feet of someone walking towards the truck. Since his team didn't have a habit to drop from the sky, he figured enemy forces had found them. He could hear other thuds somewhere off in the distance and knew that was other air units ambushing his friends. Zeke drew the dracon beam from his coat and got ready for a fight.

Raven grabbed Navi and dove into the resivor. Lucky for them, there had been enough water to cushion their fall. Beginning to look for more cover, she watched as a middle dropped from the sky, obliterating the spot they'd been moments ago. " censorkip.gif !" Find a crack, find a cave, find something! Hastily scanning the walls, she spotted a large crack just above the waterline. Yes! She silently cried. Swimming powerfully to the crack, she made sure that it wouldn't be there grave. Surprisingly, the crack was actually a tunnel, eroded by explosions and water. "Let's go!" Dragging Navi along, she tripped as another explosion rocked the cave.

Navi wriggled out of her grip and highlighted a path. "Watch out!" She motioned to the ceiling, which looked precarious. Navi sensed an escape route just outside the tunnel. There appeared to be a pump system... if they could get it going perhaps they could siphon the water to the camp using the hose... but where would they put it?! Maybe they could find something. "Pump outside!" She bobbed up and down. Maybe she would get the message.

Ethan was blasted away by something that fell form the sky, unable to tell what it was. He opened his eyes, looking around him, multiple rocks and sharp objects were sticking out of the ground around him, some of him right next to him, but none of them had hit him. He looked up around him trying to move as little as possible. He wanted to know where the other guardians were, although it looked like they had other company. He placed another charm on himself as the one he had protected him form getting impaled. He also took initiative at jinxing anything that could possibly help, although getting at the Eons and their weapons would be best.

Pooch stopped in her attempts to push her liberated box of supplies, she and Wyrm sharing a tense silence as they listened to a distant, ominous rumbling. Wyrm growled deep in his throat, a heavy frightening sound, even in a situation like this. Pooch opened her mouth to ask her furry friend for input when suddenly, an explosion of white heat filled the room; blasting her off of her haunches and into a pile of rubble and supplies.

Through a dim haze of consciousness, Pooch watched as Wyrm settled himself firmly in front of her, facing the source of the blast with his tremendous fangs bared, his long shaggy fur smoking from the sudden heat. Pooch, still settled limply amongst the broken mop handles and dust, absent mindedly licked at the thick trickle of blood coursing from her nose, watching with dazed eyes as Wyrm growled deeply and with the force of thunder; all two hundred pounds of his fur and muscle tensed.

With a dry croak, Pooch pulled herself to her feet, limping over to swing the heavy closet door shut with a groan; its heavy metal hinges squeaking in protest. Locking the door with a click, she half-collapsed behind Wyrms' stolid form, listening in silence for any sounds from the room beyond.

Nothing.

But then, heavy, booted footsteps, creeping surely across the rubble-dusted floor. Pooch could see the bright sweeps of the strangers' flashlight through the cracks in the door and, gripping her whistle in her fist, she waited.

With a nod, Raven hustled down the corridor. The hair on the nape of her neck began to rise peculiarly. Glancing back, she saw what seemed like a drone. "RUN!" She screamed, grabbing Navi again.

Zeke crouched behind the truck and held his breath. The only sound he could hear was the whistle of the wind and distant shouting. The other teams must have found one of the others. He needed to evac them all before anyone gets killed. He peeked over the truck quickly. There were three Eons milling around, slowing moving towards the truck. That fact struck Zeke as strange. They knew he was here, why only send three to take him out?

Zeke suddenly felt something strangely familiar. He could feel the cosmic forces that were time and space bending close to him. This was strange because he wasn't doing it. In a flash, a flaming fist arched towards his head and struck him in the cheek. He could feel his flesh burning and his head snapped back and hit the metal of the side of the truck. He rolled to his left as another flaming fist sped towards him, missing him and slamming into the side of the truck. He recovered and touched his cheek. It burned like hellfire and he was sure it was not pretty to look at. Looking at him with the eyes of a killer. This eon was different from any other he had come in contact with. He seemed to flicker as he struggled to stay in this timeline. His fists looked like a lump of melted wax, fire crackled from an unknown source and licked up his forearms. This must be the Eon that Pooch and Ryan ran into.

Zeke rose to his feet and drew his own beam weapon. A pink laser arced through the truck window and caused Zeke to duck again. He was surrounded and couldn't see Carissa anymore. He needed to get out of there or he was dead. He put his hand against the truck and it vanished along with his only cover. As soon as he was exposed the lasers started and Zeke dropped to his knee. A perfect semi circle was cut out of his calf where a beam vaporized the muscle and skin. He clapped his hands together and closed his eyes.

When he opened them again everything was still. Lasers hung in the air and his enemies stood like statues. He stopped the time flow for now but he could already feel the tension of time wanting to continue. Like the grinding of gears in a clock. The fiery Eon was no where to be seen and Zeke hoped that it was frozen as well. He whipped out his journal and wrote a quick entry.

Anyone available. Get to my location now. Team ambushed. Need Evac NOW

Hopefully his alternate selves would get the others to safety. He suddenly felt the pulse of time energy again. This time he was ready. He transported himself a few meters to the left. The Time traveling Eon reappeared and swung at the space he was standing before. Zeke drew his weapon and fired at the abomination. It vanished again and the chase was on.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not to far away, another special Eon was strapped into a suspended ring. Cables draped over the frame attached to his spine and top of its swollen head. Another Eon sat cross legged with a small console on his lap. Images of things to come flashed across the screen as a program searched through the captive Eon's mind. He smirked when the exact locations of each of the Heroes pinged on a map that appeared on the screen. The control Eon typed a few commands and uploaded the information into the troop's mind jacks. The Captive Eon groaned, it's white eyes rolled in their sunken sockets. The control Eon Set the console to the side and rose from his seat, "Now now. Don't fuss", he said in a soothing tone. the Eon pressed a needle into a IV drip and injected the liquid into the Eon's veins, "There you go. Go back to sleep. We need our Seer in working order if we are going to rid the planet of these Heroes", he said, spitting the last word like it taste bad. The clairvoyant Eon compulsed once then fell limp. It's labored breathing slowed into a gentle wheeze. The control Eon smiled and went back to his job finding the guardians.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Zeke was flickering up the side of the tipped building, Teleporting from foothold to foothold. Every time he vanished, a fireball would explode against the side of the building. It soon caught ablaze and smoke mixed in with the dust and ash suspended in the air. The Flickery Eon follow up the side of the building in the same manor as Zeke. Flickering from foothold to foothold and throwing fire every time it became solid. Zeke was running out of building as the half resting on the neighboring skyscraper stretched out above him. He planted his feet and lept backwards into space. The heat of a fireball burned his legs as it streaked past him and hit the building above him. He stretched out his hand and froze the explosion before it reached him. Zeke vanished and reappeared across the street in the adjacent building. Zeke didn't get time to rest as a fireball exploded above his head. He froze that explosion like the rest. Sweat poured down his face, leaving trails in the dirt and ash that covered his body. Flickery roared in frustration and threw a barrage of rapid fireballs. Zeke barely teleported our of the way before they slammed into the building. Zeke reappeared at street level running. He clapped his hands and time returned to normal. He glanced over his shoulder to see every explosion Flickery caused go off at once. The building buckled from the stress and broke free of its supports. Zeke put his head down and pushed his legs to move faster. The burning skyscraper slammed into the street, sending a shock wave through the ground and cloaking a four block area in a thick dust that was ejected from the wreckage. Zeke rummaged through his bag until he found his respirator. He strapped it to his face and paused. The skyscraper he used as a weapon was now a hundred foot pile of twisted steel and concrete. He prayed that flickery was one of the Eons crushed under the hundreds of tons of debris. Zeke turned on his heel and booked it through the thick smoke and dust. He needed to find a new place to meet up with his team.
