Ceto

Ceto snickered sarcastically and narrowed her eyes. The woman was very happy with this man that they had transfered over to the Italian Creed. "I can't just drink you under the table, I can drink you all of the way to hell." she said, grinning at him and showing slightly crooked teeth. "Why don't you go and unpack your bag. I would have thrown you overboard and forced your head under water until your lungs have enough of it, if you weren't a mere newbie. You need to learn respect." it was quite the amusing sight, a short woman demanding respect from a tall man.

"Oh, come on, Ceto. Leave the boy alone." a man with long and tangled, wavy blond hair stepped up behind Ceto, and raised an eyebrow at Cullen. "You were like that when you were a fledgling."

"How many times have I told you to mind your own business, Castiel." Ceto said, glowering to the side.

Cullen smiled. "Aye, Captain." He turned on his heel and walked down the stairs below deck. He asked around and there were some bunks open in the back. He threw his bag down and knelt before his chosen bed to pray, since he was missing mass. Again.

Heidi walked up to the deck and grinned. "We got a ginger?" She asked, not to anyone in particular, but her gaze rested on Castiel and Ceto. "He's kinda cute. He's got some balls from what I heard of your conversation, cap." She said with a grin on her face. "Gonna whip'em into shape, or are 'ya gonna let him run wild?" He was the navigator, and if he had any sort of mettle, he would be an officer on the ship.

[Yayyyyyy!]

Ceto glanced up at Heidi. "Well, I'm going to whip him into shape. We've had too many unbroken stallions in the stable already." she snapped.

Castiel grinned. "Oh, but he is quite the handsome fellow. Not more handsome than I, but..." he shook his head. "... Would you consider me an unbroken stallion?"

"You've been broken since you ever breathed on this ship." Ceto retorted, punching the man.

Poppy grinned at Castiel. "You're the most whipped sailor on the ship." She walked past him and whispered in his ear, "I love that in a man." Her grin grew devious and dirty. Toying with men was an art, and she considered herself a student of the craft. "Perhaps you could just sleep with him, like riding a horse until he's broken?" She jested. She cracked jokes like that to anyone and everyone, regardless of rank or situation. She could back up her words with fists.

Ceto

Ceto raised an eyebrow at the actions of Poppy. Castiel, however, grinned more crookedly and darkly than her, and kept his eyes on her. "Oh? You think I'm broken, then? I'm not broken at all. The men who are free are the most..." at that, he caught Ceto's unamused expression, and he cleared his throat before glancing away. "I should... Go and make sure everything's prepared for sailing." he explained as he walked off.

Oh, Castiel was the most broken man on this boat. He thought he wasn't, but he was Ceto's puppet- that was why he was quartermaster. Heidi said something that made her flush and she ground her teeth together. "You go and work, Heidi." she told her, setting her hands on her hips and hissing out the words. "Last time I checked, Garrett needed some help with finding the tools used to fix the scratches on the hull. I don't know where he put them, and he's going crazy looking for them in the storage."

Poppy snapped at attention and threw out a salute like British sailors. "Aye, aye, Capitan!" She joked before heading off to find Garrett in the storage. "Oh, Garrett." She called. "Where ye be?" The storage was messy and Garrett never cleaned the damn thing, niether did anyone, really.

Garrett

Where the hell were those things? He was growing tired from rummaging around and messing everything up just so he had to fix them again. But if Ceto found out that he couldn't fix the ship.. He would be tied to the hull. And that would be embarrassing. Suddenly, someone stepped in, and he raised his brown eyes to the woman that walked in and called his name. It was this "Poppy"... Heidi was the real name. Someone told him to watch out for her, that her name wasn't taken from the pretty flower, but for her breaking of necks. Swallowing, he stood up and walked over. "I'm here, Heidi." he said. "What do you need? I'm sorry for the mess, just trying to find my tools. Don't tell Ceto."

"Oh, Ceto knows." Poppy told the man. "She sent me down to help you look for them. Besides, how hard is it to find a hammer on a ship? There's only so many places it could be, right?" Unless someone dumped in the sea. Then... Well... Garrett might be in for some trouble. "You might wanna pick up the pace, too. You never know what you might get from cap." She picked up a crate and set it on a table to sift through. "What're we looking for exactly? Can't find a golden egg in a field if you're looking for a silver one."

The man frowned. "It's all the tools. They were in a small crate." Garrett explained, looking away. "They were right here when I left."

"Oh!" Poppy said. "Oh you're screwed." She laughed a little and added, "If you can't find'em, then they might've gone overboard, been stolen or someone might just have them." She sat on a chair, crossed her legs and rubbed her chin. "Was the crate marked, or was it bland? That might be the end of you."

Garrett scratched his chin when Poppy said he was screwed. He wasn't literally screwed... Right? It wasn't his fault that the tools had disappeared! The British man looked to the side and sighed, a worried expression on his face. Oh, god, Ceto was going to get him... She had already beaten him up once! And that was because of something that he said... She was one tough cookie. "It was marked with red paint." he explained, crossing his arms and looking back at Poppy. Well, this German woman didn't seem to be concerned for his wellbeing at all. His brown eyes watched her closely for a moment, wondering if she really did care. Then, he turned to the crates again and began to rummage around. There were so many boxes... Ones full of mysterious papers and notes and books that had no titles.

Tessa walked out onto the deck, wandering around, looking for Ceto. "Ceto! Did Casio just leave?" She asked, already knowing half the answer. "I wanted to go over the numbers again and-" She noticed Castiel was with Ceto. "Oh. Perhaps I could talk to you later then?"

((I need to stop eating candy corn. It makes my jaw tingle after awhile.))

Poppy snickered at Garrett and said, "Well, you're not so unlucky." She stood up and walked over to him, tapping him aggressively on the head. "You're an assassin, nimwit. Use your Eagle Sense." She knew he was only a Disciple, but he should know how to use it. "Use what God gave ye', kid." He was older than her, but she felt like she knew infinitely more than him. "How else would you find something in this mess?" She flopped back into her chair and stared at him, waiting. She didn't like using her Sense around the normal crew because it set her apart, but they were both assassins here.

After stowing his things away and securing his few valuables on his person, Cullen walked back up from the quarters. He'd taken a short look around the interior of the ship but hadn't really spoken to anyone. There were various languages floating around the ship, and he knew only two fluently. German was another story. He'd learned that out of necessity of survival, so he never learned it properly, and it wasn't something he could call upon easily or without thought. He stepped back onto the deck and saw someone he hadn't seen earlier, a woman, roughly the same age as him. He nodded in silent greeting as he passed by, looking around the deck of the ship, getting a feeling for his surroundings. He thought he might investigate the crow's nest at a later time.

"Ah! Right. Eagle Sense." Garrett agreed, raising his finger at the point. It was then that he remained silent, watching her. "I... Don't know it. I mean, I can't know it. Aha, mentor told me that it wasn't in me." he flashed her an awkward grin and tipped his head to the side. Garrett was a good man, but he was extremely awkward around people of the opposite sex- whether he liked them or not. It was just that he didn't know how women thought, and when he spoke he said things he thought that women would like, but it turned out that they didn't... "Listen, maybe we just need new tools? They were getting old and rusty anyway. Better to replace them now than them breaking in the middle of the ocean." he was trying to get off of the topic of him not knowing how to use Eagle Sense. He wished he could. It looked interesting, and maybe people would see him more worthy than now? It would surely be great if he could. He could find the key to the kitchen...

Ceto

Ceto glared at Castiel as he began to sing a tune next to her from France. It was something she had grown up with, but it was an annoying little tune that got on your nerves when you weren't in the mood... Which was now. The man was leaning on the railing, singing in his French voice, when her first mate came up. At that, Castiel straightened and glowered. In all seriousness, Castiel hated any English people that came on board ship. He said that they were all a bunch of prissy cowards, and he went on a rampage when she named Theresa her first mate and not him. Castiel was a good man, but not good enough to be first mate. "Don't mind Castiel." Ceto said. "What about numbers?"

((What's up with the key to the kitchen?))

Poppy frowned at him for a moment. "You're an assassin, boy. We all have it. Hell if I know why, but I've yet to meet one who didn't. You just gotta apply yerself." She paused, then laughed at herself. "Oh my, I sound like a mentor. Hah! I'm not your master, I could care less if you can use it. Gimme a second." She closed her eyes tight and relaxed her muscles for a minute, dead silent. When she opened her eyes they were gold and blazing. They darted around the room rapidly before she closed them again and inhaled slowly, then let it out. "Alright." She said, standing. "They ain't here. I dunno what 'ye did with'em, but we'll probably need a new kit before we go pillage villages and the like."

"How about that Casio was here again and that I have enough supplies for one more voyage. And that I could only barely manage to buy enough food for said voyage." Theresa said, rolling her eyes at Castiel. "I couldn't even afford any new swords or tea Ceto!" She whined, half serious and half jabbing at Castiel's sore spot. "Tea! We simply have to come into money before I have to start attempting to remain calm on deck without it." She was being over dramatic, but the point was still true. Most people likened her to a demon when she hadn't had any tea. The dresses were unnecessary, but she did like some of the ones in the windows. If only she had the funds to buy one with... "Imagine, a day without tea anywhere in sight. How awful!"

Garrett

Garrett glanced at Poppy. What didn't she get? He wasn't a born assassin! He didn't know Eagle Sense! Nor could he! He grunted, a bit peeved when she said that they had to get new tools. "I suppose you wouldn't know a cheap place to go and get new supplies? Ceto's last paycheck was a bit... Thin."

Ceto

The captain of the Sista Viska rolled her eyes and sighed. "We don't need tea, we need rum. That's what we drink. We aren't some British convoy patrolling the Atlantic." she growled. "Perhaps at the next stop we'll get some tea. Okay?"

"A lady doesn't drink rum, and you'd do well to remember that we don't have enough to spring for anything outside of food and pay." Tessa replied, crossing her arms. "I imagine they'll mutiny inside a week. A shame really, I don't enjoy dulling my blade on bones..."

Ceto

Ceto scowled at her first mate when she spoke of mutiny. Theresa was very straightforward... She didn't see the other ways of solving things. That was why Ceto had to tell her to open up her eyes. There were other ways of solving things like this. "Theresa, there will be no mutiny. I will make sure of that." she told her first mate, narrowing her eyes as she looked away. "As soon as we set sail, we'll go and attack a few boats. Maybe a fishing boat as well. They seem to have a lot of money on board." her blue eyes looked back up at her, cool and calm. "I promise that they'll be no mutiny. I've been running this operation for a while now. No matter what happens, I always find a way to solve something. It's in my blood."

"Yeah, I know." Poppy said, feeling her own coin purse. "Anyways, I don't really know much about workshops or anything, but there's this guy I go to for ammo and when my blades are dull, you know, when we're actually in Rome." She began to walk from the storage to the stairs. "C'mon, 'll show you the place. It's on the harbor and everything.

"I trust you, but I am worried about attracting too much attention. Perhaps the Templars know how much we are hurting? They might disguise a ship to look like a sailing vessel, and blast anyone who gets close." Tessa said, thinking out loud. "Either way, I suppose I have to get dressed in that dreadful man's garb, no use getting blood on my dress…"

Garrett

This woman was offering to show him around? Really? Garrett blinked and rubbed his chin, wondering for quite a while if he should follow her around or not. She sure was tough, but she didn't seem like the type of person to grab him and throw him into the gutter after stabbing him a few times. Which made him agree that he should go... Well, agree with himself. Not to mention that he would need some serious help with speaking Italian. Italian was the core language on this boat, seeing as a few already knew Italian and the captain was Italian as well. They even spoke it at the moment, but the words wouldn't roll off of his tongue right due to his dense English accent. Someone would have to escort him around and properly speak to an Italian... If not, he would be completely and totally lost as he wandered around. "Fine, you can show me around." he said, crossing his arms. He was really itching to get those tools... If Ceto found out he had lost them... Oh, he would be dead.

Ceto

Well, she made some sense... Ceto crossed her arms and looked at her closely. Theresa was a wonderful woman, but she would never admit it. The dark haired, bright eyed captain woman would never let any praise escape her lips, oh no, not one. It was rare for her to even give a truthful smile to anyone. Chuckling, she ran a hand through her hair. "I promise that we won't let any Templars get the best of us. Okay?" she told Theresa. At her comment about dresses, she furrowed a brow and looked back at Castiel, who had given up on listening to the British woman speak and walked off, hands in his pockets. Ceto groaned internally and raised a hand to her forehead. That was why she didn't pick him as first mate. Sometimes he would walk off when he wasn't in the mood to listen and then... She clenched her fists and growled. "I need a drink." she muttered darkly, popping open one of her flasks and tipping it against her lips. Ah, ale, wine, rum... It was all of the gods to her!

"More like you can follow me around." Poppy corrected. "I'm offering a service out of the goodness of my obsidian heart. I don't take pleasure from it." She stepped up in deck and as she passed Ceto she said, "Cap! Gotta run an errand. Don't leave without me, I'm taking your carpenter as collateral." She grinned and strode down the gangplank. Her clothes weren't exactly ladylike, and she had few dresses, but her posture straightened out and stride became less aggressive. She knew from experience, a woman who showed off her assets got a better bargain, and years of learning that very thing came in handy. Every now and again she thought another going out on the town with Theresa, but she would have to get some kinda drink to do it for a whole evening. "Keep up, slowpoke." She called over her shoulder. "Or I'll leave you lost in the city." They weren't actually going to leave the harbor.

Garrett

Garrett laughed awkwardly as he walked up onto the deck. He wasn't sure if Poppy's heart was as black as she made it sound like... Either way, he wasn't getting in her way. They passed by the captain, who looked up from drinking to shrug. "You can keep him! He's got too big of a mouth! Makes it harder to feed him!" she laughed. Garrett rolled his eyes and continued to follow Poppy, but he was lost in the beautiful scenery of Rome. The cobblestone streets... The wonderful aromas! The only thing he wasn't too happy about was the excessive heat. It was only when Poppy called back did he realized he was being left behind. Great. Just great. Rushing up to her and bumping into her by accident, he looked up at her. He forced a puppy look on his face. "Don't leave me!" he begged. Garrett was quite the good actor if you let him be one.

Theresa dropped her guise of airheadedness when Castiel left. "Ceto, I really am worried that pillaging ships won't cover the costs. I trust you, but if we don't get enough to cover the ammunition we used, then we're falling into a deficit and we're going to have to disband and sell the ship to try and stop the backslide too much." She said, concern clear in her eyes. She didn't want to bedridden of the crew, nor did she want to have to start over with who knows what left in her pockets. Probably not enough for a cup of tea. "Ceto, let's just be careful when we attack. Conserve ammunition and just charge the ship. If we get enough people on the other ship, then we'll be able to overpower the crew with minor damage to the ship."
