Holiday Clutch Size - Unofficial Statistics

Recommended Posts

Reporting back from this year's results:

2 yules bred: 1 gave 2 eggs, 1 gave 1.

2 snow angels bred: 1 gave 3 eggs, 1 gave 2 egg.

2 ribbon dancers bred: 1 gave 3 eggs, 1 gave 1 egg.

1 holly bred: gave 3 eggs.

All gave at least one egg. All the kept eggs were successfully teleported to new owners, who were ecstatic. All but two were bred with Spriter's alt Shadow Walkers. I'd say this was a fantastic year's breeding results.

i had two of each year except holly, so for each "pair" of holidays, one gave one egg, the other gave four eggs.

Here's what I got for this year:

Yulebuck x Black = 4 eggs

Yulebuck x Black = 4 eggs

Snow Angel x Black = 4 eggs

Snow Angel x Nebula = 3 eggs

Ribbon Dancer x Black = 4 eggs

Ribbon Dancer x Black = 3 eggs

I'd say that's a pretty good average.

I just got my firs holidays this year, so no eggs yet, but I was wondering... When you breed holidays with a dragon of a different type (like a yule with a black) will you always get the holiday egg if you bred them during the holiday breeding time?

Yep. =) Unless, of course, the dragons don't produce any eggs or they refuse.

I threw two quads and two singles. Snow angel and Yule dropped one each, Ribbon and Holly dropped four apiece. Proud to say I kept none of the above. Only one egg was promised out of the four breedings and it made it to the intended recipient just fine.

Of course, someone tried to incite drama over my holly drop on IRC. But you know what? If you're too lazy to look up some ten lines or so to see what's about to drop, it's not my problem when you miss your chance at an even gen 5 PB Thuwed holly. Especially since everyone else in chat knew about my impending breeding binge some 40-45 minutes in advance.

My final total are:

Ribbon Dancer x Gold - 1

Ribbon Dancer X Shadow Walker - 1

Yulebuck x Red - 3

Snow Angel x White - 3

Before breeding, I picked up and gifted some from the AP. I may keep one of the Yulebucks and one of the Snow Angels as my second of each breed, but the first Ribbon Dancer is beautifully named, and about to grow up in her new home, and the last egg is still waiting on my scroll for her probable new home.

My ribbon dancers threw 2 eggs each, my yulebucks threw a single egg & a 3-egg clutch, & my snow angels threw 3- & 4-egg clutches.

The snow angels had a better year this time; last year was comprised of a single egg & a 3-clutch, & my 'bucks produced exactly the same amount of eggs each as they did last year. It will be interesting to see what my holly & my new eggs will add to those totals when next year rolls around.
