A Second Bigfoot?

Toronto Star Edition Issued on July 7th, 2011

Missionaries Paul Ford and Joseph Bailey from farms in Texas, USA, were walking through a village in Brazil early around four in the morning when they came upon a rather interesting sight—a set of massive prints in the sand. One print’s width was nearly the height of Yao Ming; it sank around a metre into the dirt; and it looked like it was from Godzilla instead of an actual footprint.

“At first, I thought it was an actual tourist attraction,” Bailey comments cheerfully, “but then no one had said anything about giant prints like that in Brazil, so yeah. But they looked fresh, too! Paul could tell—he grew around hunting, you see.”

Scientists are now questioning the reason of the enormous prints. Where had it come from? What had caused this? The strange thing is, the prints stretched on for about a mile, and tramped on right past abandoned farms, vegetable fields, and seemed to appear overnight. They seemed to be speeding up in frequency towards the end, and disappears completely, as if whatever creature it was had suddenly taken off in flight. No one had seen anything of the sort pass by their windows at night, and yet, at dawn on July fourth, such prints were discovered by tourists.

“They resemble dinosaur, or large reptile, prints,” says scientist Lora Richfield. “Some of the dinosaur feet bones we have discovered in the past years match these, or are at least quite similar. If there really were a giant creature creating these prints, it would be of that. Maybe even a dragon, seeing as it seems to have ‘lifted off’ toward the end of them.”

While they could be manmade to pull a nice prank, it would have been quite a lot of work for one person or a group of them. Surely they would have been heard during the night. They could be inexplicable like crop circles, their secrets forever unknown, or maybe what they’re hiding will be revealed to us soon! Who knows? Either way, these prints have garnered much attention worldwide over the span of only a few days. –Reporter Adam Penn.

Water Tsunamis; No Earthquake Reported

Toronto Star Edition Issued on October 28th, 2011

South Korea has become the latest tsunami victim. The colourful and bright streets of the Korean country overflowed with water, washed in with multiple waves, on October 25th. Although not large—it has only hit South Korea—the death toll has risen to a frighteningly high number and the missing, even more. Businesses and buildings that were not built against tsunamis were easily destroyed; the ones that were still have some amount of substantial damage done to them. Seismologists all agree that if the South Koreans had been alerted earlier, most of them would have been saved. However, they did not detect any earthquakes in the fault lines that cause tsunamis near the time it happened; tremors were not reported anywhere near the South Korea area. This event is puzzling seismologists, geologists, and every kind of –ologists everywhere.

“Such movement in the Pacific Ocean, if not natural, can only be created by large, large, incredibly large fanning or beating motions similar to a fish or aquatic creature waving its tail or fins to move through the water,” British seismologist Ian McDonald remarks. “Manmade inventions, even to this day and probably into the distant future, will never be able to do that, I believe. Only sea life can, apparently. The chances for that are quite slim as well; we have not recorded any animal or fish that is capable of creating such large movements in the water.”

Like the claw prints discovered in July earlier on this year, this incident has perplexed many of the world’s geniuses. What has caused this? Is the world changing, making these strange occurrences more frequent? South Korean and many other nations’ scientists are attempting to look into this matter. –Reporter Adam Penn.

Plane Damaged and Pilots Terrified

Toronto Star Edition Issued on November 23rd, 2011

A jet named the Pride carrying Sri Lanka’s professional cricket team, flown by native pilots Arunan Kalamegam and Dheevan Saminathan, was damaged quite badly while flying and landed unsteadily and unsafely on the nearest run way in Egypt, which was half of their trip on their way to the UK, on November 19th.The jet’s right wing was cracked and nearly falling off, long scrapes were etched into the same side of the plane, and the cargo hold was found to be almost visible through the crunched up metal. Fortunately, there were only minor injuries and no deaths, but the pilots Kalamegam and Saminathan and some of the passengers were scared out of their wits. Their report on what happened scared us out of our wits. We managed to secure an interview with the pilots.

“We could see quite clearly out our windshields, as there were no clouds and the sky was a wonderful blue,” says Kalamegam (translated from Tamil), “but while we were flying over Egypt an object appeared on our radar. We thought it was another plane that didn’t have a radar installed, but the object was travelling much too fast, faster than any plane’s speeds we have ever seen. We tried to move the Pride aside but the thing was speeding up…” Saminathan agrees with his co-pilot at this point in our interview with them.

“And then we could see it,” Saminathan continues, “through our windshields. It was… I think it was blue. It was so big”—Kalamegam adds vehemently, “It was winged!”—“and the stewardesses were ordering the passengers to brace for impact and they were telling them they would be alright but I was sure we were going to die. We could hear the rushing sound as it neared us. The thing was going so fast, I didn’t even realise it had changed directions. It just… it slowed down too. I think it was surprised to see us there, so only a side of the Pride was damaged.”

Kalamegam then shakes his head, and tells our interviewer, “I think the wings of the thing sliced into the jet, we could feel the whole jet shake. It was worse than the most violent turbulence. The noise from the screeching metal being crunched was so loud. I think the thing was frightened by it and it… It kind of … swerved away into the air, like how a fish or a really flexible animal just slithers away. We twisted around and we saw it fly away.”

One of the shaken stewardesses, Fiona Willow from USA, claims it is a dragon, as she had seen it soar through her window for only a split second. “It was flying so fast!” exclaims Willow, “It must have been more than three hundred miles per hour.”

The whole world is fascinated yet terrified of this event. Is this related to the previous two incidents of the inexplicable tsunami and claw prints? Do such things such as dragons—winged, monstrous and larger than the Pride—exist? If there is a sky dragon like what had happened to the Sri Lankan jet, would the explanation of the tsunami be a sea dragon? There have been allegations to police and animal control that there are massive, winged creatures out at night and day. Most have been dismissed as nonsensical and lunatic reports, but however, this solid testimony with proof from the two Sri Lankan pilots and a few stewardesses bring those claims into the light. This has become a worldwide matter now and the subject of many conversations all over the globe. –Reporter Adam Penn.

Sightings of Creatures

Toronto Star Edition Issued on January 12th, 2012

Scientist camps based in the Arctic are leaving behind their work and returning back to their families in fits of fright, claims government of USA. All the scientists allege that they have seen dragons. Fiona Willow, stewardess of the Pride (refer to Edition Issued on November 23rd), had claimed to have seen a dragon, and theses scientists confirm it. While skeptics still exist and strongly believe that these scientists, Fiona Willow, and the two Sri Lankan pilots have all officially lost their minds or are hallucinating, most of the world is now either shaking in fear or reading every detail with immense curiosity and affixation.

The scientists of the US camp assert that on Day 67 of their stay there, they had just woken up and gone outside to check their instruments when they saw a “monumental dragon—or winged reptile, if you don’t believe in dragons—covered in snow, its tail a bright electric blue, and massive wings that shook off snowflakes every time it moved”. One of the scientists went as far to say it was around two thirds of the height of the Statue of Liberty. Another stated that it was too hard to estimate how tall it was through the snow, but it was clear that it was incredibly big. Just how quickly, however, it took off in flight, and the scientists claimed that it flew away and landed in the distance on top of a mountain, where, on closer look, a second, gigantic, dragon perched. They testified it was blue in colour and they “felt cold upon laying their eyes on it”. When our interviewer asked one of the unnamed scientists what it looked like, he had exclaimed that once he had grabbed his binoculars, he could see it had icicles hanging off of every inch of its skin and that dangerous spikes that looked sharper than a knife protruded from its enormous, harsh yet somehow entrancing, head.

Governments all over the world are looking into this matter, as they fear that if such creatures do exist, then they will possibly want to destroy the earth. Some argue perhaps they are peaceful, and some argue some more that they do not have the intelligence capacity to do it; “they are mere animals”. –Reporter Adam Penn.

Creatures Confirmed

Toronto Star Edition Issued on February 27th, 2012

Dragons were confirmed on February 15th (refer to Edition Issued on February 16th) upon the discovery of two eggs, the size of refrigerators and grey in colour, in Omsk, Russia. They were found under the Leningrad Bridge over the Irtysh River, and by the state of the shaking of the eggs, they were about to hatch soon. Scientists moved the two eggs into a laboratory and cracked one open prematurely, killing whatever was inside. A grey hatchling with velvety skin, almost fully developed from inside the egg, was found. The other egg had not hatched yet. A few days later (February 18th) a dangerous storm hit Omsk and surrounding cities. Rain fell and lighting struck while unexplainable hurricanes and flooding rushed through the area (refer to Edition Issued on February 19th). Damage, missing and death toll has risen to terrible numbers and citizens blame the scientists for taking the eggs and killing one of them.

“The great grey dragon can sense its child dead!” exclaims Agafya Payloski in urgent Russian, “Why did the scientists do this to us!? What else can the dragon do to punish us?!” She has recently lost a child of her own in the flooding that had occurred in her city.

Most people believe the storm was a simple coincidence, but days later more eggs were found in different parts of the world, ranging in different colours and designs. Scientists touched them and cracked one of each type open. Here in Canada, three eggs, green in colour, and roughly larger than the grey eggs found in Omsk, were found in Alberta on February 24th(refer to Edition Issued on February 24th). One of the eggs were cracked open prematurely and killed, and a green hatchling with startlingly red eyes was found. The next day, the area of Alberta was hit with an earthquake. Scientists are now reluctant to touch any of eggs found in the near future.

Other News: Dragon sightings have been confirmed all over the world: a horse-like dragon covered in an oil-like, moist, secretion on the shore of Woodside Beach by people walking their dogs; black and yellow dragons with sparks from their wings frequenting electricity plants around the US; and slightly smaller green dragons with colourful wings flying from one tree to another under their canopies in Brazil. Dragons are confirmed to exist. –Reporter Adam Penn.

Dragon Attacks

Toronto Star Edition Issued on March 8th, 2012

Governments claim dragons have begun attacking. Just last night, the same grey dragon from Omsk, Russia, stirred up a massive snowstorm in Northern Europe—the dragon was seen to be beating its great wings and causing strong, frigid winds to blow violently over the countries. Already, many people have died from the effects of any of these dragons, and there has been a report of someone freezing to death by having cold air blown on himself by the dragon sighted in the Arctic by scientists (refer to Edition Issued on January 12th, 2012).

“We do not underestimate their power,” says Danish government official Annika Peivand, “it is better to overestimate, as we have no idea of what these monsters are capable of.”

Governments all over the world have formed a lead squad of Army elites from each country. WDE, World Dragon Enforcement, allows only top Army soldiers into the organization according to an unnamed source. Not many details have been revealed about this squad, but it will be leading the war against the dragons with the soldiers of the Army. –Reporter Adam Penn.

U n d i s c l o s e d I n f o r m a t i o n

It’s March 2012, and dragons have been confirmed all over the world out of the blue. They were recorded to have fallen asleep long ago before dinosaurs were born, and now have woken up. People question the reason why, but the main focus right now is on survival—the dragons are unleashing havoc on the humans for the damage (pollution, erosion, etc.) of Earth—or at least it seems like survival. Although there are dragons who believe humans do not have a right to this planet, there are some dragons that believe the planet can be equally shared and mean no harm to the humans. Dragons have the emotional and intelligence capacity equal to humans, and possibly more considering their type.

WDE leaders are set to defend humanity against the dragons, but they are believed to only strike back if the dragons attack. They can decide to make treaties, continue with a missile attack, etc.

WDE has five bases—La Rioja, Argentina (first number and nicknamed LRA); Iqaluit (Nunavut), Canada ( second number and nicknamed IC); Aosta, Italy (third number and nicknamed AI); Kelamayi, China (fourth number and nicknamed KC) and Maseru, Africa (fifth number and nicknamed MA).

One team is assigned each base, and each one has 4 Army official leaders. You must be a skilled and experienced army officer to become part of any WDE team. A team is nicknamed with its base nickname and the number of it. For example, if you are from the WDE team based in La Rioja, you would be part of LRA1. If from Iqaluit (Nunavut), you would be part of IC2, and so on.

In this roleplay you can choose to be a WDE leader, a dragon, or another human who is striving to earn the trust of dragons and befriend them or vice versa. Do you want the war between dragons and humanity to keep going until one side dies or do you want it to end in peace?

Character Species/Type: (Dragon/Dragon Type or human or WDE leader (which is a human).)
Character Gender:
Character Age: (For dragons, this would be a huge number. Have fun with your dragon age, so long as it’s past 10,000 years LOL.  With humans, well, that’s self explanatory. If your human’s over 10,000 years old… frankly, your human’s gonna get kicked out.)
Character Personality: (What is your character like? Quiet, outspoken? Obnoxious, loud?)
Character History: (There’s not much to write for dragons except for things that have happened before they were all cast to sleep, but for humans (especially WDE leaders), write how they grew up and what’s happened along the way to their position now. I expect a couple solid paragraphs at least.)
Character Appearance: (Pictures are accepted, but you have to have something written too.)

WDE LEADERS

Username and nickname: xFlame990 and Flame

Character Name: Nathan Banbury

Character Species/Type: Human/WDE Leader

Character Gender: Male

Character Age: 33

Character Personality: Outgoing and friendly, Nathan is a pleasant man to be around. He enjoys others’ company but works just as great as an independent figure. He isn’t hesitant to step up to the plate and take the leading role and continue with a mission—he didn’t get on WDE for nothing—and he tries to reach out to everyone, compassion and optimism being a large part of his psyche. He loves playing sports and the outdoors: he regularly bikes, hikes if he can, play a good game of soccer, football, or volleyball. He enjoys generally staying active, and he loves to laugh.

Nathan is a bit quick-headed, sometimes jumping to conclusions. He tries his best to maintain a cool head, but sometimes, unfortunately, fails. He’s a more easygoing person and is not as stubborn as he should be, despite himself, and sometimes has second thoughts about whether he has made the right choice or if he was fair enough. He is the type, if in a middle school, would be the class joker but still bend to the more popular kids’ will in an effort to “fit in”. He likes being the centre of attention, and is just a little bit conceited in this manner.

Character History: Nathan Banbury was born in a rundown hospital in Quebec, Canada to a struggling family of three—his African-Canadian parents and his three sisters and brother. He grew up learning French and English, and can speak both languages fluently. Nathan looked up to his more disobedient, older only brother quite a lot and so at the age of 13—his brother 19—Nathan joined a street gang despite his parents’ horror. Nathan was quite the rebellious child at the time, and returned home at late hours when he was only 14. He attended three years of high school and in the fourth year, he dropped out, going for graffiti tagging and drugs instead. The same year, his mother, brother and sisters were killed by a hit-and-run—and Nathan soon learned that the driver of the car that had killed his mother was a fellow gang member (later caught and put away). Furious, Nathan left the gang and was shot in the leg in the process. Fortunately, he was alright, and can still walk/run properly, although there is a scar.

Nathan kick-started his education once again, regretting his previous choices, and wanting to redeem himself to his distraught father again. At 20 years old, he graduated high school with excellent honours and marks. Boosted by this and his determination, the young man trained to be a professional volleyball player, and was offered scholarships to different universities. However, he began to prefer the choice of being part of the Army and serving his country. Making a U-turn, Nathan instead took into Army camps and honed his skills as a leader, soldier, and Army infantry official. Reaching 25 years old, he started serving in Afghanistan with the Canadian Forces, and was recognised for his leadership skills and general physical skills. Nathan began to escalate to a top position in the Army, eventually becoming a first youth choice after veterans for officials everywhere much to his delight. Once WDE was formed in 2012, Nathan signed up right away and was accepted right away into the Iqaluit base. He still maintains enjoyable contact with his father (writing letters, phoning, etc.).

Character Appearance: Nathan has dark skin, shaved dark hair, and almond shaped eyes from his African heritage, and has well-defined features with a narrow nose and slightly flush lips. Being an Army officer, he is quite fit and muscled, being a tall six foot one, weighing 175 pounds. Inky black tattoos line his muscled arms, abdomen, chest, legs—basically everywhere. Some are a collection of his not-as-memorable past, and some of his fortune now. Nathan has the scar from getting shot when he attempted to leave his gang when he was 17, and he has several other scars—getting stabbed and scratched—from that time as well. However, he has more heroic ones: battle scars such as ones from shrapnel and bomb effects. Casual day wear for Nathan would be a plain tight-fitting t-shirt and saggy sweatpants, with perhaps a hoodie thrown over top. He has running shoes on all the time, and a small, barely noticeable earring hangs on his left ear. He is always seen smiling.

Other: IC2. He has had a colour tattoo of the icy blue dragon described in previous reports freshly inked onto his skin, on the back of his neck—he personally thinks, after seeing the photos from scientists, that these “dragons” have their own majestic beauty.

Username and nickname: 9pmg5665. pmg, 9.

Character Name: Brad

Character Species/Type: WDE leader

Character Gender:Male

Character Age: 24

Character Personality: Brad is known as arrogant, mean, and all around just plain rude. He never holds back and is crude but some like it when he comes out. He is the best combat expert most have seen but gets angry easily, breaking guns over heads.

Character History: Other then a normal life, he was always the nice, mean, or quite one in school. He has no reason that he is multi personal. He only got into WDE because he has exceeded every possible test

Character Appearance: He wears the uniform ( If there is one) For the WDE. But without that, his almost ethereal skin matches his silver-ish blonde-ish hair. He wears very dark jeans with a good skin complexion that match his blue turtle neck. His bed-raggled hair keeps its way and his blue eyes never ever shine. Even with a flash light shining in it.

Other: N.E.W.K. Never, ever, won't, kill. Stationed at IC2.

Username and nickname: xFlame990 or Flame

Character Name: Astrid Tang

Character Species/Type: WDE Leader

Character Gender: Female

Character Age: 26 years old

Character Personality: Astrid is a smooth talking, fast-paced and honest woman. She is very blunt in opinions, stubborn, and stays lively all the time; she keeps conversations going and is very social. Her way of things are instant and quick. If somebody talked with Astrid, they would have the feeling of having just experienced a mini tornado. Astrid has a speedy reaction to things and a adventurous/courageous heart, and as a result, has tough skin/mentality and is not affected mentally as much when seeing things a normal person would go insane to overtime.

Loyal to her cause, independent and effective, Astrid makes a good leader. She is also very neat and organised--she hates things out of place. While she knows that the dragons are right in the fact that humans have ruined the earth, she still finds importance in defending humanity from the murderous claws of dragons.

Character History: Born in Cannes, France, Astrid has a mixed background of French and Chinese. She grew up in France to a middle-class family and lived a fairly normal and happy childhood with a younger brother. She was the fit and sporty one in high school, but not as great in the academic area--she was one of the ones who were much more bright in street smarts, not academic smarts.

However, as Astrid began to look at different career opportunities, the idea of military appealed to her; how else could she serve her country and what else was more captivating and brave? Astrid had lived a pretty normal and dull life, anyway--if she was to die, she would die in an honourable expedition. Capable of getting through the academic tests with above average results--she passed fitness tests with flying colours--she worked to become a leading official in the Army. As she raised in position, dragons woke into existence at that time, and Astrid applied for the WDE base in Aosta, Italy (AI3) and was successful in her search for something more exciting.

Character Appearance: Since Astrid is of mixed backgrounds, she looks quite different than regular Europeans or East Asians; she looks odd and out of place. Like her Chinese father, Astrid has thick, ink black hair--light brown in the golden sun--in a long style, usually tied tight in a messy bun. Like her French mother, she has eyes that look like they reflect a November cloudy sky framed with eyelashes just as dense as her hair. She has a dainty nose and lips--just a sprinkle of barely noticeable French freckles on her high cheekbones--with an overall pale complexion. Her father was very tall while her mother was very short; as a result she is somewhere in between, where she is average height--5' 6". Her build is slender and petite, but as she is very fit, muscle lines her body. Astrid is generally dressed in her uniform, or more casually, a long-sleeved t-shirt or cardigan with some comfortable tights or sweatpants--anything to be happy in.

Other: AI3.

Username and nickname: Agent-of-Truth 'Agent'

Character Name: Herman Sanders

Character Species/Type: human- WDE operative

Character Gender: male

Character Age: 23

Character Personality: Herman is quiet and reserved, with a level head on his shoulders. When he speaks, he usually has something important to say, and others listen. He is stern, but fair, and his fellow WDE members respect him greatly for that. Beneath the silent facade is a gentle man, who wants to atone for something horrible in the past that he feels responsible for. This past he tries to keep quiet about, though it may not be the case for long... He has his own agenda.

Character History: Herman was born in the States, but his family moved to Canada when he was about 13. He quickly fell in love with the outdoors, and the great hunting that was practically in his back yard. As time went by, he eventually enlisted in the military, passing through training fairly quickly. Even so, he made time to walk and hunt in the wilderness, and eventually bought a small cabin in that place.

It was on a hunting trip, roughly a week after his 23rd birthday, that he first encountered a large gray creature that he could only describe as a 'Dragon'. The dragon introduced herself as Rahja, and they began meeting in the woods.

To Herman, it was a chance of a lifetime. To converse with a creature so ancient that it predated modern mankind... He began taking journals with him to record their lengthy chats. He learned of her mate Galahon, and that they were planning to raise hatchlings once he awoke as well. He then made the mistake of telling an acquaintance of his, Dr. Wilson Horace, about Rahja and showing him the notes he'd made. He mistook his friend's curiosity for the innocent kind, and thought nothing of telling him the place where he's been meeting with the gray dragoness.

The next time Herman went there, he saw something that horrified him. Rahja was bound, metal hooks digging into her scales and holding thick ropes around her form. Other men were loading her onto the bed of an eighteen-wheeler, and Horace and some other scientists watched, taking notes as she struggled bravely. He confronted Horace, the other simply thanking him for 'offering humanity such an excellent learning opportunity'. He tried to reach Rahja, but others held him down and beat him as she was secured and taken away.

When he woke, he made his way home, only to find his cabin had been burglarized and all but one of his journals were gone. He heard nothing of Rahja for weeks, growing more and more morose and withdrawn, before receiving startling news. A male gray dragon was attacking and killing scientists in the area. Rahja's mate. He immediately enlisted in the WDE, hoping for another attack so he'd be called to investigate. Maybe he'd find that this dragon was indeed Galahon, and find some sort of closure for them both.

Character Appearance: Herman is strong in body from his training in both the military and the WDE; he stands 5' 9" and is of an average build. His hair is black and his eyes are a warm brown. He wears the WDE uniform to standard, and when necessary dons body armor similar to that of a SWAT team member.

Other: works with IC2. Was one of the first humans encountered by Rahja and is indirectly responsible for her death.

OTHER HUMANS

Username and nickname: Dr.Bieber229, Bieber/Dr.Bieber

Character Name: Anoh Lyndell

Character Species/Type: Person

Character Gender: Male

Character Age: 30

Character Personality: Anoh is a shy and hidden man. His fiancée was eaten by a dragon, that's why he is shy and hidden. He used to be outgoing and curious before she died. Her name was Elina.

Character History: Anoh's mother was a rapist when he was little. He was always being raped by his mother until one day when she never came back. He had no father. He was taken in by a family who found him but he ran away with all the food he could carry and would come back often because he stole their key. But he would always go when they were not home. Then, when he was 16 he silently murdered them and lived there until he had enough money to move and buy a small apartment. But, he moved on from then and when he was 18 he met Elina. He had instantly fallen in love with her and they became friends and stayed that way until he was 20 when he asked her out. Then he proposed to her at 29 and she was eaten by a dragon a week before their wedding.

DRAGONS

Username and nickname: xFlame990 and Flame

Character Name: Barwon

Character Species/Type: Water Dragon

Character Gender: Male

Character Age: 13,307 (which would be around the age of a 21-23 year old young man)

Character Personality: Barwon is, plainly stated, a loud, rude and blunt dragon. Upfront and frank about his opinions, he will not hesitate to voice what he thinks even if it’s negative in the presence of dragons who are more than capable of beating him into a pulp, and would be a big supporter of the saying “truth hurts”. He is (sometimes painfully) honourably honest though, and tells the truth every time, unless if it’s a situation that he knows would endanger his life or his loved ones. He has the street smarts and knows how to get out of sticky situations, much like how a human pick-pocket in 1800s London would. He is courageous and tends to be the first one to seek an adventure in a group of friends, and is quite stubborn in the process. Despite his discourteous demeanour, Barwon can be slow to anger and doesn’t get riled up quickly (although he does manage to do the opposite to others just with his sharp tongue). He is rather competitive though, and doesn’t like getting beaten by others in competitions, due to his crowded family upbringing.

Barwon considers humans annoying rather than a threat; he would prefer the earth to be either shared or that the humans move somewhere else. He believes the planet’s rights belong to the dragons, but in the most extreme situation, Barwon would willingly co-exist with humans.

Character History: Barwon was hatched last from a clutch of four eggs, laid by a pair of water dragons in the Atlantic Ocean years and years ago. He had older brothers and sisters—three more of them—and was in a large family. Humans existed then, but there were very few of them and Barwon and his siblings were told they were of no harm (yet). Barwon was almost always outshone by his brothers and sisters, being the youngest in his family, and having several expectations to live up to. By the time all the dragons were mysteriously put under the lulling spell of sleep, Barwon had gained only a little recognition for his spectacular skill at swimming competitively in dragon races.

Character Appearance: [x] Barwon is a typical, plain water dragon with a long, eel-like slender body covered in cerulean blue scales, a pale, sleek underbelly and well-built, translucent fins. Because of his rather too honest personality, Barwon has acquired several scars from scuffles and fights with other dragons about his opinions, dulling a couple of his scales, dried scratches on his belly, and slowly healing tears in his fins. His eyes are an intense navy blue, often having a mischievous glint in them when shooting a new insult at somebody.

Other: Barwon is a brilliant swimmer, better than his brothers and sisters and many other water dragons in the world. He prides himself on this.

Username and nickname: LLD

Character Name: Vrans

Character Species/Type: Dragon: Sunrise

Character Gender: Male

Character Age: 10,000 years old body wise. But he's been frozen for most of that time so he behaves a bit young for a dragon.

Character Personality: Starts off quiet thinking every human is out to kill him. He is loyal if you earn his trust and unless you prove to be a threat he won't attack. When he does get friends he doesn't threaten them either. He hates seeing pain as well. If he has to kill, he'll try to do it fast and painlessly. Even though he's really old he's been asleep for most of his life so far so he's still maturing.

Character History: Hatched with a set of 4 before the sleep came. Not much else aside from normal stuff there. After he woke he was still too young to understand many things. After multiple times of humans trying to get him or kill him he's now fearful of them and will try to avoid them at all times.

Character Appearance: Normal Sunrise dragon looks though he has more of a yellow mixed in with his pinkish look.

Other: He does not like to travel much. But right now due to a detail at the end of this part of the char sheet he is flying around the Canada/US border line near the west coast right now. He may not know it but he's looking for a mate at the moment. This is due to while he was asleep his body continued to mature while his mind was asleep and lacking information and the works.

Username and nickname: Agent-of-Truth 'Agent'

Character Name: Fawngaze

Character Species/Type: Dragon/Terrae

Character Gender: Female

Character Age: 11,235 (if you count the years she slept)

Character Personality: Fawn speaks, walks, and acts with an air of refined confidence and gentle dignity that few can manage. She is by no means vicious, and would much rather talk things out than let them come to blows. She is strongly tied to 'Mother Gaia', and is rather displeased at both the Humans' mistreatment of the world and at some of her fellow Dragons for attacking the Humans in return. She views Humans as clever but weak-bodied creatures, who could use a few well-taught lessons in humility and in the upkeep of their world.

Character History: Before the 'Great Sleep', Fawn was a healer of sorts. Though not by any means as skilled in magical healing as certain other Dragon species, she was excellent at finding more 'natural' healing methods such as herbs and stones. She became rather well known for this practice, but was put into slumber while on her way to check on a hatchling she had healed before.

Character Appearance: Fawn is rather small and dainty for a female of her species, although the average male is still smaller. She is a lush green color, with small but durable antlers on her head, and no wings.

Other: --

Username and nickname: Ryujin13

Character Name: Galahon

Character Species/Type: Grey dragon

Character Gender: Male

Character Age: 11042

Character Personality: Outspoken and easily angered, Galahon has a temper that is the bane of those around him. When calm he is a very nice and easygoing dragon, but get him angry and you had better be able to fly very fast or dig really deep.

Character History: He had a mate before the long sleep, but she woke before he did and went to explore the world. Instead she was killed and taken to a lab where she was discected. Galahon found out and is now on a killing spree, hunting down those that had anything to do with his mates death.

Character Appearance: He looks like a normal grey dragon.

Username and nickname: Backup77, call me Zoroark77, Zoro, 77, Backup77, I don't really care as long as I know you're talking to me.

Character Name: Ananda (The joy without which the universe will fall apart and collapse. Yes, that's a weird name for a Black Dragon, but I want a character named Ananda)

Character Species/Type: (Dragon/Dragon Type or human or WDE leader (which is a human).)

Character Gender: Female

Character Age: Technically, she's 12,328, but her biological age is the equivalent of a nineteen year-old human.

Character Personality: (Sorry for short description, I'm not that good at typing out personalities.) Ananda generally seems cruel when you first meet her, and she has a very low tolerance of humans (like eat them on sight kind of low tolerance). Despite her seemingly cruel nature, she is actually a very happy dragon, although she shuts herself out from others because she thinks they'll hate her because of her breed's reputation. Once she decides that someone doesn't care about her breed's reputation, she starts to open up more.

Character History: Ananda had a fairly normal childhood (or hatchlinghood?), and had two brothers and a sister. When their wings grew and they learned how to fly, they left their parents, although they still had a very strong bond. On the night all of the dragons fell asleep, Ananda, her sister and one of her brothers were out hunting, while the other one of her brothers was resting in a cave. Ananda, her brother, and her sister were stalking a heard of elk, when they fell asleep and landed with a thud on the forest floor.

Ananda's brother that came on the hunt was the first to awake. He stood up, and realized they must have fallen asleep. He didn't realize that they had slept for thousands of years. He looked and saw his sisters still sleeping peacefully, and decided not to disturb them. Instead, he rose into the air in search of more deer. He didn't see deer, though- he saw several strange, two-legged creatures, part orange and part dark green, carrying long sticks. He dove down at them to see what they were, but then one raised its stick and something slashed through his wing. Nothing seemed to have touched it, but there was a small, round hole in his wing. Another creature raised its stick and something pinged off his scales. Whatever these creatures were, they were annoying and might be good to eat. With a roar, he dived down at the creatures.

The roar awoke Ananda and her sister. They stood up, shook leaves off of their scales and ran unsteadily towards the crashing in the bushes. When they reached the scene, which didn't take very long, they saw their brother pinning a strange creature to the ground. The creature picked up a stick lying beside it, raised it, and there was a a loud blast. When Ananda looked again, her brother was, unmistakeably, dead, a round hole where his eye should be.

Ananda didn't really know what happened next. All she remembers is killing one of the creatures, then flying miles back to the cave as fast as the wind would tack her to see if her other brother was okay. When she got there, he was gone. Terrified, she flew back to the place where the creatures had appeared, only to find all of the creatures dead and her sister gone. Now she is looking for her siblings, but hasn't seen a trace of them.

Character Appearance: Ananda is a small dragon, only about nine feet tall at the shoulder. Her horn and claws are kept razor-sharp, and are jet-black, along with the rest of her scales, including her underbelly. Her eyes are a glowing green, and are very sensitive to light, often forcing Ananda into shade if the sun is shining brightly, although they have great night-vision. She is fast and skinny, so she can snake around opponents before they have the chance to react. Her light build makes it difficult for her to land a large blow or tackle something, so instead she tries to inflict small bites and scratches on her opponent whenever possible in an attempt to wear it down before landing a killing blow to the neck, or, in the case of dragons, tear her opponents wings.

Other: Ananda's sister and surviving brother are up for grabs, if anyone wants them.

Username and nickname: Agent-of-Truth 'Agent'

Character Name: Xanlynde 'Lemon'

Character Species/Type: Dragon/Common Pygmy

Character Gender: Female

Character Age: 10,025

Character Personality: Lemon is snippy and nervous, refusing to let anyone get close to her. She has issues with separation, and is highly suspicious of humans. She is deep down a very loving, bright-hearted, and friendly little creature. Her recent encounters with humans have left deep mental scars however, and she may have become slightly unbalanced in her mind because of them.

Character History: Hatched as Xanlynde, daughter of a Common Pygmy father and a Nilia mother. She had only just become an adult and found a possible mate when the Great Sleep came upon her. Ten-thousand years later, she woke confused and alone on the edge of a forest. Beyond the forest stretched a quiet grassy land, dotted frequently with large boxes where odd creatures walked in and out.

She went to get a closer look at one of these boxes, when a large short-haired wolf suddenly grabbed her in its powerful jaws. She fought back fiercely, finally escaping through a gap in a thin metal wall. However she'd been badly injured by the strange wolf's teeth, and her wing now hung limply at her side.

As night fell, she found herself lost among the boxes, listening to the strange sounds of the night in this new world. As she crossed a flat, black surface, one of the smaller of the creatures from the boxes approached her. She hissed and flared her working wing in a feeble threat display, but the creature took hold of her, making soft noises. She tried to bite it, but it held her head away with one limb. She surrendered shortly afterward, deciding that this was going to be the end of her.

It turned out that the creature was not trying to hurt her at all. It brought her into its box, placing her gently on a soft platform and began carefully treating her wounds with strange clear-ish ooze and sticky strips of... something. She wouldn't let it touch her wing however.

Over time, her body's wounds healed. Her wing however became useless and began to wither. She was still grateful to the creature, who she learned was male and named 'Tobee'. Tobee had given her a name too, 'Lemon', like the fruit. She grew fond of Tobee, and of his funny sound-words and habits. One habit that she was less fond of was that some mornings he would disappear, not returning until after midday. He said every time that it was 'skuul'. She didn't like skuul, and one day decided to wait for him by a bright clear wall of the box.

It was then that Tobee's mother found her. The bigger female began letting out loud wails, chasing her around the inside of the box with a long stick with straw tied around one end. She chased her into a smaller, dark part of the box and closed her in. She chattered and scratched at the entrance, but to no avail. Tobee came home, and she began calling for him as soon as she could hear his voice. Tobee. Tobee would help her again! There were loud moises from Tobee and his parents. Lemon. They were talking about her! Lemon friend. Yes! Yes she was Tobee's friend! Surely the biggers would see that. They had to!

But they did not see... The big male opened the door and grabbed her roughly. She did not struggle; she waggled her tail back and forth submissively. He still did not see, even when Tobee said he had to be 'eezee' with her. He roughly put her into a cloth bag and tied the mouth closed. She was taken out of the box and there was much noise. Over it all, Tobee's scared voice echoed in her mind.

She was taken, and put in a tiny box with small barred holes she could see from. Many biggers looked at her with idle curiosity. They stuck her with some sharp thing and made her sleep. When she awoke again her withered wing was completely gone, and a strange, itchy, conical thing was around her neck that made grooming difficult.

She waited in the little box. She snapped at the creatures that came. They were not Tobee. Where was Tobee!? She would only trust Tobee! She continued to wait. The food they gave her was unappealling. She refused it, taking only water. There was only one way out, and she watched it always. Tobee would come for her. He would! He would take her back to his big box and they would be happy again. She just had to keep waiting, and survive.

Character Appearance: She appears to be your standard Pygmy Dragon, being the size of a small housecat. Her body is slightly emaciated, and has multiple scars, showing up as lines of paler than normal scales. Also her left wing has been surgically amputated.

Other: She is strongly connected with Toby, obviously. I suppose one could consider her his 'pet', or 'familiar' if it were the olden days.

Username and nickname: jaina, nickname: sparks

Character Name: Midnight Dawn

Character Species/Type: Dragon, Shadow Walker

Character Gender: Female

Character Age: Well over 100,000 years old.

Character Personality: Midnight Dawn is a sincere, caring dragon who is generally slow to anger. She possess great wisdom and enjoys teaching those who are willing to seek her counsel for advice. Often though, she doesn't give a straight answer, but instead gives a questioner an answer that requires them to think before arriving at the correct solution to their issue. Despite her age and maturity, she is a touch prone to playing pranks on others or joking about when she feels it is appropriate.

Character History: She's been sleeping for the last 235 million years, there isn't really much to talk about...

Character Appearance: Midnight Dawn's body is a great deal darker than a normal shadow walker dragon's body, being nearly black rather than gray. Towards the edges of her wings, along with the tendrils on her head and neck, her colors go from black through a light pink till reaching a light, faded yellow at the very edges. Her eyes are a bright magenta color.

whoa, I have looked at this both yesterday and today and it is really lovely!

There are a few things to correct though and from what I can see, this could definitely be considered a fully literate RP!

Toronto Star Edition Issued on November 23rd, 2011

A jet—the Pride—carrying Sri Lanka’s professional cricket team, flown by native pilots Arunan Kalamegam and Dheevan Saminathan, was damaged quite badly while flying and landed unsteadily and unsafely on the nearest run way in Egypt, which is half of their trip on their way to the UK, on November 19th.The jet’s right wing was cracked and nearly falling off, long scrapes were etched into the same side of the plane, and the cargo hold was found to be almost visible through the crunched up metal. Fortunately, there were only minor injuries and no deaths, but the pilots Kalamegam and Saminathan and some of the passengers are scared out of their wits. Their report on what happened scare us out of our wits.

It was so big”—Kalamegam adds vehemently, “It was winged!”—“and the stewardesses were ordering the passengers to brace for impact and they were telling them they would be alright—did they think it was turbulence?—but I was sure we were going to die. We could hear the rushing sound as it neared us. The thing was going so fast, I didn’t even realise it’d changed directions. It just… It slowed down too, I think it was surprised to see us there. So only a side of the Pride was damaged.”

This has become a worldwide matter now, and the subject of many conversations all over the globe are discussing the existence of such creatures. –reporter Adam Penn.

Your tenses are really off the wall here. You need to be talking in past tense when referring to the interview and then in the paragraph (The whole world) you can go to present tense. But present tense when you are talking about the past is really hard to understand.

(( BUMP. FIRST POST. It's a bit too short for my liking. Please please please join ;) ))

It was serene.

Nothing seemed to disturb the waters of the ocean other than its peaceful and gradual pattern of waves. The bright sun, just having risen in the pale blue sky, shone and reflected off the dark blue water, a few leaves and twigs drifting about. The quiet lapping of the water collaborated with soft chirps from birds, finally discovering that spring was approaching, to become the only sound there was. To the west, a sandy shore could be seen, with dark green pine trees lining the land before it. A few deer peeked out from within the branches before darting away back to their homes; perhaps it was not time to come out yet?

It was just after dawn, and yet a man with a fishing rod sat in a boat gliding close to shore. Perhaps it was a bit too early in the season for fishing, but this man didn’t seem to care. Humming a song, he threw the line out into the water, watching the bait float on the surface. He then kicked back.

A rumbling began, startling the man. The water began to move, ripples broke out everywhere, and the waves twirled erratically like crazed ballerinas. The man jumped up from the boat, which proved he wasn’t an experienced fisherman; his flimsy boat swayed dangerously from side to side, causing him to cry out. He grabbed at his two oars and rowed as furiously as he could back to shore, fighting against the unpredictable currents. Fortunately, he arrived at shore safely, and rolled out, staring at the water in fear. The water continued to swirl, and as the man started to get up and drag his boat back, a gap seemed to open up within the water. The man screamed and fled with his now-broken fishing rod, dropping the fragile oars on the way, into the forest, presumably back to his cottage if he had one. Something began to rise from the opening: a massive, colossal serpent-like creature. A roar that sounded suspiciously like a throaty laugh resounded from the creature’s snout.

Barwon twisted back into the waves, letting his navy blue eyes slide shut as the water washed over his cerulean blue scales, some dulled with scars.

“What an idiot human,” he said aloud to himself, moving through the water with precision. “There aren’t any fish out at this time… And if there were, I’d eat them…” He sighed, drifting aimlessly just below the water surface. He wanted to find any member—any member at all—of his lost family, but ever since he had woken up months ago, he couldn’t locate any one of them.

Vrans walked around the rocky beach. He was sniffing the ground. Still had no idea why. He sighed and sat down looking out into the waves.

Its been a while now since he woke. He had gone to sleep a hatchling almost freshly hatched and woke up fully grown half buried in human filth. He did not know how he got where he had nor did he ever recall growing up. Took days to clean him self up. Now he was a clean sunrise type dragons with a bit more yellow in his coloration.

A unknown feeling drove him to fly around looking for something. He assumed it was a item or a family member. But in all honesty he did not know for what. He heard a human truck in the distance and he retreated to the air hoping to bot be spotted in the sky as he flew up.

He had to teach him self how to fly by him self. This resulted in more then one crashes before. But now he had the hang of it. He then flew down close to the water and flew out to sea for a while.

((That's great! (: ))

Drifting around, feeling lost and uncertain about himself, Barwon let his eyes slide shut. It had been a few hours since he had surfaced the water. IIt was so quiet and peaceful, yet he knew it really wasn't. He had to find his family again, or at least what was left of them. Or maybe even friends... He had seen other dragons roaming the oceans as well, and had even talked to them before. All they had said was that they were either looking for their family and friends or that they were avoiding humans. Almost all of them had been in a hurry, so Barwon had felt left out and lonely. A couple humans had tried to attack him before as well, which had been mildly irritating. He had overheard a few dragons in the canals just above the ocean floor discussing how they had killed a few humans themselves. Barwon had swum away, sick to the stomach. Sure, he didn't like humans too much, but not to the point of murdering some...

Sighing, the great water dragon opened his navy blue eyes again. The sky was an intense blue, an indicator of a sure-to-be sunny day; only one or two white, cotton candy clouds dotted the sky. A few birds soared over his head, before something else did. The dark shadow flitted past his eyes, causing Barwon to jump in surprise and splash the water noisily. Flicking his tail away like a fish, he swam after the shadow, wondering if it was something related to a pterodactyl. Back then, before the strange spell of sleep had hit all the dragons, pterodactyls had just grown into existence. Those large bird-like creatures had been fun to chase after and eat; even older dragons like him and his brothers and sisters had a good kick out of it. However, Barwon slowed down in the wake of the flying creature after he got a good look at it, disappointment dampening his feelings. He shouldn't have gotten his hopes up anyway; he had heard that pterodactyls had become extinct a long time ago.

The shape was just above the water; a sunrise dragon. It was a bit more yellow than other sunrise dragons, which interested Barwon. Discoloured dragons had been a bit common before nowadays; he had learned about something like new-clear power, or whatever he had heard on human television. They'd also come up with an interesting language called in-glish. Apparently it had existed somewhere else from where he had lived. Barwon had asked other dragons about this language and they had explained some of the basics to him. Barwon, admittedly, was impressed by human intelligence. It was intriguing how humans had multiple languages; he recognised a few from the places he'd grown up in.

"Heeeeey!" Barwon called to the yellowish sunrise dragon, still gliding lazily through the cerulean blue water. "Where're you headed?"

Vrans was startled out of his relaxing time as something with a voice loud enough to call to him from far away with out a human thing. He was so startled in fact that he lost his pitch and hit the water. After a bit of struggling he got out of the water and franticly looked around for who ever had called out to him. He soon spotted the source. Another dragon, a water by the looks of it. He pulled up out of reach not knowing how this one would act. "I'm....." he started to answer "I'm..... not headed anywhere." he said after a while "I just want to find something.... but have no idea what it is." he explained. It has been to long since he saw another dragon much less spoke to one. "Where are you headed?" he asked not knowing what else to say.

The yellowish sunrise dragon seemed to be surprised and actually dropped out of the sky into the swirling waters, causing a noisy and spattering slash. Barwon reeled back; he flicked his head to the left and his body followed suit, avoiding the dragon's crash site. Approaching the struggling sunrise, Barwon watched in curiosity as the stranger flailed and eventually pulled up into the sky. The way he was flying made Barwon think he was only a growing hatchling, as if he hadn't been flying for very long, but he looked like he was fully grown. Barwon had watched his airborne friends back when he was younger quite a lot, wishing he could fly... but he had learned to appreciate swimming once he had beat some of his friends in races, of course.

Barwon tilted his head upward, tail drifting on top of the water surface lazily, watching the sunrise as he answered that he wasn't headed anywhere, and that he felt like he was searching for something. The water dragon stared at the sunrise for a few moments, before laughing mirthlessly.

"Lookin' for somethin'? Don't you mean your family, friends, and mate? There ain't much to look for these days, with humans and everything," he commented, flipping his tail upward and idly watched droplets plummet back toward the water before bitterly adding, "'m startin' to think mine have been killed." It was true; why else could he not find any of his family members so close to where they had been pushed under that spell? He had woken up precisely where he had grown up and where he had been asleep; he vaguely remembered some of his siblings fighting near where he was. Not being able to find them made him frustrated so quickly and so easy despite the fact Barwon wasn't a fast-tempered dragon at all.

Shrugging it off with a sigh under his breath, Barwon turned his attention back to the floating sunrise. "'m not headed anywhere... like I said, can't find none o' my family. Can't find nothin'. Humans think they're sufferin', but look at us! We just woke up an' everythin', and we don't find no one." He narrowed his eyes. "What's your name? I'm ... 'm Barwon."

I'm ... 'm Barwon."

((Ack sorry forgot to check here *adds this to list of tabs so I don't forget again*))

Vrans listened and watched the water. He seemed to be frustrated if anything. He got a bit nerves when the water narrowed its eye's at him. He thought that met he was in trouble. That's what humans did when they knew he was hiding and was about to try something after he gave them a chase they did not want or something. He raised his height to put further distance between him and the water dragon who's name apparently was Barwon. But he did have a point.

"I'm Vrans." he replayed "I can tell what you mean. One moment I fall asleep with my family the next morning I'm fully grown and every ones gone. Not only that but I seemed to have become a human trash thing. I woke up under it. Its disgusting to clean off my scales." he said flicking out his toung in the disgusted manner. "I'm glad thats done with." he said again "Though you mentioned mate before.... whats a mate? Never heard the term before." he said feeling a bit stupid for not knowing what that met. His mind had only spent a few days after hatchling then when he woke up he's a hatchling's mind in a full grown body

The oddly coloured sunrise dragon seemed a bit suspicious and frightened for Barwon's liking, but he remained calmly drifting in the blue water, his head tilted upward. The sunrise introduced himself as Vrans, if not a bit timidly, and told of how he had woken up with not one of his family around and how he had become a human dump site or whatever he meant by that.

Barwon nodded coyly, tail still lazily wading the water, causing ripple patterns in its wake. He knew how that felt. He, himself, had opened his eyes to a murky ocean. The waters he roamed around now were filled with much more junk than he had remembered back before he fell asleep. Garbage from plastic bags to a worn dress floated on the water surface and rubbish could be found buried in the sea floor. None of this had even existed before. Barwon had even found the rusting remains of a ship just a bit over his size with R.M.S. Titanic inscripted in decaying print on the side of the hull. He had just learned how to read English then.

"Yeeee, humans are disgustin'. I can't really blame how many humans there are though, they breed like rabbits... If only they didn't t'row their damn garbage all over the damn place, what used t'be our home would be cleaner." Barwon squinted his eyes to look at Vrans' scales. If the sun shone on the sunrise just right, scales that should be shining brightly were slightly dulled, as if there was a film of dirt across it. It was the same for some of Barwon's own belly sclaes; they'd been buried in a layer of human filth when he'd waken up.

The water dragon cocked his head in curiosity. Vrans didn't know what a mate was? Geez, the dragon was younger than he thought.

"You know, mate? Your mate? Your wife, husband, lover?" Barwon asked, yawning dryly. "How old are you, man?"

((tigerra - thanks (: Don't worry about it, this RP should remain open since there don't seem to be a lot of dragcave rpers interested in this roleplay :// so apply away! Please make sure you use proper conventions and things in your form, though.

Agent- alright (: where do you want Fawn to jump in? ))

Vrans looked a bit sheepish "From what I can recall.... only one month now...." he said. "Mainly after I woke up. I had spent a day days as a hatchling then the next thing I know I'm way bigger and got wings." he explained looking down a bit. The water now looked... both bored and almost a little annoyed.

"What happened? Like last I heard it takes up to a few years of something to grow up.... but I took a few days. I know I know nothing about a lot. I did not know what a humans weapon was till it was shot at me. I must be stupid or something." he concluded. "I mean how else would I wake up not knowing I'm in a trash thing till after a few layers where on it?" he said.

((I know you have dyslexia, LLD, but try reading over your posts before posting it; it'll definitely help for any future errors. I think you're a good RPer. There are a couple word repeats and stuff (: ))

Barwon's eyes widened slightly in interest. Vrans' explanation of what had happened from his side of the story was a bit different. It sounded like he had fallen asleep while he was still a hatchling and had matured body-wise through out the hundreds of thousands of years. Barwon had slipped into the arms of sleep while he was still an adult, so he didn't mature body-wise that much himself. He showed his sharp, white teeth in a toothy smirk, beginning to glide smoothly through the water in patterns like a snake.

"Vrans, you needa learn 'bout life. Did your mama ever teach'a nothin'? What fam and what a mate is? Not to go near da humans and stuff like dat? M'mama got it in ma head long time, man..." Barwon paused as he thought over what Vrans said again. "You ain't stupid. I n'er knew what a 'gun' was, bro, til I got shot too. Bounced off an' everythin', it was actually kinda funny. I learned English with them other experienced dragons. I should teach'a English but dunno how." He tilted his head again. Vrans was like a little brother, in a way. While Barwon had been the youngest, he had had a few other younger brothers and sisters from other clutches of eggs that his parents had laid.

"You said you ain't headin' 'nywhere, righ'? D'you know where you from? We could try lookin' for yo' parents or somethin', but they might be dead though, eh? I think mine are," Barwon added bluntly, slapping the water hard with his fin. There was a touch of sadness in his voice and vulnerability slipped in too as he continued on, "I can't find no one at all from m'past. Or present, even. Humans are huntin' down some of us now... they're learnin' how to kill us."

Vrans listened and shook his head at the question of if his mother taught him anything. "I was around for only a few days before this happened." he said and later tilted his head off to the side about English "I know a little bit of it. Hear is all the time when humans pass by. Most of it does not make sense to me though" he replied

But when he was asked if he was heading anywhere he shook his head and when he was offered help in looking for his parents he shook his head "There gone. I haven't seen them at all. They where with me when I went to sleep but when I woke they where gone and I was grown up like this." he said missing them.

((Ryujin13-- please read the roleplay and rules if you would like to join. (: ))

Hearing Vrans speak about his past made Barwon strongly miss his own. His parents or older family must've died of old age or something... Shifting uncomfortably even in the water, he started to make a miniature whirlpool with the very tip of his tail, as light as a feather. If Vrans had only been around for a few days, he probably had the mentality of a very young hatchling. Barwon looked at the sunrise with a bit of pity before lifting his tail out of the water, a couple scales shimmering in the sight of the translucent droplets.

"Do y'know which clutch o' eggs you were born in? If yo' parents were young they might'a be alive..." Barwon mused, and swum around for a few seconds before rising his upper body out of the lake, water raining off of him like he was a storm. Swaying unsteadily above the surface, he added, "...I'd'ave somethin' t'do if I could come alon', and I coul' teach'a 'bout the world, huh? You could go explore da land while I check out the waters, yeah? Whad'ya say?" He closed one of his intense, navy blue eyes in a wink above a toothy smirk.

Dipping back into the water, Barwon started trailing to the south without waiting for Vrans to respond, fins gliding through the water in a graceful yet somehow jerky manner, and called out in a sing-song, teasing voice, "Comin' or what? We could race each other, yeah? Haven't raced in a lon' time still, man... Can y'fly fast?"

Vrans blinked "I....I did not get to know my parents to well, like I said I was with them for only a short time till the.... what ever happened." he said then the water asked him if he could come along. He was about to answer when he got teased about being slow.... or that's how it came to him. He got a determined look on his face and shot off..... up into the air more. He redirected him self to go south... first lower while keeping speed.... to see the water coming at him to fast so he pulled up.

After this dance for a few seconds he got where he wanted to shot past the water. "Sure ya can come.... if ya keep up." he said in a young way.
