It's a hatching egg! The lights are the crack. I had fun. Never did see another tree like mine.

I'm actually proud of my tree, even if I did make one tiny eentsy mistake, I did "bauble, lights, bird, lights, bauble, lights, bird," etc. but on the bottom, I have the bird covering the lights and a blank spot where the lights should be.

I wasn't one of the winners, but it was a tree that appeared in the discussion forums on several occasions.

I did mine as a 'conjure tree', (since I can't decorate real trees well, either, lol) with the Gingerbread man in his protective circle sending out stars of Christmas magic forming into ornaments and dragons (dragons being still only partially manifested at the moment captured) to supervise the birds and raptor decorating the tree, (though many of the birds had paused to watch the process, despite those noticing this being unimpressed with the Cheshire Cat sneaking in there) while the spirit of Christmas magic animated the tree itself.

 

I don't expect anyone would have figured any of that that out from the result, but it certainly was fun doing it!

Here is my tree. Never could get a screen shot of it so I am glad the links work! I thought I was being very original and creative until I saw other people's trees and how really outside the box they are. Or in casprrr's case really outside the tree. That was truly original and creative. Beautiful! I love the egg trees and dragon trees too. I rated picture trees high because they require taking what you have available and making something completely new and beautiful with it.

The only part that I really like about mine anymore is the pine cone on the dragon's head. The rest is very unoriginal.

At the beginning I loved my tree but once I submitted it I looked at it and hated it. It looks too busy and traditional. That and there's 2 random ornaments floating off of it

@Snow Plow, you know, I love your tree. I don't think it's unoriginal. It's definetly a tree to remember. If I went through your tree when voting I would have rated it rather high. And your sister's tree is very creative! I think I saw ut when voting (hard to remember it after such a time, and I have gone through a lot of trees, but I doubt there were any similar designs, so it must have been her tree) and gave 7 or 8 to it.
