well I hope it turns out to be everything you want it to be. A lot of families get broken and fall apart. I'm glad yours is a good and loving one. It's a precious thing, a family . 😊

afternoon all.  i'm still stalking for Nebs and Antareans... i keep finding the Antareans, so there's only two more I'm looking for.  on the other hand, I'm still wanting Nebulas - there's still 8 I'm hoping to get! :o

and I'm seeing if i can't find a Stellarum egg on the AP to be the new lil' Index dragon for my Stargate group.  someone suggested it on one of the discords.  if i can't find a an AP Stellarum, i can always breed Jack and Sam (they're at the bottom of that group i linked. XD)

I think I'll be on the hunt for pink dragons next 💗

Dad wanted to go to the mall today, so that's what we did. It's nice and sunny, so I'm gonna take a bike ride soon :3

Haven't seen many pink eggs lately. Good luck!

Our day ended up bright and sunny. Lunch with Dad was good (but slow, and expensive...).

Glad your party went well, @purplehaze!

Hung around the house today with Bestie's dad, since I saw my dad yesterday. He received some root beer and a homemade coffee table from his son! It's so pretty! I called Dad and wished him Happy Father's Day, and he told me that he loved my water color thing that I gave him!

This is what I gave him. Forgive him for the blurry photo. He's just bad at taking pictures. lol. It quotes the bible verse Isaiah 40:31, which got him through some tough things a few years ago.  (I also gave him the bookmark with the verse name on it ...Name? Number? I dunno. lol)

@AsymDoll13 Your link here seems to be broken, but I saw your bookmark picture in the other thread and it looked nice!

@purplehaze Happy birthday to your daughter! My birthday was on Saturday, but it rained almost all day so we just ordered Thai food and stayed in. Yesterday was nicer so we went out to celebrate at a restaurant that's right on the beach.

My in-laws were in town all last week (left Saturday morning), it was nice to have them visit. They love antiquing so we went to a bunch of antique stores and I got to go to the Goodwill Bins for the first time, which was neat (and a little gross). But I found $3 in a book! I ended up spending about $4.50 on books (I had to buy the one I found the money in, naturally), so I really only spent about $1.50.

My brother is going to be staying with us this week (we'll pick him up from the train station later this afternoon), which I'm excited about, but I think I'm also going to need to spend two weeks not talking to anyone at all after hosting for almost two weeks straight. My house isn't really arranged well for guests (in-laws stayed in a hotel) so I'm a little nervous about how cramped things will be, but I haven't seen him in ages and it's going to be really nice getting to catch up.

Good morning! Nothing but coffee for me this morning Lagie, We're goyng to the cassino in MPLS to eat a couple two dollar "sloot dogs" and claim our free otrize. Tgis Monday i ==I think it;s a milkshake machine. We don't plan on gambling more than fourtt  dollars which is usuallly our limit. It's quite the place and it's so big one could get lost in there!

Her birthday isn't until next week, but she and her hubby will be on vacation then, so we celebrated early.

Enjoy! What are sloot dogs?

I have never been to either of the casinos near us. I did go to Atlantic City once years ago and only spent the roll of quarters that the bus company gave us. XD I have never cared about going again.

Thanks for offering! I may take you up on that!

Never been to a casino before but I have friends who love them.

Monday meetings are a bummer, I can't wait for work to be over so I can sit outside and read. Got my window open now and there's the perfect breeze 🌤️ we're also having Sanders bumpy cake for my dad's birthday, a Michigan delicacy lol

Thanks! I bought the paint ($113 for one gallon ), bought deadbolt lock and door handle handle lock for the back door, scoped out the door I think I want, and then ran into a friend as I left the lock/door store, and he's able to do all the labour for me! Next week, most likely.

Enjoy your casino day, @Chusi!

Hope the visit goes well, @GhostMouse!

wow! that's good news!

in other news, i realised that my 100D dragon will be grown up when I'm (hopefully) at work on friday.  maybe i'll actually take my 15-minute break .... for once! XD i say hopefully because they've taken people off the schedule, and don't tell them they've been taken off (rude!).  that happened to someone on Saturday! yeesh. this is why i screenshot my schedule, constantly check it, and then check it the night before, AND that morning.

That is lucky! But wow, I did not realize paint could be so expensive 😩

Aw man I'd be annoyed if I showed up to find out the schedule changed and nobody told me, lol

My last job involved weekly schedules and there were times when the coming week's schedule wouldn't be made until late Sunday. It was usually pretty consistent for the most part though. I miss that job, it was a little part time gig at my local park and everyone was so nice 🥹

Nor did I. I was expecting 60 - 70, not 113!

when the coming week's schedule wouldn't be made until late Sunday.

so when i first started at this job.... years ago, the schedule was published on a Wednesday about a week and a half before it went into effect.  time off? you had to put it into the computer system 15 days in advance.  close enough to two weeks.

now, for the past 2 or 3 years, the schedule is published three weeks in advance. also, time off? 24 days in advance.  mostly unheard of in retail.  so, i know my schedule up until July 8th.  at least, my schedule as of now, that meets the hours that have been budgeted for that week now. who's to say that when we get to July 2, I'm not going to pull up my schedule before i leave my UU church Sunday at noon and I'll still be on it?  if i actually go in to work on friday, I'm going to ask the manager (or if she's not in, the manager on duty) that it is all right to text me at any time if i've been taken off the schedule that I've been expecting to work.  I've been at the same company for almost 12 years now - 11 years at one store and 7 months at this current location.  and it's not really like the store has 50 employees, i don't think we do.

wow, sorry abut that rant :o

I'd definitely wanna be texted if I'd been taken off the schedule. 24 day advance notice of days off feels crazy! Do they let you switch with other coworkers if something comes up, at least?

i'm sure they do, i've just never needed to.  or i'd just call out. .... or call off.  which one do you do - call out of work, or call off work?

Call out of. Call off = cancel, like calling off the game due to rain.

since i've moved to a totally different country part of the state, they say so-and-so has "called off work" when they call out.  it's kinda interesting to get used to. and shopping carts are buggies. Buggies are what goes with horses. XD
