Book Title: All About Evie
Author: Cathy Lamb

Summary: Evie Lindsay has had premonitions since she was a young girl. She never knew when they would come on, sometimes having to react quickly to what she sees. She lives with her free-spirited and eccentric mother and aunts on San Orcanita Island. Evie has always felt an unexplained hole in her life, never knowing its source until a secret is revealed that turns her world upside down.

Review: I really enjoyed this book. Quirky characters, beautiful surroundings, books, animals, and lots of desserts -- what's not to like?

Book Title: Little Broken Things
Author: Nicole Baart

Summary: The story begins with a desperate and mysterious request from one estranged sister to another to keep a haunted little girl safe....and hidden....even from family. The suspense builds, with unexpected twists, before we finally learn the full story of who this child is and the danger she is in.

Review: This story pulled me in from page 1. Told from different characters' points of view it unfolds slowly, revealing long-hidden secrets, intriguing characters, and strained relationships. I couldn't put it down.

Book Title: Keep it in the Family

Author: John Marrs

Summary: Mia and her husband move into a new home, and there are things there that aren't as they seem after finding seven suitcases in a hidden room in the attic...

Book Title: The Perfect Child

Author: Lucinda Berry

Summary: Little girl Janie is found in the middle of the road, looking starved and abused. After a bit of time in the hospital, a childless woman and her husband take her in. It isn't as it seems however.

Rating: 3.5/5 There's a ton of twists in this novel (okay there are like... 2 main ones) and it just felt like too much? Pick one or the other, not both! However, an actual psychologist wrote this novel, and that was nice seeing that someone in that profession wrote it. ^^
