I managed a successful trade for a lovely gold, and I'm going to be able to breed her a mate come Christmas.

oh that's very cool, lagie! my purple, Trance, grew up, and i bred her to my gold Aurelius.  maybe one day i'll get a gold.  but yesterday they weren't interested.

 

meanwhile, my Rifts, Herbert George and Constance O'Day can breed again today, and hopefully the egg will be Colin - his brother is Quinn Mallory

I finally did some spreadsheet updating and dragon shifting.

my pair (Trance x Aurelius) is more of the names and characters for this pairing, really.  Trance Gemini was at first a little purple girl who we didn't know that much about.  but by s4, we learned she was actually the avatar of a sun, and she swaps places with her future self, who happens to be gold.  so now she's Gold Trance. and if Purple Trance and a gold CB give me the gold egg, that's Gold Trance.

oh yes,  I used fertility on Trance before I bred them.  will I have to do it next time I breed the same pair if they weren't interested the first time?

Fertility also increases the chance of an egg, so any time helps.

It's now windy and becoming chilly again. The door is open for the dogs to go in and out, and all the leaves are blowing in.

Taking the towels out of the dryer helped warm me up... and then it rained and got colder.
