"Eve, don't you have something better to do?" "But Suave, my mom's dead, and my father ran away, and I'm supposed to stay here with you." "Then go bug the pheasants." "You're coming with."

And that's how Suave was being dragged outside by Eve.

"Ow! Okay, let me up! Eve, letmeupletmeupletmeUP!" Eve 'hmphed' and let go of his arm. Suave stood up. "Now where are we...?" "The village. You act like a 5 year old." "So do you- Um, everyone's staring." "You are the prince. And I'm a princess from a different land." Suave paused to consider this. "...True."

Crescent watched the two royalties argue. And then fall silent. He sighed, shaking his head. Why was he here? Because someone told him that mercenaries needed. And now what was he doing? Living in a windmill, hiding from the royal family! He quickly turned and ran down the alley as quiet as possible, going back to his windmill. There was no use staying in that spot, watching the two.

"Get back here!" A million curses ran through Tirlia's mind as she ran on the rooftops, gracefully moving from one to another. She heard the shop owner struggle to get on the roof. 'Like they don't have enough food already,' Tirlia thought as she slid off a roof. She landed on a garbage bin and continued to run. It was hard, with her right arm clutching food, and a wallet in her mouth. It wasn't like this was all their money; They had plenty in their other wallets. She slipped into a small abandoned house and listened as they ran past. Then she set her stuff down, sitting down. 'That prince... If he hadn't spotted me back then, no one would know who I was!' she thought.

"Never heard of her." Arrastar frowned. They were asking her about Tirlia again. She had made a promise. And she had no intention of breaking it. "Are you su-" "Yes! Get out of my face!" She slammed the door. She might have to leave soon. But she hadn't seen Eve dressing up Suave yet... And sending him out into public, dressed as a princess! She could barely keep from laughing at the thought.

Sin was hungry. She had saved up her money, hoping to buy food today... but the thief ran off, and the shop keeper with her. So now not only was she dusty, grungy, and very skinny, but now she gad no food for the day. Her eyes watered up, but she refused to cry in public. Two members of the royal family where a bit ahead of her, but she slunk off into a ally, where she wouldn't bee seen.

"Why hello there, princess," Suave said, appearing behind Sin. He was smiling. "Do you need something? Food, shelter, water, clothing..." he offered. Yes. It was love at first sight. Or him being a complete idiot at first sight. Whatever worked.

Sin jumped and turned around. She turned red, he had called HER princess, he was the heir! She bowed, and stuttered "H-Hi my n-name is Sin" Surely he was not talking to her, with her dull fur and worn clothing. She was filthy from working hard labor.

He was talking to her! Maybe she could get a job, away from Lord Lucius. He was cruel, and she was beaten often. She tried to hide the bruises under her fine purple fur. "I-Do you have any job openings my Lord? I am a good cook, and can work long hours." She wouldn't look him in the eyes at all, she stared at his feet.

"...You don't have to call me 'lord' or whatever, Princess. Suave's fine. If you'd like," Suave said. He noticed one of the windows at the castle had a faint glow. Of course Dad's back now. Well, he shouldn't mind, he thought as the glow vanished. He knew something was worrying Sin. But he wouldn't make her tell him what. That would be rude.

He was so absorbed in his thoughts he didn't notice that they were there until a guard said something. He straightened. "Ah, Prince. And... Who is she...?" "Sin. She's the new cook." The guard seemed suspicious, but nodded to another and they moved back. The gate opened. Suave turned to Sin and smiled. The guards weren't listening, or watching. "After you, milady," he said.

Suave smiled at Sin's reaction. He moved to her side and turned to her. "Shall I show you around, Princess?" he asked, keeping his voice slightly quiet so no one would overhear. Well, it wouldn't be bad if they did... Minus the 'princess' part. Oh, well. It's not like it would do much. His marriage was arranged, and no one really cared as long as he went with it.
