Book Title: Gone Girl: A Novel

Author: Gillian Flynn

Summary: Book contains some mature language (cursing), as well as references to graphic sexual situations. Nick and Amy Dunne have been married for five years. Every year on their anniversary, Amy leaves notes as clues for her husband to eventually reach the spot where she has hidden his anniversary present. On the morning of their fifth anniversary, she disappears. There is evidence of blood and as struggle, and mounting background information shows the Dunnes' marriage wasn't as perfect as it looked on the outside. Alternating between Nick's point of view, and the diary entries Amy left behind, the prime suspect points to Nick over and over again. But did he do it?

Rating: (optional) 5/5 (I finished this book in 3 days)

Review: (optional) This book was not what I expected it to be! There is twist after twist; even after the reader thinks he/she has all the secrets figured out, the last bombshell doesn't come until the very last chapter of the book! This is a book about young love, marriage, and ultimately the psychological cores of each other's spouses. Just how well do Nick and Amy think they know each other?
