Vrans with held a hiss not wanting to reveal his place in the bushes. But he was ready to attack then back up Moku. He narrowed his eye's looking for spots to try and cripple the rogue should it attack.

Baine considered going outside to watch the sparring, but she decided against it. She didn't want to look like she was neglecting her duties. The dragoness removed a few seeds from the poppies and ground them in the martyr and pestle, scraping it the mush into a bowl. She added some of the marigold paste. The mixture would be good in case one of the dragons was hurt too badly. Poppy seeds put them to sleep and the marigold would heal wounds and prevent infection.

After Elferd left the clearing for a drink out of the stream he saw a fight near him.

 

he wondered what it was but was a little busy drinking out of the stream.

 

"Who are you" He called but no answer came.

 

Something that he noticed was that one dragon that one dragon that was in the fight was not in the clan.

 

He called again but no answer again so he decided to watch intently.

Moku saw in the corner of her eye Elferd, What is he doing here!? she said in her head, beyond mad at the young dragon for wandering off this far without his mentor. She wondered if Vrans saw the dragon as well.

"You know, little one, I am quite surpr-" She cut off, mid sentence. She smelled something else. She ignored it for now and went back to her sentence. "I'm quite surprised by you. Most young dragons would flee." She said, amused. But then she straightened her face, and looked into the dragon's eyes. "Or are you hiding fear?" She felt as though this wouldn't last much longer, for she was getting rather tired of the young one.

Vrans had also spotted the young dragon and had similar thoughts Last I checked your not allowed to leave camp with out your mentor till your done training. he thought. But went back to keeping an eye on teh rogue. Hoping the young dragon would get its brains back and leave before and if things got bad. He looked at Moku waiting for the signal as the rogue spoke to her again.

Elferd got closer but stayed silent. He knew that he was far to young to help in battle without a mentor but he was already out of apprentice hood. he still had no clue as of what was happening and what to do.

Moku went wide-eyed as the rogue saw through her facade. It was true, she really was scared but she wasn't willing to back down from the rogue and allow it to stay on her clan's territory. She stood up straight, spreading her wings, "I'm not the one who should be scared. I f you don't leave, I'll come back with more dragons. A whole clan to run you out."

Eleth smiled as she looked at the expression on the young one's face. She had a way of knowing certain things about others. Without a further warning, Eleth spread her wings. "Thanks for the warning, I'll keep that in mind," she replied. "And tell you're friend in the bushes I said 'Hello'." She finished, nodding towards the bush. She playfully bit the air in front of the dragon, and flew back towards her cave.

Moku growled and blew fire in disappointment. She then glared at the small dragon, "Elferd! Get over here." She said in a harsh tone, already angered by the lose of the rogue and Elferd was the only one worth taking her anger out on. Sparks flickered from Moku's body as she waiting for him.

Vrans hissed as she spoke about him. After she flew away he came out "She thinks this is a game." he said sounding very ticked. "This is no game, maybe next time we'll send her home with a more sever mark." he said glaring in the direction the rogue had flown off to. He looked down after wards. Then at the other one from his clan "What are you doing wondering out here alone?" he asked

Elferd stood back, afraid he was noticed by the enemy or anybody for that fact. but when he saw the direction and cave the rogue went to, it seemed to be the exact cave he went to to find a lucky charm he had lost. failing in the quest he was as wary as ever. the charm relaxed him especially since he had to kill the bandits that murdered his parents for it.

 

Than he noticed Vrans had asked him a question "I thought i would come for a drink so i came here. I did complete my training and I heard some yelling this way so i checked it out."

"Elferd!"Moku shouted again, even more ticked by the apprentice now, "get over here and maybe we won't tell your mentor about this little incident." She glanced at Vrans, "That rogue will be back, we'll warn everyone back at the camp once we return."

It felt good knowing someone else hated her guts. It amused Eleth in unexplainable ways. Eleth was definitely different than other dragons. Death didn't scare her, and she felt as though pain made her stronger. Fear was an illusion and so were tears. Those made her feel weak, and used up. She couldn't wait to see the young dragons again, and wished she had stayed longer. As she reached her cave, she bit into the fish once again, and watched the blood flow from her wound.

Elferd was scared but obeyed but Elferd couldn't hold it in

 

" first of all I don't have a mentor, second i'm not an apprentice anymore, I haven't been an apprentice for 2 years now."

 

Elferd also knew he was "under aged" to go out without a mentor but he had already achieved worrier so that rule didn't apply to him.

Moku glanced at Vrans, then to Elferd, "Still, it's not safe to be out and around by yourself. What would you do if that rogue saw you and attacked you!? You'd be good as gone! Our own leader wouldn't dare leave the camp alone. She knows how dangerous it is with the humans and the other clans prowling around!" She scolded.

Vrans nodded when Moku told him about the rogue returning. He also nodded with the being along part. He suppressed a growl. Now they either had to escort this hatchling back to camp or he joined there patrol as they finished it. He just nodded as Moku spoke.

Elferd argued back "that's the exact reason i came out here. I had a charm that i kept with me even in sleep. every time i brought it out here with me, i had never encountered a single thing that could kill me or severely hurt me." it kinda felt nice arguing with somebody older and stronger than himself but scared at the same time for it could result in possibly banishment from clan like the rogue the other clan member's saw.

Vrans hissed at this "Superstition!" he said "One rock will not protect you. If that where that case then I'd be untouchable." he growled swinging his tail around to show the gem like rock on his tail. "But that is not the case. One charm will not save you if that rogue attacks." he said. This one had not mentor yet still believed in that stuff? Unbelievable.

Moku slowly climbed out of the river, shaking herself off and sighed, "Look, Elferd, I'll let you off with a warning this time. But never come out alone until we're sure the rogue is gone. It's dangerous even for Vrans and I. I'm sure the rogue could overpower us easily." She glanced at Vrans, "We should get back to camp and report this."

Elferd still arguing said" its not just a rock it the only thing i have left of my parents."

 

Even if it was just they had to under stand that it was the only thing he had of the rest of his family. "one scale of each member of my family on each coming of age. it may not be of your concern but it is of mine."

Moku flicked her tail with annoyance, the sparks growing larger and more frequent, "We're not staying out here, Elferd. Me must go back for now. You can have some accompany you later, but not now." She continued walking towards the camp, "End of discussion."

Vrans just narrowed his eye's and went back to being silent. A rock from parents would not protect the hatchling either. When Moku said they needed to report the rogue he nodded. Today had a good start but then a rogue showed then a hatchling who seems to believe that a stone will protect him just did not making it int o his book of 'a good day'. Plus he was tired from lack of sleep and moon energy. He followed Moku as she went back to camp.

((Btw, I have a school Meet and Greet thing to go to in 3 hours, so I have to start getting read in one hour, and it lasts for 2 hours, so yeah just so you know))

 

Eleth opened her eyes, she couldn't nap right now. Everything was so quiet, and she didn't like it. She stretched her wings, and then rested them on the ground. She was thirsty again, but knew she couldn't return to the river.
