Posted February 4, 2021 (edited) Mark Lawrence's Prince of Fools seemed like it was complete fantasy in generic medieval setting with some Norse culture thrown in. Then the main character quotes an old saying about a bicycle and I'm like what? Then even later on in the book, the fearful cave of statues... is a railroad tunnel with mannequins.
