Posted November 10, 2011 Ghostwisp nodded and then said, "Okay here's how you do the crouch." She then got onto her haunches so that the front half of her body was close to the ground and so that her tail was up in the air. "You have to make sure that you're downwind of your prey before you pounce otherwise they'll be alerted to your presence and then they'll run off," she said as she got back up to her usual sitting position. "Now you try," she said as she looked at Breezepaw expectantly. As she waited for him to do the crouch, she started to think of what prey he should go for first and decided that he should go after the mouse since it would be the easiest to get. Posted January 15, 2012 (edited) Moonkit wandered about in the unknown territory, completely lost. Why had she been so stupid as to wander off like that? Posted January 15, 2012 Hawk stared at Shadow. "Are you insane?!" There was a moment's silence as he stared into his mate's calm, unblinking green eyes. Perhaps she had a point . . . and maybe it was time to stop spilling blood and form allies. Not that he already had allies, but with Pumpkin gone and all... "Well . . . maybe you're right." He looked at Mint, eyes still suspicious. "As long as we stay in separate groups while we sleep, hunt, and all that . . . " Mint glanced at Wolfkit. "I don't know . . . I just felt like our two groups . . . sooner or later, too much blood will be spilled, some cats will end up dead . . . I don't want it to reach that stage." His eyes were haunted, imagining what would happen if Wolfkit were killed. Then Hawk cleared his throat and spoke. To Mint's surprise, Hawk agreed with him to some extent, but it seemed like he had his boundaries. A lot of boundaries. Mint nodded, his tail twitching impatiently. "Yes, yes. I promise that we don't want to be hurt just as much as you do." "And any funny business . . . " Hawk continued in a threatening voice. He lifted his paw almost lazily, razor-sharp claws sliding out slowly, and glanced at Wolfkit. Now it was Mint's turn to stiffen, and Hawk smiled grimly. "It's a truce, then." "Truce," Mint agreed. "And from now on, our two groups will become one . . . or at least not enemies anymore," he corrected himself hastily as Hawk's piercing green eyes narrowed. Gosh, that tabby was touchy. [My RPing skills are rusty xP] Leafspots blinked as she heard a small whine to her right. Sigmapaw seemed to have opened her mouth to start off on another round of questions but Leafspots broke in quickly before her apprentice could say any more. "Wait here." Without waiting for an answer, the she-cat whipped around and quickly padded toward the sound. What if it was a dog, or invading WindClan patrol? Instead, it seemed to be . . . a kit? Leafspots blinked in surprise. "Moonkit?" she meowed, a hint of disapproval in her voice. "What in the name of StarClan are you doing out here, in the heart of ThunderClan territory? You know kits aren't allowed out until they're apprentices," the warrior added, her eyes stern. "What if I had been an invading WindClan patrol, come to finish you off?" she growled. Posted January 16, 2012 (edited) ((Spiritstar is still alive but if you read Holly's post in the ooc thread about her wanting them to be crossed out for now, she was trying to decide if Spiritstar was going to remain a leader or be something else and leave Duskpelt as leader or something along those lines)) Shadow continued to look into his pale green eyes, unblinking as she heard his surprised question before hearing his statement that was towards Mint and couldn't help smiling a bit more. She was glad that he agreed to some extent about the other rogue's proposal and she wasn't against getting to know the other cats a bit more. She was interested in knowing them a bit more but she would have to be careful. She moved a bit closer to Hawk and nuzzled him in the shoulder as she purred a bit, happy that they had made some allies for now. Posted January 16, 2012 ((Okay, Arctickit is back too)) The not-so-much-kit gagged in discust. She wanted to yell at Mint forever, what a stupid cat, she thought. Arctickit stood up and turned around and left. She was hungry, and the thought of being allies with Hawk made her need some fresh air. Posted January 16, 2012 Leafspots looked at Moonkit sharply. "'Exploring'?!" she quoted. "Kits don't 'explore'. Kits stay at the nursery, safe and protected, until they're apprentices." She blinked in surprise as Moonkit dragged out the dead vole. Leafspots was impressed but tried not to show it as she added dryly, "and neither do they catch prey. Come on, back to camp. Posted January 16, 2012 Mint blinked as Arctickit left. For the first time, he wondered if he had done the right thing. He knew Wolfkit would support him no matter what, but Arctickit . . . sighing, he turned to Hawk. "I think we should split up into two groups," the tom meowed. "One for hunting, the other for preparing the camp where we'll be sleeping tonight." He gazed at Hawk calmly, almost daring him to argue. Hawk nodded. "I'll hunt," he meowed evenly. Posted January 16, 2012 "I'll help with preparing the camp," Shadow spoke up after hearing where the other two. She wanted to hunt with Hawk but she thought that doing that would distract her mate from hunting and she didn't want to make him miss the prey he was going for because he was too busy watching her instead. She also knew that the both of them had become inseparable since they confessed how they felt and this would break that streak but it was a small price that she was willing to pay in order to get to know the other rogues a bit better and them her. Knowing that they wouldn't get along the first day that they were together didn't deter her from at least trying to be nicer to the others. She was very determined and the determination showed in her eyes as she looked into Hawk's and knew that he probably wouldn't know what she was so determined about but she could always tell him later. Posted January 17, 2012 (edited) Leafspots narrowed her eyes slightly, whiskers twitching in amusement. "The cute voice doesn't work on me, Moonkit," she purred. The warrior beckoned with her tail for Sigmapaw to follow her and escorted the kit back to camp. Leafspots wasn't sure if she was disappointed or relieved that her first trip out of camp as a mentor was over so soon.
