Posted January 7, 2015 (edited) 2G Valentine's Requesting & Gifting Thread This topic is for people who are missing CB or even second generation Valentine's Dragons of certain breed(s), and who would like to request a second-generation holiday offspring of that breed - with as specific or non-specific parentage as they desire. This thread is therefor, by extension, also for people who have CB Valentine's Dragons and wish to give away their offspring for nothing, especially if it helps another user to complete their scroll <3 WHY? Many feel that a 2G Valentine's Dragon is as close as one can get to a CB of that species after it's initial year of release. I think we all deserve that second chance to find our Valentine's, don't you? We have one month to go peeps, so if you want to share the love, read on! ♥ CONTENTS ♥ 1. HOW TO BECOME A GIFTER 2. REQUESTER RULES 3. FORMS 4. REQUESTER LISTS ♥ HOW TO BECOME A GIFTER ♥ When breeding season arrives, simply: 1. PM the user who's request you wish to fill with either a breeding offer or transfer link, 2. give them any terms you have for how they are to treat your gift (eg, do not freeze it, please name it, please use <this> prefix in naming, etc), 3. make sure that one of you reports the gift here on the thread after it is received, using the "Gift Received" form below, so that the giftee may be removed from the relevant list(s). Soon I will be making it easier for prospective gifters to keep track of this thread when breeding season arrives, in the form of an optional subscription to a private mailing list. Breeders will be reminded of their wish to gift, and whatever else information seems necessary. This service will be optional and easy to remove yourself from, but wont be set up for some time yet. If you're interested, watch this space and consider bookmarking this thread. ♥ REQUESTER RULES ♥ I know rules are boring, but every "relationship" needs boundaries, even here on the trading board! Knowing where you stand ensures nobody gets upset with anybody, and that gifting goes smoothly for all involved - especially you! Rules may change without warning, it is your responsibility to read them each time you post here or offer/receive a gift. Don't break my heart this Valentine's by breaking the rules! ♡ 1. No IOU's allowed. This is a gifting request thread, where you post what breeds you're missing CB/2G's of and where kind users may approach you with a gift when they have one, NOT where you may plan a trade or transfer in advance. What you do in PMs is up to you, but keep it off the forums. 2. We make no guarantee that your request will be filled by your posting here. You can't force ♡love, so why force a gift? 3. You may only request Valentine's Dragons here. 4. You may not request 2015 Valentine's Dragons. 5. You may only request Valentine's Dragons that you do not have a CB/2G of. 6. You may only request one dragon of each Valentine's breed, so think carefully about what non-Valentine's parent you would like before you post, as this ♡makes for less edits. 7. In order to make sure you really are missing CB/2G's of ♡everything you are requesting, you must make sure your scroll is made visible until after you are accepted to all list/s you requested. Once accepted, you may hide your scroll again if you wish. 8. To request an egg, fill out all compulsory fields in the below "Request Form", and then post it to the thread. 9. Please keep comments in posts to a minimum, and avoid bright or large text in comments, so forms are ♡easier to spot during updates. 10. When you do receive or give a 2G Valentine's through this thread, one of you must use the "Gift Received" form to report the gift, after it is safely on the giftee's scroll. 11. If you catch a 2G dragon of a breed who's request list you are currently on, and you choose to keep it, you must request to be removed from that list as soon as possible ♡even if the lineage is different to what you requested. 12. Do not accept a gift ♡if you are not eligible to be on that breed's list. 13. You must follow ANY and ALL restrictions and/or conditions placed on you by your gifter. 14. Do not give away, trade, bite, kill, or otherwise allow the death of your gift(s) without the express permission of the person from whom you received ♡it. Mere accusation of this violation ♡results ♡in immediate banning until your case is investigated. If a gifter ♡challenges your actions in this way, you may be asked for proof of permission in the form of a PM screenshot. 15. Say thanks to anybody who does fill your request, it's Valentine's, so spread that platonic love! ♥ ANY violation of the rules will result in being added to a Graylist, and each additional violation will add a strike next to your name. On three strikes, you're banned for good, no appeals. Severe violations will result in more immediate action at my discretion.
