Selenia smiled once her sister mentioned making some noise. no one outside of Apollo cabin really knew about the hypnotic powers her piccolo had, although they were weak in battle it could potentially cause her enemies to have difficulties moving where they wanted to. She put the arrow that she had ready away and slung her bow over her quiver. "How about we get a little hypnotic?" she said, placing her fingers on her piccolo, ready to put it to her lips and play at any second.

Steph grinned at her younger sibling, and pulled the small wads of beeswax from her pocket. Ancient Greeks used them to stay conscious while sailing past sirens, the Apollo cabin and partners used them to stay away. Kneading the warm wads into a suitable shape, she placed them in one ear at a time. "Get to playin', Sellie." Appointing nicknames was a common action of Stephanie. Although most people didn't like it, it was either a sign of affection or hatred. Most of the time the former.

we played this in band but we were faster at the beginning part, but we had a different arrangement. Just posting it so that you have an idea of what she s playing (even though she will just be playing melody even if the flute doesn't have it))

 

Selenia took in a deep breathe before beginning to play, she started off with a trill, getting louder as the trill went on. Stephanie did a good call with the buds of wax, she was beginning to learn to direct the hypnotism but she didn't know how good it would work in an actual situation like this. She walked forward at a faster pace more confident than before, as Stephanie was blocking her ears she did not have to focus on a target and could therefor focus all of her energy in making the hypnotic portion of the sound go as far as she could stretch it. as she got closer to the person the hypnotism would increase in strength but even then it would be like moving in molasses for the person rather than being controlled by her. The song would fit as it would go pretty fast with few breaks, with how much she practiced she should be able to hold it, especially if she brought the higher parts down an octave. She continued to march forward, moving in beat with the song.

Anna lashed her six foot long whip at the girl... she would have flicked it so it would scrach her arm or bruse it but she couldn't move her wrist ... no her arm.... dang it everything was slow! The langth of black leather fell on the playing apollo girl. She winced.. that would hert a bit

((That's beautiful! My band works on Parade stuf forst, the Chirstmas preformance music, an then marches. We did National Emblem this year, ad last year we did Stars and Stripes forever.))

 

As Selenia played, Steph loaded another arrow, and started frward. The flag had to be close, they'd gone pretty far into enemy lines. Only when she saw a figure sway, and then drop did she pick up her pace. The had reached enemies, which meant it was only a matter of time until the flag was in sight.

(We pretty much just play whatever the teachers give us, we typically play a march for each concert and the other stuff consists of pieces they think we'll like or that can challenge us. We also go on trips, last year we went to Cuba for a bit of a cultural exchange experience and this year we went to a music festival)

 

Selenia winced as she got caught by a whip, it caused a break in her playing where anyone would be able to move freely, she brought it back to her lips as fast as possible though, holding down the keys for a B flat, not even caring about playing an actual song anymore, that would require too much focus, she could already feel her energy draining from what she had played before. Once she moved farther away she played a single octave B flat major scale, she tried getting a signal to Steph to signal that she wouldn't be able to keep this up for too much longer, helping Steph search for the flag..

 

(Chic, I believe the flag is in between two trees in the forest somewhere, Theo put it there either on the previous page or the page before)

Anna used that small break quickly. Her movets where slow but the whip wasn't. She lashed at the second girl right when the first started playing agein. The whip did the same thin but the rip cought the second girls wrist and wound around it. She tryed to pull back as fased as ther straneing mussels would alow ageinst the spell. She gave no hints that the flag was ten feet up in the tree and really hard to get to. Steph stiffened as her left hand was yanked backwards. I doing this, she let go of the arrow she had notched and loaded, which flew and embedded itself into a nearby tree. Her head whipped around to glare at her opponent. "So you want to fight, huh? Maybe next time you'll choose not to upset an Apollo kid." Apollo was well-known for devastating cities when angry. His temper burned brighter than the sun he himself drove. Steph was no different. Dropping the bow for a moment, she unsheathed the small knife she kept on her belt, and used it to cut her wrist free from the whip. The knife was then thrown at Anna, which gave Stephanie time to pick up her bow, load an arrow and have it aimed right at the other demigod.

Jack narrowly avoided the skeleton's attack when it continued to move after he had removed its head. Okay, they didn't follow the same laws as zombies. Noticing the French girl running, he quickly sprinted after her, deciding to save his arrows for when they found something living and faster. "Do you see the flag yet?" He asked as he caught up to her and ran alongside the girl.

Anna watched as the girl failed to cut it and threw the now bent knife at her, it was leather... but natral leather would melt under the heat of the shadow fire she normaly., so... it was magic. Could be cut by s stygian iron blade. It hit her armour and bounced off. She laughed. "Dad gave this to me! Its why i use it the most! Greek times Death used a sword. Midevil times.. the whip.... now the scythe." Her dad had a heart of iron in the myths, he felt pity for some but that was it. No children in the greek or romen times. Now he has grown a fondness of man kind. Easy enough when all day and night he spends time with them. Maybe some gods can change.

Jack stopped short and suddenly pointed between the trees nearby. "Wait, over there!" He said, looking at his companion. "I can see it over there. Come on!" He motioned for her to follow as he started running towards the flag.

Jarvis dropped his bags on the beach and sighed as he sat down at the water's edge. We had arrived, met a strange girl and now couldn't find anyone. Maybe coming to the camp was a mistake after all. But he could go back to his mother and he had no idea where his dad was or if he would even accept him. Hell, his dad was supposed to be a god, it wasn't like he'd just take him up to Olympus to live. Ugh...this seriously sucked.

Selenia looked around as she backed away. She was on her last few seconds of hypnotizing, looking up into the tree to see that the flag was put there. She dropped her piccolo, it was enchanted, so it wouldn't break or even get a scratch just from a simple little drop. getting back up would probably benefit them more than her trying to do something, she only had her bow now and with the previous piccolo playing her hands would be very shaky and her aim wouldn't be nearly as good as usual. "THE FLAG IS IN THE TREE!" she yelled before releasing a burst of light as high as she could, hopefully Lucifer or Tali saw it. She dropped to her knees, panting heavily, still glowing bright enough that looking directly at her would hurt your eyes. Other than being a human flashlight for the rest of the day, or at least until she goes unconscious, she would not be of much use anymore. The piccolo took more out of her than she thought it would.

 

(so just to clarify the burst of light disappeared after it was sent up but she herself is still lit up since she doesn't know how to stop herself from being lit up. She is slowly starting to dim though, but she is still quite bright)

Prince lazily wandered back to Tali. "The Apollo kids are here. I thought I saw a flag in a tree... but that could have been the sky. It also looks like that piccolo that one girl has slows things down. Might not be wise to charge head and tackle this head on."

 

So she would have to teleport there. If she was aiming to grab the flag, then that was perfect. However, she was supposed to be a distraction. They would be so mad if she went off plan... then again... if she could end this they wouldn't be too mad. No, Theo liked his plans and she couldn't stray from it. She'd stay here and-

She still had that skeleton of Lucifer's. "Mister skeleton... could you help out Steph and the other Apollo kid? Please?" With a nod, it shuffled off and made a lot of noise.

Then a ball of light lit up the flag. She shouldn't disobey orders... but she could grab it from here... and Selenia -she remembered the other girl's name- was too tired... With a gulp, Tali was up in the tree, flag in hand.

Stark came out from his hidden position among the trees, startled by the burst of light. He cursed himself quietly, upset that he had allowed the other team to get so close. He walked on the balls of his feat to remain quiet, his broad sword in hand as he peered around the tree's base. There was a camper, shining bright like a miniature sun, and he squinted his eyes. Anna grind once she gained control again. She flicked her wrist and the whip came with it takeing steph too. Another flick and it unwound from her wrist, and she flinched at the sudden light, she almosed hissed. "Maldito!! Luz brillante!! OW!" She rapped blinked her eyes till the yellow flare was cleared from them. She saw the girl in the tree. She lashed her whip.. then thought twice and yanked it back making it fall short. Child of hades... they carry stygian iron blades.. thay could cut the whip. She didn't whant that. Insed she floced it around her and ran to the shadows comming out on the branch above the girl she hit the rod against the tree makeing it shake. Edited June 27, 2013 by AroaraAngelwolf

Tali wasn't prepared for the tree to shake. She tumbled out and through sheer luck alone, landed on her feet. She didn't waste time. Theo was going to be so mad if she disobeyed the plan and did nothing to actually propel the team to victory. She was actually crying as she ran, scared and terrified. She couldn't fail! Failure wasn't an option. Soon she neared the creek, spotting it as she came close.

Anna cursed in spanish and jumped in to the shadows again.. the travel was taxing but it didn't affect her as much as it did hade's kids.. her dad being the son of night and all... She poped out behind Tali and lashed her whip around the top of the flag yanking it out of her hands. "Not today!"

Macy perked up as she saw the weird girl who told her she wasn't going to die today running toward the creek, flag in hand. She signaled to the girl who was apparently her half sister and went to protect the girl. After all, that was her job, right? Before she got to the girl, though, a huge dog thing burst through the trees. It was foaming at the mouth and angrily barking at nothing in particular. Until it saw Macy, that is. She could almost feel its eyes locking on her. Suddenly, it seemed to get excited, like one of those big dogs when they saw a squirrel. Oh, no. She froze in place a moment, then began to run in terror. Hey, you would too if you were being chased by a dog the size of a grizzly bear.

Theo almost smiled when Macy came into view, but repressed it when he not only saw that she didn't have the flag but that a hellhound was chasing her. To this, he sighed. Poor girl. It was her first day and she was already getting the worst of luck...

Anna saw the hell hound she unwound her whip from the flag and ran fowers flicking two swithes on the stalf an out springs the scythe blades she lit the wip on fire, black-purple shadow flame rushed down the langth of it as she cracked it at the dogs tail. The tip wound aroud the tail just as the fire reached the end. "Is- is that a h-h-hellhound?!" Tali all but screamed when it came into view. The girl with the whip hit it, but Tali fell down and started to cry. She was too terrified to move. What if it leapt for her and... and... she ended up like Prince? How could she forget that image? Now it was panicked and running around and now she was crying. "GO AWAY!" She yelled, curled into the fetal position. If it was in camp then it could get her and kill her and she could nothing to stop them!

The Hellhound briefly looked at Anna and glanced at Tali, but ultimately went back to running after Macy. She was so much more interesting, what with her random running.

 

Eventually, Macy remembered that Theo had said her and other children of Poseidon were best by the water, and she began running back toward the creek. Maybe she could jump into the water or something, she didn't know. All she knew was that she needed to get back to the creek.

Lucifer stopped abruptly, seeing the light. Even though he couldn't communicate with his skeletons, he could still sense what was going on around them and where they were. Narrowing his eyes, he changed direction and began running in a different direction.

Aludra and Carlos froze when the skeletons suddenly started moving in a different direction. Then, they heard something... something big was moving through the trees. Deciding to follow the skeleton army, they ran, since the skeletons were suddenly fast and all.
