Posted November 5, 2013 Dragon's Crown This is Jaime, my knight. He is one of six classes available to play as in the game. The other classes are Amazon, Dwarf, Elf, Sorceress and Wizard. On screen you can see Rannie the thief and Tki the fairy. They follow you around all the time. Rannie opens locked doors and chests for you when you click on them and Tiki will point out hidden areas. You start off by yourself, but in the dungeons you can find piles of bones. If you pick them up then when you are back in the main town you can go to the temple and pay the priest revive them. These will become your NPC team mates if you chose to add them to your party. You can have up to three team mates at a time, have thirty people ready to recuit and carry thirty sets of bones. If you decide you do not want to revive the bones, you can opt to bury them. Sometimes you will get an item as a reward. NPC characters do not level up and their equipment breaks easily. You'll find you may need to keep replacing them with stronger characters as you go along. If you leave character slots open in your team then NPCs you have left behind may randomly join you . If you are playing online and have unlocked multiplayer, other players may join you as well. It is not all fighting monsters (which I totally failed to get a proper screen shot of, sorry T-T). Sometimes you need to navigate a flying carpet or row a boat past obstacles, or avoid something chasing you.... ...do well and you will get a rare treasure chest for Rannie to unlock. Treasure chests hold gold and temporary weapons, like crossbows and daggers. They can only be used for so many strikes before they run out though. Normal equippment, such as your main weapons and armor, can also break, but you can fix them in town For a price of course. If you die in battle you can be revived right away if you have some 'lives' left. You can earn lives through increasing your score (picking up gold, killing enemies), but the number is always reset back to two when you head back to town. If you die and you have no lives left, you will need to pay gold to revive. By opening chests and beating bosses you can earn equippment. When you get back to town you can chose to sell or appraise them. Items must be appraised before it can be used. You can earn extra gold and exp by taking quests from the Adventurers Guild... ...and you also unlock some art in your gallery for every quest you complete. Some while in the dungeons you will come across strange marks in the walls. These are called Runes. By matching them up with at least one runestones, you can activate one-shot spells and bonuses. You get one runestone for free. The other three must be bought. Picture of runes and runestones o3o Once you have unlocked being able to chain dungeons (go straight from one to the next without returning to town, you may sometimes come across the cooking mini-game. You can get various bonuses (HP increase, attack power increased, etc) depending on what foods you eat. What ingredients you get depends on what dungeons you have beaten in that run. Posted November 5, 2013 Yay Actually no All the NPCs come pre-named. You can also find the bones of other player characters. If you revive them they tend to be stronger that normal NPCs. I'll take a screenie tonight to show you. Share this post Link to post
Posted November 5, 2013 If you get the game and I find your bones, you can be o3o Then again, you might find Jaime's instead... Share this post Link to post
Posted November 7, 2013 A few more screenies for Spirit Okay here you can see which members of my party are NPCs and which one are player characters. By clicking on the names on the top you will reveal the PSN names of other players, but if they are a NPC who has randomly been brought in you will just see a row of '--------------'. If you are playing online, have a team full of NPCs but still have your party options set to 'on' (which can be toggled at the inn), player characters can jump in at any time and replace a NPC. P.S: The girls in white dresses are some game NPCs you have to escort to safety. They don't fight and they are not part of your team. Here you can see a list of the bones I have picked up. I am at the Temple tryign to see which ones I want to revive. The bottom one, Lifa, is a carbon copy of a another player's character, you can see their PSN name in the top right corner. Bart here is just a NPC, so he doesn't have a PSN name. Strictly speaking those with PSN names tend to be stronger, as they have better equipment. Here is a shot of my Vita homescreen with a piece of gallery art as wallpaper. They are just the right size and if you take a screenie you can use them as a backdrop. In other words, fifty free wallpapers are up for grabs o3o Share this post Link to post
