Posted June 28, 2012 The trees quivered as a somewhat short woman crashed through them. "Oh, gonna be late," she repeated, clawing at her face to remove the strands of carmel hair from blinding her. Leaves and twigs clung to her grey shirt and black sweatpants. Nearly spilling the thermos of french vanilla coffee onto herself, she stumbled into the clearing. "Hello students, I am Miss Wilder, your teacher," she said out of breath while opening the brown messenger bag. Her hand rooted around until it came up with a stack of papers. Then she pulled out a sleek black box about a foot long. "Please get together!" Wilder said while looking at those who had obvious gifts, like the ember girl. -"Good, good!" Wilder said while shuffling through the papers. "This class? Mainly controlling and focusing your powers, and some others things since some of the teachers never arrived," the teacher set the papers onto the ground and opened the box. A squirrel slid onto the ground, clinging onto the piece of wood it was mounted on. Glass eyes stared blankly at the students as it laid on its side in the grass. Wilder smiled at the students as she snapped her fingers and the squirrel hopped to life. "My gift is controlling taxidermy," she said while handing a pencil and paper to each of the gifteds. "From full mounts to head mounts to skeletons. Anyway, one that paper is only three questions. Your name, your powers, how you found out about your powers, and a 'another' section."- Share this post Link to post
