Posted August 25, 2010 (edited) I have read a lot of books, and I'd have to say that my favorite is Watership Down by Richard Adams. I love this book, and everything about it. (: I really liked a number of of the Redwall books by Brian Jacques. Lord Brocktree was a very good one. Taggerung, The Long Patrol, Loamhedge, and High Rhulain where others that I remember really liking. I've also been reading the Warriors series for a while now, though I'm starting to get bored with it. In the beginning it was more realistic, and in the more recent books, it's losing the sense of reality that it had in the beginning. =/ I've decided to compile a huge list of books/series' I like here in this first post. I shall call this list Books Tyto Highly Recommends. The more books I read, the more books I'll add to the list. Posted August 26, 2010 @Darkangel: You like Eragon more than Skulduggery Pleasant? But Skulduggery Pleasant is made out of so much win! @Tyto_alba: Larklight is a children's book by Philip Reeve. It's about Arthur and Myrtle Mumby, two children living with their father in the spaceship house Larklight. However, on day they get attacked by giant spiders and Art and Myrtle get away in an escape pod and crash land on the moon. The plot is really cool, but what JUST manages to overshine it is the world. See, Larklight is set in a world that's basically what would happen if space travel was invented in the mid seventeen hundreds, and space worked how people believed it to then. For instance, just about every planet is inhabited with all kinds of alien creatures, and space-or Aether, as it's called, is just cool, and contains enough air to survive for a few hours.
