Posted July 18, 2010 (edited) So I was thinking...a lot of people are looking for books to read...and they need new series! So maybe, if lots of people helped...we could create a booklist. A really, really, really long booklist for people to read. I'm making this booklist for Young Adult Fantasy. I'll start out with some contributions of my own, but they are basic and the more contributors the better. I'll edit this page for each contribution made! When Submitting, Please include either the title of the single book, or the entire series (doesn't matter) but please include the Author as well! CO-MODS: SOUPNAZI, STUNNINGFIRE. ANY QUESTIONS, PM STUN, SOUP, OR ME. THANK YOU. Submit a story: Title (of book or series): Author: Genre: Rating (like, PG 13? R? G? PG?): ~The Book List~ antasy 1. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling 2. Posted July 19, 2010 (edited) If someone wants a good dragon book that doesn't have a million and one plot holes, I suggest anything by Jessica Day George. Dragon Slippers, Dragon Flight, and Dragon Spear- fantastic little trilogy. Great characters, the dragons are actually treated as an intelligent species (something many other dragon books fail at), just an all around good read. I also suggest her book Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow, for anyone who enjoys retellings of fairy tales. Oh. Forgot. The Guardians of Ga'Hoole series by Kathryn Laskey, a total of fifteen books. Fifteen fantastic books, and the ones from twelve on are amazing. You'd never think a book about owls could pull off a good Fahrenheit 451 homage, but... it really did. Silverwing, Sunwing, Firewing, and most of all- DARKWING. All four by Kenneth Oppel. This one's about bats- well, the first three. Darkwing is about bats/dinosaurs/proto-bats. Darkwing is also a massive book, about as long as some of the later HP books, but very engaging. Gives a very good look into one's nature and how you have to work with it.
