Submit a story:

Title: Dune

Author: Frank Herbert

Genre: Sci-fi/fantasy (it gets a little magicky.)

Rating: PG13

Submit a story:

Title: Legend of Drizzt

Author: RA Salvatore

Genre: Fantasy

Rating: PG13. It's mostly PG, but there's a few rare bits where he describes... more than he needs to.

I see both of these were suggested on the first page, but they're not on the list, so... -shrug-

Hmm, what have I read recently that's not on the list... That I really liked... And that I can remember the name of...

AHA.

Submit a story:

Title: Riddlemaster of Hed

Author: Patricia McKillip

Genre: Fantasy in the style of Tolkien

Rating: PG-PG13. Mostly PG. Expect references to love that do not mean physical love.

thx guys. i'll add them.

EDIT: Dune was already tehre. As a reminder, please use the find option on the first page of this where the lists are to search for the title of the book before you submit it. (Like, on a mac: Apple/Command F then type in what you want to look for, then press enter. Ithighlights the word if it's already there. On PCs: Ctrl-F, the same thing happens.)

I want to thank all of the contributors so far. The list has grown long and lengthy biggrin.gif thanks!

I love reading YA books, more so now than I even did when I was actually part of the intended age group. XD

Recent excellent read:

Title (of book or series): "Faery Rebels: Spell Hunter" and the sequel "Wayfarer" (They are published under the titles "Knife" and "Rebel" in the UK.)

Author: R.J. Anderson

Genre: Fantasy, as is probably obvious by the first title.

Rating (like, PG 13? R? G? PG?): Mmm... probably PG?

Very enjoyable books, the sequel even better than the first. And there's another one on the way soon!

I forgot to come here earlier, I've been reading this series for my English class, it's pretty great even though the books are long and I always start reading them at the last minute xd.png

Title (of book or series): Sword of Truth (Series), first book is Wizard's First Rule

Author:Terry Goodkind

Genre:Fantasy

Rating (like, PG 13? R? G? PG?): Probably PG 13

If anyone's watched the Legend of the Seeker show on T.V., this is the series it's based on. I'm on the second book, and so far they're great. My teacher said that the fourth book is lousy, though.

Genre: Fantasy

Rating (like, PG 13? R? G? PG?): PG

Title (of book or series): The Oracles of Fire Series

Other info: Read Dragons in our Midst first. This series takes place after Dragons in our Midst, except book 1. Book one takes place before, during, and after (At different parts) and if you read this before DioM it'll ruin the DioM story.

Title (of book or series): The Echoes from the Edge Series

Genre: Science Fiction

Rating (like, PG 13? R? G? PG?): PG (Possibly PG-13)

Guys, Darkangel appears to be inactive right now, so I don't think this thread will be able to continue in its current form for the time being. Just thought I'd say that.

I wanted to add some of my favorites . I apologize if they are already listed which is possible with 11 pages of posts.

Diane Duane's Young Wizard series (fantasy)

Jack Higgins Chance Twins series (?reality adventure)

Star Trek and Star Wars novels on various levels by a variety of authors Scholastic has several series out. Young Jedi Knights is good.

Ally Carter's Gallagher Girls series

Robert Heinlein and Isaac Asimov have both written books for both young and old readers. Depending on your maturity level would depend on what is right for you as a teen or preteen.

Anne McCaffrey's fantasy novels, especially Dragons of Pern, Harper Hall Trilogy, and the Rowan, Damia, Lyon's Pryde books. Also the Acorna series.

Tom Clancy's Net Force Explorers series.

There are many others and as I unpack my books and shelve them, I may come back and add more. I still read YA books. They are fun and imaginative.
