Dain heard Soria's remark, and smiled. Dain turned to the witch in fake horror. "What you mean you don't care about me, but only my skin? Well then I will tell you my secret, it is because I drink the blood of humans and eat the meat of anything. You do that and you too can have the skin and hair like me." Dain didn't have much to say to Soria, mainly focusing on the teacher. Sadly enough the teacher was able to out smart him this time and was able to keep her calm demeanor. This being said the vampire did in fact catch the last statement and the fact that it could very well be taken as innocent or naughty. Dain, taking advantage of this, decided to act like it was a naughty based statement. He turned and walked to his chair, leaning against the desk casually. "Well Beriiel, there is only five more minutes of class. This will probably be decreased to about 2 or so by the time I am done talking. It is obvious that you are avoiding the question that I was asking. For now I believe I will just go ahead and leave it alone for the rest of the class period. This said, there is no guarantee that I will not try again on a different day. Remember though, this time I will not beat around the bush, and instead be very direct." Dain could tell from this class period that Beriiel was not like a standard teacher.

Dain began to sit before jumping up quickly. "Oh! I almost forgot since it is hard for me to remember pesky details like a classmates comments." He turned to James with a smile. "Seduction depends on the social class the creature is on. In example it would be hard to seduce an elf, but though I have never heard of your race, easy to seduce yours. That is odd though, for a vampire to be able to seduce any male and female of your race, you must be really low on the totem pole. Also, no we don't burn up in the sun. You see that is simply a common misconception and it is my puppets that I create by sucking their blood, who burn in the sun." Dain began to stand and turn before throwing one more comment in, "oh, and I actually enjoy garlic bread."

With her bag slung over her shoulder Isolde cradled the egg in her arms, smiling as the electricity rippling across its surface shocked her hand. Looking up at the sun she calculated that first period was almost over and began slowly walking to the language classroom. As soon as she found out some classes were optional Isolde decided she was taking all of them, she never missed out on a chance to learn something new. As she wandered down the hall her thoughts drifted back to her arrival and soon she was standing stock still in the middle of the hall, completely zoned out, reviewing and storing all the information that had been thrown at her that morning. Isolde shifted through her memories and picked out the important facts. Your room is 67. Your bags are already in your room. Your key is in your bag along with some paper and a few books. Second period starts at 10:05. As she sank deeper into her mind Isolde's right eye got progressively brighter until it was a shimmering gold that reflected light like a nocturnal animal's eyes.

Booring... Mizuki says as she begins to doodle on a piece of parchment while Miss Beriiel was discussing about atoms. The information she gave was so basic, that half the class was already sleeping or just doing what they want.

Is it science, or is it just an exaggerated topic on how stuff in the world works?, she thought, as she gets drowsy and eventually sleeps, along with some others. The bell would be enough to wake her up, anyway.

The bell didn't care about the drama going on inside the classroom. The first crash of the ball against the bronze bell sounded across the land far beyond the Academy, surely awakening some poor villager who was surely trying to get a little bit of late-morning shut eye. Surely the bell must hate the idea of lazy people to have consistently been so loud.

BONG! BONG! BONG!

Tatsuke didn't want to look like he was eager to get out of the classroom, but he was one of the first students to rise from his seat. Even just watching the scenario had embarrassed him, and a light blush was dusted over his pale features. It's not like this was something he could have never expected, he knew Dain well enough at this point to know it was commonplace and his friend back home never once spared Tatsuke a detail about how he felt towards every woman in early high school; but just because you could imagine it happening didn't mean that Tatsuke would become accustomed to the idea.

But never mind that now. He could go off in his mind to justify how he felt about the scenario to no one in particular until his head popped. Language was next, and language was a class Tatsuke loved very much. He wasn't the best at language as of now but he really did like to learn, and last year the teacher understood that. He had improved from last year, too, and he couldn't wait to learn more about the strange rules of the common language.

Uuuuugh... Just a few more minutes... Mizuki mumbles as she hears the first ring of the bronze bell. Bong! Bong! Bong! It continues as she tries to rise from the chair she slept on. She looks for James to ask him for another race. I thought he was here a while ago... Where is he now? she thinks, while she tries to remember the schedule for today. English class was next. Mizuki had been a proficient speaker in the language, but she was too shy to try and present to the class during her previous years.

After a few minutes of searching, she gives up and walks to the next class. I hope our instructor isn't much of a person who loves to correct mistakes, unlike the one I beat up back in eighth grade. she mumbles! when she was about to enter the room. After she entered, she took a seat and tried to have a nap while waiting for their unknown instructor.

As the bell tolled, a 'young' blonde male all out ran across the courtyard, He had only just arrived at the facility, and he didn't want to be late. Or in trouble. Colress slowed only at the doors, tugging one open and entering with a puff. He pushed his braided hair from his face, tucking it behind his ear and scurrying along, staying close to the lockers and away from people. He always hated the 'first day of school', and being late for the first few classes wouldn't end up well enough as it was. He skirted past a male exiting a classroom, apologizing similarly to a female who also was exiting. Colress continued on his way, jogging over to the nearest set of stairs, disappearing briefly upstairs so he could retrieve the bag that contained his work. It would be near his 'dorm', was all he knew.

Colress sprinted through the hall to where his back-pack was left. He scooped it up, going downstairs and going downstairs, hunting down his locker and stuffing anything he didn't need in there. Finally done, he began towards the next class at a brisk pace. He let out a quiet huff, whacking his chest. A cog must've been knocked out of place. It was easier to breath when he whacked it back into place. Probably all his running, as his visit with the nurse has been brief. Everything had been fine, last time he had checked, although he was certain he could survive through the class. He stood off to the side, outside the language classroom. He had studied up, and found he was thankfully decent at speaking it. He could learn further with time. Then he chuckled quietly. He was a clock. He had all the Time in the world. He was making jokes on his own behalf already.

Lorf

Science room

His room (room 27)

Lorf was surprised by the vampire's outburst. He didn't necessarily find it strange that student would hit on a teacher, because he hadn't gone to school before, he did think that doing so during class was uncalled for. During the whole exchange he silently laughed to himself. This is funnier than any travelers joke i'v heard he thought. Then the obnoxiously loud bell rang signaling the end of class. What was the next period? Lorf thought It's language, which was optional. He decided to skip this class. He got out of his seat. He was going to walk to the door when he remembered he still didn't know that griffons name. Lorf walked over to him, slightly surprised that he had remained silent through the whole commotion with the vampire. "Are you going to the next class?" He asked the griffon. He wouldn't learn much by being too direct.

Camicar

The entrance

Outside the language class room

Camicar held his new dragon egg. He thought he recognized the pattern of dawn and dusk, but he wasn't sure. He was still amazed he had made such great time here. He was only a day late. Only being able to travel at night sure took a long time. He looked at the papers he was holding in his other hand. "Let's see, right now should be 3rd period, so right now is language" he said to himself, "thats an optional class, but i should go anyway." He shuffled through the papers he was holding to a map of the academy. He walked through the hallways. He eventually ended up near a cafeteria. "Thats not right" he said to himself. Well, he must have taken a wrong turn. He was good at reading books, but not so good at reading maps, or so it seemed. Eventually he found his was outside the classroom, or so he hoped, and found another student there. He decided to introduce himself. "Hello, I'm Camicar. I was wondering, what race are you?" he said. Well, maybe he didn't need to directly ask the race, that might seem a bit... but it was already too late.

Colress watched the girl enter, somewhat bewildered at the fact that she just strolled in.... and then passed out on the desk. He just couldn't bring himself to enter. A different male than the one he passed came over and introduced himself, before demanding about Colress' race. Well, not quite demanded. He blinked, eyes going a bit wide in the shock of being pointed out. After a moment of silence, Colress' cheeks heated up, feeling awkward and embarrassed. "I-I-I erm-" he paused to clear his throat, then offered a gloved hand. "I am Colress. Colress Schmidt. I'm..." he looked down at his feet. "...It's kind of hard to explain, but I'm an 'Automaton' Meaning, roughly, zhat I'm an animate object. As I said, roughly. I vas made of clockvork." he explained as best he could, shrugging lightly.

He inched a bit closer towards the door. "Nice to meet you anyvays, Camicar," he added, accent not quite having dug it's way into his words yet. Not enough 'w's or 'th's or any German-like words. "If I may be so bold, vhat is your species?" he inquired, tilting his head once again, glasses catching a bit of light and reflecting it, so his eyes were hidden until he straighted, brushing hair back with his fingertips, pushing it back into place. "I-I mean, it's only fair." he offered meekly, glad he had regained most of his composure. It wasn't that he was back to his usual self quite yet. He was certain a cog was misplaced. But, he was much more stable, emotionally. His blush was long gone, and his stutter would disappear in a minute or two. "And, might I also follow up with a second question of... Are you also new here?" Colress asked the other.

Camicar-Student

Outside the language classroom

Oops Camicar thought. He hadn't ment to make the person feel embarrassed. Camicar folded the papers in his hand with his one hand that wasn't holding his egg, and put the papers in his pocket. He then shook hands with Colress. "Yea, i only got here this mourning, but, its only the second day of school, so im not too late" he said, "oh, and i'm a Tsarico. We are creatures of darkness. We feed on the energy contained in darkness. Kinda like dark energy." What he described himself as gave him the creeps. Maybe he read too much creepypasta. "But, we aren't ghosts or monsters. We just live off darkness" he said. That didn't make it sound any better. "So you don't need food or water or anything?" Camicar said. This seemed like something from fiction. Like an awesome robot or mech. He didn't even know this race existed. Maybe he just missed the books that talked about them. He thought that Colress was some forum of human, but this was much cooler than he expected.

---- Jolinar/Agatha ---

Slipping her somewhat sparse notes into her bag, the Sesslejae tried to get back focussed on the next class and its location. Language, if she recalled correctly, and that was a few doors down again if her memory was functioning as it should.

Then again, if she hurried, she could follow some of the other students to class.

--- Beriiel ---

As the end of class bell sounded and the students left, Myst flexed her wings and climbed down into the room. As Myst's tail 'readjusted' some chairs, Beriiel observed,

I don't think we had a full class.... there was at least one missing student.

Want me to find out which was missing from the Master Register? Myst asked, while glaring at the offending furniture.

Please do, I'd like to plan my next lessons and finding out who missed the first lesson - such as it was - would help.

Myst nodded, and turned back to the window - at least that way meant less cramped quarters.

Beriiel sank into her seat, and started to work on lesson plans.

[There that'll keep her occupied. And Isolde had better have a good reason for goofing off.... from her post she's in the main hall @ 10:05 the start of second period waiting for language class - which is third period. Since gym was first.]

Shaking the hand loosely, he bowed his head in acknowledgement. "I'm rather new here as well. I arrived a bit back, but I was held back. Being made of cogs means things get messed up quite easily. Maintenance needs to be consistent." he sighed, then looked back up, blinking, faintly grinning. "Ohh, the Tsarico. I've heard of your kind. I read up on them. Well, as far as I know, dark energy is just as powerful as normal energy. Besides, living off of shadows must be much, much nicer. Well, maybe not nicer, but easier. They are almost everywhere. Darkness is consistent. At least a balance of it is always found." he cleared his throat. "I appear to be ranting, now." he chuckled faintly. Colress tilted his head, then shook it. "I don't require food, or water. The only thing I actually need is maintenance and blood to run me. So, otherwise, I function like any other human. ...Just few differences. Major ones..." he shrugged. "Well, we're rather a big race, however we're created, so it's not like we have kids. We're made at certain ages, and only our outward appearance changes. Which, I will add, we don't really need. It's just preferred." he finally looked around, seeing if he could spot anyone else.

Snapping out of it as the bell rang, Isolde groaned, she had completely missed second period! Quickly walking to the language classroom she stopped just outside where two other students were having a conversation. "Hello," she said quietly, normally she wouldn't have said anything but this was her first chance to interact with other species, she wasn't going to pass it up out of shyness, "My name's Isolde, whats yours?" As she spoke Isolde adverted her eyes and the hand that wasn't holding her egg fiddled with her hair than she had left down today.

As the bell rang Deja's head shot up, he had fallen asleep, great. Running a hand through his hair he grabbed his bag and shifted through it until he found the schedule. Language, what did that mean, just english? Seemed kinda boring, but if they learned about all the languages... Deciding that he was going, just to see what the main principle of the class was, Deja set off towards the language classroom, unknowingly leaving a trail of sparks as he walked.

[sorry, that was me getting the schedule confused, I completely forgot about gym, I'll just edit in that she lost track of time.]

Camicar

outside the room of (unknown) language

"So you guys are all around the same age? I wish that was the same with my race. I haven't met many people my age before" Camicar said. Camicar had grown up as the only child even close to his age. He had spoken with kids from other races at night, but most of them were ether lost and scared, or ran a way from home, and scared. Then a girl walked up to the language class room and joined in the conversation. She looked human at first, like Colress, but when she spoke, he saw she had rather sharp teeth. "Hey, I'm Camicar" he said to the girl, "are you taking language class too?" Only four people were here yet, including the one who was now probably sleeping on a desk. "I wonder what language they'll be teaching. I wouldn't mind learning a few new ones" he said. Learning more languages would expand the range of books he could read.

Colress lightly shook his head. "No. Ve're all made at different times. All of us have different age appearances... I appear 16 to 17, and unless I take anozher potion at sometime in my life, I vill eventually grow older. But ve have elders, Seventy and up in years in physical appearance. Created during zhe var. However, zhe appearance can fool you. I met vizh an elder for training practice. A human joined us zhat day. He took her appearance too lightly... He's only now recovering from a fairly decent beating." he chuckled weakly, waving politely to the approaching girl. He fell mostly silent, only offering a quiet "Hallo zhere. I'm Colress Schmidt." and with that bit of information done, he looked over at the other student making his way over, slowly but surely.

"I'm not sure, but I'm fairly certain on many days, zhere are next to no changes in our routine, and ve mostly end up around eachozher." he murmured, lightly waving, then blinking with wide eyes at the trail of sparks. Awkwardly, he shuffled closer to Camicar. He seemed like someone he could almost hide behind, even if only as a last resort. He noticed that she too had a dragon egg. He faintly wondered where his was, before deciding he would find it at lunch, before he visited the nurse for his second check-up. It made his load significantly lighter anyways. He then went back to silence, feeling shy with the sudden mass of people. He had half a mind to just stroll right in and take the seat in the corner to hide away. However, he knew that he couldn't until a teacher came, and he would be called upon anyways... Maybe? To introduce himself. At least if he was a bit more familiarized with the students ahead of time, it wouldn't be as awkward.

Bowing her head slightly Isolde smiled, "Nice to meet you both." As Camicar mentioned multiple languages and reading, "I think it would be interesting if we learned the first languages of other students at the school." Isolde commented, "Do either of you read much?" she asked, blushing a bit. Not many of her kind did read because, for a race than can instantly share information, it seemed quite pointless to write everything down and then have others read it. She had never met anyone else who just read to read, not for any vital reason.

Spotting a few other students outside the classroom, Deja skipped over and stuck his hand out to one who seemed to be trying to hide, "Hello, my name's Deja, I'm a phoenix I'm new here and this is my dragon." as he said this the hatchling yawned and blinked at the others, "I haven't named him yet but he hatched this morning, it was really cool. And then when he was hungry I was hungry that was kinda weird but it's a neat way to communicate, just think things in someone elses direction. I bet there wold be less hate in general if everyone could communicate like that, everyone would see both sides of an argument or a war. And I;m just blabbering at this point, nice to meet you." saying all this very fast Deja reached up to scratch the top of the hatchling head as he finished his train of though before turning his attention back to the others.

Al'nivte

Science -> Hallway

Well, the hour was short lived, the entertainment holding out even shorter. Al'nivte stretched his arms, two of his four eyes sliding shut briefly. When Lorf approached him, asking if he'd be attending the next class, the Uccello shrugged and started getting out of his seat. To be fair, he didn't even know what the next class was but, by the sounds of it, he guessed it was optional anyways. "No... I don't think I'd do to well in it," the tall male responded. If he knew the class was Language, he'd realize how correct he might be. His speech wasn't poor but it certainly was far from perfect; a beak wasn't friends with a number of sounds that needed to be pronounced.

Then again, he could also be wrong. Surely, the teacher wouldn't mark down points simply because he didn't have any lips?

At any rate, he was leaving the classroom, an entertaining thought crossing his mind; would Lorf follow? It mostly depended on if the lizard-boy was intending to take Language or not. Perhaps it was a rude thing to keep the other student in the dark about his name, but it did prove to be an interesting "experiment" to see how Lorf's reactions progressed due to such ignorance. Well, regardless of what Lorf decided to do, Al'nivte had his own agenda he wanted to keep.

Felic

Science -> Hallway

Dain certainly was something, wasn't he? Felic watched the "flirting" exchange with mild disapproval. While he was sore about not getting to learn much this class period, he was relieved when the giant bell rang out its favorite toll. Once in awhile, he wondered if the bell was magicked or if there was a physical bell-ringer man, misshapen and hidden away from the population for his supposed protection. Storing his notebook away in his bag, he watched Al'nivte leave; the Uccello glanced at him with presumably a smirk on his face. "I don't suppose you'll be attending Language? I'm still hungry from this morning; didn't know if you wanted to come with to the cafeteria. Mitch and Sorge have probably met up with Iris and Rory by now. Also, bit of warning..." He lowered his voice so his words were exclusively for Sin. "I think Sya is plotting something; he's overly excited for being in class...." Getting up and shouldering his bag, he started for the hallway.

Soria

Science Classroom

Aw, playtime was over. Oh well! Soria stuffed her papers and pen back into her bag and slung it across one shoulder instead of both. Let's see... Language was coming up next, right? The young witch enjoyed the idea of speaking different languages but, most of last years class hadn't been focused on that; it was more on simply learning which languages were spoken where and all that cultural stuff about language. Hopefully this year would be more interactive.

"Hey, Sya? Do you plan to attend Language this year?" she asked, intending to walk out with the male fairy and so waiting for him to remove himself from the desk he occupied presently.

Seamus exited the classroom silently, gathering up his things without a word. He was in his own blank mind right now, not really thinking of anything but at the same time absorbed by his own blank thoughts. He wasn't really thinking anything about anything. Truly Seamus was the most interesting man in the world.

Though he had decided he wasn't going to go to Language. Not today, at least. Being in the room with Kaius for an extended period of time had made him hungry, and while the distraction from Dain helped a little once class ended it all came crashing back down on him. Hopefully there were some rats left in that little cage, or maybe even some raw fish laying out on a plate. Anything now would be nice but he wasn't feeling picky.

Maybe while he was there he'd find someone to mess with. He didn't know, he wasn't thinking very hard at the moment...

~~

There were a few classes Sin would attend even if they were optional, but language was not one of them. She had no propensity for other languages, and she didn't speak this one all too well either. When she attended last year, she got into an argument with the teacher over whether or not 'gonna' and 'ain't' were proper words. "I ain't gonna go to no language class, nuh-uh," She was forcing her coarse way of speaking for emphasis, and her voice returned to normal for the rest of her reply. "As for Sya planning something, I wouldn't be surprised. In fact I'd be more surprised if he wasn't planning anything. I'll join you a bit later. Since it's the second day of school, Kaio told me to check for new students to make sure they get introduced in between periods. I'll make a round and I'll meet you back at the cafeteria. Sound good?"

As soon as they exited the room, Mitch was on the red-haired Azazel immediately. For a big, scary wyvern big enough to ride he was quite the clingy reptile. So much for going off to be with his clutchmates. She waved her hand and shot him a "See ya later", then she went off in the direction of Language class. If there were any new students, they would certainly be there.

~

She was right! There were two students there who had congregated around the language room, and the other two students who didn't have their classes or dragons yet were surely approaching the room now. "Got any new students?!" She announced the question, which was easily more of a request than a question considering she saw them all right there. "New students, no dragons or rooms, come with me. Once we're done you can get back to your class."

Mitch stood behind her, so if they didn't see Sin over other students then there was no missing him. His head was held higher than usual to aid this purpose, making him seem taller than he usually did when his neck was curved downwards.

--- Jolinar/Agatha ----

Hearing the request for new students, the Sesseljae looked around for the speaker. Not directly seeing the speaker, but noticing the wyvern's head stuck out, made a logical guess. They must be near the wyvern.

Making her way towards Sin,

"I would be one of the newbies. I don't have a room assigned, though I did get a dragon from the registration officer."

Agatha half smiled at that memory, the Office had just finished the paperwork and was about to direct her to class when their attention was drawn by a rocking egg. Perhaps because of the new student/dragon pairing system - or perhaps the idea of a new hatchling scared the staff - she found the egg in question being offered to her.

Granted she could have declined and picked a different one, but that hadn't occurred to her at the time. Not that she'd have second thoughts, she'd got a little too attached to the little hatchling curled up on her shoulder.

It would be about then that her distinctive aura would be seen by the Azazel, and not long after that would Jolinar see the Azazel herself.

[Heehee reaction time should be fun]

Colress glanced to where the lady was. He shuffled around the phoenix, careful in case of any stray sparks, before making his was over. "I believe I as vell vould be considered under zhat category..." he spoke up carefully, keeping enough of a distance as he pushed up his glasses to better cover his gold eyes. He glanced over the two very briefly, taking quick notes, then glancing at the other new student. He gently hit his chest again. If it did take too long, he might have to skip this class. But, his education was important. His health could always be fixed by a pair of hands, a wrench or two, and a bit of oil. That could always wait. This was, of course, more important.

"A dragon egg," he murmured to himself. "now zhat is certain somezhing I could tell zhe Maker." he smiled faintly, a tiny chuckle emerging. He crossed his arms over his chest for a moment, resisting the urge to do any tinkering. If he tried now, he might mess something up even more, or he might elude to how he worked... A couple of his kind had, and they had ended up shut down, nearly permanently. He stalled a moment, freezing up as he watched the exchange, then he shook his head, looking at the floor. "...Do we have any opinion in room choice?" he asked slowly, looking up and tilting his head, hoping he wasn't really interrupting. ...Although, he had noticed that there seemed to almost be two of the speakers. Maybe one was smaller, or they were in hiding?

Camicar

Outside the language classroom

"Well, i do find some joy in reading a good story" Camicar said to Isolde as yet another person came over and introduce himself. This one had a small hatchling. what a cute dragon. Seeing one in person is nothing like reading about them Camicar thought. Then, the girl who had previously been sleeping woke up, and then introduced herself. Camicar took a small step out of the circle people. There were so many people there. He had never talked to as many people around his age before.

Then, as if from some dark evil shadow- no wait, thats not right he thought. As if from some bright evil ray of sun, another person showed up. This time, a dragon closer to adolescents accompanied. When the girl asked for any new people who hadn't gotten their eggs or rooms Camicar walked toward her. "I got my egg, but i didn't choose a room yet" he said. Now that he was closer, he noticed the girl seemed to have some demonic features, but also human ones too. Is this a...? No, it can't be. They wouldn't let one in here. They are too dangerous. All the books said so Camicar thought. He simply stood their, starring. An Azazel?

------------

Lorf

Science classroom

Hallway

Lorf was surprised when the griffon suddenly left. Maybe being indirect is not a good way to go about this he thought. Maybe the griffon disliked him, as opposed to his first thoughts. Well, there might still be a chance to not get on his bad side. He personally didn't fear the griffon, but he could be helpful if he got in a bad spot. There must be some reason. Is he up to something? the lizard wondered. It wasn't normal to just walk away for no reason. Maybe i'll find out what that is the over sized red scaled gecko thought. He went back to his desk to grab his egg and walked out of the room, following the 4 eyed creature, but at a distance. He wasn't hiding, but he did want to see what the griffon was up to.

Any glowy bits that people sported, or odd clanking noises they mad while hitting their chests, meant nothing to Sin anymore. She'd known the ropes for a whole year before this, and she'd gotten used to seeing odd people with their strange characteristics. It was normal to see the abnormal now, and nothing about it phased her. She first spoke the Agatha, the one with the odd golden glow. "You got a dragon already? Odd. But okay, if you chose your dragon already I won't bring you to the hatchery. Once you pick a room you can go to class." Sin's slightly tipped ears and clawed fingers seemed all the more prominent up close. It only took her speech to let all who knew what an Azazel was know that she was a member of the semi-damned breed. Any particular expert on the topic of Azazels would also take note of her metallic silver eyes. The eyes of the ruling Azazel bloodline. There was a strong possibility she was a descendant of Soulless, who had lead a bloody front against the other races a little more than sixteen years ago.

Of course none of this was near the forefront of Sin's mind. Why would it be? "You can choose any room from one to ninety-nine, except room 50. There's two people to a room, so if you have someone here you wanna be roommates with, just ask 'em." Some rooms were taken, but Sin hadn't memorized them. If there was a conflict, that person just wouldn't receive their keys and she'd tell them to pick another room. "Once you picked, just call out the room number and the key will drop from the ceiling." She wished she was joking on that last bit.

One student seemed frozen for some reason. He seemed a little bit faded in the light of the fixtures, but that wasn't what caught Sin's attention. He looked terrified. In old books written by humans, Azazels were often described to bring famine, disease and fire and in books written during the war, the most evil Azazels were said to have silver eyes. Sin fit the bill perfectly, but memories of being told about the prejudices against her kind had filtered to the back of her mind. She reached for his shoulder to try and calm him down, "You doing okay? You don't look so hot..."

Agatha nodded and confirmed the fact she had a dragon:

"I think I got my pick early due to the fact the egg was close to hatching..." she mentioned, by way of explanation to the guide's assertion that it was odd.

It was then that she saw the other speaker clearly, and did a mental double take. Like all humans, Agatha had been brought up on tales of the bloodthirsty race.

An Azazel? Never thought I'd see one of those in a position of authority - even borrowed authority.

On the other hand, Jolinar - her hitchhiking Sesseljae - had not heard most of those tales. Though the claws would be rather painful if used offensively, and the silver eyes were distinctive.

Silver eyes? Did you say silver eyes? Agatha practically snapped at Jolinar.

Ummm, yes I did..... Why? Jolinar's confusion was evident.

Realising that now was not the time nor the place to engage in a long mental conversation, Agatha shut that part of her mind off. I'll explain later... Now for to select a room number.

She looked around the rest of the new students, partially wondering if she should ask if they wanted to share and partially out of curiosity whether the keys would just materialise and fall on selection. Asking to share would be awkward as she didn't exactly know anyone...

Silmarwen, Student

Location: Science Class --> Language Class

Upon hearing the bell, Silmarwen skimmed through her notes. She was quite content with how science class turned out to be. Though she did understand the lesson, she still did not accept it as fact. It was only the first session anyway. Perhaps a few more classes would transform her indifference into enthusiasm on the subject. She closed her leather notebook and placed her belongings back into her satchel. By then, most of the students were already heading out of the classroom.

Rising from her seat, Silmarwen attempted to find her roommate and her seatmate in the mass of moving students. She wanted to speak to them before the beginning of the next class. Cassie was nowhere in sight. One might think that it would be easy to spot a being with wings in a crowd. But even with exceptionally keen vision, one might be easily distracted by the other unusual things that he might see--purple hair, emanating aura, an ethereal being, a trail of sparks, a dragon. Meanwhile, the Uccello headed off to another direction. Perhaps he was not attending the next class. Silmarwen decided that she would speak to him another time.

On the way to the venue of the next class, Silmarwen passed by a group of students that she had not seen during the first two classes. Arriving in the classroom, she chose a seat in the front row. But a few seconds later, she stood up and moved to a seat in the back row. If the language for this class was the common tongue, then language class would be easy for her. For many years before the war, Humans and Fire Elves engaged in trading. It was only natural that the Fire Elves became fluent in the common tongue due to the amount of interactions and negotiations with the Humans. Right now, Silmarwen was more interested in observing the other students, which was why she decided to sit at the back of the classroom instead.

As Sin called for students without rooms or dragons Deja hastily tried to put out some fire that had sprung up in his hair as he walked into the classroom. Looking around the room Deja spotted an elf in the back who seemed to be giving off the kind of heat only beings of magic could detect or produce. It was an easy way for fire-based creatures to find each other and came in handy when it was chilly as they could help warm each other up. "Hello!" he said cheerfully Sliding into a seat next to her, "My name's Deja, and this is my currently unnamed dragon hatchling. What's your name?"

As soon as the bell rang Kaius was out the door. Enough had happened in that room to make him feel sick, and he certainly didn't want to linger. What a fool, he thought, spotting the vampire and turning the other way in disgust. All that talk of love and such- even foolish flirting- it put him off big time.

Since he didn't have to go to class, he decided to go to his dorm, which he had chosen earlier.

Room 48.

He'd always had an attraction to that number; it was sort of deemed his 'lucky number', if that was how humans described it. Perhaps it had something of significance to his past life. But as always, he was simply guessing. He had no memories from his life before he woke up undead. That fact always bothered him. It was like you forever missed a part of who you were.

Kaius strode into the room, dropping the key on the counter as he passed. The bed and drawers that were meant to hold personal paraphernalia were empty, as he had brought nothing in. There was nothing that he owned that he was able to bring in. There wasn't anything he really needed. He didn't have to wear anything other than the cloak and tunic that he always had on, and he didn't need to take care of his body, as it was almost non-existent.

Upon his entry, a dark object, surrounded by broken bits of shell, had been inconspicuously curled in the windowsill, It stirred, unravelled and stretched. When Kaius sat on the bed, it slithered off the sill and onto the floor to look up at him. Its eyes were dreary and wilted, like a dying flower, and it crawled up on the bed.

"What do you want..." He murmured, and stroked its back. The hatchling, dead-like in appearance, rested its head on his lap and made an almost purring sound.

He couldn't feel the warmth of the body-- if there was any- on his lap but he laughed out in spite of himself.

"So I'm in charge of you, huh?"

The dragon, eyes closed, replied with a noise that could have been made out as a snore.

"So be it."
