This time, the theme is: Protection Submission deadline: August 12 Voting deadline: September 3 Submissions: Rules: - One entry per person. - A photograph is defined as an image made using a camera or phone camera. - Screenshots are not allowed. - Picture has to be made by yourself and can't be just a reproduction of someone's work. If someone else's work is in the picture, there needs to be something extra. - No manipulation besides basic photo adjustments (contrast, exposure, cropping, color balance, lighting, etc.). - No text or framing in the photo. A signature/watermark is just fine, but it's preferable if you don't have "O Hai Eye Hav3 T3XT" (or something similar) present in the photo. - When voting, please don't select your own image. This will ensure fairness. - You are free to submit an old photo; you don't need to take a new one just for this competition. - Winner hosts the next contest. - Hosts may re-use previous themes that have not been used in the last 10 contests. Posted September 5, 2023 I think something isn't displaying correctly for me, but it's like this both on my computer and on mobile. It says 12 people have voted but only shows 11 votes, and also shows a tie between sh20000sh and Gizmohihi. Is everyone else seeing something different? Am I missing something? Screenshot of what I'm seeing: Spoiler Also, I wanted to propose something for future contests. I've noticed the majority of votes come in within the first week of the poll opening, and I honestly feel like leaving voting for more than a week is way too long, especially if we're giving people 3-4 weeks to submit pictures (which I support). I'd suggest we limit polls to a single week, and only extend it with a tiebreaker poll in a new post when necessary. Thoughts? Share this post Link to post

Screenshot of what I'm seeing: Actually, I am seeing the same. The difference in numbers could happen if someone has nulled their vote. It still shows as a person voting, but doesn't count toward anyone's score. It does look like a tie to me, though. Share this post Link to post

Posted September 7, 2023 I think once you've voted once in a thread, even if a new poll is added or the original poll is changed, you can't vote again in the same thread. So the only way to do a tiebreaker and let everyone vote again is a new thread. I didn't even know you could nullify votes, so I guess that explains what happened. Anyway, I didn't mean to call @sh20000sh's victory into question (congrats!), I was just trying to figure out what was going on, lol. What does everyone think about this? I thought someone had voted for sh20000sh and then nullified that vote, taking the number from 5 to 4 and thus creating (the appearance of) a tie. Share this post Link to post

Majority of submitting was worked like that in my opinion. Most of submission was submitted during first few days and last few days regardless how long its deadline were. I'm thinking next one would be 10 days for submitting and one week for voting.
