Welcome to the Photography Contest!

 

Welcome back for another round of the DC Photography contest, come and show us what you've got! 

 

This time, the theme is: Dragons

 

Photos only of dragons that have given their consent.

No dragons may be harmed for the pictures.

No close-ups of teeth allowed. That has never ended well.

It is not necessary to submit a photograph of a wild, live dragon. I am sure that there are harmless possibilities galore.

 

Submission deadline: 5th of November. Just because that's also fire-related.

 

The poll is up! I hope everyone followed the safety procedures and has enough limbs left to vote.

 

Voting deadline: 4th of December.

 

Submissions:

 

Rules:

- One entry per person.

- A photograph is defined as an image made using a camera or phone camera.

- Screenshots are not allowed.

- Picture has to be made by yourself and can't be just a reproduction of someone's work. If someone else's work is in the picture, there needs to be something extra.

- No manipulation besides basic photo adjustments (contrast, exposure, cropping, color balance, lighting, etc.).

- No text or framing in the photo. A signature/watermark is just fine, but it's preferable if you don't have "O Hai Eye Hav3 T3XT" (or something similar) present in the photo.

- When voting, please don't select your own image. This will ensure fairness.

- You are free to submit an old photo; you don't need to take a new one just for this competition.

- Winner hosts the next contest.

- Hosts may re-use previous themes that have not been used in the last 10 contests.

Hmmm! I used my only dragon picture in a contest that I won previously, so guess I will have to find another dragon that will allow its picture to be entered.

The only one I can find was a rather fine head made by my daughter at summer camp, way back in the early 80s.

Thanks! And yes! My local zoo has one running currently, and I finally managed to go last night (and take a bunch of pictures), it was really cool.
