With just a bit over two weeks left to go, I would like to get some feedback on how to handle prizes at the end of the challenge. I would really like to see everyone who finishes the challenge get some kind of prize. But how do we define "finishing" and how do we handle the distribution of the prizes? I have quoted below the section on prizes from the first post. I would love to get your ideas on the subject.

@purplehaze I liked the idea of the prizes being from this project. Not sure how anyone else feels but there are some really pretty lineages on here.

I'd offer my own lineage up if anyone was interested

Not really sure what else to offer (is there like any specific requirement or something? Or something you have in mind?) I can't really catch rares but I do have some altkin and somewhat low gen prizes I can breed? I can try trading for things too. 

 

For finishing...I think anyone who has been participating until the end counts? Or has been breeding consistently for the past months regardless of whether or not those attempts have been successful?

 

Honestly I don't even care about prizes, I just feel satisfied that I actually managed to follow-through and keep up with this project ;w;

I think this is the longest lineage I've ever bred on DC from start to finish all on my own :'D

Maybe consider the people who update their lineage any time up to one week prior to the finish as successful participants? No matter how short or long it is. 😁 Defining an acceptable lineage is too sensitive, I think, so I think better you don't go there, it'll do your head in. 

 

I'd like to see everyone getting a prize, perhaps in the process you suggested for the winners. First choice, second choice, third choice etc. Or you can use that  random number thingy for all the prizes after third. 

 

And yes, eggs from the contest lineages would be great, and as a participant, fun to donate.

 

I am with @Mochi. This has been so much fun, and it is the longest lineage I have bred from the start as well. (and bragging, even when you're losing is also fun )

@Justie Your lineage is lovely and definitely brag-worthy. Not to mention you managed to juggle two lineages! I keep wanting to do a second lineage but I can just barely manage one. I don't know how you do it.
