Posted March 26, 2018 Oh my goodness.... But then again something like that happens often here Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 We arrived just as they were putting him in the ambulance, so no real idea if he's ok or not. Bits of bike were all over the pavement though. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 Yeah. A lot of people speed round there, even though the limit is about 20. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 People speed in our street as well and it's a dead end street O.O Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 No but we hear tyres screeching a lot. We live in a more industrial area so we get massive trucks passing by more than people speeding. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 Well as long as no one goes slamming into a truck. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 I think a few kids have when they ride with their bicycles... but they luckily just stand up and walk it off. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 It's not that bad... Happened to me a few times. The trick is to make sure you don't hit your head I have a bit of a fever. Wish I could cool down a bit. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 There's cooling down and there's being completely frozen. Any sign of any rain for you? Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 I take it you are the frozen one! Nope... The clouds looked promising the weekend but nothing. Meanwhile people in Northern South Africa is basically flooding from all the rain. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 I am. Everyone else has a radiator. Didn't you say something was going to happen in April if the rain didn't come? Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 Can't you bring like your own little heater to work? In April it would have been Day Zero when they will close our tapes and we then will need to get water from certain locations. But because a lot of people started saving water the date was pushed back to June somewhere. The thing is if we don't get enough rain this winter we will surely not survive next summer. But there are plans but those plans will cost in the billions for them to apply. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 They really need to get off their butts and do something. People need water. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 To much politics is involved and no money to do anything. Some foreigner spoke on TV the other day about bringing an iceberg from Antarctica that would be enough for us to survive the next summer. But it would cost an insane amount of money. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 Well I hope something happens soon. I don't you want having your own version of Mad Max. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 Heck I don't want that either. I just wish I can have a proper shower or a bath. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 I bet. Is the water allowance per person or per household? Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 It's 50L per person at the moment. I can save that easily... it just when the washing comes along that it gets a bit hard Share this post Link to post
Posted March 26, 2018 Can they somehow ship some of that rainwater from northern South Africa to you? Good afternoon, CPA! *sets out sandwiches and yoghurt* I am looking forward to the long weekend, though I do still have to work Saturday. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 27, 2018 There is some talk about laying down pipes from the north but I don't know if that will even happen in time. Good morning everyone! Share this post Link to post
