Our project is expected to slow during holidays seasons so our members can grab their fill of holiday dragons Our Goals Here at The Endless Chess Board, our goal is to create the longest, inbred free, even gen checkered linage on DC using a male black x female white pattern. How does it work? TECB Breeders and TECB Hunters will breed M black x F white dragons. TECB Breeders will be given a 4 gen range that they will breed for. TECB Hunters hunt for CBs and breed 2nd gens. Only one properly gendered dragon from each pair will be reported and be marked down according to gen in a set of google documents. For 3rd+ gens, the parents will be marked as bred in the gen records, while 2nd Gen's CB parents will be recorded. These Recorded dragons will continue in TECB Project.These are called Chess Pieces. All other unrecorded offspring are considered Pawns and will not be used in the main project. This is to help prevent overlapping and inbreeding. Once a TECB Breeder has carried a line as far they are listed, they then post a teleport link to egg for the next set of breeders to take. What are Pawns? Pawns are the additional offspring from TECB Project. These are unrecorded and will not be used in the main project. Even though pawns do not help our end goal, pawns are what makes this fun. Pawns are free to be traded and gifted between breeders to help build personal lines. We encourage them to also consider gifting to our generous donors. Pawns can be traded and gifted to outside parties as well as dropped in the AP or killed. While Alts are welcomed in TECB Project, they can be claimed as Pawns as long as a Chess Piece is still provided. What do TECB Hunters do? TECB Hunters are the most important part fof this project. Hunters are the ones searching for CBs. They then breed our 2nd gens to be moved to the breeders. Hunters do not have an easy job. Pawns may be provided for trade use. for this, fill out a pawn request form. For our end goal of 20 Gens, we need 262,144 CB Blacks and 262,144 CB Whites for a total of 524,288 CB dragons. What do TECB Breeders do? TECB Breeders will be given a 4 gen range that they will work in (e.g. Carl67 is given gens 2-5). Each properly gendered Chess Piece that a TECBB Breeds will have a report form filled out. Once a report is sent in, those parents cannot be used to breed another Chess Piece, only Pawns. Following our example, if Carl67 breeds a 4th gen x 4th gen, the resulting egg is a 5th gen, which is still his to breed. However, if he breeds a 5th gen x 5th gen, the resulting egg is a 6th gen and would be transferred to a 5-8 gen breeder. This is to help keep things simple, moves dragons quicker, and helps prevent people for getting lost in the clutter. Rules -Basic form rules apply - DO NOT kill a Chess Piece. This will damage our progression as that section then has to be replaced. -If you donate PLEASE do not kill the parents. Although it causes less damage since they will eventually be hidden, we still request that you let them live. -While CBs do not have to carry the name, all 2nd+ gens used for TECB Project must have "Chess" or "TECB" somewhere in their name. This does not include Pawns. Other than that they can be named and sorted how ever you wish. - TECB Breeders must report only ONE properly gendered Chess Piece per pairing. - DO NOT use a parent twice for Chess Pieces. - They must be an even gen to count as a Chess Piece. - While you may post requesting Pawns through the proper form, bothering someone repeatedly for a Pawn is not acceptable. - If you have not reported any new dragons within a month, you will be marked as inactive. There is no punishment. However if someone has a pawn from your Chess line that hasn't made it to the next group of breeders, they may be used instead. If this is untrue and you're simply having issues, let a mod know. - Conversation is welcome but keep it about the project and pawns. Any topic that exceeds 3 posts that is not about TECB is unacceptable and should be moved to PM. If no one grabs it before my scroll unlocks, I may grab it and hold onto it to give to anyone in this project that wants it. However, the pairings are still untried, so since I can't foresee refusals, I would rather not name specific pairs (or even CBs - I have 9 potential mothers to choose from, but only 8 fathers), yet.
