Phoenix pack

Fen cracked his knuckles. "You already know how this goes. Like I've said, I've never been scratched in combat since I came here, and we've sparred many times." He clasped his arms behind his back and smiled. "Bring it on." He proceeded to dodge, sidestep, or jump out of the way of all his attacks. *Sidestep* "Oh, that was a close one!" *Duck* "Nearly got me there." *Roll* "Sorry, you're gonna have to do better than that!"

Reyne stood up, releasing poor Esko, and signalled them to follow. "I know about a conference room we never use. We can use that."

((Esko please start making longer posts, or I'll have to ask Aroara to replace you.))

Jax nodded and followed. He continued to look at the place, and if anyone came eye to eye with him, he would politely nod with a smile. It wasn't as elaborate as his last pack's, but he thought this pack was newer and hadn't built up as much yet. He thought about his old estate and how it was burned down for fear of the disease that killed it's residence.

((Okay, my statement in 7 Seas was a lie, I can make another post now))

Ah, this place was wonderful. Esko knew it like the back of his hand, he needed to after all. Now, the confrence room....confrence room...

Esko walked in front of the confrence room and turned the doorknob, which gleamed a golden color. He went to a chair and sat down. Alright, we are in private. You may speak. He said with a stern tone, sititng up straight with his hands folded. The look in his eyes meant buisness; he would not accept any joking around.

((Ahhh, dreaded school starts))

Reyne sat in one of the chairs at the medium sized table, and indicated him to sit as well. She addressed him, speaking in a cool, level tone. "Since you have come into this house, you have been reserved, quiet, and requesting an audience. Either you're extremely polite (rare these days), a bringer of weighty news (the more likely choice), or you have formal business with us. I personally don't like it. It puts me on edge. My point is this: Why are you here?"

Jax sat down and set his suitcase on the table. "As I said, I am the lone survivor of an epidemic that wiped out my pack... A pain I blame myself for... While our packs were never that close, we weren't hostile in anyway. As a doctor, I feel responsible for doing my job to the best of my ability, no matter who it is I work with. You were the only pack I know that isn't crowded. I was wondering if maybe you would consider added another wolf to the pack? If you want to ask me anything first, I would be happy to answer any questions you have if you need to know more about me before letting me in."

Reyne brightened up. "Oh, why didn't you say so? Of course you can!" She hugs him warmly. "Welcome to the Phoenix pack! Don't cause trouble and we won't kill you!" She released him and beamed brightly. "And I would hate to get blood on anything."

Jax blinked in surprise at the hug. With her 'threat', he studdered, "D-Do not worry Mrs. Alpha. I plan to take my designated place and work on some things. I will make food for myself... So I won't be a bother unless one of you needs me." He nervously smiled.

Reyne waves her hand dismissively. "Oh, that won't do at all! To live in this house and not taste Fen's cooking would be sinful!" She ushers him out. "Go meet everyone!" After he was out, she walked over to Esko and wrapped her arms around him, resting her head against his chest. "This pack has gotten so big... I don't know how to take care of everyone." She let out a shuddering breath. "I'm a terrible alpha. I have no clue how to be a leader. I don't want to screw something up and hurt someone."

Jax was escorted out and cringed as the door behind him closed. He stood there by the door like a lost wolf pup. Not sure where to go or what to do. He held tightly to his suitcase and watched his surroundings. He sighed heavily, "They could have told me where my room was..." With a nervous first step, he began to wander the estate.

Esko was rather surprised that he was hugged. He simply returned the hug. You are not terrible, just...new. I am new as well. He rubbed her head. Despite how he was raised in his old pack, he was worried he was terrible as well. How was he leading the pack? How did the rest of the pack think of him? And poor Fenrir... Despite all that Esko did to care for him as a dad, he must've been doing/done something wrong at some point.

((Gal... had some reading to do... (picture of the place in Fenrir first post... )))

Fenrir snorted and started to get frustrated so he just stopped. He was a dagger thrower, with terrifying accuracy, so quickness was his thing.... and silence. Fae might think he is silent, but he knew the house like Alpha did. It was easy to sneak up on someone if you can't speak or make a sound that'll give you away. He waited until Fae was confused then went low and pounced on him, smacking him across the face hard enough to leave a mark.

Yes, he didn't want to hurt him too much so he smacked him. He held his shirt front and snarled silver eyes piercing.

Crimson had a slight grin on her features as she made the first move to strike. With excellent speed she landed a few hits on Cecille that she left uncovered or didn't block very well, though at the same time Crimson made sure to dodge in time with the other female's attacks to either evade the blow completely or to take less damage from them. Leaping back the smaller female put a good distance between herself and her spar opponent, her eyes glinting like fire as her eyes took a more of a reddish color.

Cecille evaded the first heavy hit as Crimson came rushing towards her, black hair whipping around in a flurry as she attempted to strike the other female first: her natural fighting style, of course. She managed to land a few hits while being careless about her own defense, and although the girl had to admit that she probably felt a few bruises forming here and there, she could hardly care in the heat of battle. Again, she readied herself and pounced forwards--even if she wasn't equipped with knuckles, she could still fight with her fists good enough. Admittedly, Crimson was unlike most she had fought--the other had agility and speed like no other, but no matter. Cecille was sure she'd be able to keep up--and even if not, she'd find another way.

She returned the other's red glare with a sharp yellow gaze, watching the other carefully for her next movements. "You're a good fighter," she admitted, raising her voice.

Above, Jenibelle's eyes widened as the four suddenly began attacking each other. A battle? No, that was unlikely. Perhaps a simple spar? Even so, rarely had she seen fighting prowess like these few. Amazed, the girl watched enchanted for a few seconds before suddenly being filled with an urge to go down and look. She gently put the book back on the shelf, fluffed up her locks quickly, and started out the door.

Crimson stood still, her muscles tensing in a defensive stance as her gaze never left Cecille. "You're pretty good yourself." The younger female had landed quite a few good blows to her, though Crimson wasn't phased by it even though she knew they'd cause a bit of bruising. After all, she was trained to take hits. Studying her opponent she took notice that Cecille wasn't too good in keeping her defenses up, giving the older female a slight strategic advantage.

With a faint growl she stood in wait, not wanting to waste energy in striking out again first. With the little time Crimson had she made sure to observe Cecille's every move.

"I'll take that as a compliment," Cecille returned, not giving the other a moment to reply before rushing forwards. She'd admit; she was at a slight disadvantage due to the other female being more of a guard than anything, but Cecille would never give up on a fight.

She dropped low, using momentum to swing around and kick the other off her guarded stance.

Fae widened his eyes in surprise. Fenrir had improved greatly since they had last sparred, but not quite enough. He continued the momentum of the blow into a spinning kick, landing solidly in the center of Fen's chest. He straightened up, flashing a crooked grin. "Tsk, tsk. That's no good, my dear Fen. You'll have to do better."

Reyne looked up at him, teary eyed. "That's so not true. You're kind and loyal and loving. We wouldn't be the same without you."

Fenrir landed on his back and huffed, pointing at his legs... which where tangled up in Fae's. As soon as the older wolf looked at what he was pointing at he kicked out his legs sitting up in a half split, leg out, and one tucked under him as he brought Fae down with a lunge at his waist. This time he smacked his other cheek with a smirk then vaulted back in a hand stand before landing on his feet, a little ways away from the wolf.

He crouched down low eyes locked on him. He bore his teeth in a smug grin. A beta has to be strong, and Esko trained him for a while. No one beats the Alpha male.... but he got close one or twice....

The older female taken by surprise felt her legs being swept out from underneath her. Before hitting the ground Crimson twisted her body around in a swift movement, landing back onto her feet her body low to the ground. She wasted no time in striking back in retaliation, launching herself off the ground she landed a stunning uppercut to one of Cecille's unprotected spots, her eyes' blazing stare locked on her target as she landed the hit.

Cecille grimaced, pushed back by the force of the blow. The girl steadied herself, panting as she felt pounding pain radiate in her ribs--goodness, that was always her weakest spot.

Despite herself, Cecille couldn't help but laugh slightly. It had been a while--or way too long--since she'd been in a battle felt actual pain. The feeling brought back memories of fighting for her life, of bringing down enemy after enemy, and it was wondrous. Nothing of the fake manners and elegance of a place she had felt so out of tune with always; this felt her like her world, her childhood.

She dashed back immediately after giving herself a split second to breathe, locking eyes with the other female. Cecille ducked and swung, attempting to get underneath the other's defenses.

Crimson took notice in Cecille's change, she could tell that this spar, this heated battle, was bringing out a side of her that showed true enjoyment. Something that she rarely saw out of her.

Though that didn't stop Crimson from fighting on. As the female rushed at her she succeeded in blocking most of the oncoming hits. But not all of them. A slight fault in Crimson's defenses caused her slip up. One of the powerful punches found its mark as it made impact to her stomach, knocking the air out of her the instant it landed.

Stumbling back from the impact, the older wolf kept a good distance from Cecille. Her breathing coming in ragged pants as she recovered from the well dealt hit.

Cecille was breathing heavily as well--despite the adrenaline rush that had come from such heated battling, she'd taken some pretty heavy damage. Crimson was in no means a bad fighter--in fact, the female more than excelled tactic-wise. She smirked as the other separated from their close range, and both took a well needed breather. The girl clutched tightly at her ribs, where multiple hits had taken perfect aim, and though she was no stranger to pain Cecille did have to admit she didn't see a victory in sight--both of them were too evenly matched.

"Tired?" she asked her sparring partner, her breathing still hitched.

Crimson gave a faint nod, her body sore and more than likely pretty bruised from the well matched spar. "Yeah.....you did rather well, seems we came to a draw." She gave a slight pained chuckle, rather impressed by Cecille's skills. She did make an excellent fighter. Crimson walked over to the younger female and gave her hand a good shake, a sign that she respected her as a worthy opponent. "I bet we won't be forgetting this anytime soon hehe.."

Cecille blinked, returning the handshake as she stared at Crimson with a certain air of wonder. Her battles usually didn't end so . . . peacefully.

The girl nodded and even gave the other a little smile before replying: "Definitely. You're a good fighter," she added, rubbing her side. "That was fun. It's been a while."

Jax wandered until he heard a heavy sound. Following the noise, he came across Fae and Fenrir fighting, sparring, some sort of conflict. Regardless, one of them could get hurt. What better way to make himself known as the new Doc than to heal.

Faelias dashed in for a hit and feinted at the last second, turning it into a quick roll behind Fen where he brought his arms up into a headlock. "Give it up, Fen," he said, grinning. "It's hopeless." Edited by Dorchadas
