Posted December 30, 2011 For your information, the sprite was seen and critiqued by a number of spriters, so I made sure I got the best version possible before submitting it to TJ. ^^ Worked in secret, because it was meant to be. /still very proud of the sprite, despite of some people looking for its flaws. I think it's the perfect result of the way I envisioned them to be. Share this post Link to post

I think it's the perfect result of the way I envisioned them to be. I doubt anyone's saying that it's not a good sprite - they're just pointing out areas where you could improve upon in the future. That's really important to your growth as an artist. I actually think it's nice that they're trying to be constructive! They CARE! Even with flaws, hitting your personal vision is very important. Don't let the amount of commentary you're getting bring you down. It's the Internet, and anything you post is likely to be critiqued or commented upon, whether or not you want it. It's up to you how you handle it. But again, achieving something even CLOSE or... well, that matches your personal vision of what you wanted is fantastic. Be proud of yourself. Posted December 30, 2011 YAY! Mine just grew up! I wanted to thank the spriter and site for such a gorgeous dragon. I love it! It's so different from all the other dragons. So unique. Love the pose, love the sharp edges, love it! I totally want to be greedy and ask the amazing spriter to do a hanukkah dragon realease for next year. Share this post Link to post

Posted December 30, 2011 I wish the alts were the regular, just like last year with the Ribbon Dancers--such gorgeous coloration! Makes me jealous of the spriters Share this post Link to post

Posted December 30, 2011 My boys grew up around midnight...stayed up late just to see their adult sprites on my scroll. Hope some new dragons are released next year that will pair well with these guys...I'm really drawing a blank on something I think looks good with them. Share this post Link to post
Posted December 30, 2011 Earthgirl: I think they are lovely! Just ignore all the people picking on your art... because they have no say in the matter. Share this post Link to post
Posted December 30, 2011 Overall, I'd say that the dragon is good; the sprite was pretty unique and I liked how the eggs had snow falling off them, but I don't think the name and the description was well thought of, like the spriters were rushed or didn't want to do the description and so invested less effort in it. "Christmas dragon" could be said for any other dragon that is released during Christmas or any other kind of dragon that can only breed during Christmas. Share this post Link to post

All the Christmas dragons have the same description, actually. Share this post Link to post
